Buyer beware This company makes you pay for shipping and return shipping This is how they're making their money they have no customer service by telephone. That lets me know they really don't care about their customer because they can't face the music when somebody's upset about how much money they return you when you do a refund.
I bought the wrong parts for my car & immediately sent them back after I purchased the return label waited over a month & never heard about my refund turns out they said I sent it to the wrong warehouse but would not disclose the address. I followed the instructions on the return policy & still they said they didn't get them then they blocked my emails
I was hesitant at 1st but was very well satisfied with the order. I taught it was a scam website but found to be legit. All thumbs up for rock auto. You can call me for reviews. All hails for rock auto!
Service is just TERRIBLE! If you have any issue with your order, know that there is no way to reach any representative via phone at Rock Auto. They don't do phones. And if you need to return a part, you are paying for the shipping. What really ticked me off is my order is being returned because they sent the wrong part. They sent two left brake calipers and no right brake caliper. They keep trying to tell me it's my fault and they sent the right parts... well, then why don't they come try and install a left caliper on the right with the bleeder screw and brake hose on the bottom outer side of the car.
I have used rock auto for 10 plus years never had an issue withparts or warranty the issues I did have where because of shipping ie fed x to be honest fed x sucks they always damage the package accept one time in 2014 they actually deliver it in good condition fair warning it's the shipper not rock auto I wish they would offer a different shipper that would be amazing ps I am a mechanic some parts can not be dropped like brake rotors and oxygen sensors
Do not order from them unless you want already used/defective parts. I got a part and since I know what to order but not know how to out it on I let my husband do it and when we put it on my car felt the same which was shaking and what not went to autozone and got the same part and they gave the same part and I put it on my car and my car felt great. I tried to get my money back and they won't give me my money back 30 day return policy but got lost in the mail and came to me after 14 days. How tf am I supposed to work with that and get my kids to and from with a defective part. Real nice rock auto real nice.
I ordered parts for a few cars and trucks it took some time for me to get around to working on all of them. Now is was a order that was made over 30 day ago so now I have two parts a oil filter and a cv axle which is the wrong parts. So now I have parts which I can't return and I have no idea what car or truck they fit. You can't contact them so I feel this company is more for making money than customers service this is what I call a scam company. So be very careful about dealing with them they will take your money but won't take care of problems they cause. Out of 5 stars I give them a -5.
Please dont buy from this website. Their customer service is terrible. First you can only contact them by email and it is a challenge to find their email in their website. Second they will reply to you after you almost forgot what was the reason you contact them for. Even if it is their mistake and they owe you a few dollars, they will find a justification for not to pay you anything, and then close your case so you cant email them back
Half of the parts I ordered were completely wrong. The spark plugs inside the boxes didn't match the number on the box. One of the eight spark plug boxes was empty. The plug wires were supposed to be direct fit, and they weren't, and did not even include the correct Style ends. The return system is a complete joke, they won't accept fault and won't refund me for the shipping. I've spent thousands of dollars with them over the years and dozens of orders, this is the first one they got wrong and they refused to take responsibility for it.
So, RockAuto had me input my car make, model, and style so I trusted it would send me the correct parts I needed. I ordered front and rear break pads and rotors. It costed about $236. The rotors they sent me was way too big for my car. So I returned them and as I started the return process it said it would take away $35 of my refund to ship it back. I figured they would take something since I paid $50 for shipping but they sent me an email and only refunded me $150 back?! It's their fault I got the wrong parts but it's crazy they said they would've only take $35 out of refund and took pretty much half of it! Then you can't get ahold of anyone at all. I will never use them again or recommend them.
I bought a Reman AC Delco Alternator, the first one the bearing went out in 3 months, the replacement part was shipped to me and it had a bent rear casing and broke internal plug housing. I know its a reman but seriously, just requested a full refund!

We ordered brake drums and rotors for a Toyota Tundra, they came to us defective. We had them installed and then went to get our brake's bled and they said our rotors/drums were warped. Ordered 4 shocks 4 rotors and pads and some filters. Not a single part matched what I ordered. They were all the wrong parts in the right boxes. Went to return and they want me to pay return shipping which adds up to roughly $100. I paid shipping to get them and this is their mistake but of course there is no customer service so nobody to call. They also say on their website they have to inspect the part before they will issue a refund. So if they decide not to refund apparently that is okay. I wouldn't trust this company.
Don't deal with RockAuto. It's a company that shows a correct part on their website that you need and order, and then ships something else. They have NO customer service, and only an automated system for returns. Only problem, is that they will gladly take back an order, and charge a shipping cost. In my case, a charge of $130, that was twice the cost of a fender.
It's a classic bait and switch operation; with no recourse, but to suck it up, keep a wrong part, and never deal with RockAuto again. It was a costly mistake on my part.
ROCKAUTO: shame on you! A big fat ZERO is what you deserve.
I recently purchased a brake rotor and pad kit. Package showed up damaged and only having 1 rotor. The package was miissing the other rotor and the 2 sets of brake pads. After making dozens of orders off of rockauto before I have never had a problem. I talked with Joe at customer service and he basically says too bad... Even though they damaged the product and still shipped it out AS WELL AS missing 3/4 of the kit it was supposed to come with I have to pay ½ the value to send this trash back. Joe was extremely unhelpful and it is customer service like his that gives rockauto the 1 star review it has.
Didn't receive all my order & they refuse to send the missing parts to complete order. Without sending back part of the order that came. Of course I pay shipping on their mistake & will only credit 75$ towards shipping when It costs 210$ to ship back & they refuse to send missing parts or send me a refund. Place is trash will never use again
The customer service support really sucks, the website wants u to choose a refund or order a replacement part but you can't talk to anyone to find out if your ordering another part that won't fit, at partsgeek you can talk to a person when you have a problem like this to make sure that your ordering the part that actually fits your car
I ordered rotors and didn't have a chance to put them in for a while I went to put them in and they were too big. You can't even talk to anyone at all. There policy is after 30 days no refunds. I didn't want a refund but the correct part. Their site suggested the wrong part. Terrible company. How can you do business if you can't talk to anyone. I'll never buy from them again and I'll tell everyone I know...
I purchased for shocks from rock auto on November 2016. They worked well for about 7 months but then started bottoming out so i tried to get a warranty exchange form rock auto because at the time of purchased they stated it had a lifetime warranty. I was told that they no longer work with this manufacturer and will not honor the warranty and was to to contact the manufacturer. That is horrible and very dishonest and i will tell the world that rock auto does not stand by the products they sell.
Customer service number doesn't exist. Their online algorithm question answering system sucks. If you email customer service they return your email once. And if they actually answer your question is a whole nother situation. They will lie so they don't have to actually help you. Part was $53.00 after I returned it because the est. Shipping date was wrong I got $16.00 back I had to pay restocking, return shipping. I didn't open it. They misquoted shipping arrival by a week.
