This used to be my go to site for clothing and shoes. Tonight I thought I'd take a peek at what's new and discovered no longer are you able to pick your shoe size, dress size, or another size! It's not even divided into subcategories like petite and Plus. Awwwww...liked it better 4-5 years ago when it was easy to find what I was looking for and there is not near the items that there used to be. Also, had to wait for a code via email to signing. It's been over 45 minutes and still no code, even asked for a 2nd code, you guessed it...still no code!. So long Swap. Back to Poshmark for me. Sad to leave. I'M GLAD I REREAD THE NEW SELLER FEES AND TERMS BEFORE i SENT ANOTHER BOX TO THEM. SELLERS BEWARE - DO NOT SEND YOUR STUFF TO THEM. THIS SITE IS NO LONGER TRUSTWORTHY. THEY DO NOT LET SELLERS PRICE THEIR OWN ITEMS ANYMORE. AND THEY TAKE 80% OF THE SALE PRICE. IF THE ITEM IS SOLD FOR $10 THEY WILL ONLY GIVE YOU APPROX $1.80. AS FOR BUYERS: I HAVE MADE 5 PURCHASES EACH- EACH ONE INCLUDED 8-15 ITEMS. SHIPPING COST WAS REASONABLE BUT TOOK A FEW WEEKS TO RECEIVE IT. I AM NOW CONSIDERING NOT BUYING FROM THEM ANYMORE BECAUSE THEY HAVE "REJECTED" MY ITEMS BEFORE THAT I KNOW WE'RE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION YET I HAVE SEEN ITEMS LISTED IN FAIR CONDITION. UPDATE: After uploading my items to the site it took them an additional 10 DAYS to price my items. Previously pricing was instantaneous. (Sellers can't set individual prices now; we have to use Swap's algorithm and are at their mercy.)
I've sent 4 boxes to Swap.com over the last 4 years. At first, the process was quick and the compensation fair. But numerous changes over the last 18-24 months have soured me on ever selling through swap again. The compensation has gone down dramatically, the acceptance criteria is randomly applied and the processing time for each box has gone from less than 30 days to over 75 for my latest shipment (sent June 2017). It's clear they can't handle the volume of clothes they receive, even after they upgraded to a larger facility last year. Bottom line, if you're selling designer women's wear, send it to Swap. If not, they don't want it - their price structure and customer service prove it. It's a good business move for an overwhelmed company, but a bad move for me. Back to craigslist I go...
I'm wondering why all the poor swap.com reviews? I have had very good experiences with the site. I have only purchased items. Never a seller. What I have purchased was for myself and my adult children. For Christmas everyone got shoes, boots, winter gear, pants and sweaters that I had been purchasing all year. Many items new with tags. All great values. No issues with shipping or returns. Sure is not packed like department store items. No tissue paper, No neat tags or pretty box's. But the prices are significantly better then the other sites, Shipping is free because I group my purchases. I don't worry about how its wrapped its all going into the washer right away anyway. I have had three items that were damaged. I don't think anyone at swap could have noticed these small problems. In each case they refunded the price. I feel I'm given enough time to return items. The site has regular sales and promotions. I'm pretty happy and I refer my friends and co-workers often. I hope Swap is not going out of business like some reviews are speculating. We need good sites for selling used items. Competition is good for consumers. Swap should work on the relationships with their sellers. I would pay a little more in the interest of fairness. I like saving $ but not at the cost of hurting others. Best regards to all.
Tip for consumers:
Shop often. Put things in your cart. If you have to have it. Buy it right then you may not get a better price. If your looking for great value keep it in your cart and wait for a coupon or promotion. Yes others can buy the item as long as its listed but you will often get many things you wanted at a great price. But remember if you are crushing on an item, You need to buy it ASAP.

They are mixing a pretty dangerous cocktail, Prices are going high, shipping is too freaking slooooow, I get 3 orders and after 10 days and 2 more to go they still sitting somewhere in FedEx facilities, now my delivery date has been postponed for another 2 more days making a total of 14 days(Seriously) non mention the transfer from FedEx to USPS makes another extra day or 2. I remember when I used to get my orders in 5 business days but I guess those times are over.

I discovered Swap about 7 or 8 years ago. I was able to sell items free of charge and shop with my credit if I wanted or have it deposited to my bank account. They used to do great sales during holidays and now they seemed to stop that. Over the years I saw many changes in selling and shopping. I had many items rejected for issues I saw other items being sold for. Quality issues when I purchased such as holes, stains, wrong sizes sent and even completely different items being sent. I've ordered several shoes that would later be unavailable without any explanation just credited back via store credit. Which I can not stand at this point just give me my money back via credit card. Unavailable clothing that would show up again for sale. Almost every time I would receive a store credit and the cycle would continue. I don't know what exactly is happening in the warehouse but they need to be retrained. I do not sell any longer due the $15 charge if consigning with them it's just a waste of money they will reject half. I still have a $35 credit which if I use I risk having unavailable items again. Needless to say shop at your own risk. Also Swap do better

