Scent Matchers

I ordered an old favorite scent "Annie" from the Body Shop. It has been unavailable for years and is an unusual fragrance - kind of woodsy and soapy. After I ordered I read all the terrible reviews and was very apprehensive, especially when I realized the item was charged to my credit card so fast. I immediately emailed some questions and was surprised by the quick and polite response. (I have to admit MY email was not exactly nice!) I just received my order a week earlier than promised, and I like it. While it is not an exact match, it is very close. I'm especially surprised because I did not provide a sample or even a basic description of the scent. It is a long lasting cologne, and I have received many compliments on it. Jennifer in customer service was very helpful thoughout the ordering process. My only complaint was the box it was shipped in - just a generic USPS box which arrived broken and open. Luckily it was stuffed with styrofoam peanuts so the pretty bottle was undamaged. Overall a good product with good customer service.

I had been searching for my wifes discontinued perfume for a while. I came across ScentMatchers and found her perfume! When I had a minor problem with my order, ScentMasters responded IMMEDIATELY to resolve my issue. (And I do mean IMMEDIATELY!)
When she opened her perfume and sprayed some on, her face just lit up!

In late December 2017 I ordered the fragrance Programme Homme by Lancôme from ScentMatchers. In Late January I received my order, but unfortunately I was not pleased with the cologne. I contacted them to find out how I could return the order. I was immediately offered a refund and told to keep the the bottles, however if I was willing, they would like to try again. I agreed and mentioned that when they discontinued Programme Homme they released another cologne called Miracle that was very similar. When I received the replacement, I was very pleased.
As I do not have the original to do a side by side comparison, I can not say it is 100% the same. But having realistic expectations, I can say it is close enough to fulfill my desire for a scent from my past.
Customer service from ScentMatchers is second to none. Every communication I had with them was responded to within 24 hours, and I always felt they were genuinely concerned about my satisfaction.
I would highly recommend doing business with this company to anyone.

UPDATE: Well, after wearing this for many months I find that it does not last as long as the original and is still missing something. However, I managed to find an old bottle of the original Opium in my closet and mixed some with this scent to make my original last longer. This worked really well. I still think this smells better than the new, not improved Opium by YSL. I wish the IFRA would keep their big, fat noses out of the formulations!

Original Review: Ever since YSL changed its formulations due to IFRA regs. I have been searching for a replacement for YSL's original formula Opium. I finally found this with ScentMatchers. It is not quite as heavy as the original Opium but the scent profile is spot on. The scent lingered for many hours and did not change during the course of wear. It is so close that I am ordering more bottles to give to friends. I am extremely happy. The new Opium be damned, I'll take ScentMatchers formulation any day. Also, the price structure is fantastic. First, I emailed the company after I received my first order about an issue I had. I never heard from them. I decided to give them another shot a few years later and when I ordered, I included a request for some information. The same thing I asked for a few years before. I never got a reply, but sure enough they started on the order so I know they received it. I received a notification that my order had been shipped on a Saturday (remember you pay for 2 day shipping) and on Wednesday I sent ANOTHER (3rd) email with about 5 items on it at this point and I finally received a reply indicating some unsatisfactory replies to my now old initial questions and an excuse regarding the shipping problem. I never received my order until that Friday - a clear 6 days after being told the item shipped. I sent a 4th email asking for a refund of the 10 dollar shipping charge since it was not 2 day shipping that I had paid for... Guess what... No reply.
Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, shame on me. I won't ever order from ScentMatchers again. Heyward and even StuntDouble have equivalent offerings, RESPOND to customers, deliver on time and treat repeat customers as valuable assets when it comes to promoting their brand.

I sent these people $66 for a scent which is discontinued. They promised it in 2-3 weeks. When I didn't receive it, I emailed them with no response. Then I reversed the charge on my credit card. Then it arrived and did not smell at all like what I ordered. I emailed asking what address to send it back. They told me I had reversed the charges and wouldn't give me the return address until I recharged it. So I did. Then they gave me an address in Cadillac, MI. I sent it there insured. Scentmatchers stated they never got it. I went to the P. O. and found out that it was undeliverable in Cadillac and was sent on to Reed city. These people ignore emails with complaints. I mailed them a detailed account with all emails and correspondence of all dates and transactions. Well, Jennifer emails me back that it was past the 30 days for returns and that I should take it up with my credit card company. Trouble is, I closed the investigation and agreed to not reopen it when I reversed the charges with the credit card. I argued that it was past the 30 days due to the fact that they wouldn't give me a return address for 34 days! This company is a true rip-off. I don't think there is anyone satisfied and I believe they are just repackaging their product and sending it out again to new customers. They don't care how much they hurt people or waste the little bit of perfume that that person may have left.

Your version of Yardley of London's "BLACK LABEL" is a raving success! It is superior to the Yardley product. Much more powerful... so I just administer a few "Puffs" onto whatever shirt I am going to wear the next day because it needs time for the scent to settle down a bit, ha ha. I still smell it on a shirt I wore Saturday that I put on again today :) WOW!

Yardley's product smelled great but the scent didn't last very long. This stuff you sent me is powerful... the likes of Opium! A little bit goes a long way I'll tell ya! I wouldn't dare spray this on my hands and put it all over my face like I used to do with the original Black Label.
I could use an after shave version of it, but how much would it cost?

Well, thanks for a job well done and I also liked the packaging. Most of all the personal touch with the bags and picture of you folks inside:)
I put your picture in my medicine cabinet next to your cologne.
