6-week delivery time. Delivery driver gives no notice, waits 3 min and drives away. Now 2 more weeks
Uncomfortable for me at any firmness level but my wife liked it. Reasonable service. Ended up returning it and will try something else instead.
We had a select comfort 20 years ago it was wonderful... After quite a few years decided to go back and try another we bought the I 8 with the head and foot Adjusting base. My wife and I could never find a good comfort level in the new bed actually started hurting my back then the Bay started moving on its own it's connected to the Internet through an app there was some kind of problem... That's when the real trouble started 1st call to customer service was extremely creepy they were able to tell us who was in the bed when and what we were doing yes the app tracks everything that happens in the bed very scary and creepy... Customer service refused to return the bed until at least 30 days... So we spent 2 weeks in a back bedroom sleeping on another bed which was at least not hurting us... When they came to pick up the mattress we found out that the base was not refundable or returnable even though the base was defective the men working on the bed showed us where the wiring had been crushed in manufacturing... They reported it to their supervisor but still no one would refund or repair the base which consequently does a snow good without the select comfort mattress... Furthermore that a delivery person who was actually very good told us they're happy to take the mattresses back because they refurbish them and sell them as new... 3 months later we're still fighting over the base trying to get it repaired or returned the company is completely uncooperative the customer service will lie to you tell you anything to just get you off the phone terrible company terrible people except the pick up in delivery people who have to deal with all the upset customers they are wonderful courteous and kind... So our experience with the company was terrible the bed was not good but the company was worse...
We bought the iLE bed in May 2015. After about 3 months the cover was torn, and we understood, that the right side didn't work and lost an air. The coverlets torn, the foam torn. You pay a big money for cheap stuff and a poor service.
I called to Customer service in September 2015. I wrote emails. They asked the pictures, I sent the pictures. But Sleep number can't receive they, because The mail system <*******@selectcomfort.com>: message size ******* exceeds size limit. And Sleep number ask again and again the pictures, but their email box was full and can't to receive a new emails.
After they started to ask a questions. I answered at least 10 times for all their questions. But Sleep number repeat and repeat the same questions. After I understood, that they will send me a new parts. But it was not true. I didn't receive nothing.
Then my child became seriously ill, and I temporarily forgot about them. When our family situation stabilized, I wanted to break all relations with the company Sleep number. Because it's a terrible service.
What now? Sleep number lost my emails, and said, that they didn't know about my problems. Now they ask, that I can to pay for their defective parts.
And you know, that the 25-years warranty is lie? You have a 2 years a full warranty, after you will pay for all parts. The first 2 years are covered at 100% and after that it is prorated. Year 3 starts out at 72% and it goes down by 4% every year after. I found out this information just today.
I bought an expensive sleep number
Bed last year and six weeks ago I woke to a flat (airless) bed. I called sleep number customer support and asked them to fix it. They wanted me to perform a test where the pump is disconnected from the bed and the supply is capped. The connection for the pump line to the bed is so tight, I couldn't do this. A week later they sent two fellows out who were able to cap the bed. The next day, the bed was flat. It has been flat for over six and 1/2 weeks now. So eventually sleep number customer support ordered new parts and told me the repair would be made wednesday. So today is wednesday and no one has arrived. Called customer support and they said the team would get here between 11AM and 2PM... this was the 'official' window of time the repair people were supposed to arrive. Then I was told that the repair people would not come today, they were coming next Tuesday. I have known for months I have plans to travel Friday, for 2 1/2 weeks so why would they schedule the repairs for Tuesday when I'm out of town? So we (Tiera and I) to reschedule but the installers were 'in a meeting'. So she offered to schedule for Tuesday, 2 1/2 weeks from now. I asked "what about Monday"? She said "we do not have Mondays'. I asked to speak to her supervisor.
So I waited 45 minutes for Tiera's supervisor. Nada, emptiness - nothing. So I called back again.
I ordered my bed August 2,2020, i was so excited, saved up for over a year to get this. Delivery was for august 22. Got a call 11am august 22 saying they werent coming, my bed didnt show up on the truck. They gave me a $200 credit for inconvenience. I had already gotten rid of my bed per their "get space ready for delivery instructions ". Now sleepi g on a very used borrowed 6" twin mattress on the floor. Next day of delivery is sept 4. Got a call from the delivery guy. Said i would be there within the hour as he was early, "no problem, i will wait right here a d not leave" he said. I left work 3 hours early and i got home to find nobody waiting. I called and he left to help someone and hopefully he would make it back. "Are you serious, i just left work and am missing overtime pay to be here and you arent here! This is total crap!" He then called in and said he was uncomfortable coming to my house for saying the situation was a bunch of s**t. Got another date for delivery which was sept 14, nope that was a lie. Now its october 2. Ive had enough of getting jerked around. Cancelled my order and got refund on the bed. Now fighting to get my refund on the sheet set i sent back. The customer service is absolutely terrible, stay on hold for so long just to get transferred to another person you have to explain everything to again. Will never purchase a sleep number based solely on customer service.