If you are looking to make some cash selling your clothing and items, do not use swap. They have made some major changes since their early days that result in this site being nothing worse than a time waster and a headache. You are better off throwing your clothing in your trash then sending it to them. When SWAP started out it was a great site. You could set your own prices. They did not take very long to post the items. You could make a little cash on the side. Now it takes them months to even get to your box. 2. You can no longer price your items, and I have had some of my items sit in queue for over 25 days. I sent these items in May/June and were mostly summer seasonal clothing. We are now nearing December and some items are yet to be priced. 3. Their pricing matrix is way off. As a buyer I would not buy the items at the prices. As someone who has sold on ebay in the past, the prices are ridiculous (and I am trying to make a little cash here). 4. Oddly too when they reject an item they show you a photo of a bundled up fabric and it is really uncertain if that is something I even sent them or some cryptic way to sell my "rejected" items without me knowing. This place should really go out of business. All the things that made Swap great are no longer part of their business practice. What a shame.
There prices are great and the quality of products can not be beat, Fast service and if you do not like something simply send it back. So much easier than driving to and from thrift shops.
After reading reviews on this site, I was worried after placing an order with this company that I'd regret it. But it's been a great buying experience and I've now ordered three times. The women's clothing items I've ordered in "good condition" have been exactly that, ranging from excellent to very good and all certainly in wearable condition. The prices, especially for marked down items, are fantastic -- half the price of other sites if you get free shipping. You will get some items that might be a little stretched or something, but these can be returned for free, so you've lost nothing. I do recommend shopping the site on a screen large enough to enlarge pretty well; the photos are good enough for you to see any fade, etc, that you won't be happy with after buying, but you have to click and have a decent sized screen ie, tablet not phone, in my case). Boys clothes are good too -- just be aware that sizes are more variable - a size 14 can mean 12-14 or 14-16. Also, create an account before you place you first order. If you don't, you can get the refund from your purchase as a guest posted to the account just by coping the key that's sent to the email you used as a guest, but you do have to take that extra step. Overall, keep in mind that it is an online thrift store, not a new store, and you'll be very pleased!

Use the filters to focus your search on brands, colors, and fabric content or you'll be overwhelmed with number of items!

This website is better than salvation army! The items that I have gotten from here have came to me in brand new condition! I love this website for my 6 year old daughter & I! I ordered men's shorts for my son to work in. He is a boat mechanic and his clothes take a beating from oil, grease, battery acid etc. He wasn't real happy when I told him the shorts were not new and the box sat unopened for a few days. I finally told him to at least look at them or I would give them to one of his three brothers. He did and was he surprised! He couldn't believe the whole box was under $50 and the shorts looked brand new.
Another time I ordered four pair of Levi jeans for one of my other sons, had them shipped to his address and forgot to tell him. He called me and told me he received a box of jeans. I told him I ordered them from Swap.com and he couldn't believe they weren't new. He said they were too nice to wear where he works, which has something to do with oil fields.
I have been pleased with every item I have purchased and with every item I have sold. Selling is so easy on this site too!

Oh yes wonderful experience buying clothes that the site don't pay the person who sent it thats called stealing. SWAP gets 100% profit. I sent 10 pounds of clothes was returned 3 pounds and the rest is GONE. SWAP kept 11 pieces. The 10 pounds of clothes were all 6 months and under ALOT of CLOTHES. Going to thredup
I loved the idea of a website like this, my kids grown out of clothes so fast it's too crazy buying everything new. I ordered nearly $200 worth of clothing and toys from the website. I went to check out and 6 items in my cart was bought out from under me. It was okay though because I was still happy, until now.
The day after purchase I received an email saying one or more of my items was now unavailable and a refund would be given. I was disappointed about that. Again on the second day after purchase (and after receiving an email saying my order has been shipped) I received yet another email saying a shirt/short combo was now unavailable and I would be given a refund.
My problem is this, I understand that this is a used clothing website and that people can buy clothes in your cart until you pay for them but why AFTER paying are the items I ordered still being bought and refunds given? I have yet to receive any refunds.
It seems like a good idea in theory but realistically, the warehouse/website doesn't seem to be updated enough to prevent "unavailable items" from making it worth buying on the site. I can probably expect half my order to actually arrive at this rate.

As a first time customer, I clicked on their "40% off order" in exchange for giving them my personal information- email address and cell phone number. Two major problems: First, the code I was given was bogus- it did not take anything off my order. Complained to customer service and they credited my debit card, but only for part of what they owed me claiming that part of my order did not qualify for the discount. THERE WERE NO EXCLUSIONS DISCLOSED BEFORE I GAVE THEM MY PERSONAL INFORMATION. When I complained, they have refused to respond. I finally had to file a complaint with the BBB all for $38 that they owe me. Very unprofessional and dishonest seller. You will have much better luck at thredup.com for gently used clothing. I attached a screen shot showing their offer that does not mention any exclusions (at bottom of photo). Clearly a dishonest bait and switch tactic.
I used to order from this website on a semi-regular basis. Recently I ordered some winter clothing and a couple of pairs of jeans. The confirmation email told me I would have my items by no longer than October 21st. Here it is November 3rd and I have yet to receive a shipping notification let alone my items. Getting in contact with anybody in regards to this matter has been like pulling teeth. Out of frustration I responded to one of their many text messages in regards to sales and I surprisingly got a living breathing individual. I then proceeded to get bounced around to four different departments before getting a straight answer. I informed them that maybe it is a good idea to not include a shipping date in the confirmation email if they can't stick to it. Keeping my fingers crossed in regards to the items themselves. This used to be a decent service, they have fallen off quite a bit since the start of the crap. It's a real shame. I don't feel comfortable recommending this online service to any of my loved ones anymore.

Up until a few months ago Swap was a great site for sellers. It is AWFUL now. They are taking 3-4 months to process items sent in therefore summer clothes sent in at the beginning of the season are not getting online until fall! They have also Drastically cut the payout percentages to sellers from 70% to 30%. They used to give preference to frequent sellers by processing their boxes quickly but they cancelled that to. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THEM
Complete scam. Fees & more fees. Items stolen. Rude customer service. THEY fix prices to make THEM more money but not you. This needs investigated for FRAUD!
