**WARNING**DO NOT SIGN UP WITH SPRINT! *Beware of their scams!* Sprint claims to no longer have contracts but that is false! My husband & I tried Sprint & after 3 months of terrible service and numerous complaints, there was zero resolution & we had no other option but to switch carriers. Please note we live in central Phoenix & they kept trying to blame the trees. While in the process to switch over to another carrier we both received texts from Sprint asking us to return our phones (which we were leasing) & so we did. A couple of months later we get a $1,100 bill. They are claiming we never sent our phones back. So after a month of calls, store visits and getting the bank involved (since they just charged our CC on file with no authorization) they decide to do the right thing and agree the phones had been returned which we had proof of all along via the tracking number. BUT that's not the end. They credit us a measly $300 for 2 brand new iPhone 7's and now are charging us $800 for breaking an "agreement" which was to lease the phones... which WE RETURNED. No one ever mentioned this "agreement" to us... not when we signed up, not when they text us asking for the phones back, not when we went into the store to return our phones and not when we called to get the shipping labels for the phones. We were under the impression that the lease agreement was over once we returned the phones we were leasing! And that's what they lead us to believe. Bunch of liars and scammers is what the Sprint company is all about. Please do not bother with them they will try and screw you over too and saving $20 a month is not worth the $#*!ty service they provide. ***ALSO if you read the fine print on their "agreement" you will see that after 2 years of paying off the phone you are leasing Sprint STILL OWN IT!*** What kind of BS is that!?!? AVOID THE NIGHTMARE! Between the terrible service, way they treat their customers and their employees I CAN'T believe they are still in business.
I lost a phone & needed to transfer my data on a phone given to me. The store manager in Destin, Fl was VERY helpful!
Lies deceit inconsistencies... These are the best and nicest words I could possibly give to this company. Thinking a company will upsell with. Pay extra data and will give you a tablet for the inconvenience on the phones that needed to be brought back twice from the batteries that can explode, sweet! Well no will just discount the tablet when u get the bill... ok, bought a device that I didn't want but sure. Then later on, go back to a Sprint store, oh wait that was a 3rd party affiliate that's wearing our uniforms representing our company, what they sign you up for doesn't count... thats coo that you signed up for the plan that was deal with 5 phone lines as I only had 2 at first, buttttt let's not charge you for that deal that was advertised and promised that the bill would be about X dollars as they couldn't compute the taxes. Well, again that was a 3rd party store and was told by an anchor store that we should have asked. So I was supposed know they have knock off Sprints? Trying to leave this company and have a phone unlocked has been atrocious. One person says Hey the phone is unlocked you're good to go to another company. The next one says oh no you can't because you still have an outstanding bill of your last month that has not been sent out yet. My question was how much is the bill? The response was I don't know I can't figure out the taxes, try calling us back again in the next couple of days. So this I phone my daughter absolutely needed continues to be held captive... bill paid in full, waited the 24-48 hour time span for them to unlock it, then was told hey wait another up to 72 hours and the request is in their system since the request only took 24 hours to be submitted. However 5 days prior to this call, was told I would have no issues changing companys... bless the hearts of all the representatives iv spoken with, for I probably owe each of you a strong beverage, and each of you owing each other strong drinks in order to deal with me from being misinformed after each conversation. Sprint, do your current employees a favor and provide a unison training which in turn may grant less irate costumers.
Left $100 deposit when i bought my sprint phone at radio shack with post paid account. When my bill came in it was double. Customer service said it was because i had a pre paid service. I said i left deposit at radio shack, take deposit (no one pays a deposit on pre paid account) add to my account i pay the difference everyone happy. NOOO sprint says its in my contract they keep my deposit for 1 year. I said but i have same contract saying i have POST paid account. Sprint says they dont honor radio shacks contracts. I said then you can put my $100.00 on my bill then if contract is no good. Sprint says cant do that cuz contract says... a few months later i after problem with insured phone i tell them to shut off my phone. I got a bill A YEAR LATER for $600.00+ they said AFTER they shut my phone off at my request they could not get ahold of me to verify that i wanted to terminate my service so i owe them for 6 months of service. I only had service for 1 1/2 months of this 6 months. That was 5 years ago, PROBLEM STILL NOT SOLVED! NEVER SAW MY $100.00 ANYWHERE! As i see it THEY STILL OWE ME $100.00! SPRINT SHOWS UP ON MY CREDIT SCORE AS I OWE THEM!
