Don't bother working with them! They are useless and using bots and not qualified leads that request a job and want to pay 50 bucks while some projects are minimum $500-750. No customer service total bs and you will lose loads of money on "leads" as they call them but it's just fake accounts that show some sort of activity.
If you are a reputable business, don't count on Thumbtack to make you money.
The customers on that site only want cheap labor, NOT licensed cotractors. You waste your time driving around to give free estimates for the only to pick some joe-schmoe with no license who will do the job for a few hundred bucks.

We hired Mr Dannheiser to photograph our family at a reunion we had for nearly 100 family members. We wanted portraits, both individually and a group family photograph.
The first indication that we had picked the right person was his early arrival for the day. Once we had an opportunity to start the picture taking, he had the group well under control. He worked speedily and was very engaging with all our family members, even a couple cantankerous uncles, who he had laughing in only a few moments.
After an hours and a half, the group photo was ready to be taken and he worked quickly and with a great attitude to position everyone and the final product is spectacular.
Thank you Mr Dannheiser for creating the most memorable aspect of our reunion. We will call you again!

Bill with key painting came out gave us a quote on our exterior we accepted and within no time the crew of Key painting was on the job and they performed the job in good workmenship manner, we've already hired them again for our interior and the team at Key painting are doing a great job, we would definitely refer them to friends and family. Bill has been a great help picking out paint colors and accent colors for our family, great rooms he also performed a mold abatement job at our summer home in Alexander bay New York, it's been a wonderful experience working with Bill. A consumer, Teresa, used thumbtack to hire me for wedding photography. Teresa the consumer, did not contact me to tell me she wanted to hire me. Therefore, her date was still available. I did not send Teresa a contract nor did she pay me a deposit because there was no communication about her hiring me. Teresa called me 2 weeks before the wedding and sadly I had already booked a wedding for her date. Teresa left a nasty one-star review about me. Thumbtack would not do anything about this. Teresa even said that Thumbtack was at fault.

Last year I hired Alln1Services for painting and was very pleased with the job. I recently hired them again to pressure wash our driveway, sidewalk, porch, whole house, concrete around the pool, and the fence. I can sum it up in three words: JOB WELL DONE! Again, very professional and efficient, arrived on time, and did a fantastic job. AND at a very reasonable price! I will continue to use this company for many more jobs.

I used Thumbtack successfully for over 2 years. In 2017 they switched to a new quoting method. After seeing a major slowdown in my business I tested Thumbtacks new method. If failed to send my information to potential customers even though I specifically signed up for that service. I asked for a refund and they provided a partial refund. Beware of Thumbtack. You may want to look for another service

I have been a member of thumbtack for over a year now. I have bid on a lot of jobs that I did not get. But, and this is a big but, the ones that I did get paid for all that I did not plus led to referrals. Thumbtack is the only lead service that I have tried that truly works. Thank you Thumbtack. You get the leads and it is up to us at business owners to decide which ones to bid on and how to convert them into paying clients. I am still a loyal thumbtack client and have told others about you. It is a win, win for me and my new clients!

I have had contact with the attorney general's office in my state due to the overcharges and drafting of my bank account at their leisure. I have had taken from my account the total of $414.78 for the time of 08-12-19 to 09-12-19. Out pf this amount I received one job and the ones I had bid were minimal. They are a rip-off. Do not give them your banking information. Do not use Thumbtack.

Called Adam from Gasteratos Construction. Came in and completed the job in a timely manner. This was the first time I used Adam and I highly recommend him. This past year had a horrible experience with a certain contractor and I was afraid, but thank God Adam was a professional and experienced in the work he did in my home. My son used him a few days ago and recommended Adam to me. Very thankful and will definitely call him again. After he completed the job, he cleaned up after himself which that was great. I didn't have to lift a finger!

Thumtack will take your money for fake leads and customer service will never give your money back, disgusting way of doing business. And now they overcharging for leads like homeadvisor but they send it to 15 different contractors!?!?! They will keep bugging you with leads out of the state or 5 hours away from your location its $#*!ty leads also Make no sense who will travel to another state to paint a small bathroom its bulli$#*!.
Save your money and time and stay away.

David Gomez was a very good "handyman". He showed up on time and completed our jobs. He built steps, repaired drywall, fixed doors that were sticking and was reliable. Would recommend him and I would use him again.

I don't believe any of the leads are legitimate. I believe any of the leads are for real. You really don't know. Any Joe Schmo can be behind a computer saying that they need your services and it could be all fake people. Yet all of these jobs just keep popping up, while they continue to take my money and no one is reaching out. It is a complete total and utter scam! I don't recommend anyone to use the site!

I contacted At The top Roofing, For a roof repair and he came gave me a quote. And we had him come to do the repair. He was here at the time he said and did the work was neat and inspected the whole roof.We found out the reason for the leak. The whole roof never stuck down. He was in and out of here in 30 min. For the repair. We had him come back and replace the whole roof and he gave use a price and a time table. He was here when he said he would and it took the 8 hours he said it would take, and he was neat with the job and the clean up. I think he did a great job it is the first time in my 58 years that I have hired someone and they did what they said they would do. At the price they quoted and I would hire he again for anything that he is able to do for me. Thanks At The Top Roofing for a great Job. Will Be in touch for my next project.

This crew did a great job. Due to the rain and other factors, they worked through it all and finished the job. Did a good job of cleanup. One needs to be flexible due to the distance they are traveling to get to the Charlotte and surrounding areas.

Mike Ferla LLC does all the repairs for my homes on the market. He does plumbing, painting, carpentry. Always on time and shows up and completes all jobs in a short period of time. Cindy Fritz made a commitment to come back & clean my apt.@ the end of July so I could recover my deposit & I've called her twice in the last 72 hrs.to confirm our appt.& she has not responded. I have a backup though, so I will be covered for my move-out. You should have called me to say you couldn't make it. That would be the right thing to do Cindy Fritz. You blew it!

They changed how they notify you for leads.
They automatically take money now even if you don't want it.
They do not call you when you send emais, text requesting to dispute charges.
I canceled my account right a way. Horrible, terrible, I loath this company..

I have been using thumbtack for about a year now. It's a waste of money. The pros pay for everything and clients don't. Clients don't hire or intend to hire and the pro has to pay for that. It's not fair and should charge clients to post their listing and charge pros only if hired.
