So I've used the service for about 9 months now. Been working great that whole time. And now, as of about 3-4 days ago, I haven't been able to place any orders. I reached out to their support team with their help chat, and was told "It's your bank. They must have a block on your card." I mean, my bank does protect their customers from any suspicious activity, so if something happened I wasn't aware in the last 48 hours before that order, I thought I'd call to be safe. Thanked the agent and called the bank. Turns out the bank didn't get anything from Skip The Dishes (STD for short now as they are one in my opinion as you'll see why soon.)
So forward now a couple days later, and I'm thinking maybe STD just had an issue in their services (some of the regular stores like Dairy Queen and one of the McDonalds were both missing too) and that it's better again since they're back. Tried to order again, and same error pops up. After about 20 minutes with this chat Agent names Serge K (doubt it's his real name), he eventually tells me the following (direct copy/paste from our chat):
Our system has detected unusual activities associated with your account. We will no longer be able to accept orders from your account.
Is there anything else we can assist you with?
Now, I have had an issue before where someone tried to hack my STD account and locked it with failed password attempts in the past, but I had gotten an email at that time, went through their steps, and my account was resolved and working again fine. I've received no email about anything wrong with the account like before. My cards on file have no additional charges as I check my bank multiple times a week. So nothing is off that I can tell.
When I asked him what the account is flagged for since I didn't get any emails from them about this, he just repeats his above message. When I ask what are the steps I can take to resolve this and have my account able to order food through them again, again he repeats the above message. It is quite clear that either this horrible agent, or STD itself as a company, have no steps in place to help with ANY account issues, it's just "we've detected activity, go $#*! yourself."
I'm curious how ANY business that deals with money and accounts, would state they have ZERO processes in place to help any customer out with account verification or if issues like mine arise. This has got to be the worst thing a business can do. I have supervised customer service before, phone chat and email. If this was one of my agents that said this, I would fire them immediately for gross incompetence on not being able to assist the customers with giving us money.
Update: After unsuccessfully dealing with this issue through their app and phone line, the e-mail support system was actually able to help. To their credit, STD refunded my entire order in the form of a Skip credit at first, with choice to have the order refunded to my credit card instead. This was a much more pleasant experience than the other mediums; that said, I wish this level of service was provided from the beginning.

Ordered $70 worth of food for my family for dinner yesterday at 5:45PM. At 6:30, I got a notification that the food was delivered. I didn't hear any doorbell but checked anyway, and of course, there was no food there. I checked my neighbours' porches and my security feed (which starts recording on motion), and nothing.
Hopped onto their support app, and in 25 minutes, all I got from the representative was the same question twice, after I provided the information the first time. I pressed for an update, and was disconnected/blocked. My WiFi and data were working fine, and it's now 12 hours later and I still can't get on, so I can only conclude that STD will simply block customers bringing difficult requests to their attention. Their joke of a chat service is attached with my review for all to peruse. I'm sure you're all dying to know how it ended, and I'm sorry to say, what you see is what you get. I was locked out after this exact sequence of dialogue.
I tried by phone and finally got a hold of a representative. After a few minutes of back and forth, she finally said she'd process a refund, but would have to call back later to confirm. When pressed for when, she said "today". It's now 12 hours later into the next day, and nothing. So it would once again appear that STD jumps ship at the first sign of a difficult request.
So they've taken $70 from me, and all I have to show for it is an evening of frustration, hunger, and a strong desire to move to UberEats for good and never give business to this sham of a company ever again. Avoid at all costs - tell your friends, tell your families, tell your coworkers, tell the owners and managers of your favourite restaurants. This company is not to be trusted. Restaurants working with them will inevitably face negative customer feedback as direct result of STD's incompetence and inaction - hungry, angry customers are quick to blame whoever they can. If you want to save your restaurant's image, don't work with STD.
Go with UberEats instead - the few times they've mishandled my order, they were quick to rectify the issue.
If I could rate in the negatives for their customer service support, I would. Never felt more disrespected and dismissed by a company, absolutely awful how they handle complaints of any kind. First contacted their support email on Dec. 28th of 2020 about an issue I had with the delivery bags I ordered never being shipped. It worked out since I had found another job anyway and didn't require them anymore, so I just needed a refund for the items that I had paid for and never received. A representative by the name of Kulwinder Singh responded back to my email promptly and reassured me I'd be getting a refund no problem since I had all the proof and information, etc. The 16th of January 2021 rolled around, with still no refund. Replied to that same email so all the history of of the conversation would be kept, and was responded to by someone named Hargun K. Telling me to update my vehicle information so the bags could be delivered. Not at all what my request had been, so I responded saying they should check the previous emails because all I need is a refund; I did NOT want the bags, seeing as how I did NOT want to work for that company anymore. Yet again was shifted to another representative by the name of Shahram R. Telling me the bags have now been sent (regardless of all the emails, the un-updated vehicle information, and the original promise for a refund). By this point it is now the 21st of January, and I have received no help and only been shuffled around by three different people, none of whom are actually listening to me. I expressed my extreme dissatisfaction with the service and requested a number to call or for someone I could complain more directly to seeing as how I was getting no help. No further contact information was given, and that last representative simply said it's up to me now to cancel the items in transit (despite it being their fault for shipping it against my wishes) and that a refund will only be given when the bags return to them. The entire situation is just baffling and infuriating; the worst customer service I have ever received.

