I have been trying for months to get a return label. My last round of 4 emails has not elicited a response. One star is even giving them the benefit of the doubt. Working through bank now.
Another good business gone bad by cutting quality, value and service for short terms gains on the bottom line... I ordered a button front top "final sale" item online. I checked the size measurements carefully to be sure that it would fit since it could not be returned. I never considered that I would receive a defective item!
One side of the front is almost a full inch shorter than the other side and the buttons do NOT match the buttonholes on the other side. The defect is SO OBVIOUS I wonder how it got past "quality control"... apparently, there is NO "quality control".
The Soft Surroundings label is sewn in crooked... in the past, a defective garment would have the label cut out (a reputable company does NOT want to be associated with defective merchandise) and be sold off as an "irregular" to discounters or overstock businesses. Instead, Soft Surroundings has sacrificed any reputation for quality for a short term gain that will eventually cause them to close their doors... just like many other BADLY managed businesses... I'm going to take sewing lessons and make my own clothes, I will not wear this kind of garbage. Shame on these folks for expecting customers to pay for their mistakes!
I will never order from this company again. Either the item is back order or they keep changing the delivery time. At this rate my clothes won't be here in time to take on vacation.
Soft Surroundings has been bought out and definitely does not adhere to the GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE that Soft Surroundings provided to loyal customers. I have ordered from this company for 11 years. I have removed my name from their mailing list. Beware, not the same company it use to be up until a year ago.
I recently went to pick up an item ordered at Danbury, CT location. When I arrived I noticed a sign "20% off entire store". I asked if I could also take advantage of this sale (was a full price item). The manager came out of the back, with food in her mouth, berating me with an extremely condescending tone, yelling that because the store is liquidating, this was not permitted. I asked if I could receive the 20% off if I returned the item and repurchased it. She became extremely belligerent saying the item would not be available to repurchase for 2 weeks bc they would need to steam the item for display in the store before I could repurchase it. Needless to say…I returned the item and will never be returning to Soft Surroundings again. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Do not order from them, they send their catalog out and it takes 4 months to get the order... I'd like to talk to the major shareholder in this fiasco but he's safely tucked in his Brentwood home!
This company is AWFUL! In a time of a global pandemic when most companies make shopping easier for their customers this company makes them more difficult. Most companies offer free shipping to your home. This one doesn't no matter how much you are purchasing. They ship it to a store where you have to pick it up. They use fed ex which means it will take a very long time. So you go to the store which the website says it offers curbside pick up. You call them and they tell you that they don't offer curbside. After you point out their website they reluctantly agree to do it but they make you wait in your car for like an hour before they bring it out. If some of the things don't fit and you have to return them then you go through all of this again. They return the items but don't give you a receipt for them because they say that their printer doesn't work. When you insist that you must have a receipt proving that the return was made and ask them to simply copy all the information down from the computer onto a piece of paper the assistant manager refuses saying that it is too much trouble! This company has the WORST customer service I have ever seen. I will never buy from them again and am very sorry for spending so much money with them. They deserve to go out of business because they are so bad! I hope that they do!
So I ordered about 1000. 00 dollars worth of clothes midweek with them and I paid for overnight. So I called on Friday afternoon to find out where my order was! So despite them having my phone number to call me. They flagged my order because I used a P. O. Box for my billing. Despite paying for overnight and having my phone number they did not call and check. I mean really I paid for overnight that should be a clue I needed it right away. They can do nothing because that is their contract with FedEx. You could tell with both customer service representative and supervisor Erin that the could care less. I prompted them to call FedEx to see if anything could be done. You could tell they did not want to call and I honestly believe as quick as she was to call back that there is a strong possibility that she did not. If I had not called would have been waiting still. So despite having my phone number and big clue of paying overnight fee they completely dropped the ball! I have recently recommended them to several people that liked my outfits! So now it will be do not remember where I purchased this!
I absolutely LOVE this site, but I desperately wish you would open a store In the Roseville area. This area is BOOMING and has lots of new developments that could be perfect locations for a shop like yours. So come out here PLEASE!
Ordered 6 items, 5 came. Tried to contact customer service via 4 emails no response no refund no item. Horrible service. Next time read reviews. Never again.
Answer: I would have said, forget it. Their service is very slow, both receiving and especially returning. Plus the shipping to you is high and then you pay a terrible amount to return it. I won't buy from them again. Linda.

Answer: There is obviously a valid reason that there are NO reviews of items on their website. And that's because the overwhelming satisfaction rate of most customers is horrible! Save your time and headache, and skip this company over.