Bed goes flat called they said i need new pump only 3 yrs. Old bad i not recommend no one to buy this bed junk
Called 10 days ago to buy the bed and frame. They told me I have a 90 day no questions asked warranty. Woke up today and changed my mind. Asked to cancel the order and they did but at the end they said the bed frame will be delivered 1/26. I'm confused I thought I just canceled the order. They then tell me they can't cancel the frame after 24 hours of buying it. It's been 10 days;( so now I have to pay $2500 for a frame with no bed. I feel like the biggest sucker. Called the Sleep Number store and talked to the manager in Gilbert who told me he didn't know you couldn't cancel an order for a frame that has not been delivered. This is too strange. Even the manager does not know the policy? I have reported them to the BBB and consumer affairs but unfortunately looks like I'm buying a $2500 bed frame :( Don't be fooled by these guys this was the worst experience I have ever had and I haven't even received it! Damn what a waste of hard earned money! DONT BUY A SLEEP NUMBER YOU WILL REGRET IT!
They might have a good product but the customer service is easily the worst I've ever encountered. Every department is disconnected from the other; you buy from the store who is just there to take your money and that's literally all they can do for you. If you have trouble with delivery, they can't help, customer service can't help either, all they can do is transfer you around until you accidentally land on someone who might be able to help you. Their delivery team actually showed up at my house with NO BED, NO BED! Because a note was in the account that stated the bed was already delivered and just needed to be set up. There was no way to contact who put the note in or find out why and they also couldn't find the bed. A new delivery date 3 weeks out had to be set leaving my mom with no bed for that time as we had removed the old bed per their instructions before they could deliver and set up the new bed. As a result of this mistake on their part, they offered a $400 credit and a set of sheets. HOWEVER, that was just put in the notes and no actual administrative steps were taken to process to credit back to me or even to send the sheets. Call wait times are like an hour long and none of the customer service reps actually have power to do anything so you'll just end up talking to them for 15 minutes while they catch up on all the notes and tell you they have to transfer to a supervisory team which is another 30 mins on hold before you can speak to someone who may or may not be able to help you and transfer you to someone else. They are however excellent at taking notes and documenting why you've called them 15 times but no good at actually providing you with any real help.
UPDATE to this review as of 01. 21. 16. I put the same review the Sleep Number website on their " reviews page " and I just got an email telling me my review did not qualify to be on their website!
After having the King Size bed for about 14 years, I moved it to the guest bedroom once because it was not comfortable for 6 years. Then my wife talked me to moving it up to our room again, and it is still BAD and UNCOMFORTABLE. I always thought it was my fault it was not comfortable, I would visit local store, call the company, and they seem to convince me overtime that it was me and I had to change this and do this - it was always ME that was at fault. I just call customer service and I was on HOLDS for 52 minutes, yes 52 minutes and guess what, they said it was still my fault that the chambers cannot cause my bed feeling like a " water-bed " and I needed to buy a raiser for under them mattress to hep me - I had to buy it!
They are not willing to hep me at all. It is not my fault, it is the bed and they are not willing to help me get it fixed, what about the 25 year warranty!
This beaded company do not even deserved one star, they get a BOG " 0 " from me.

This was the best experience I have ever had in purchasing a mattress. It has been my best investment ever!
My boyfriend and I purchased a mattress almost 2 weeks ago. Since day 1, one side of the bed won't keep air. On day 7, after 5 calls and being hung up on 3 times, we were told to cap that side, and a new pump would be sent. It's been 5 days, and we can't even track it using the tracking number we were given. We called the store we purchased it from tonight and were told they couldn't help us. When asked to speak to a manager, we were told he wasn't there and may not get our message. We were then told they would pass the info to the salesman who sold us the bed, but he may not get the message. We told them we would be disassembling the mattress and bring it back to the store on Saturday. We were told we can't do that. We were also told we have 100 days to return the mattress, but your website clearly says 30. Further, we purchased a $300 matress cover from your company for a bed we will not be keeping. We will NOT be paying $249 for you to come get a mattress that YOU gave us broken. We will return the mattress and the mattress cover to the store. We WILL NOT pay a fee, and we WILL get a full refund. Your company's customer service is indicative of a scam, and we will not be prey to your shoddy business practices. Further dismissal of our issues will not be tolerated, and if necessary, we will make a complaint to the Better Business Bureau as well as leave bad reviews all over the internet. If you fail to adhere to your own return policy and continue to demonstrate such poor business practices, we will seek legal counsel. I don't like to threaten, but we will NOT be victims of your company.
