I ordered my Rockauto part on line per the Make, model, year, ect... The part arrived however, it will not fit my vehicle. I checked the part #, vehicle make, model, year, engine, ect... all matched. To return the part I have to pay shipping. Rockauto, you advertised this part as the right part for my car but it's not. Now, I have to pay to ship it back. The part is not anywhere close to being correct. See pic. The threads are clearly not the same. Mine are male. Yours are female. The required curve to the metal end of the hose is completely different. There is no way to make this part work.
Fast shipping and direct fit to my 2015 Tahoe LTZ 2wd. Great product, very satisfy with easy fit with no problems. My vehicle front struts replacement and ride is like new. Not to mention price was incredible compare to other auto part stores. Way less.

Ordered some simple tow hook covers for my rav4 but Rockauto failed to mention that the parts were specific to a certain sub-model, the limited edition. When I inquired about getting the right parts or a refund I was told to pound sand as I had damaged one of the covers attempting to make the part fit. Take your money elsewhere.
I ordered a catalytic converter and support brackets were not in correct place. So i ordered another before shipping the first. The second one also had a issue with the O2 sensor hole was in incorrect places. I finally received refund on the first one, but have not received any thing on the second one, It has been 2-3 months and still nothing. There is no way to contact via phone, and no options on the refund section,
Im sure most of the low reviews here are from fake competitors, Rock Auto has by far the best prices and more choices than you could ever ask for, fast shipping too, I have made dozens of purchases and never had an issue
I ordered 2 CV axles for my truck. When I received the order one of the axles was damaged. Processed an exchange order for a replacement. When I received the replacement it also was damaged. RockAuto will not send another replacement as they can't guarantee the next won't be damaged. I can only return it for a refund. This means I need to send both back as both of my axles need to be replaced. RockAuto wants me to pay to ship one axle back. RockAuto is forcing the return so they need to do right and absorb the shipping cost. Its not my fault the axle received is damaged. Sent e-mails with no response. Left voice messages with no response.
Ordered a couple power steering hoses, cost more to ship than their supposed price. The box came sealed with their tape however the hoses were clearly in opposite bags (right part#'s just swapped bag/labels) One was not crimped on one end that had a crimp there, but it just wasn't fastened down. On the same side of the crimp, the special threaded fitting that was there was actually not. On the other hose, it was crimped down but same story again, missing a fitting. BUYER BEWARE- The reason the parts is because they are a scam company that charges more for shipping than the parts so when you get their trash it'll cost you more to return it than they will refund you!
1. Part didn't fit. I described the issue,.
2. I asked for return authorization. It required that I pay some shipping costs. I refused.
3. RockAuto insisted that I take photos showing them the problem. I refused to do their research for them after my description of the problem to them.
4. Some time lapsed, and I sent part back at my cost to get it out of my shop.
5. They refunded my original cost but not all of my return shipping costs.
6. You've been warned. Never will I ever do business with RockAuto again.
If the part they advertise does not match what they send, they offer no ability to communicate, no ability to exchange the part for the right one, no ability to even determine what the right part is, and no ability to get a refund on the wrong part they sent. They've disconnected their phone lines, as a customer you are just screwed. Check YELP and other sites before buying. Be warned.
I ordered a drive shaft for my jeep,. To he shipped to Qatar. ROCKAUTO had the correct part and when I placed the order I have selection of carriers for delivery, DHL, FedEx, US Post etc.
I always avoid FEDEX like the plague. So chose DHL. $150 was the charge. Fair enough I need the part.
However the part left rockauto, went to DHL...and DHL returned the part to rockauto same day. No communication to me. DHL can't provide the reason. Rockauto can't provide the reason. I have no idea the reason.
Rockauto refunded the returned part however saw fit to deduct the $150 shipping fee. Great. So what do i do now. I can't risk ordering the part again if the same thing happens. Again?
Sent me the wrong part. Was not pictured as stated on their website. Didn't notice the slight difference when installing the pulley. Car never left the driveway. They want me to buy a new part, wait for it, then return the other part that is wrong, then wait for a refund. NOPE, not doing it. I even asked them to just send me a shipping label and I'll send the part back and when they receive it, they could just refund me. Their answer was no.
So, I will no longer buy parts through them.
They need to be more specific on engine oil pump & listing it next to the engine oil category. They sent me a transmission oil pump. Fluid is what I have always known of it to be called & that pump be called transmission pump, not just oil pump. I also tried ordering pistons & rings, but want let me. Oh well there are other companies to order the right parts from.
Incorrect parts shipped and then returns denied because you opened the packaging. How else am I supposed to know it does not fit? I am not sure.
To make it even worse, their automated return system (you can never talk to a human) makes you read small numbers off the part so you have to take it out of the packaging and then... yes, you have opened it so you cannot return it. What a sham.
Buy from a more reputable place. The additional money you have to spend on wrong parts sent to you by Rockauto will likely cover even much more expensive places.
I ordered parts to repair my AC. One part was backordered. All the parts arrived except my AC condenser. I waited 3 months for it to be back in stock. I received it and then attempted to replace all the ac components on my truck. After taking the entire ductwork out from under the dash (huge and difficult job). I see that the heater core is not a match and the ac solenoid switch is not correct. Then I remove the grill and realized that the condenser was completely wrong too.
Their pictures don't match. They only offer 30 day returns and the process is very tedious and deters an easy return.
They sent the wrong part and a ripped up box I saw it was the wrong part tried numerous time to get some help but to no avail took part back and never received my mo yea or a phone call number was left and numerous email sent and nothing worst company to do business with!
I placed an order on Sunday that is supposed to arrive on Wednesday. I never received an email confirmation, but have the electronic receipt. Looking up the order on their website, it can't be found, so I have no idea if I will get the parts or when I'll get them. Because I can't trace an order, I can't check on it. Their website offers no other way to contact them except for having the order available. I'm kicking myself for not ordering through Amazon.
I ordered some parts for my car, it was supposed to be delivered by the date on the receipt. Not only was it not delivered but it was returned without any notice. I called DHL, they notified me that rockauto returned the package due to my name. If you have a middle eastern name, don't bother using rockauto!
ROCKAUTO Sent Me a damaged part right out of the box! I returned it! Three days later they sent another damaged part! All I can say is! If you can get your part locally! DO IT! And please tell all the people you like to stay away from rockauto.com!
Good Quality parts, but the customer service sucks, i paid for a part to get here earlier then normal, But a week later still no part. Tried to call but they don't have support customer service over the phone, so I go online and they don't support customer service online like they said. So I'm just out of the money I paid and have to wait for my part if it show up. Don't us RockAuto cheaper parts but not worth the time.
As you search for your needed parts and you're in the moment of discounts. Stop! Buyer be-where as you navigate to the shipping section. Priority mail what a joke. Pony Express is more the word. Now add your shipping to the cost and the time delays... Research your local auto parts store and evaluate. Not worth the hassle. Never! Never!
