I have a background in events and graphic design, so in theory I can create the exact invitation or card to suit any event, but I often turn to Smilebox. The selection is vast. The designs are quality and user friendly. I really like Smilebox and my family, friends, and clients love it too.
I guess I'm a closet film-scorer. I use Smilebox for invitations, trip journals, practically anything that I can put a special song to. Pay the very reasonable price to use it all year and have loads of fun. It's the one thing I do that makes me forget time and meals - it's that engaging.
Wonderful site - thank you! The site is easy to use, comprehensive and a life saver - especially when snowed in and trying to organise birthday invitations for school the next day! We very quickly were able to create einvitations and send them out within minutes. Highly recommended for event invitations (I haven't used the other features yet).
I did a trial of this service to build slideshows for mother's day. Smilebox quit just as I was sending it over email. This seems related to file size. But there is no error to let you know that the file cannot be sent. It simply erases your project and you have to start all over.
I have used this program for two funeral/memorial DVD's and found the program very user friendly and the end result was wonderful. Since then, I have been planning many other projects for the near future. It is a great way to organize your photos and you can make wonderful gifts for friends and family.
I love the way Smilebox works... the ability to add many photos, the ability to share by email, Facebook, etc. And I love that all my creations are saved to look back on at a later time.

I have been using smilebox for over 5 years! It has been a fantastic resource for creating unique and beautiful invitations, calendars, newsletters and more. I love how easy it is to find the perfect template for so many different occasions and purposes.

It was my first attempt at using an online evite. I appreciated the service and it was easy to use. A bit confusing to make changes because it creates a new invitation each time, but does allow you to send the one you choose. I believe next time it will be even better! Thank you Smilebox. I hope to join if I find it does work well.
I am not alone in saying this - this company has horrendous customer service. They refuse to deal with you in person, on the phone, they refuse to consider refunds and purposefully set you up to be blindsided by automatic billing and renewal, even after you think you have cancelled.
They will engage in email 'arguing' with you, responding immediately by throwing policy and your own 'obvious ignorance' in your face to deter you from persisting.
I can't ever say a good thing about a company that will not treat their customers as human beings.
I love SmileBox! It is really great for making cards. I have them printed at Walmart or sometimes I do it at home if I don't have too many to do. It is really easy to use. The only thing I wish you could would be too change some of the print versions to landscape from portrait or vice versa.
So fun to use and always enjoyed by the receiver of such a fun slideshow, greeting card, memory saving program. I have used it for so many occasions, but mostly sharing my travels.

I tried this programme a couple of years ago, and then somehow dropped doing scrapebooks. However I am back and it is wonderful to use such a tool. It has taken much of the worst part of scrapping into something truly enjoyable, and an excellent result, from someone who is not in the least "arty" Highly recommend it
Needed to do a presentation on the retirement of the top person in our organisation that has been with the company for 27 years. Our organisation spans the globe so I got submissions of videos and pictures from all over the world. So, to save time instead of asking someone "expert" to compile, I knew I had to do it myself being his PA. I knew there must be something on the internet that could help me and VOILA Smilebox was that Sunshine! It was really simple and steps were easy to follow and end result simply wonderful! Only I had some errors attaching videos but that must be my laptop program problem I think otherwise, pictures all come out so pretty and so many accompanying music to choose from, others etc. perfect! Thank you indeed 100x Smilebox!

My good friend was paying $60 a year and had some magnificent greeting cards and albums that had been sent to friends and family. Suddenly they weren't there. She phoned Smilebox and was told that, yes, they had been deleted, and. Too bad, so sad for you. Because she trusted them, she could not salvage anything, so irreplaceable materials were lost.
The message is to trust them at your own risk.
I bought a Living Social voucher for a photo book with Collage.com. I had difficulty uploading my pictures, but was finally successful. Once I completed the uploading I was lost so I contacted a representative named Alaina. She assisted me and helped me process my order until it was placed. Her patience and expertise went far beyond what I expected. Thank goodness for their customer service agents, especially Alaina!

We are very pleased with the e-card service. There were numerous design options and it was simple to incorporate our photos into a professional card for our list. We also are able to track who reads the message and have been very happy to receive their responses to our Holiday card. This is a game changer for sure.
I started using Smilebox (Hallmark) as a "free" program, but became a subscriber over 8 years ago. With a subscription there were more theme designs and no ads. I have put my photos into slideshows, invitations, save-the-dates, and photo collages in a theme of my choosing and wording with or without music. It is easy for my contacts to receive the creation by email without having to sign up or be a member of SmileBox. An added feature is SmileBox Central which allows contacts to RSVP to a created digital invitation. As noted by other reviewers, your credit card is used for auto-renewal and yes, it is not one step or call to cancel the subscription. Another issue is that creations are saved in a file on your computer, so if you access your SmileBox account on another device, your creation designs are saved and accessed only on that device. Overall I am satisfied with SmileBox for the variety of design and ease of modifying some of the details.
