Returning shoes turned out to be an ordeal, requiring HOURS on hold. It was very frustrating. Now, when I click unsubscribe, I get an error message every time. So I keep getting their ads in my email. I will never use this site again
After 14 emails, the customer service for this company is beyond bad. Their personnel either can not read or does not have a grasp of the English language. They kept asking me the same questions, to which I had replied in prior emails. Their only solution to sending me the wrong size, color shoe and an accessory that was used (it was nasty and had obvious signs of being worn and broken) was to offer me a 5% credit. At this point I rather not take their lousy 5% and instead find any site i can post a complain about this company. They can keep their 5%!
I used to get great discounts and could find any shoes I needed. Now, and maybe it's since Walmart sold their stake in the company, I can't get a good price or good selection. Example: there are three men's styles of Timberland shoes/boots as I write this review. They used to have 20+.
This is the second time I have ordered something from here because the price made the shoes a great deal and then my order was canceled from them the next day. I will never order from here again. Do not support businesses that lie about their inventory or draw customers in with deals that they are not going to fulfill.
Very poor customer support, like they make fun of you. For real, you can explain the same things 4 times until they start to perceive that information. And, eventually, you get mismatched shoes. I don't want to discuss the returning process; it's too painful to recall.
I purchased a pair of boots and they came with the zipper broken. I tried to print a return label and site said to write to customer service that return labels was "not working". After multiple emails requests for a return label, they finally sent one. I ordered another pair of boots. When we got them they didn't fit. I wanted to return them for a different style. After 10 days and multiple requests for a return mailing label... no reply. I can't return the boots w/o a return label. There is no alternative but to keep boots that we can't wear. They do not honor
Published customer return policy and (although I'm sure they don't care) i will drop them as a vendor.
I wouldn't trust them again
There was a discoint for a shoes manufactured in 2018, I did purchase them and in less than a month with normal usage, they damaged. Skethcre customer care said: we garantee shoes manufactured in six months only. This is not what the salesman told me in teh purchasing time.
First attempt to contact them, I was put on hold for 72 minutes. Second attempt I emailed them. I did not get a response. On my third attempt, I emailed them again. Finally got a reply and they told me I had the wrong order number. (FIY: order number was correct). Finally, after 4 days of frustration I received a UPS return label. The return label printed the entire 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper. They can't even email the proper size label for UPS. Really? Now they will deduct $8.95 return fee. I will never purchase from them again. ZAPPOS is the only way to go. With Zappos you can print a return label instantly and there are no restocking fees or shipping charges. As soon as UPS scans the return label, the Zappos refund process begins. So sorry I wasted my time on Shoes.com. Beware!
This review is for Shoes.Com
I saw a kind of shoe that I love but it showed size 11N. I was able to scroll down the sizes & find my size (8.5 M); I clicked & placed the order. I got a confirm for size 11N. I IMMEDIATELY sent a cancellation & I also emailed customer care. I saw a phone number but it was only M-F (this was a Sunday). I called Monday morning & heard the message, in so many words: "we're way too busy too busy to answer the phone; send an email" which I did again. On Tuesday I got a response that they would look into coancelling my order. On Wed., 3 days after I sent a cancellation, I got a notice that the shoes (the wrong size 11N) had shipped. Fortunately I was able to refuse delivery & of course AXP was notified & refunded my money. Oh and once you're on Shoes.com mailing list you can't unsubscribe. Beware!
Do not order from shoes.com! If you have a return they have no intentions on refunding you & will not issue you a credit or return on your credit card unless you contact the BBB. They do not answer their so called "customer service" phone number (you get a recording) & they do not return emails. I've been trying for over 2 months to get a credit for a return & they will not respond. I wish I had purchased from Zappos in the beginning, even if the price was a little higher, it would've saved me a lot of headaches trying to get a credit! A 1-star rating is even too high for this company & my experience dealing with shoes.com.
This website is already terrible. I tried to buy some Clark's Bushacre 3 shoes and they canceled my order. They not only did this to me, but hundreds of other people as well.
Now they have my card information, personal info, home address, and email. I have already gotten 6 emails on 1 day. UNACCEPTABLE. DO NOT SHOP HERE.
This company rips people off.
A small two inch damage to a shoe box makes customers ineligible for a refund! I Lost $65 to $70 because of miniscule scratch that they claim the merchandise could not be resold. They need to take their business model guidance from Amazon! Pathetic company nearly insolvent and ripping people off to make up the difference.!
