I see the bad reviews and I take note. I have had nothing but good experience with the store. I called to check my fit, I knew the dress and shirt that I wanted. My salesperson was knowledgeable and steered me in the right direction. I got just what I ordered, but I understood and saw the product beforehand on others. They have very inexpensive clothing and accessories for small/thin people with limited funds and what you see is exactly what you get. You need to shop and ask questions. I love my dress-I also use as a tunic, and my mother of dragons turtleneck- only available at Akria!
I Placed an order on 7/31 /2023 to be delivered by UPS. The order was lost in transit, UPS has confirmed that the order is lost, Akira has tracked the package and re-confirmed that the package is lost. Instead of immediately returning my 138.00 dollars they are demanding that I complete a form WITH A THIRD PARTY to open an investigation and wait 20 days for a resolution, they will no even consider a refund nor replacing the item until the investigation is over for an order that they can confirm is LOST. The items purchased is for a cruise vacation in 5 days. The customer is extremely rude and to date has not uttered an apology. PLEASE BEWARE WHEN ORDERING FROM THIS CO, AND JUST KNOW IF YOUR PACKAGE IS LOST THEY WILL NOT DO THE RIGHT THING BY YOU AS A CUSTOMER.
I' ve made an online purchase few weeks ago and I sent them to my hotel in Miami where I was on holidays. I went to Akira's new store in Lincoln Road because of all the things I bought online I needed to change some items for sizes or make returns. The shopper did not allow me because they let you do it just in a period of 15 days from the moment you make the online transaction. An online purchase that I could open like 1 week later since the moment the online transaction was done! Is this ok? Why the store don't apply better policies in this cases? I have to take all the things back home with me. I usually invest a lot of money in this brand. Very disappointed.
I just spent over an hour trying to complete an online order and it will not complete the order! So frustrating. Really wanted the item but at this point I have no clue if I'm being charged for the 5 times I tried to enter it nor was I given any message of what any error may be. Ugh!
82nd street Castleton. I was *******@time i purchased a corset. Next day it was too Big & saggy. Next day With my receipt, Was told no exchange or refund. First time & last time i will never shop, spend a dime there! An the clothes are not high quality, cheap materials.
The way they pay their employees should be illegal! They give you a below minimum wage base pay($10) and then give you a 4% commission and word it as, if you work x amount of hours than it's really like you're being paid $22 per hour! This is what they're paying a MANAGER! They over work you and expect you to be there 30 minutes earlier than your scheduled shift in order to be considered on time! Their handbook literally says if you show up at the exact time you are scheduled late! The way this company is ran is absolutely insane! It's no way this is legal! You can wear almost anything no matter how revealing it may be! They expect you to run all around the store filling the dressing room up while they have a crew of staff just stand there and ring all day! It's definitely not an equal opportunity kind of atmosphere! Wouldn't advise at all..
Shopakira.com is awesome... Its a womens store based in Chicago (they have a men's line now) and they have the cutest clothes at really reasonable prices and free shipping on items over $75.00 also they give you 10% off every time you shop on the site. I love going into the store so if you are visiting Chicago look up Akira... they have several locations in the city. I wish we had one here. On second thought I am glad we don't have one in Ohio I get to look cute and no one can get my peices LOL... Check them out... shopakira.com They are the BOMB!. Com
As soon as i placed my order I didn't receive a confirmation email, i called & emailed and when i did it said the same thing. Their mall box is full & too wait. Never got the dress. They took my 60 dollars.
While the store maybe great, the online shopping experience is AWEFUL. The clothing is way different and many styles are not true to size. I received a defective item. Was able to return it but they still deduct shipping. That is very poor business practices. When you ask to speak to a supervisor they can not transfer and ask to send email. Well they don't return calls. Never will I order from them again.
Honestly had one of the best shopping experiences ever when I came to this Akira recently. Triston literally was the best help I could've ever asked for. I told him exactly what I needed, and he delivered just that AND more! He seriously took his time helping me find an entire outfit for a wedding, literally left no details out. He was such a great help and made my shopping experience seriously so enjoyable. Thank you so much Triston, you seriously are incredible!
Answer: They are 100% legit. I have been buying clothes and shoes from them for years and everything I've gotten is not only beautiful but it holds up to multiple wears. They are my first place to shop whenever I wanna update my wardrobe.
