I'd give 0 stars if I could!
8– 15–22 I started my claim, scheduled GE to come take a look at my oven. 5 days prior to the scheduled appointment I had something come up and had to reschedule, that was a huge mistake! Using their website to reschedule I thought everything was taken care of, instead I got an email from Select, saying my claim would be closed if they didn't hear from me in 2 days. I called them immediately, told them what happened and I needed it rescheduled. I had planned my entire week around the reschedule date which was September 1, I asked if they could get me an appointment on that day, they said sure no problem I will call you back. No call back. 2 days later I called them. They told me the appointment was now scheduled for the September 2. I told them I would not be available September 2. I needed it September 1 which is what I scheduled on their app. They told me they would get it taken care of and call me back. 2 days later no call back. I called yet again, they escalated me up to the customer loyalty department. That person said they would handle it and call me right back. NO CALL BACK! Monday 8-29-22 while on a biz trip I got a call that the GE rep was at my house. I immediately called Select, they said it'd be handled and call me back, 2 days later still no call back. So of course I called back again. We are now at August 30. Again I spoke to the customer loyalty department, Sharon promised she would call me back and get this taken care of. She may not be able to get it scheduled in September 1 because we were closed that day, but she would get it scheduled and call me back. 2 days later (today), no call back. Again I called them. Asked to be transferred to the customer loyalty department. 35 minutes later, after being put on hold promised that they would get back to me being put on hold again promising me somebody would speak to me I still don't have my problem resolved. I was told today I'd get a call back from a supervisor in 3-4 hours... 3-4 HOURS!?!?! I bet they don't call me!
The customer service at this company is the worst ever. Do not, and I repeat do not hire them.

Company does not provide professional repair service.
Only six weeks into warranty and SHW has not come through with repair still waiting for scheduled repair after 3 days without a refrigerator.
I filed repair complaint company they provided a service tech from "Arctic Blast" refrigeration. This company apparently claimed the work. I have contacted the repair office for three straight days including texting them from they number they sent a confirmation to do the work. They have not returned my call for service date.
I contacted Select Home Warranty and was told I needed to wait for this company to contact me. I asked to speak to manager was told manager would call within 30 minutes. Its been three hours no call from supervisor. Called Select Home Warranty back was told they couldn't cancel work with the confirmed company but I could choose my own repair service, I PAY COST, they would reimburse! REALLY?
I contacted warranty sales person and requested refund on my warranty.
Am filing with BBB but now see that their are numerous complaints about this company and although on line they say they are BBB approved BBB says they are not!
At least with Sears home services when you call in you a service date immediately you don't have to wait 48 hours to hear from a company then wait again for them to schedule you in.
I am filing with BBB and want my money back I will go back to SEARS HOLDINGS.

Long hold times & shady practices

Do NOT use this company! I have had home warranty's with all my new homes. This company is the absolute WORST! It takes an average of 50-60 minutes to actually speak to someone, located outside of the US, then when you get them they just read off a screen & are unable to answer any questions outside of what is on their screens. They never have any of their "contractors" available so after 5 days they will allow you to get your own BUT other company has to call Select to speak with the authorization department while in the home & prior to any work being completed. I have experienced this to take upwards to one hour minimum. No plumber, electrician, etc. Is going to wait that long for approval. So they either leave or you pay & cross your fingers it will be reimbursed. On my latest clain I had a sewer line break IN THE HOME, IN THE BATHROOM! On the invoice it specifically says inside excavation with specific wording of Excavation INSIDE, also description INTERIOR sewer replacement:
-cut and remove concrete INSIDE to access drain line
When I had agent on phone to have him look at the invoice and verify it said INSIDE his response was "Ms Abeyta we hire professionals who know how to read these invoices."
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! If anyone else has had an issue like mine please report to Attorney General to file complaint and local BBB.

Description of BBB complaint: on select home warranty
Called company on 7-2-23 in 112 degree texas heat wave as the digital thermostat stop working they sent out an ac company and they said its a digital thermostat issue get a new one and to stay on this company cause they wont pay. I ordered a Lennox 15z69 thermostat from ebay for 323.01 that i installed and got working they said they would allow 150.00 this was in JULY 23 its now 10-23 and no check for 150.00 have callled 10x and sat on the hold for the 800# only to be answered by someone in INDIA you cant uinderstand and they cant understand your english there is so much chatter in the background it sounds like a damn zoo you send 575 a yer for a home warranty pay 75 for ac guy to come out then eat the 323.01 thermostat and wait for a 150.00 check sounds like bs well it is somebody needs to investigate these theives and send ******* fleas to infest their armpits desired settlement - shut down this business and bomb the remains