I bought a pillow from Sleep Number and a comforter from another company. Neither worked out for me, and I returned both. I made a mistake - they were both UPS returns and in the chaos of moving apartments, I swapped the labels and sent the returns to the wrong place. The Company Store immediately sent me back my pillow from Sleep Number, but when I called Sleep Number to alert them that I had sent them the wrong thing, they said that returns that aren't theirs are just discarded. I even spoke to a supervisor and that is their policy - no work around. Both reps I spoke to at Sleep Number said they had NEVER heard of such a thing happening and made me feel pretty bad - I CANNOT be the only person who has ever sent a package to the wrong address. I fully acknowledged my mistake and I just wanted my item back, but they won't do it. So I am going to be out over $125 dollars as I can't get my money back from the The Company Store if I don't have the comforter to return.
I cannot believe a well-known and successful company like The Sleep Number business would not try to do all they could to help out a customer. I would never order from them again and I would never recommend them to anyone.
If u ever think about what HELL is like.
BUY A SLEEP NUMBER MATTRESS.
THE MOST OVERATED. POS.
THE ACHES AND PAINS ON YOUR BODY, ARE UNDESCRIBABLE.
OVERRATED CRAP EVER MARKETED.
Purchased an I8 360 and it's just a year old and the base is not working. Took two months for them to call to schedule a visit. Tech comes today and says the mattress is cut wrong and the base is defective. Said customer service would call to set something up to have a new bed sent. WRONG! Sleep Number called and just sending the foam that goes inside the mattress. Had to call another number regarding the base. Sleep Number does not make the base. They don't tell you this. I got the run around from this company. They said they have their own techs so they would have to come out but only after I order the remote and see if that works instead of the app. I argued with the rep as to why this is so difficult. Then she tells me in order to get the remote I need the serial number from the bottom on the bed. She said sometimes the remote will be make the bed "magically" start working. What juice are these people drinking. SO I had try reach my arm under the bed and start snapping pictures until I could see the number. I now have to call back and order the remote which will take a week, then trouble shoot more, then call back if it's not working to have one of their techs come out and look. Then if it's still not working, they will order the parts, ship them, and have a tech replace the broken parts. I guess they don't care they I have to keep taking time off from work for this craziness. Not to mention, I spent over $8,000 on this bed and expected to last longer than a year. I'm still paying for a bed that doesn't work! Sleep Number is the worst store I have ever dealt with Leggett & Platt who make the base are just as bad. All they do is lie about their products and scam people. This has been the worst purchase I have ever made and people need to know the truth about these companies. Their product is not worth the money and their customer service is awful. A child would do a better job! Never again will I purchase a Sleep Number bed!
Buyers beware! I purchased a split king with the based from the Sleep Number store in Clearwater. The manager/sales person at this store is as shady as they come. He is super friendly and talks about how he only keeps that job as a just in case job and how he is in real estate. Will talk about the 100 night guarantee. He will tell you that you have nothing to worry about, get it home try it out for 100 nights and if you don't like it they have your back. As long as you sleep on it for 30 nights and initiate your return within 100 days you will get a full refund so you have nothing to loose. I just got off the phone with the sleep number return hotline and I was informed that is not indeed the case. You only get a refund for the mattress, not the base. The base is 50% the cost of these over priced blow up air mattresses. I've slept better on my $60 blow up mattress while camping. The edges of the bed sag horribly. If you don't sleep directly in the middle of the bed it will sag so bad you will fall out of bed. I'm and edge sleeper and it's been difficult to sleep on. The remotes and the adjustable based have many flaws including sometimes having to wait minutes for it to connect o the bed to be able to adjust it. Worst bed/mistake I have ever made. The bed on sale was over $7000 and it's not worth $500. BUYER BEWARE! There shady sales tactics are protected because they print the notice on the receipt after the sale that you cannot return the base. Again I'll repeat that never was I told before I signed on the dotted line that the base wasn't returnable, it's in find print on your receipt. The sales associate will state that they told you it wasn't, but they certainly cannot even remember whop you are. I could walk into the store and approach the same associate I purchased form and he will not recognize me at all, but will claim to be able to recall a conversation where he stated that. This is total shady sales, bait and switch tactics, do not buy from this company. They want nothing more than to cheat you out of your money for beds they cannot sell.
The base of my Sleep Number just stopped working (it won't adjust). The Sleep Number app instructed me to reset, which didn't work so it then instructed me to contact customer support... the process ended up being a 3-hour ordeal that was a total waste of time because it went nowhere.