I am disputing their claim that the shoes have been worn/used. I only tested them indoors long enough to realize they hurt my feet. When buying in a store, you get to try them on; what does ShoeBuy expect buyers to do? Not try them on? I hardly think the Vionic plaque on the bottom would remain shiny if they had been worn.
With all the other choices out there, why use a company that won't back their products?
I would stay away from ordering shoes from this website strictly because of their return policy. Not only do they give you just 14 days to return your purchase for a full refund vs. a store credit you'll only have 5 days to ship the product back once you receive the return authorization number (which I applied for only two days after receiving my boots). It cost me $24 to ship the boots back. I'll stick with Zappos thank you.
This company is the biggest scam I've ever seen. I ordered a pair of shoes, and immediately got an email confirmation for the wrong size. I then turned around and emailed customer service immediately asking that they correct the error. I received an email back the next day from "Jenna" in customer service that stated she would be checking with the vendor to correct that and getting back with me. Fast forward a week later, with no communication, I receive a shipping confirmation for the wrong size. I reached out again via email (their phone lines are not working right now), and never heard back. Once I got the shoes in (3 sizes too small) I once again reached out that they needed to correct this, as I would not be repaying a stocking fee. The online email I got back was a generic "return your shoes here," with no other help as to getting the CORRECT size. I have since processed the return, and emailed, Facebook messaged, called, and have had ZERO commutation back. I will be calling my bank tomorrow. This company is a scam, and I have no clue how they are still in business.
SHOES.COM has the most unjust, worst customer service you could possibly receive. Buyer beware! If you buy from them and the shoes don't fit, they charge a restocking fee unless you buy another pair. So I did buy another pair, sent the first pair back, and they have refused to give me my money back! My son wore them for less than an hour to see if they would work and they were too tight. So they say they are "worn". WORST COMPANY EVER! I'm making this public so share it, folks. They are awful!
It's good bye to Shoebuy - $6.95 restocking fee one each pair of shoes when they are returned! No where on their website is that mentioned until you place your return - false advertising by omission! Bye, bye...
We would like to thank this customer for shopping with us and we appreciate her feedback about the return policy. Back on July 16th, 2015 our site was updated to show the new policy to make sure customers would know in advance. Our homepage says “free shipping + free exchanges” and the entire policy is listed under the Returns section of our Help page. The new policy went into effect on August 1,2015, and all purchases made on August 1,2015 or after are subject to our new return policy. Our policy enables our customers to choose from any items in our inventory until we find an item they’ll love – more than a million items – whether that’s a different shoe or perhaps a bag or coat. In the event they prefer not to exchange for a new item, there is a restocking fee.
We understand that this customer is disappointed with our policy, and we do sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Should she opt to exchange, we’re happy to help her find new styles or items to try.
I have spoken with customer service multiple times about regarding a refund after nearly 3 weeks without resolve. I've learned my lesson here. A good price doesn't stack up if the return policy has no integrity. May pay a little more from Zappos, but they're true to their word on returns or exchanges. Lesson learned.
Zero in the way of customer service. Have been on hold many times for longer than 20 mins (then just hung up) about a problem. They are NOT Zappos, but a cheap imitation.
Probably don't have enough employees.
Hi Ann - We are always working to improve our customer experience, and we thank you for this valuable feedback. We'd like to touch base with you about your experience and make things right. Could you please send an email to socialsupport@shoebuy.com with your order number? Thank you.
What a duplicitous company to advertise "free shipping and exchanges" only to charge a restocking fee upon return! They can explain it all away as much as they'd like, but I, for one, will use Amazon, Zappos, or any other of the reputable companies who make good customer service a priority rather than trying to eke out an extra $6.95 for each purchase. P.S. "Darren I", the customer service rep, answers everyone's complaints with the same "cut and paste" response. This should give you some idea of the kind of company Shoebuy is!

Answer: Apparently they do not care. Not a real good omen for staying in business very long.
Answer: Stay away! I tried to make an exchange, and they charged me for the new shoes and then claimed that returned shoes were worn and damaged and wouldn't give me my money back. I wore them long enough to try them on and even then the shoes were so small and stiff that I couldn't get my feet into them! I asked the customer service "manager" (the 4th "manager" I spoke to) if we are allowed to try on the shoes and shes said "yes of course" to which I said then why do you consider what I did wearing them? She didn't have an answer. This is a scam to sell off damaged or defective merchandise. Stay away.
