I've been using few dating sites for people in their 50+ in parallel and despite seniorpeoplemeet didn't help me to find my soulmate (unlike primetimelove.com, which did), I have had quite a few very nice conversations with the ladies using the site. I'm not a stupid kind of guy to be fooled, so I was careful in my choice. You guys who complain a lot, try to think of the dating sites like of real life: definitely not easy, expensive sometimes and lots of wrong personalities on your way. But if you're determined enough, you'll finally get lucky. Don't give up and keep positive attitude to your lifes!
Don't touch it with a bargepole! Seek4Match Or any other big legit site is better and way cheaper. My review about SeniorPeopleMeet will be totally negative, although I don't usually write reviews, but now I can't keep from complaining about this scam site. What happens when you subscribe to SeniorPeopleMeet is you start meeting fake profile after fake profile. SeniorPeopleMeet website automatically bills you for a year-long membership without even asking you. Shame on them! What a scam!
There are only so many articles you can read in the newspapers about dating sites for the over 50s before you end up trying them out. As a widow without children, I try to stay busy but the main thing I lack is strong friendships, particularly with the opposite sex, and of course Id welcome a touch of romance if it was to come my way. I joined this site as well as one called PrimeTimeLove.com and ive been using them both quite frequently indeed. Ive already met a few gentlemen around my age and im set to have my first in person meeting on Tuesday. Im going for high tea, which sounds very posh indeed and right up my street! Ive struggled at times with the sites but nothing that I wasnt able to figure out myself. Plus, the fact that ive been talking with people and planning to meet one soon goes to show that im managing the sites pretty well I think. They do cost money (both), which surprised me a little, but the amount is not a lot and you pay monthly, not weekly or daily. Its still early days but im enjoying being an online dater and expect ill be using these services for some time to come, hopefully making some new friends in the process. Give it a go!
As a young at heart 50 something I've been giving this online dating stuff a whirl to see if it can help me solve a few of my problems with finding things to do. The older you get, the less there seems to be going on, if you are unlucky enough to be a singleton like me! I run my own small business so meeting someone at work has never really been an option. I'm not particularly wealthy but have some disposable income and yes, I admit it would be nice to have someone to spend it with; holidays, theatre trips, etc. Im a member of the wine club but no eligible singles there im afraid. So I tried SeniorPeopleMeet and it really gave me an insight into online dating. I built up confidence on the site and altough I didnt meet anyone in my area, I think its worth trying if you are over fifty and serious about meeting someone for a long term relationship (friendship or more). The experience on the site led me to PrimeTimeLove.com, which has really made a big impact on my life. I've had dates (from dinner to table tennis!) and met some lovely people through the site. I definitely get the feeling I could become one of their success stories in time... here is hoping.
"Welcome Back to SeniorPeopleMeet.com
Let someone get to know you! Answer the questions to provide a little more information about yourself." Why in hell's name do I keep getting this when I log on. I attempted to do some editing on the above question, which didn't take. I repeated the process several times, none of which showed up. By now I was fed up, so I decided to delete those paragraphs and start from scratch, but later, as I needed a break from the site's moroni algorithms. I had a copy of my 'blurb' and a day or so later, managed to edit it the way I had meant it to be... and now I am being harassed with the above pop up plus additional popups asking me to resubscribe, even though I still have three months showing on my account balance. What a cheesy site this is! I could add more such as why am I getting 48 year old match offerings when my search options distinctly ask for women between ages 62 and 71? And why cannot the message screen be a normal size instead of that as a postage stamp?
This site is everything it promised to be. I get daily matches from the geographic region I specified, and the ages I requested. J I would recommend them to anyone

Joined at one month. They charged for 3. Cannot log on. They do not respond to email and they do not have a customer service number. Not acceptable! I am canceling charge with my bank now.
Stay away of this site. They will charge your visa but will not give you access to the site, claiming they did not receive your payment. Terrible experience! Don't waste your money.
I am not going to waste much of my time explaining how horrible this website is. It is completely unstable, unreliable and everytime I go online my virus scanner tells me to exit this site immediately. I have had many scammers trying to get my info. It is NOT SAFE. DO NOT BECOME A MEMBER. THEY ARE SCAMMERS. I am reporting them to the BBB to hopefully have their site removed.! RIP OFF and SCAMMERS and UNRELIABLE... and LIARS. I signed up for one month and they charged me for 3.
If you get an email and want to read it or even just see who its from, a pop up comes up and the first and cheapest option is 6 months $12.99. PLEASE NOTE: IT DOES NOT SAY 6 MONTHS $12.99 A MONTH! You therefore think it is costing you $12.99 to join for six months.
Not only that, but all of the men who contacted me within the hour I was at the site, either couldn't write without sounding like they were speaking broken English or without sounding like they were a pervert.
They are affiliated with Match.com
They took my entire profile on match.com and set it up on seniorpeoplemeet.com... and charged my card for three months!
Stay away!
THIS SIGHT IS A RIP OFF. WHILE I WAS A MEMBER, I RECEIVED FALSE MESSAGES FROM MEN WHO WERE NOT ACTIVE MEMBERS. WHEN I RESPONDED TO THE MESSAGES, I WOULD GET A MESSAGE STATING THE MEMBER WAS NO LONGER ACTIVE. THIS SIGHT SEND FALSE MESSAGES, FALSE FLIRTS. I FEEL THE SIGHT SEND FALSE MESSAGES TO MAKE YOU BELIEVE SOMEONE IS INTERESTED IN YOU. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS SIGHT.
