This service was just the worst. My resume writer butchered my resume, just used a mishmash of words with poor grammar. The bullets he wrote also made no sense. They were just a cut and paste of phrases from my original resume except after the word mish mash, they made no sense. Customer service is awful and refused to refund me anything although the resume and cover letter I got were nonsensical. STAY AWAY. They also aggressively try to take down negative reviews from TrustPilot and other sites to artificially seem like a high rated business.

Creating a resume has been a challenge for me ever since. After finally deciding to get help creating my resume, TopResume did not disappoint. I was skeptical at first that they'll create an impressive resume out of the draft that I sent. Thank you so much for your help. I now have a resume that will potentially land me a great job in my career. Special thanks to the executive writer that worked with me. Also, communicating with my writer was easy and the response time was prompt that's why we finished the work right before the deadline.

The lack of communication when I made email requests to my writer was astounding. Not only were simple requests to my questionable first draft completed ignored (how hard is it to change a font?!), I felt they did not really understand my field. Much of my resume felt cut-and-pasted. I also called - CONSTANTLY - asking for more information only to be told lies (that the writers work weekends and that included 2-day turn arounds on Saturday or Sunday. Of course, they backtracked when I asked again on Monday. I told them to pull the call so they could eat their own words). Days, sometimes up to 4, would go by without any response from my writer. When I asked if I could speak with her, explaining we could wrap all this up in 15 minutes over a phone call, I was told it would be another $50.00. Top Resume is like the date from hell. They expect you to keep throwing money at them to get them to shut up. Of course, they also sent me an email stating my file was closed even before the end of the day it was actually going to close, thereby cutting off any promised time to make changes - not that I was going to. This company is a joke.

I had bought the services of writing my resume and linked in profile from TopResume and what happened after is really amazed me and made me wonder how such company still in business! First i have to followup with them to get my first resume draft and after they finished, i waited for my linked in profile from them and it turns out it is mostly a copy and paste from your resume after adding letter 'I'! I told them it is no acceptable but they never replied to me and when i got fed up I called them and their customer service agent said that the order is closed and basically take whatever we gave you!

Do your research. I wasn't as lucky as some. I called before placing my order to ensure their writers had worked with individuals in the Oil & Gas industry. When I received my first draft it looked like a cut and paste of the resume I submitted for review.

To get a better idea of what you'll receive look at some of the Resume examples on the bottom of the TopResume web page. The template used is generic and they shovel your information in where it seems to fit. Then its up to you to provide feed back over and over again with the hope you'll finally receive a resume specifically tailored for you. Remember, at the end of the review process you will have done all the work. What a great marketing twist.

My writer (Adel R.) was clueless about the Oil and Gas Industry most likely from India. No legal address for TopResume another big red flag. When they offer you 30% of their services there's a reason for it. I purchased the Executive Priority package and never received the LinkedIn re-write. Shame on me

There are several good Resume writing services out there, this isn't one of them. Do your research!

I felt I was listened to by my writer who did a great job weaving together the various aspects of my skill set. She was patient and kind. I was left with a professional resume that could pass the ATS filters, yet be modified for any job I applied for. The cover letter can also be edited to reflect the job applied for and gave a little bit more info about me and what I have to offer. As I have a background in art and design, this writer was able to write about that world with no awkwardness whatsoever and hilighted better than I could myself, just what it was that made my work special. I can't thank her enough.
