“Good substitute for cable”

In literally 2 minutes, had a $19.99 replacement for my $120/mo cable. I don't like TV anymore, but Sling satisfies my wife's habit while she continues to quit too. Looked into 'long-range' digital antennas, but they're better suited for flatland folks.

I spent a lot of time on their site. I signed up to get locals as I am rural and antenna doesn't work well. After enrolling in service I find that I am required to buy an antenna to get local service. I had to go through a bunch of red tape to talk to a representative who informed me that I would have to get an airtv antenna for the local service. When I said I just signed up less than an hour ago and would like to cancel as I was basing my decision on local channels. I was told I would have to pay for the whole month regardless. I will be informing everyone of this so that others are not ripped off by a disreputable company.

I have had along for years loved it till last year if freezes non stop to point have to unplug TV to reset. Thought it was TV bought new TV same issues friend is having same issue it will just blink out in middle of show. To prove it was not TV switched to Netflix and other streaming sites loaded right up. I deleted app reinstalled same issue. Having same issue as I write this third time today I have had to reset

If you come into a show late, they put all the ads on you missed. I tuned in to the news and watched 7 (SEVEN) ads before it went to the broadcast. It stalls a LOT, especially after a batch of ads. I have talked to the help, used the one help and NO its not my internet which is high speed and no other streaming service has issues.

Crashes all the time. This app on the TV just stops suddenly all the time. You can only watch TV for about an hour before you look up and the app is closed. It's nonsense. And a pain. This is way too expensive for this to be happening

I signed up to this service. It sucks, and charges through the roof. I forgot to cancel the subscription by a few days and they refused to refund me. I had a similar incident with Nextfix one time, and didn't ask for a refund because I was happy with the services anyway, but Netflix refunded me. SLING you suck.

First of all, its always freezing up, constantly throughout the day, I watch it on multiple devices, iPhone, iPad, roku, firestick. Freezes up on all. And, There is always a commercial, every month, that is friggin loud as hell. How embarrassing! Im tired of dealing with it.

Sling TV advertises heavily for being able to watch local channels. That is completely false. You basically have to live in New York, LA, or Chicago for that to be even possibly true. Their work-around is to use AirTV which requires an OTA antenna. The whole point of streaming local channels is to not have to use an antenna. Completely disappointed in the bait and switch. I did get the first month half off, but I still feel like it was a complete waste of money.

I had a monthly subscription, which I cancelled online. However, I was still charged for the next month. When I called customer support, I was told that the subscription will be cancelled from next month and they can not refund my money already charged.

Called tech support with freezing issues and was told I would be cancelled after free trial. After 2 months of taking $21.19 out of my account I was told there are no refunds. Ripped me off over $42 out of my fixed income. BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE!

Not only did sling restart every two seconds they blamed my internet. None of the other streaming services have the issue. What was move annoying is that I feel scammed. Sling is selling customer free tv. What I mean by this is nick jr for example they use Pluto TV what is Free. A lot of there channels nosey for example that come free with every Samsung tv also for free

I hate this service after months you pay a premium and still have to watch long commercial and ads on every channel. The quality of the ads is perfect and the quality of the shows is diminished the video and audio goes to crap after the ads finish.

They will do anything to get your money. I disputed a charge because it was charged at 3 something AM And I know for a fact I was asleep at that time. They disputed my claim and recharged my account anyway And why would I sign up for some thing that I didn't like in the first place. I pay for YouTube TV and spectrum app and Hulu what the hell do I need sorry a@% Sling for? All I have to say is buyer beware!

Ads all the time, and most of the time the ads ruin the show, this is because the show starts over usually, and you have if you try to start back where you left off you watch ads just to find out it's still starting over. I'm beyond frustrated with this crap. I'm going back to cable

Thanks Sling TV for canceling my account NINE days prior to my next bill date with no notice and no refunds! SNEAKY.

Yeah, Sling TV is a class act... shutting down my account because I posted a complaint to the BBB! Thanks for the heads up... wow.

Guys, do not give these thieves your money! The service sucks and they won't give you your money back.

Signed up for SlingTV approx 6pm. Tried for >30 mins, logged out/in of both ESPN & SlingTV. Even went to their "Help Center" where there was a notice that they were having technical issues. Gave up and went elsewhere to watch CFP games. Cancelled 6am this morning (12 hrs later) to be told that the stream eventually started at 7pm and I watched it. Obviously I did not since I wasn't home. And now I have service for the full month that I did not want.

