Be careful. They will change the name soon. They will continue scamming people under the new name. Always check first before you pay. Once you pay, they will ask more to put your list on top. Some of people on the list looking for room are probably in heaven or hell. They also changed my address on my ad. If you paid already, ask your bank to help you get your money back which I did.

I just signed up with easy roommate and very quickly learned that I signed up for a scam. The people on the site are 99 percent fake and after googling their pictures they show up as legit people which identity is stolen or misused. I contacted them to report several scam pictures, however, the next day I still found them in my email box. I was being so dumb... to think that any roommate want's to pay over $2000 was being naive on my part. I had to cancel after two weeks... do not go there

I found 0 people that I would rent to on this site. The one person that showed interest was out of the country and wanted the place in two months. Can you say SCAM. I finally found a tenant on the free site that I have used in the past. It's not always the best option but at least it is free and people are actually in the area and come by to take a look at the place unlike the easyroommate website.

I am a landlord, had paid for 1 month premium membership; Sent slightly more than a hundred of emails to the profiles but only less than 10 had viewed and 0 response.
This shows that the tenant profiles are too little or inactive.
Upon 2nd week of subscription, had asked for refund but no avail.

I reactivated my ad last night to look for a flatmate and realsied my premium had expired. I renewed premium at a cost of $100 plus... my ad is not visible. I've logged in as a prospective tenant & there are only four properties shown in wellington... mine isn't one of them! I've since sent three emails with no response! The third was to ask for my subscription to be credited back to my card as my ad is not visible... no response! Whats going on?

You can set up a profile (for a housemate or flat) for free, under the guise that you will be able to chat with prospective housemates or people with rooms.
But you CAN'T without wasting money on their "premium" service.
(Almost ALL other sites don't charge for this).
It's not a premium service, it's their service, there is no free service.
I call this false advertising of the very worst kind.
Moving house is horrible, especially somewhere like London.
This site preys on our misfortune.

It's been approximately 2 months I have posted my master bedroom listing with roomgo, I can see there are many posting from people who are looking for room with big budget.
I have email & msgs to 114 people.
But initially I didn't receive any single message from any single tenant.
Roomgo suggested me to have premium pass. So, I had that also. But no response until now.
So hence proved, Roomgo is a fake website. Roomgo doing scam with people. I wasted my money (30sgd) and time here.

Requested for refund but they couldn't do it.

I'm sorry if you were unable to locate your ad on the site and we're glad we were able to sort this misunderstanding out on the phone. What happened is that whenever you edit your advert on the site it goes straight to the moderation process and that takes about an hour time maximum. While the ad is being reviewed you will not be able to locate it on the site. Your ad is live and active on the site, and we have also restarted your membership again for free to make up for the confusion and inconveniences caused.

Every time i ran out of payment i got a person interested. The price is way to high! Someone (30+ professionals would come to have a look and then never heard of them again! Not even answering their phones. Making me think they think they get commission to view rooms. And then juuuust to find a other to have emailed me also being a professional being 30+ and driving a normal car but in NEED of a room. Think its a SCAM!

The members that you have contacted are users just like you. They have created an account looking for a room to stay in. They are no way connected with us in any matter except they have created an account on our website.
The people who visited your room might prefer to check multiple rooms first before committing to one or they might have been interested after viewing this room.
Also, I would like to add that as part of our satisfaction guarantee policy we offer a free extension for plans up to 30 days. All you need to do is contact us after your membership expires and we will be glad to activate it for you.
I would like to ensure you that our website is not a scam and if you need assistance do not hesitate to contact the customer support team and I am sure they will assist you.
This site allows users to use a default profile "Hi my name is zxyz. I have a budget of $abc dollars per week. Other sites I use give me much more information. I don't want to contact people who are in no way suitable for our home. I contacted easyroomate and they were hostile. They say "We can't make people write detail". While I understand this, flatmates.com clients give much more detail and this encourages me to contact more people. Obviously, flatmates.com have a way of encouraging prospective tenants to share more information. I also note my "matches" are looking for accommodation in Sydney or Melbourne. The home is in Brisbane. I don't think these matches really work given the geography of Australia.

I believe this is a scam website. The website does not work well. It keeps frozen and not easy to swip pictures. Most likely, the site is maintained by an unskillful programmer. All profiles look suspicious. Its set up to scam landlords who are hoping to find the right tenants.

Before I paid, I couldn't find out that they have very few people looking for tenants in my city, and I live in a large city. And then after I paid, I got only three or four inquiries and zero rentals, over a TWO month period, even though I have a killer location. I get more inquiries than than from Craigslist in a day, and they are free!
I got a few other inquiries, but they were all scammers. I even took the time to initiate contact to some people on the list, but no one bothered to even answer, so not sure if they are real or shill tenants.
All in all, this site is a scam.

