The Real Real has so many choices and such great sales. I feel as if I'm shopping in some very special place, as I peruse the rare and unusual jewelry, clothing, shoes, home and art items.
My assigned reps for selling have been very kind and helpful!

I bought a lovely pair of Chanel flats and unfortunately they were too big for me. I'm on the wait list for a smaller size, which I think is a great idea. The purchase and return experience was top notch and I will definitely shop here again!

Every time I bought something from the RealReal has been a great experience. I own the most beautiful shoes thanks to this store. Good quality, the best brands that can fit any budget. My orders arrived very fast. It's my favorite place to shop!

This is the 2nd time I've ordered in a row where the item size does NOT match the description! I have now wasted $24 on shipping for items that don't fit! I purchased based off the description posted. For example I ordered Frye boots. It was listed as 8.5 but I received 6.5! The size was difficult to read but seriously just hold them up to another 8.5 and you can see how small they are!

My order came in the nick of time after FedEx randomly updated the shipping information last minute. If you request a return a shipping label is provided; if you use it they deduct $11.95 from your refund. I feel like TheRealReal is going to be left in the dust if they're not careful. Most online shopping sites offer perks like free 2 day express shipping and free returns, and on top of that you get new stuff. Another thing I noticed is that the deals on site aren't THAT amazing. I suppose if you get lucky enough to find something new with tags (that's real!) it's worth it. Otherwise, it's not worth the hassle of shipping and returns. Now I'm just waiting to see if they refund me on time or at all...

We had an issue, Where two charges were showing up and Jamillah B, was swift in making sure she helped us get rid of the extra charge. She actually took the time to email me back and let me know everything was done. Thanks!

Love searching the site for interesting deals and finds. Descriptions are accurate, and high end jewelry is professionally and reliably appraised. Service is excellent. Whenever I've had a problem, TRR has been very accommodating.

Items are of great value (often), but only buy if you are 100% sure you want it, its teh right size and willing to keep it no matter what. They charge for shipping both ways, even if item is damaged, they offer a minor discount or site credit (only if you push), even items that are listed as eligible for return, they will find an excuse to not give you a refund and instead offer site credit, which expires after a while with no warning, pouff your money is gone, and the answer is a rephrasing of "tough luck, you should have paid attention)

This was my first time ordering from their site. I was a little put off by all the negative reviews I had read. But I had found an Alice + Olivia skirt that after all the promo codes would only be $35 so I figured I didn't have much to lose if it didn't work out. It arrived in 2 days and it's perfect. I couldn't be happier.

I bought many items some of them couldn't not be returned, but consignment was not possible because the goods were delivered to Hong Kong. No information was provided on the website. Very disappointing experience

Great boots by Jimmy Choo in near perfect condition, and very nice Ralph Lauren ankle boots in excellent shape as well. Priced to taunt the frugal buyer. Gotta have them, and and these prices, I can. Hi, I purchased a pair of jeans which were used and in great condition, except they smelled horrible. Like perfume and cigarettes. It's taken multiple washes and soaking to get rid of the smell. It's clear the jeans were not steamed or cleaned before I received them.

The downside to buying luxury bags on this site is that most items are final sale and not returnable yet the photos and item descriptions fail to show or state flaws of the bag. For example I purchased a vintage Chanel medium flap and when I received it I saw that the strap of the bag had been adjusted. The leather does not thread through the entire length of the metal chain. This was not disclosed in the written description nor pictured. Things such as this does greatly affect the value of the bag. For a $4100 (before tax) bag that is NOT RETURNABLE you would think they would take more care to disclose all flaws and photograph more detailed photos. Because of this I am very weary of making purchases from this site and would rather pay a bit more on other resale sites that don't charge me shipping fees and have return options on their items.

I have never ordered anything from TRR that has not arrived perfectly! I wish their shipping charges would not be so high especially when the item purchased Is very small item. One more thing, it is taking a very long time to receive orders. Otherwise, I do love doing business with TRR.

The mark of a good company is not what happens when things go well but when they go wrong and The Real Real didn't do well. Every item clearly isn't checked as my "excellent condition" dolce and gabbana handbag came with a rip by the zip which you honestly can't miss if you even glanced at it. I was offered free return or $20 off my next order. Now not sure whether these quality brands are being checked or whether they aren't and if they aren't how do you know if it's a fake?

I have made 3 purchases from TRR over the years. Knowing that they are previously owned, I look through the description very carefully and only buy if it says "in excellent condition". So aging, color fading, creases are understandable, but fallen buttons on a coat, irremovable stain on a dress, stains and streaks around collar and sleeve, really? In the case of the dress, the stain was around the knee, and i didn't discover it until the return period had passed... oh well.

I got this as a gift for my Mom. She loves designer bags, but they are usually out of budget. So was happy to get her something for a great price!
The bag is perfect for her. She loves bags that have 3 different compartments and the middle zipper! And loves how cute it is. Would totally bag more stuff from here when I can. Was so happy to get her something we normally can't have.

I contacted therealreal because the measurements of a dress I bought/received were very different from those provided online. There was no size or brand label (which is fine but this wasn't stated on the site) but the measurements provided indicated exactly my size. In fact the dress was at least 3 inches larger than that in bust and waist. Since there is a side zip and lining this makes it difficult to alter. Anyway, I was provided with $20 credit, which isn't bad; it's just that this does not cover a tailor's alteration cost.

I consigned with them and was scammed. I sent in several items new w tags that then promised to sell at a certain price point, they sold the items for pennies and never paid me my commissions. I keep getting the run around with customer service. I was also promised a bonus for giving them so many items and they failed to provide it. The company is deceitful and unethical. The sales rep just want to make their quotas so they don't care about how much your items are priced at. I would be embarrassed to work here and represent such a unethical brand. I would advise not to consign here because it's just one big LIE and you will not be paid or compensated. Illegal and unethical company

I in correctly assumed that returns would include postage. They don't. Of a aud $800 purchase I needed to return $280 as the suit and shoes were too small. Cost to send is aud$80 + your usd $11 to process is unreasonable.
I will try to resell these items myself in Australia and won't buy clothes or shoes again for your site.

I purchased e-gift cards which over 24 hours later I still haven't received them. No one answers in their customer service. The phone re-routes you to their chat option and hangs up. I have yet to get a hold of someone to get my money (e-gift cards). This is absolutely a disgrace and a scam.

I have purchased 6 items in several separate transactions. In all but 2 I was very satisfied. One scarf appeared very different than the diescription. One scarf I returned because it was in such bad condition. Their customer service has been very good. However their shipping prices are way too much and they give you very little time to shop
For more than one item at a time so that you can bundle your shipping. Their descriptions are not always accurate. They could do a more detailed job there. Scarves were shipped wrinkled and had to be ironed. They could do a better job with presentation. I won't consign after reading all the negative reviews. I had wanted to purchase an LV bag but won't now after reading all the reviews about the sale of fakes here.

I wrote a negative review a while ago, but I can now update by saying that I received three fake items in the course of a week. FAKES. They were so obviously fake that I can't believe that they even offered them. And, I guarantee that when I return them, they will again offer them for sale until someone not knowledgeable enough buys it. I know this because I once got a fake and the next thing I noticed it was being offered again. This is a scam operation. Thumbs down.