I tried Sling TV for a month. I called to cancel their service but was charged for another. I called to dispute these charges. They say there's no record of my cancellation and wouldn't refund the charges or transfer me to a supervisor but would put in a cancel services for next billing cycle. I hung up and called again immediately in hopes to talk to someone else. This call was very concerning. They had no record of any of my previous calls or my cancellation. There seems no way out of this company!

Upon trying to cancel your sling Tv subscription they will make it as confusing date wise as possible, if u even miss it by a few minutes in my case one day they will not prorate it nor will they refund it, they will make it incredibly incredibly hard to reach anyone customer service wise. Once you do reach anyone at a customer service level expect the rudeness to run rabid. Do not I repeat, do not try this service

I wanna know the reason why they are taking more than what the monthly bill's worth. All I have is the Basic Blue package with the Hollywood package because I wanted the H&I channel, they force ABC despite the fact that I didn't want ABC, $51 per month, but they take more than it's valued, can't sign in, can't do anything, can't even watch your shows without that distasteful buffering or the We'll be back message thrown in your face! And now they won't even let you manage the account, let alone cancel it?! I say, it's time to fight back and put Dish/Sling out of business once and for all!

Tip for consumers:
They oughta dole out refunds. Otherwise, they will be seeing Mr. Caselotti. My attorney.

Click on the free sling they wanted a credit card. Then they charge me the $30.00 plus a 13.4% tax charge for the state of Fl. Fl state sales is only 6.25% this a over charge from the sling co, also Fl does not have a State Tax.

I keep giving you guys a chance because you are less expensive, but I'm never using your service again! I only signed up for your service to get NFL Redzone and the service is terrible. It freezes, times out and boots me out of the game. Meanwhile, I have guest joining me to watch and it's just fukn embarrassing. I have the fastest broadband you can find in my city. I work from home with multiple devices all year long so you can't use that as an excuse. Un$#*!ingbelievable! I switched to Hulu last year and I will switch back to them again! I gave you my money in an economy where everything is increasingly getting more expensive, trusting that you would improve over previous years but it's the same $#*!!

Never again will I chose this provider

On top of this, the app is the worst app in history... I can't tell you how many games I recorded then watched... then it would skip around... nothing like knowing the score in the 4th quarter when you're watching the 1st quarter! No responses from them... I fning hate them

I purchased this service in order to watch the World Cup. Since it showed that it had Fox Sport I went ahead with my purchase only to find out that I was unable to watch the game live. Instead they said I had to watch it the day after it aired. Little to say I looked elsewhere for my viewing. All I can say is this is a terrible streaming service and the customer service was rude when I called to inquire about this issue. I recommend getting YouTube TV, it's overall better and offers everything! F Sling TV, I wish I never googled you!

Have been a Sling customer for about 2 months now. Purchased a new fourth generation Apple TV so I could get the Sling APP. In the last month I have had significant problems with programs being watched just going black or loading endlessly. Sling customer support has told me to unplug the Apple TV, wait 10 seconds and plug it back in. Unfortunately I am now doing that multiple times a day. I also have a subscription thru the Apple TV for CBS All Access. I have had no such problems with that APP. I hope that Sling is able to work out the bugs because the concept of a la carte TV is much in demand. I intend to end my Sling soon.

Terrible service. Your sling service stops working, and they do absolutely nothing to help solve the issue.
Strongly recommend AGAINST sling TV unless you want to be driven nuts by their completely inept and rude customer service.

When there is a problem - They give you no tracking number for the issue, and NEVER contact you back. Worthless waste of time. AVOID! I've had Silng TV for 5 years now, and I'm leaving Sling. Not worth the hassle.

DON'T do it. What ever you do DON'T do it. You will have many regrets. If you do make sure you cancel twice. Not just once but twice on two separate days if you cancel online. They are scumbags and that's putting it nicely.

Stay away from Sling they will steal from you.

I was never able to view the ppv program and did not even know if the purchase was final because I kept being kicked out of the server due to high traffic. I even had security footage that I showed the support staff and still no refund. Had to report the charge as fraud to my bank.
