Very disappointed! I paid over $89 for shirt that, the first time I washed it, it came out with the seams all twisted and completely out of shape - and I followed the washing instructions! It looked great out of the box, but that was it. The quality of the shirt is terrible! It will now be going to Goodwill or I'll be painting in it... I am so mad that I spent that kind of money for shirt I could only wear once!
I had also ordered the Wilhelmina Shirt on the same order, in White. When I finally received it (it was on backorder for weeks), it was so thin, I sent that back for a refund. For the prices they charge, I was expecting a much higher quality of clothing. I won't be ordering anything from them again and the catalogs will be going right in the trash.
Just opened a store in Santa Rosa I'm no spring chicken but I do like a trend... I'm pretty bummed as everything I liked in the magazine was NOT in this new store. It's almost as if they assumed because we have a large retirement community close by that that is our demographic... Boring for the most part and right next door to another boring store JJill I mean you may as well just smash down the wall and Call it JJill 2. Too bad, I guess I need to continue to shop in Marin.
BUYER BEWARE! I ordered something on November 12th, 2016. I am still waiting for My Refund and it is February 22nd, 2017. By the time I receive it March 2017 will be here. Avoid this Company at all cost!
I returned/requested an exchange via USPS on 02/08. Tracking indicated that the package was picked up and processed by the Agent on 02/12. Called Customer Service TWICE (02/13 and 02/21). It was only during the 02/21 call that I was informed that they would not receive the package until 02/26 based on their contract with carrier. As of 02/26, the package is still sitting with the Agent. Really 18 DAYS and still counting! I've unsubscribed from their catalog - because, as I've said "NEVER AGAIN!"
I returned a pair of pants on July 22nd. Got an email on August 2 stating that they had recieved my return and that my card would be credited. Called on August 19th because I still have not received the credit. The rep stated that they "have been having a technical problem and that I should get the refund either next week or the week after". I call BS! I told her, I will call on Monday, if I do not have a refund I will challenge the charge. It is ridiculous to wait a month for a refund that is handled electronically. Will never order from this over priced place again!
I have two dresses from them, and both are crap. The first one,(Jemaa Dress #2CU83) I got last year and it pilled after just two times wearing it. The second, (#2EJ******* Live Soft Reawaken dress), I just received today, after waiting almost two weeks for it to arrive. The color was way off from what was depicted in the catalog. The dress was a dark slate blue v/s the light baby blue shown in the picture. The fabric was thin, and it did not fit well-baggy on top, too snug on the bottom. Their styles are so tempting, but beware!
For the third time, an item I ordered had "delayed" shipping dates. I ordered a suede duster in September, and here it is mid- January and it hasn't shipped. I called around the 1st of January and was told it was going to ship on the 14th of January. I checked today, the 18th, and the expected ship date had moved to January 31st! My PayPal account was charged when I placed the order in September. I will attempt again tomorrow to reach someone who will cancel the order and credit my PayPal account. I would avoid doing business with this company at all costs. Nice catalog. Shady business model.
Worst customer service! I wish I had read these reviews before I ordered. I paid $18 to TRY ON A BLOUSE! RIDICULOUS! Called to get shipping straightened out but got nowhere. Soft Surroundings does not care about customer service or satisfaction. $18 for shipping is a CRIME!
I returned two items I did not like. They charged me $10.86 shipping fee and a "label fee", which I printed out myself, of $7.95. Almost $20 for nothing! Goodbye soft surroundings.
Answer: I would have said, forget it. Their service is very slow, both receiving and especially returning. Plus the shipping to you is high and then you pay a terrible amount to return it. I won't buy from them again. Linda.

Answer: There is obviously a valid reason that there are NO reviews of items on their website. And that's because the overwhelming satisfaction rate of most customers is horrible! Save your time and headache, and skip this company over.