I placed an order on sept 22nd and it was cancelled by the restaurant and I was told it will be refunded back on my credit card. 2 days later I chatted with their support team to inform the lost of my purse and the credit card has been cancelled. They told me I have to email the help centre they cannot do anything. One of their agent replied to my email I sent to help centre and he told me the refund has been sent and to wait 3-5 business days. I contacted my bank and they told me if a credit card is cancelled the refund will be reversed to the company again. I contacted their help centre to ask to have skip the dishes credit instead of a refund on the credit card which would have been quicker and simple as they cannot credit on my replacement card.
I sent an email again and no one replied. I chatted the support team again and the agent took a long time to reply, I even sent a screenshot of the chat to their Facebook page. I chatted with an agent through the Facebook page to explain the situation again and I was told to wait until the 1st October and the agent send me a receipt of the refund and told me to contact my bank if I don't receive the receive. The bank will refund me.
On the 2nd of October I contacted my bank again and they told me the same thing if the card is cancelled there will be no refund received, the transaction will be reversed. I even sent them a copy of the receipt I received from skip the dishes. They told me the company has to issue the refund again, they don't refund for a company. They told me if your company do not refund then I have to do a chargeback for the transaction. I contacted another bank just to ask if a card is cancelled what happen to a refund which was supposed to be received, they gave me the same information.
I sent 3 emails to their help inbox and on Facebook, and on Facebook it shows it was read, today 14th October no one replied me nor did I get a refund! Don't order on skip the dishes you don't know when they cancel your order and don't refund you, poor customer service!
They're scams. They steal ur money. And ur food. They don't care!
Hungry and waiting for one hour, missing the food, contact them, they said it delivered, no refund!

It is no wonder that other food delivery services are benefiting from the most moronic commercials being produced by a washed up so called comic and I really hate to admit that I am also a Canadian and it embarrasses me to no end
The main guy Jon Hamm who represents the Skip the dishes is one of the most disturbing and grating character I have ever seen on any product or service
He was washed up as a comic and now it shows why

Ship the dishes has scammed me out of $100's of dames by accepting fraudulent orders from a cancelled credit card and even when I get the new card it has a different number it still gets charged to my card
Because Skip the Dishes has a company that has an inside scoop with any major credit card that even if the card number that has been cancelled they get an automatic free pass due to this companies questionable practices. They have a policy and a contract with credit card companies that even if someone cancels a credit card the new card number and all details are provided and the charges still go through
I had to cancel my Cantu 5 times and then block it fo two months and I I am only just now trying to deactivate the card

Do yourself a HUGE favour by deleting your Skip the Dishes app and placing your food order directly through the restaurant you're ordering from or even through Door Dash or Uber Eats. Skip the Dishes has the WORST customer service I have ever encountered. Their insanely poor customer service is consistent each time I've had to contact them and they obviously don't plan on making improvements anytime soon or at all.
Instead of trying to rectify small errors immediately brought to their attention at order placement - prior to food being made and drivers arriving to pick up your order - the chat employees waste your time pretending they're going to help you. The chat employees take so long (30+ min) to provide you with a glimpse of a resolution, that by the time they do the driver is already picking up your food and now "it's too late" to fix anything. And since your order was made/picked up, there's no way Skip the Dishes will offer you a full/partial refund.
Today, I contacted the restaurant I placed my order with directly to let them know of an address mix-up (chose address #2 in my account, instead of address #1) and they were very eager to help correct this for me as they hadn't starting preparing the order yet and they also didn't want the driver to go to the wrong place and leave food on a doorstep for no one. When I messaged Skip the Dishes in their chat right after talking to the restaurant, they refused to make any changes to the order address and said the restaurant told them they had already starting preparing the order - which was a blatant LIE - and that my order would go to the address originally selected and they would not cancel my order or offer any refund. What a waste.
Skip the Dishes has made it very clear that THEY DON'T CARE about the time or money of their customers, drivers, or restaurants they are working with. And if it wasn't for the awesome drivers and restaurants who are so willing to rectify errors that might come up, Skip the Dishes would likely not have made it this far as a business. PLEASE SAVE YOUR TIME AND ENERGY, AND GO AND SUPPORT BUSINESSES OUT THERE THAT ACTUALLY CARE FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS AND EMPLOYEES!
