I took 1 train to Liverpool street station the Elisabeth line to Whitechapel station. Cex is just next to exit of the tube.
I do know that they have a minidisplayport to hdmi adapter in stock is still available for collection.
4.pounds the cost i spent 4.60 in transport.
It was 6.10 pm till 625ish
4 sale assistants couldn't find the part.
One of them just come out in the shop and he started to open all the drawers in and out picking here and there little bags not even reading the labels...he was asking me is this?
Is that is this its that?

End of tge story i went home empty hands and 5 pounds lighter...

I had been shopping around for a decently priced graphics card to use in my pc, i finally settled on a gtx 980ti. After waiting a week for my card i put it in my pc and made sure everything thing was working... but my pc didnt post. After a couple more trys I smelt burning coming from my PC. The card was on fire. I turned off my pc and put out the fire before discovering a slightly gooey substance on the motherboard of the card. I realised someone tryed severley overclocking the card and when it came close to failing, they must have sold it. Dont believe the crap about them testing everything works before sending it out... they dont.

Awful. Sent wrong disc. Fair enough. Used my time to print the return stuff. Great. But no reply given to me, just refunded when i was told the correct disc would be sent out once returned. Like i wasent worth their time

So is that what you do? Send special edition boxes but just insert any discs you please and hope they dont notice and be all nicey nice but once you issue your redund thats it sorted when you didnt even request it, well i hope you dont plan on sending wrong disc and correct box to some other victum. Would not surprise me. DO NOT USE ONLINE. YOU ARE JUST A NUMBER WITH £ NEXT TO IT.

My 13 year old step son wanted to sell a couple of games to raise a few quid. However, due to lockdown he has had to send them in via post. I explained that he should send it via signed and recorded delivery for peace of mind but being an impatient 13 year old year he couldn't wait a day for me to go to post office with them so decided to send them right away by normal post.
That was 3 weeks ago and we haven't heard a thing from them. The address was wrote out perfect and had 3 1st class stamps on it and only weighed about 70 grams. (He weighed to check it was within postal regs) obviously it could of got lost in the post but the chances are that it made it there but because it wasn't a recorded delivery someone has decided to instead steal it.
Stealing from a 13 year old child - unbelievable
MAKE SURE ALL ITEMS ARE SENT VIA SIGNED AND RECORDED DELIVERY! ******* - thats the order ID if anyone from cex is reading this and cares enough to investigate for my step son. If so, i thank you.

Don't use CeX
January 30, 2019

The staff were friendly but the work done on my PS4 I took in there for repair is awful. They told me I should have it back in about 10 days but it took that long to leave the shop for the repair centre. I had to go in after a week of giving it to them to ask why nothing had happened. That was the second time I had to go back. The first time was because the staff member who originally served me forgot to give me a form that they needed. It finally came back to the shop unrepaired which I could have lived with if it had not been in worse condition than it was before. There was no problem with the gameplay before sending it off jut the picture quality. Now they've put it in safe mode and it won't even work enough to let me do anything about it. I can't get on it to get my game data off because they somehow made it worse than it already was. Thankfully they didn't charge me for it but I lost three and a half weeks waiting for it back. If I had known it was a lost cause beforehand I wouldn't have bothered. If I have any more problems with my PS4 or computer in the future then I would not bring it here. I would even travel further away just to get the problem fixed.

Warranty non existent

Brought a Samsung GALAXY S4 for £105 in May 2018, hardly used the phone as it was for work. In August 2018 the phone then stated out of the blue that it had no sim. The sim card was in place and hadn't been touched. I took the phone back to the CEX shop in Guildford Surrey where i purchased it as it had a 24 month warranty. They took the phone and sent me away for 40 minutes while they checked it. When i came back they said the warranty was void as there was a tiny crack in the rear external case of the phone. I explained that this has nothing to do with the Sim card not registering and then they showed me some bent pins where the sim card goes and said that i have bent the pins and that is why it doesn't work. I was furious as i had not bent the pins, I hadn't touched the sim card - why would I? Anyway the store manager basically called me a liar and said the phone will not be covered as it is accidental damage. There is no customer service phone number to contact CEX, i will never use this company again, this is the one and only experience that i have had with them.

I HEAR CUSTOMERS OF CEX THAT HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF ARE TALKING ABOUT GLUING CEX STORES BARREL LOCKS WITH LOCTITE GLUE THAT IS AVAILABLE IN THE POUND SHOP!. I HEAR THIS GLUE SEALS BARREL LOCKS SOLID IN SECONDS!. I HEAR IF THEY TRIED TO OPEN THE SHUTTERS TO THE STORES IN THE MORNING THEY COULDN'T AS THE BARREL LOCKS WOULD BE GLUED SOLID & THEY WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO OPEN THE STORE!. I WONDER WHAT IT WOULD BE LIKE IF ALL THE PEOPLE CEX HAS RIPPED OFF & STOLE FROM ALL OVER THE COUNTRY STARTED GLUING THEIR STORES BARREL LOCKS WITH LOCTITE. EVERY NIGHT. I HEAR CUSTOMERS WHO HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF BY CEX IN THE PAST ARE TALKING ABOUT STARTING A CAMPAIGN TO. RUN CEX OUT OF TOWN. POWER TO THE PEOPLE!.

Complete scam

Right, I took an Oppo find n2 flip into store, in mint condition, and I mean mint condition. I said to the dappy looking sales guy, can it be graded before I trade it in, as there was £100 difference between A&B grades. After 10 minutes of him trying to find anything in the phone to knock it down to a B grade, he said give me a sec, and went to show his tester, who to be honest walks and talks, like he left NASA to work at cex, as there testing bit is behind the counter out of site, dappy came back 4 minutes later, saying there was a mark on the speaker, so it would be a B grade, I looked at what he was talking about, and there was a small bit of dust, where the case had been. I literally blew this off, and showed him again, but he said, as a mark was picked up in first inspection, it would still be an B grade. I said don't worry about it, and started to pack the phone back in the box, he muttered something under his breath, so I said. They would buy it as a B grade, then sell it as an A,
I will never enter a CEX store again, fully of idiots, who think there brain surgeons when it comes to electronics

Cheeky bastards

They say you get items for cheap yet there cheeky $#*!s only buying a PS4 for £48 and then selling for £185 what's that $#*! about, yet the sell a ps5 controller for only £2 more than a USED PS4 controller
They really need to sort there $#*! out before they go bust