Tip for consumers:
THIS SIGHT IS A FALSE REPRESENTATON FOR A DATING SIGHT. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS SIGHT.
Donna Finch is going to get your money! Don't contact her, I'm warning you! She is sexy and her body is a 10, but everything is about money money and money.
Been on here for 4 months and nothing but scammers. If there are good men, which I am sure there are, women are so suspicious and ask questiobsvto avoid scams and scare good ones away. Very sad.
I JOINED ON THE 15TH, THEY WERE HAVING A SPECIAL FOR $15.00. THEY HIT MY CREDIT CARD FOR OVER $30 AND THEN AGAIN FOR $22.00. OVER THE WEEKEND I HAD A FEELING THEY WERE DISHONEST AND CALLED MY CREDIT CARD CO, WHICH IS HOW I FOUND OUT. FILED A COMPLAINT AND BLOCKED THEM FROM PUTTING ANYTHING ELSE ON MY CARD. OH YES, PEOPLE ON THERE ARE OUT AND OUT LIARS, FAKE PROFILES, REALLY NASTY PEOPLE. STAY AWAY
Had my second date this afternoon and wanted to let people know! After my first date (that was on another site called primetimelove) I remember having such a great time that I wanted to write a good review and thank the owners or company behind the site but of course I never got around to it. So today im making a point of writing about my experience so others can see that yes, online dating does work for us silver surfers just as much as it does for the kids!
I met George today at the Balmoral for high tea. We talked a lot, he is divorced with three children and id already seen photos of him with them on his profile. Theyre all grown now and he was telling me more about what they do with their lives and how he sees them less and less. I spoke about my ex a little bit, how he ran off with his secretary (long story) and in person was able to open up to him in a way that I hadnt done over messages. We really had a nice time together and have agreed to meet again on Wednesday for dinner (I guess that means we are getting more serious!) I must say im feeling half my age and cant quite comprehend how different the world is from what I was dating as a teenager, to what its like now. But I think its better now as people have so many ways to meet, as my experience online dating has shown. Im looking forward to seeing George again and hope that others enjoy these sites as much as I do. They really arent just for youngsters you know! If you have any doubts, give it a try!
This website is absolutely TERRIBLE! They are associated with many other dating sites, like Match, Our time, Love & Seek, Marriage Minded People, etc etc. They are all connected and your profile goes up on all of them once you do a cash signup. But, you have to PAY EACH SITE if you want to be active on each of them. But there's no way to opt out of having your profile plastered all over the companies they do business under. They claim to have an opt out button, but each time you come back to the site and check your account, it's been changed back to opt in! I only wasted 20 bucks and pulled my profile off, never again! For any of them! POF might get a lot of bad reviews, but it's free and you can actually message someone and receive a message back and it costs you nothing. Sure, it's filled with scammers, but listen now: THEY ALL ARE. Do NOT waste your money on any of the dating sites owned by People Media.

I did a keyword search and there were many profiles with exactly the same wording. This is the worst site I've ever visited. AVOID.
I got robbed also. The site said 11.95 for a month and then charged me 80.00. "we have a strict no refund policy"
Do not join. They are affiliated with Match. Com. You will have to change your charge card to get off.
This company, People Media out of Texas is nothing more than a fraudulant bunch if lying thieves. They have "representatives" bombard you with flirts to get you to upgrade to a more expensive plan, then as soon as you do you dont get so much as a hello. And if you lodge a complaint they remove your photo, accussing you of attaching your contact information, knowing full well that no such thing happend. No photo, no contact. THEY ARE THIEVES THROUGH AND THROUGH
This review covers both SeniorPeopleMeet and OurTime, which as I understand it share the same database of users.
My biggest complaint isn't with the service, it's with he low quality of the profiles. I'd like to learn something about a woman before I invest time in getting to know her better. I'd like to focus on women that have interests and viewpoints that overlap mine. I'd like to weed out women that are obviously not compatible. Sadly, the profiles reveal almost nothing of the women. Profile after profile says the same thing: "I like to laugh, I like the outdoors..." Even the easy click-on-an-answer questions are often not answered. Consequently, I have proactively contacted very few women because I know virtually nothing significant about any of them.
Conversely, if you think of a profile as just an icebreaker and you just want to meet lots of women regardless of what they are like, then you probably don't care about this.
As for the site itself, it has at least two ways to get you to interact. The main screen will show two women and you can click on which one you like best, based only on a photo. Second, a link to "Today's Matches" will show you a list and you can click Yes or No.
In either case, a positive click will generate a flirt message to that person, a canned sentence from maybe a dozen or so pre-written sentences. When I first signed up I was getting a lot of these canned flirt messages. I thought it odd that none of these women were writing anything themselves. Then I realized that most or all of them are just clicking on my picture and don't even know they're sending a canned message to me.
On a positive note, the few women I have met have been pleasant and I've enjoyed meeting them.
Another company that pays spammers to send their unwanted e-mails to millions. I am sick of it in my mail box, having never asked for info
I chose a payment option of 7.00 and ended up being charged 33.00 and there is no way out of it. All customers beware of this rip off company.
Old skaggy women. No way to prefer anything. I'd like to meet a mature Asian lady, but there's no race choice. Worst dating site ever.
I pay, they say a woman has responded, they now don't recognize me as a member and want money again in order to message back to the woman.
I used to have my profile on major senior dating sites: PrimeTimeLove, SeniorPeopleMeet and OurTime, but the site I met my partner at was PrimeTimeLove.
But SeniorPeopleMeet seemed to be ok for me.
