I was really nervous to order from the real real after seeing all these bad reviews, but I saw an Alice and Olivia dress at a great price, and when they offered a $25 site credit, I took advantage of it. I ordered two nights ago and have already received my dress. It came packed in a dust bag and was new with tags and in pristine condition as stated on the website. The measurements seem to be accurate as well. I scored a $300 dress for $50!

Maybe I just got lucky, but I would only order NWT on a site like this with the ability to return an item if necessary. Most people are buying second hand items on this site and they need to realize items will look worn because they have been. And fakes have been flooding the market for years. It sounds like the real real needs to do a better job authenticating items before selling them.

I have a few additional items I have my eye on and will order when I get another site credit. Good experience overall.

Search engine does not allow for specific searching to find my items. If they aren't sold right away they go into an abyss where no one can find them. Takes 2 plus months to authenticate designer items.

I'm a long time shopper and consigner on the Real Real but there are problems with this site. Every time I call I'm on hold for between 15-20 frustrating minutes. When I ask questions of any substance or. Ask to speak with a supervisor they have to check with their '' support team". The descriptions of the items are lacking important details. Some clothing items have dimensions and others don't. Every item should have a chest, waist and length measurement. Consigned items are received and it takes forever for them to appear on the site. Very frustrating.

I have been shopping TRR for years. I found them as many people find online shops via an internet search engine. For the most part the items descriptions match the photos. Read the return policy twice. They do accept returns but not to clearance large discounted sale items. Thankfully you can consign it with them and you don't have to ver stuck with it.

After 8 years of selling high-end luxury items with The Real Real, I've decided to cut ties. This is due to poor service and constant mistakes. I don't know what happened with this company but, it has gone down hill. If you have time to constantly make sure your items are listed correctly and corrections are made, then you'll be happy with the service. My last consignment was such a disaster, I REQUESTED, all 20 items to be returned. They'll probably eventually have to file bankruptcy. Anyway, I've decided to sell my items on EBay and Fashionohile. I'll never do business with this company again.

Ok after making a first time purchase with the brand I'm extremely disappointed. I ordered a pair of Christian Louboutin believing the site with size being half size smaller. Not true it is a full size smaller and with shoe final sale there is nothing for me to do but sell them, adviced by staff. Now reading reviews I don't trust the brand with the shoe they sold me. Don't think its a good idea. Buyers beware of the product you buy or end up like me, having to sell item on eBay. Beware of the information on your product. Do your research.

I have purchased and sold many items on TheRealReal over the years. Although I haven't sold as high of product cost and have not made huger purchases, I am a frequent shopper and buyer. I respect their requirements for product quality. Wish the shipping were a bit more flexible to the value of the product purchased. Also, returns are easy, and final sales are understood, but the cost to ship back is taxing. Also, would desire some picture detail when they state minor spots or staining. There has been some inconsistency over the years, albeit improved, on description.

I was contacted by TRR luxury consignment manager after a recent purchase where I opted in to become a consignor. I experienced nothing but super thoughtful and flexible contact throughout the process.

I bought a LV handbag from the Real Real and it was in horrible condition the shoulder strap was literally hanging on by a thread and looked beat up. I would have never bought this bag if i knew the condition it was in but this site uses stock photos of the products listed. If they posted photos of the actual bag you could easily see the damage. In my opinion i would never have consigned this bag it is more than "gently used" and not in "good condition".

Save yourself some frustration and dont buy from this company. I purchased a green retrofete dress from them and they send me some crappy shirt. When i explained the issue to the CSR the only thing they could tell me is my return will be free. And the return label the sent made it seem like i was returning the green dress. Up until a few months ago, your descriptions were perfection. Lately I am ordering and getting the completely wrong size from what the description states. I see MANY errors in your product line up also. I hope you get this addressed and soon! I am losing faith! I love you and recommend you often, but…

My experiences with TRR have all been wonderful. Sometimes, shopping online can be difficult due to sizing issues, etc.
TRR staff are all quite understanding and ready to please with a suitable outcome. They have a wonderful marketing and customer service team to back up their merchandise. I am thrilled by most of my acquisitions and the available wardrobe choices!
Highly recommend doing business with TRR and enhancing your personal wardrobe the sustainable and intelligent way!

In my last order two items were not as described. One had a pretty big hole despite being listed as "very good" condition, and the other was not even close to the size listed. All I was offered was a pitiful site credit or a return. I had already paid for import fees, so returning was not an option. I will think twice before shopping with the RealReal again.

I ordered a pair of Common projects men suede slip ons. The product description said there was no size listed on the shoe but their measurements said it was 11.5

I received the shoes and they are nowhere near 11.5. I was going to return them but a friend who wears a 9 could fit and them and I gave the shoes to them.

So far so good. I am a little apprehensive since my last two orders before this one was a disaster. One, the order was not processed until a week later. The one after that, it was cancelled. This is so strange because I've had good experience in ordering except lately, it's one bad experience after another. Customer Service was... So you can't blame me to hold my opinion until I actually receive this order.

The RealReal has proven over and over with my transactions that buying is never a concern. Any issues are dealt with immediately but more importantly... the quality of purchase is never in question. Having recommended TheRealReal to so many... I am always confident that they will have the same experiences as I.

My account has been screwed up since August when I did not get a shipment fit an expensive piece of jewelry. They acknowledged it was never shipped although I was charged. After 3 weeks of no resolution I disputed the charge to my card. They told me to mark the dispute as resolved and they would credit my account. I told them they had 3 weeks to do that and would not even reply to my emails or calls. I called my credit card company and they said absolutely do not do that because then I am responsible for the charge. I don't trust them any further than I can throw them.

I find TheRealReal to be a very trustworthy site. From buying authentic name brand goods to excellent customer service. Each piece I have purchased has become a treasure to my wardrobe. I have upped my style without emptying my bank account. So happy I discovered this wonderful retail pre loved site!

I sent a few boxes of luxury items. I notice they were listing my items a % of what you can easily sell on other platforms, so I decided to cancel the transactions.
They sent the boxes back, but one was lost in transit. It shows in the tracking number, the shipping company told me the shipper (the Real Real) needs to contact them, it's been since September 2022, and I was never refunded.

Beware, it is not a serious company. You get spams to send your luxury items, but they loose them and don't take responsibility. I lost thousands of dollars because of it.

Lots of fun to shop here, and the product quality is good. They don't answer questions about the condition of items quickly, so sometimes you have to take a risk with a non-returnable item if you don't want to lose it to another bidder. Best selection of vintage bags and gowns.

All of my transactions with The RealReal have been very straightforward and smooth. I have bought wonderful pieces for myself and my mother with zero hassles, and every item arrives at my doorstep exactly as advertised on their website. 5/5, will continue to shop here!

So I have two issues, the shoes I purchased were listed as a size 6, but they are a 6.5 I contacted RealReal immediately and they still have not responded

The other is the annoying 15 minute cart limit. So unless you can figure out everything you want in 15 minutes, don't bother. They really need to do something about this, it is not customer friendly.
