I'm on the lowest monthly plan and it limits your stamp printout, but with everyone using ACH payments it's the perfect plan of me! I haven't had a problem yet. I have been a user for over a year... very happy!
So easy to use, technicians are always patient and friendly and ready to help you. Saves time and money. Yes there is a monthly charge, but isn't there for everything? Saves trips to the post office, no waiting in line... print your envelopes with address and return address as well making your own custom stamps
You pay a small monthly fee for access to their site and the postal scale they provide you. You can buy ALL your supplies online from them: postage, labels, Priority labels, even Christmas stamps! Saves me so many trips to the Post Office. Not to mention, the discounted rate on the postage just for being a customer! I have used this service for many years now and highly recommend their wonderfully convenient service!
I have tried contacting customer service several times and have never once received a response. I've been using stamps.com for years but am considering trying another option. For more than 6 months I have not been able to access my history on my stamps.com main page and was told I would have to go to an alternative site just to see my history. History has been available there for years and now, all of a sudden it is gone and they can't seem to figure out why? Really?
Although it is convenient I am paying $15.99 just to have the service PLUS the cost of the paper/printable products is ridiculously high. Will most like go back to regular stamps when my credit runs out.
I bought a ZEBRA ZD220 Thermal Printer from Stamps.com; it cost me $399.00, and it doesn't work! Stamps.com technical support spent at least 1 hour trying to install the Printer and were not successful! I called Stamps.com and requested a Refund; well, you guess it, I have a $399.00 Printer that doesn't work, I have not received a Refund, and to make matters worse, at the time I bought the Printer, I also bought a case of rolls to be used with the Printer. Because it couldn't get the Printer to work, Stamps.com sent me an email letting me know that it waived one month of my regular service fee... such a deal, it sells me a Thermal Printer that it couldn't install for $399.00; and, in return it waives a $24.95 regular fee for one month. W0W, gee, gosh!
Have only had it a few weeks. Very convenient, which makes it worth the cost, given that we live far from a post office but mail packages a few times a week. Very disappointed that several types of labels cannot be used from a Mac computer, as they are only supported by the PC-only software. I may not have enrolled had I known this. They even "let" me purchase $$ worth of labels from my Mac computer when I joined, only to find out I can't use them
For $15.99/month they give you the right to buy stamps, nothing else. The sign-up process is vague and basically all you sign up for is the right to pay $15.99. The software is crap. DON'T DO IT! I called TWICE to get my account cancelled in the span of 8 months and the charges continued until I finally spent 45 minute talking with 3 different level technicians to put a stop to it.
We used to use Dazzle and when we heard that Stamps.com acquired Dazzle we thought that life would be great, but none of Dazzle's great features have migrated to Stamps.com. Dazzle would let you put in just the zip and get city & state auto loaded. Dazzle let us PRINT a return label on the spot to be included with the package instead of having to email to customer and hope they print before it expires. Importing our orders from website, Amazon & Ebay continues to deteriorate. It duplicates data sources and if your computer restarts you get stuff that you shipped 2 or 3 weeks ago.
I especially like their customer service representatives. I have been a customer of stamps.com for years. It is so easy and so convenient that it would be ridiculous to even try something else. Occasionally I've had a problem, even on the weekend, and I can always get help. Their customer service people are friendly and knowledgeable and I can't remember a time when they were not able to guide me through a new procedure or something I had done wrong. They are also extremely good about refunding the money when I have done something stupid like printing the stamp on the wrong side of the label. My refunds have become easier through the years. I can highly recommend stamps.com especially for small businesses
I was skeptical at first but when our meter contract was up about a year ago the owner decided he didn't want to pay the price for a meter any longer. We looked into stamps.com and have been a satisfied customer ever since. The system is easy to use and there is no charge when the Post Office changes their rates. It is automatically updated at no charge.
Probably sold something on Ebay and unknowingly got hooked. Got charged $15.99/mo for two months, called and cancelled but kept charging so had to get VISA to refund the unauthorized charges. Probably ok if you ship on a daily basis, mostly for businesses but thought I was dealing with USPS.
Stamps.com has been a wonderful addition to my home office. I can do any type of mailing and get a discount. I have a home business and would not be able to function without it. Also, anytime I have a question or need a refund, they are prompt, professional, and helpful. You can't go wrong with this service.
I have found the best Post Office around! Right here in my own home. Stamps.com is my way of sending packages and mail. I print my own postage whether it be on USPS Postage stamps, Labels, or even straight on the envelope itself! I can mail a friendly letter, a package, a big or little box, registered mail, certified mail... any mail you would go to the local post office and have them do it. At my leisure too. I can even call the post office to come pick it up. I don't have to leave home for postage or any kind of mail. Everybody should have Stamps.com. They are on the internet so just log on to their site... stamps.com.com... and get your own service started the same day. That's what I did and I've had it for several years now. Get on the net and get Stamps.com today! Tell 'em I sent ya!
I was testing this out for a client to streamline her postage. I got a charge on my bill for their monthly fee even though I did not use their services and I was only testing it out.
Do not give them your credit card unless you plan to buy stamps. Make sure you read the terms carefully before you sign up.
As with the title it is very convenient, but when a price change is placed it doesn't consider that those who do not use the remaining stamps on a sheet are going to waste or require additional small (penny) stamps. There are none to be provided on the system. Results the old printed stamps are wasted or are used by paying almost double postage.
Recommend that the old printed ones be authorized until consumed. The current policy compromises the convenience because we have to go to the post office to pay the difference ie. 3 cents
You will be charged for your trial period! I didn't find this stated anywhere in the trial promo before signing up, but was charged for my trial period, and I didn't even have a chance to print/use it at all. They will not refund. Also, when I called to cancel, I was given many package options much cheaper (one was free) than the package I was automatically given and charged for. Seems they are hiding things and taking advantage of customers.
Using stamps.com saves me tons of time. It keeps all previously used addresses, it lists many ways to ship. I bought a postal scale and do it all myself. Great for a small business not to mention the small discounts and tracking. This is a must have website.
Their site is very frustrating to work with. Slow. My contacts often do not come up. It will tell me my billing info is incorrect even though it is. Ugh!
Do not put your credit information in to get stamps unless you are prepared to have 15.99 taken out whether you know it or not. It is not free. Since June 2013
I have been charged on my card and I didn't know it. Didn't know that if you don't call them in 4 weeks to cancel you get charged. They will not refund your money either. They say that they expect everyone to review everything before using their site. So beware if you don't read the fine print.
Answer: Yes. SendPro is less expensive per month but you can only print on a printer purchased from them. Stamps.com is usable on a variety of ink jet, laser and thermal printers
Answer: Impossible I call their Customer Service line went through their answering system then put on hold, hung up after waiting 20 min. Sent a comment to the site email, got a response saying they would get back to me in a day or so.

Their website directs you to follow the steps noted below in order to cancel, but the "close this account" option SIMPLY does NOT exist! It is not there! You email them and do not get anywhere. You call their phone number and they put you on hold for over 45 minutes! In the meantime, they are charging you! "In Stamps.com Online: Open the My Account drop down menu and select Manage Account. In Stamps.com Windows PC Software: Select the Account Tab. Select the Change/Cancel Plan Tab. Click close this account.