I called Sleep Number support first and they ran remote diagnostics on the base. They said, "I'm getting an error message on the actuator on the right side of the bed." They said I needed to be transferred to their "adjustable base team" which turned out to be just a separate manufacturer. They said they'd pass on the info need by the base team and they'd take care of the issue from there. When I was connected with the manufacturer of the adjustable base, no info was passed nor was I informed of what I needed to tell them for my case; there are two actuators on the side of the bed having issues. This was not disclosed to me, so I had to start the process over of contacting Sleep Number support.
After another attempt filled with really long hold times on the phone, I finally got the info I needed and connecting again to the manufacturer of the base. As they were processing my bed issue, I was appalled to find out that I'd have to pay $90 for the replacement actuator, order a remote control for the bed (because a reset could only be done with the remote, which would be needed to complete the actuator replacement), and do the install myself.
When we purchased this bed for over $7k from Sleep Number in October. 2021, I was assured that this significant investment was backed by a 15-year warranty in case we ever had any problems. Considering the high cost, this was very important in our buying decision. The base is what really drove up the cost of this purchase and never imagined I'd have to shell out $100 to fix it after just two years of ownership.
I was so frustrated when I was told by the Sleep Number team that they only paid a pro-rated portion for the replacement part which decreased to 65% of the cost after the first year! And then 5% every year thereafter. These terms were NEVER mentioned when we purchased.
Sleep Number customer support recommended that I speak with a Customer Support supervisor so they connected me. Waited on hold for 20 minutes and the call dropped. Called back again to get connected, which again was another long hold time. When I spoke to the customer service supervisor, it was the worst part of this lengthy process. I went through the process again of explaining the issues I experiencing; he sounded like he couldn't care less and was totally disconnected. So in the end, I'm stuck with a broken bed unless I just bit the bullet and pay for the replacement part.
For something we invested over $7k into, I can't believe how bad this experience has been. This is my most regrettable purchase ever.
The Monroe Louisiana location of the Sleep Number store has a store manager named Quinton Gant that outright lied to us. Yes he told us that the adjustable base was nonrefundable however when we were going to walk away and not sign that piece of paper he reassured us three separate times that if we had difficulty with it the company would take it back. Then he went on to state another lie of a couple who had returned an entire bed just a couple days previous to our purchase. After sleeping on the bed and having numerous problems with the mattresses not lining up (a king split mattress) to sleep IQ not working, the noise of the inflation and deflation and the pump vibration against the bed... well we just didn't like it. Not only that but the major problem was with my scoliosis. The bad made my scoliosis worse and I wanted to return the entire thing but after talking to Customer Service, a case manager, a supervisor and several executives no exception was made in this case and we were just scammed and lied to and betrayed and this store manager would not return calls because he knew he had done wrong.
The Sleep Number executive seem to have a script and no heart for two senior adults.
You could say this company has no customer service at all but to allow a store manager to be an ethical in his sales practices and say whatever he hast to say in order to make a sale is deceit and the company is responsible for that!
We're out several thousand dollars so if you go into a Sleep Number store be sure to take a lawyer with you
By the way your 100 night trial is definitely not free and it cost you $249 if you decide not to keep your mattress but they won't tell you that at the store and it's not documented in their paperwork because they're big on documents
Hello, to start I can tell that for the customer services Sleep number invest a lot of money, no complains about, but for the quality of the bed, not so sure!
Our bed was delivery in Feb/2023 and at that time the crib of my daughter, 7 months, was at our bedroom so I was sleeping in another room and my wife used the Sleep Number mattress alone, so far so good. We had complains about some noises and they sent the technician 1 or 2 times to try to fix and isn't fixed yet.
After few months we moved our daughter to her room and I started to use the mattress, this was the point that we notice that the mattress have several problems, like when any of us move during the night, all the mattress shakes just to compare the old mattress that costed less than half of the price is much better than Sleep number at this point! The noise continue, when we move or sit at the bed we can hear the noise.
With this problems I talked with my wife and we decided to return the mattress because worked just to sleep alone, and this was my BIG problem, when I called they said that the time to return passed in few days, if I remember was just a week and they will not accept the returns and they should send the technician again to change some items, again, the technician come, change some items and notice that the plataform under the mattress was the problem and they will schedule to change, it's scheduled for Sep 04 and for the noise complain it's the 3 or 4 time that they will come to try to fix.
For the return, look like I had 1 week gap to return and now my only way to fix this will be to try to sell this bed cheap to buy a better mattress, because the problem with the quality when my wife or I moved during the night will not be fixed, the mattress shakes, and we are not a fat couple, I can't imagine how work with heavier person.
I had my problems and my big complain is about the quality, it's not a cheap mattress so should have a better quality for noise and shaking problems.
Horrible customer service. The customer service team consistently gives out wrong information and then passes the buck rudely to the next.
Answer: For sleep number mattresses...YOU pay for return shipping even though it doesn't cost $249 to ship it back they're going to make money off of it