When you create your account and post your ad, you get to see all of your matches for free without having to pay, as the site is free to use and the payment is linked to the contact options only. It's not linked to the quality or quantity of your matches, as these latter are related to your ad criteria and can only be controlled by you!
I understand your frustration at not receiving enough interests in regards to your room offer, but, our customers independently manage their accounts, the advertisers they’d like to contact and the room they want to live in.
Your matches may not check your emails right away, therefore we advise you to ring those who have provided a phone number for a quicker reply, and please be assured that none of our members are “shill tenants” or bogus, providing a reliable service is our goal and that's why we have established a system that deactivates each unavailable ad within 15 days of the last update.
We aim to satisfy the needs of our members, that's why you have been given a free month right after the expiry of your membership to help you have another chance contact the members on the site and find a suitable tenant. However, the membership does not guarantee you a tenant, it's a method that helps you get in touch with your matches but if these latter have better or cheaper offers on the site they might not get back to your offer. I got a response from a potential landlord I found on Easyroommate.com and was totally scammed out of $300.00! Then the potential landlord had the audacity to try to scam me out of $400.00 more and THEN try to present me with another scam claiming they would send me $400.00 if I provided them with a $1400. 00 invoice. When I reported this to Easyroommate, there was nothing but an, "I'm sorry, but Oh well." Please, folks, beware!

I had been with Roomgo or easyroommates.com for 5 years. I only got one decent response in 5 years. Most of the profiles I approached never got response back. I doubt these profiles are genuine or fake. Just waste a tremendous time and money to be the premium member without result.
I get more responses and inquiries from Craigslist. Don't bother with Roomgo anymore.

They have no rooms for rent in an American city with 3.5 million people. So I searched the entire west coast of the country and they only have a handful of rooms for rent in the western United States. I have never seen such a blatant rip off in my life.
EasyRoommates reply said it may be my filters that were causinflg the problem and that they are a legitimate site, but I removed all filters and moved the rent amount I'm willing to pay to the maximum and still no matches in a city of 3.5 million people. EasyRoommates said it's an option to pay for the premium services and while that may be true it also looks like the premium service will give you access to matches you can't see without it. Don't go to the site if you live in the U.S., I don't know about Europe.

Teases you worse than a woman on her reds.
Room go allows you to post a room but you cannot contact anyone without "upgrading to premium" for £17.99 a month and on top of that they don't guarantee you anything. I have been using GUMTREE instead (FOR FREE) and it has worked wonders. I bet they reply with some nonesence and say they are sorry (they're not) and happy to help but they aren't going to help at all... unless you go premium lol.
If out of 10 people someone helps 2 but but scams 8 are they a scammer? The answer is yes Roomgo to many bad reviews to deny it.

Many years ago (2005) this was a legit place to find fantastic roommates from all over Europe and Asia and Africa.
As time went on, the founders beefed up the site with fake listings and sold out, or just changed the name to bilk every last dollar they could. Because this site is FULL of SCAMMERS! When you have an issue, there is no customer service just watered down apologies that you aren't happy but they are the largest roommate site in the world. Blah blah blah... in otherwords, save your money and your time. This site makes Craisgslist look legit! Also, membership rates doubled since the name change. So more money more SCAMMERS. I won't give them another dime since Roomgo came in to play!

I became a member for 4 HOURS, everything was fine until I had to pay $24.90 for a 30 day Premium Membership in order to contact members or you will not be able to connect with other members. Once you pay there is just a few people to contact. When I wanted to log in last night RIGHT AFTER I PAID my account was deactivated and for NO REASON! I also sent an email with NO RESPONSE! What a waste of time when you have to find a room.

I have used Easyroommate to advertise my student houses for the last 4 years and initially it was very good but last year prices increased by a factor of 3 and the number of potential tenants responding to the ads has decreased.
This last year their management of my ads has been terrible. I recently removed a copy of a floor plan from one property and got an email back telling me my changes "had not made the grade". So deleting an out of date floor plan is not acceptable to them? They also deleted an existing floor plan from the same ad.
After not receiving a reply to my email I had to telephone them and was told it was an error and would not happen again.
Guess what happened yesterday when another change was made with another floor plan. Yes - they did the same again and again had to telephone. When asked to speak to whoever was in charge was informed they do not take incoming calls but would ring me back.
Now 7-00 pm (9.5 hours later and still no callback)
Consider carefully if using to advertise your property with increasing costs, dwindling responses to adverts and poor account management who don't want to discuss issues.

BEWARE, I was about to place an advert for a double room on the site, before completion i checked for complaints about the company on the web, as no indication of price or what is required could be found during the application.
I found 1 site had good reviews, i then found another with many complaints about the site and the company.
In the company t&c's that you must agree with, you must give authority for the site to retain and use world wide any info placed on the site, it is also clear that the site will not work unless more money is paid!