I just want Sprint customers to be VERY careful and aware that they are notorious for taking unauthorized charges out of your account, and they'll do it over and over and over until you figure it out.
I purchased a phone in 2014 and did the two year payment plan, so there is a subsidized phone charge every month for 24 months that is supposed to be there. In my case (and based on my research MANY others) they continued taking this charge out of my bank account for almost 40 extra months. Because by the time the 24 months hit, I was so used to having the bill be a certain amount, I totally forgot to check that they stopped taking this money from my bank. It wasn't until a deep dive a few months ago that I "accidentally" figured out that they had continued taking out these fees. I was livid. They tried to say that because I didn't find out they were taking unauthorized charges that I was therefore authorizing them to take my money. WHAT?!
Anyway, they tried to say it was just a glitch on my phone's account, but my husband purchased a phone one year later, and they did the same exact thing. I've read many accounts of similar issues, so I can see the problem runs rampant. I imagine to date they've likely made millions of dollars off this across the many customers they've had.
The lesson here is you MUST babysit Sprint, and make sure every bill and every charge is accurate. Our total of unauthorized charges over the years amounted to over $700, and in the end, after much back and forth, and climbing the ladder of management, they FINALLY issued a check to my bank account in the full amount.
First they offered me a $250 bill credit. Next they offered me a $480 bill credit. Then they offered something in between. I was assertive but not angry and said since they took the money from my account, my bank account is where the money needed to be returned. Eventually they did agree, so I'm here to let you know to babysit what they're charging you, and when they start offering partial restitution, be careful what you settle for. Just remain calm but assertive.
A fact worth noting is that even though they have it somewhere in their paperwork that if you don't find the mess-up soon enough, they somehow get to keep this money (nothing more than cheating you out of money in my opinion) - when they take unauthorized fees from your account no matter how short or long they do it, it is STEALING. Stealing is taking something with no intent to return it, so when they refuse to repay what they incorrectly took, they have effectively stolen.
SPRINT IS THE WORST WORST WORST COMPANY. Do not in any way think about signing up for their services. They will rob you if you set up auto p
SPRINT SERVICE SUCKS DROP CALL HIGH $#*! BILL! YOU CALL INTO CUSTOMER SERVICE NO ONE SPEAKS ENGLISH OR THEY HANG UP ON YOU.
I like Sprint's phone but their customer service is not so good. Although I like Sprint phones.
My husband took Sprint up on their trade in your iphone 6 for a iphone 7 deal, with no monthly charge back in October 2016. He got the new phone and returned the old phone to Sprint. In November we noticed that we were being charged monthly for the iphone 7. My husband called and was told he would receive a credit for the false charge next month. Next month comes around and the same charge is there, my husband calls again and is told the same thing. In January we find the phone bill is still wrong so I called. I was told we would receive a credit and next month it would be correct. I received the next months bill and found that charge was still there. I finally found an email address *******@sprint.com that got an actual person to call me (instead of waiting on hold for 10-20 minutes). He told me he would fix the issue and not just give me a credit. He followed up with me once it was done, but I didn't hold my breath it was over. Next month the phone bill was still wrong. I sent an email again to that email address and got a completely didn't person who called me (she was incredibly rude). She looked into the matter further and found out that the warehouse never received the phone and that is why we were being charged. My husband was told the phone was received when he called back in October/November. It was never mentioned to me that the phone missing was the issue for this screw up. I then asked to speak to a supervisor because I wanted someone who could actually do something about my continuing problem. That is when I got Ryan *******@sprint.com, who offered me a deal. It was my understanding this was a bulk amount for the phone missing to be credited to my account because there was no other way to wipe the missing phone from the records (a phone that we turned in). So I agreed to take this deal, after I asked him to confirm that my phone bill would go back to the amount it used to be monthly (around $158 for 2 lines and an ipad). Then yesterday I see my phone bill still has that monthly charge for the iphone 7. I contact Ryan and he said I agreed to this monthly charge, which I certainly could not. I don't owe Sprint any money. I've been a good customer and have tried to solve this for months now. They refuse to wipe that monthly charge so I want to spread the word of the bad customer service I have received and the false charges they are trying to get away with. The email correspondence with Ryan is infuriating, but I refuse to get on the phone one more time with them. I plan on leaving Sprint because I have no obligation to stay, but my husband has to wait for his contracts to run out.
Answer: Yep. It is such a SCAM! THEY BEG U TO ACTIVATE UR DEVICE
