“Not that bad!”

Norman B.
2/15/16

I've been using few dating sites for people in their 50+ in parallel and despite seniorpeoplemeet didn't help me to find my soulmate (unlike primetimelove.com, which did), I have had quite a few very nice conversations with the ladies using the site. I'm not a stupid kind of guy to be fooled, so I was careful in my choice. You guys who complain a lot, try to think of the dating sites like of real life: definitely not easy, expensive sometimes and lots of wrong personalities on your way. But if you're determined enough, you'll finally get lucky. Don't give up and keep positive attitude to your lifes!

“Shame on these scammers”

Phillip Y.

Don't touch it with a bargepole! Seek4Match Or any other big legit site is better and way cheaper. My review about SeniorPeopleMeet will be totally negative, although I don't usually write reviews, but now I can't keep from complaining about this scam site. What happens when you subscribe to SeniorPeopleMeet is you start meeting fake profile after fake profile. SeniorPeopleMeet website automatically bills you for a year-long membership without even asking you. Shame on them! What a scam!

Im thoroughly enjoying my online dating subscriptions. I use this site, lovebeginsat, and I use another one that a friend from my local bowling club recommended called PrimeTimeLove.com. Both sites are great and you really do meet some nice people. Im 67 but I feel half my age and now im acting it too! Great stuff

FULL OF BULL!

I was getting lot's of messages, favors and likes BEFORE I JOINED! Over 180 messages to entice me until I paid my money to try it... From there it went to 1 or 2. Why the big difference all of a sudden? I think this is a great big SCAM. They have people or ways to make you think you are getting a lot of interest until you join... After that, its a bunch of BULL! Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time or your money... I'm sorry I did. It's the second time I've been fooled by them... Never again!

First it will state join free. I expected to pay some kind of membership fee. I agreed to a one month membership for $22. A fee of. 99. Shows up on my cc. I emailed the company, I received no response but see only one. 99 fee on my statement, also I made sure not to continue my membership. The usual search and communication occurs, then after two weeks you're unable to read your messages without the upgrade packages that will expire in 3hours and 7 minutes. So on and so on. Hook, line but don't be a sinker

Horrible experience with charges to credit card that I did not initiate. There are so few users of this site and many profiles appear to be "fake". Stay away from site and try elsewhere. Finally, there are sooooo many ads it's dizzying.

After a month I found that most of the men are just trolling for sex partners. When I cancelled my auto renewal and I still had another month to go on my membership the site refused to allow me to upload any pictures and when I try to chat with someone who is "on line" I am not permitted to do so even tho I am paid up. If I reinstate my auto renewal I can do all of that stuff. I am so done with this site.

I have been on the site for 3 years. In November I stopped getting email notices for new messages. I have tried to get help but no one will help. I've tried 3 different email providers and 3 different browsers and still am not getting email notices like I did for the first 3 years. Tech support says it is my problem not theirs.

Very Unhappy with the Site overall, there is nowhere to ask a question. I have encountered at least 6 unscrupulous men from probably Nigeria. Be Aware, many of the men on there are looking to take you to the cleaners. I am sure there are some real people on the site, because I was on there and I am real. It became a job just trying to figure out who was real and who was not. Watch the wording in the messages, If you think no one ever talks that way... You are right.

Single Dating site ever.
They cram too much on a page. There's too many popups and ads everywhere for cars, upcoming sports events, etc. For a Single Site geared for seniors, you feel like you are back in High School. Tokens? Someone's Favorite? The whole thing screams scam. There's no contact phone #.

I've been hit on by so called matches half my age.
Right!

I joined this site to try and meet someone but all I got was less than nothing. They would not accept any of my answers to fill out my profile. They said that what I wrote was unacceptable. Then when I would try to respond to what they sent me as a possible match I never got any replies to my first contact messages. I am not even sure that anybody got my mails at all. They sent me word that this person flirted with me but when I called up that persons file I got blank pages. Or they said that a person sent me a message, again a blank page. I had asked for women close to where I lived, but was getting photos of women from Texas to Maine. One from England. I quit looking at all of these sites they are all a bunch of scammers!

I have been on this site off and on for approx. 9 months. The biggest issue I have is that flirts are sent without my knowledge as well as I have received flirts without that persons knowledge. There are definitely scammers on the site, but I feel that it is up to the subscriber to always proceed with caution, carefully read the profiles and if there is any doubt, to report it. Better to be safe than sorry. I have met and dated some truly great men from this site and have not had a bad experience with any

Granted I have only been on the site for about a year. But I have met a few women and it all seemed quite OK to me. I agree with a few of the other reviews, often I will contact someone who sent me a "flirt" or said they were interested only to find out that they had not written me, But to be honest I don't think that is a bug I think it is a feature. People look at your profile and you know. I respond I would say 90% of the time I don't get answers. But I don't think it is the sites fault.

False/phony messages and flirts. False profiles. Not local. I received messages and when I checked them the profile was no longer available. Also women not within 25 miles of my location. Matches were fron out of state/province.

Terrible site - I have 213 messages and not a single one has written a unique message. All the messages are the prewritten ones you can select. Sounds like a computer malfunction. I can't get my money back

By nature cautious I thought this IDEA of a senior dating site was too good to be true. I took a chance, the cost of one month after wasn't outrageous. But then the good folks in Texas define a month as 26 days! What? Must be a Texas way of counting... Another 72 hours to have a picture "approved" -- now I'm down to 23 days, then my comments keep going missing like I don't know how to "S-A-V-E" -- by the time my profile is on the site, another three of four days have gone by, now down to 19 days for my base cost for one month --plus never explained instatement fees bringing the total to about $31? Like others have mentioned, I got the feeling the good matches out there were bogus. Call it intuition, but it was th first thing that came to mind. Never again!

All sites mentioned above. All I ever met were men that wanted my phone number and email address. When I said I won't do that, just continue to communicate through the website... never heard from them again. HEADS UP LADIES! They almost always say they are a widower. And they like to say they are god fearing and like to pray, blah blah blah

Tip for consumers:
Don't go there!!!!

All the men seemed only interested in how I looked, not who I was. The site mated me with smokers non religious men, men out of state and I had requested NOT to have that done. I have cancelled the next month billing. I hope this is done. I am trying to have my profile removed, but am not having any luck in contacting customer service, if this even exist? I am very unhappy with this site and how they handled their billing and how they handle introducing people to one another! It seems hit and miss!

SeniorPeopleMeet.com is tied to the OurTime website. I tried SeniorPeople early this year. Sent several messages out to ladies I was interested in - little (aka one) response and few messages from females (could have been my fault).
So, I cancelled my account.
Suddenly, I was flooded with "flirts" and "likes" and "messages" from dozens of women. I was skeptical. But when my inbox reached 140 messages from various women, I decided to activate my account, again. I responded to nearly all the women who had contacted me. And you know what? Not one return response. Not only that - but "flirts" and "messages" that had been coming at 10 per day, when I was not paying for service - became 0 per day after I renewed membership.
There is only one conclusion here, folks. A significant number of profiles are fake and contacts coming from employees at SeniorPeopleMeet.com.
Do not waste your time on either SinglePeopleMeet nor OurTime.

I am so happy I did not become a paying member. The site showed that I viewed hundreds of profiles that I did not. I was originally a member of Our Time and received so many automated flirts. I decided to try Senior People Meet for free. The same men are on there, and the same men started contacting me. I just deleted my profile.

Lots of folks have commented on how SPM quickly charges you for a 6 month membership so I won't belabor that point other than to same it's true. My other complaint is that the system is set up to make the illusion of interest that is far greater than actual. Every time you log on, there is a "Who Do You Like?" panel. The 2 women in the panel are then notified that you viewed them. I thought I was getting all sorts of views and reached to some of them and almost never got a reply... because there wasn't ever any interest. So looking at who has viewed you is mostly a waste of time.

Read the reviews on this site before giving away one dollar. Once you give that dollar, You'll have that sinking "this is a scam" feeling. And you know you know bettet. You'll soon discover that "match" person doesn't exist
Just someone at a computer typing out those come along lines flirting with you. These reviews here are correct. D9n' go or spend one dollar.

I have been here since May 2014. I met one real person from a town near me. I have been approached by others, many from far away states. My profile states that I don't do long distance and that I stay away from scam/fraud (catfishing). Many guys try to get me out of the site to send me their pictures to my cellphone, which I don't provide. I asked them to use Skype because I want to see their real faces. I don't hear from them again. I had a bad experience at match and I was there for one month. I did not loose any money, just trust and empathy for others. I have been reading a lot about romance scams/fraud. I am a 53 yo female and I know that I am a target. I am not going to be a victim. My credit card will be cancel before the renewal date.

This site is a joke. The chance of actually getting a date are not good. Even if you exchange emails and you think everything is going well all of a sudden you stop getting replys and you wonder what it is you did wrong. Also in some of the profiles the women set standards that very very few people[men] can meet. Lets face it this is a senior people dating site and if I was making 100,000 dollars+ I wouldn, t be looking at you. I mean that your not exactly Queen of the May anymore, if you ever were.In conclusion stay away and avoid this site like the plague. Capt. Steve

I was matched up to a gentleman who seemed like a dream come true. Nice picture, nice profile, and we chatted the entire weekend. He wanted my cell phone number and I did not give it out and explained why. Anyways, I had dropped my subscription and a couple of days later is when I got this very nice match in my area. On the 3rd day his profile was gone. Poof! I am starting to think I was duped into renewing because I obviously renewed so I could communicate with this nice man. Anyone else out there been scammed like that? I am really thinking I was set up, although I could call that number, I don't think I should.

I paid $80.00 for profiles that have not been on for years! You guys are Scammers! And I hope you enjoy the money you take from real people that have worked hard to make sure you people have a great life while we are paying you for nothing! I hope someday I can find a real web site that is really the real deal!
