The primary mission of this company seems to be taking your money without any intention of returning it. Here's what happened in my case:
I urgently needed to book an entire apartment for the same day. They responded with an alternative option from the same host at the same price. I clicked "Book" directly from the email. Immediately, they charged me €932.00 (€252.00 - is a servive fee).
When I checked my booking on their site, I discovered that I had actually booked just a single room in a three-room apartment shared with students – at the same price as the whole apartment! This was completely unsuitable as I was planning to stay with my wife and did not need a shared space.
Within 10 minutes, I contacted their support team. After some back and forth, they redirected me to another department via email, requiring me to explain everything from scratch, wasting valuable time on the same day I was supposed to check in.
Their final response was, "We are really sorry, but you clicked the button, so we can't help you or return your money." This left us €932.00 out of pocket and forced my wife and me to share an apartment with students, including all shared spaces.
It's incredibly frustrating and misleading to request the whole apartment and had a proposition to book an alternative with same price but just a room and end up with just a room with a same price, especially when they refuse to help refund the money.
I've booked a room via uniplaces and when I went to move in and i was disappointed to see that the room and the whole place was so filthy so i just walked out and complaint uniplaces about that situation immediately. However they refused to refund or relocate me somewhere! And stole my money (my rent and their fee). They forget that - God does exist! Until how long will they digest that money!

I rented a room in Milan, Lorenzo Bartolini, by uniplaces and the owner was trustable. At the end she refused to give me back my deposit. I didn't cause any damages or anything. They also didn't help me at all. It's just wasting money. Never trust.
I booked a room two or three month before my exchange in Porto on their website. They confirmed that I got the room and two weeks before my flight to Porto they declined my booking. They didn't help me just offered me a discount. So I booked again on their website and they confirmed it. Big mistake... two days before my flight they declined again and I needed to fly to Porto without a room and needed to pay extra money for a Hotel and had to get a more expensive room. They don't check their landlords. You can have luck when you book the room from a good landlord, but when the landlord wants to scam you, uniplaces will do nothing and will even offer the scamy room again on their website...

I have a really bad experience about renting a home in milan by them. The owner refuses to pay me back my deposit. When I informed them, they just sent an email to the owner for more information and the owner even didn't reply them. But they still have the house advertisement on their website. I don't recommend it. Basically, they don't fix your problem if you face any.

Don´t trust Uniplaces! I booked what looked like a beautiful, clean little flat with a trusted landlord for 3 months in Porto. When I arrived, I realized the apartment had not been properly cleaned, there were hairs all around the apartment, the "outside area" that they advertised was completely covered in algae (so much so I nearly slipped & fell) and the cherry on top - bed bugs! I contacted Uniplaces within the first 24 hours & was told the complaints I had did not entitle me to cancel my stay & receive my money back. If bed bugs are not enough reason for compensation, I don´t want to imagine what they do consider valid. Avoid them at all costs if you value your health & your money. They refuse to take responsibility & they don´t have any regard for their customers.
One of the worst unethical companies that I have ever dealt with in my 38 years on this planet. I told them that I had a medical emergency and that I needed to cancel - 60 days in advance. I provided solid evidence by a doctor from my country, but it was "invalid". Was this because it was from a middle eastern country? A very racist behavior that's keeping a disgusting taste in my mouth. Uniplaces is trying to scam and until now I have not seen my money back. I will do everything in my power to expose this company to regulators in the UK, the EU and wherever they operate. I will make sure that media cover their unethical practices until this company revisits its consumer laws and hire an ethical committee to help them to stop exploiting people or shut its doors once and for all to keep the public safe.

Avoid this company. Pay more if needed. They do not have a number to contact them. Their customer service is non-existent. If you want to lose your money and fall into a scam and money trap, deal with them.

I tried to cancel my stay 60 days in advance due to Illness/ future surgery and yet Uniplaces is still refusing to give me back my money. Incredibly exploitative without any ethics or moral compass to abide by. Greedy corporate practices that needs to be stoppped.
$1,183.96 was taken out of my account and everything seemed as though my reservation was going ahead, until the day before I moved, when the host decided to cancel the booking, claiming he hasn't lived there for a year. If I don't get all of my money back, I will go to the UK small claims court.

Sent the amount of money to their bank as the landlord asked me then they said If your payment is approved within 36 hours, i will receive an email confirming that me payment is approved and they will send the key of the apartment by post to me address but that's dose not happen and its already 2 week after me payment done, i wrote them an email but there's no replay from their side. I know that is my problem cause i found bad reputation of this company on the network but the landlord convinced me that every things will be secured and i believed what the company said about them self on their website

They only show good customer support until you book with them. After moving to the apartment I found out that the apartment was not as advertised, I contacted them the second day to cancel it but they did not show any support, the 24 hrs guarantee period is not correct. Then, I requested to check out early (after 2 months) but the landlord kept part of the deposit with him, and I have contacted uniplaces then but still they did not help me.
My experience has been terrible, so far I consider it to be the worst travel platform. I strongly recommend avoiding hiring! Information about properties is sparse and unverified. The platform charges very high fees supposedly for mediation services, but, in practice, landlords can do whatever they want with tenants, placing them in delicate, unsafe, unethical, and illegal situations. Even reporting the problems I have been having with the platform, I am still waiting for some reasonable mediation. Don't use it!

Uniplaces not only tried to steal over 1000 dollars from me, they let the landlady steal half a month's rent because I didn't complain within 24 hours. So if the lady steals money after two weeks, then you're out of luck. Quite horrible experience, not worth the risk.
This company scams you out of money whenever they get the chance, and then ignores your complaints. Also, charges astronomical rent prices or the areas that the apartments are by trying to take advantage of foreigners. Look into booking locally. I had a terrible experience and would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. As far as I'm concerned, they owe me more than $1,000.

Worst experience I've ever had with any company ever. Landlord kicked me out of the apartment with less than 24 hours notice and stole my
Belongings. When I told Uniplaces, they did nothing about it. Their email "customer care" is a disgrace- Catarina, the agent assigned to my case, took several days to reply to emails and would not even let me write a review of the property- she told me there's a "technical glitch" and I have to wait for the engineering team to fix it. Two weeks later they have still not fixed this "glitch". Do not give these frauds a penny. You'd be better off sleeping on the street.

I had rented an apartment in Lisbon 2019 via Uniplaces - the apartment was shared. What was not apparent is that there were some kind of insects in my room - the caretaker sprayed it and told me to air it out for a couple of hours. I moved to another apartment, the landlord kept the rent of the month (which you can argue about) but on top as well the deposit of 400 Euros. Argument: we can do whatever we want.
Uniplaces stated that they do not get involved so the money was lost. Ah, yes, there are no rental contracts in Lisbon, so you have no chance to get your money back.
Uniplaces should at least have blacklisted the real estate broker handling the apartment- they did not do that, they kept completely out of it.

I was checked in into a room with bed bugs. At first, uniplaces asked me to attach photos/videos as proof, and so I did. Then they say they contacted the landlord and said that he has a solution - disinfection. It was to be the 5th disinfection in that flat already, so I knew it is not gonna help (now I already know from the tenants there that it didn't help). So I said I am moving out cause it is impossible to sleep there. Their response was that the landlord has found a solution and they cannot return teh deposit money. So I lost my 460 euros for nothing! It was a terrible experience with Uniplaces and their collaboration with Portuguese Quarto e Quarto company. I am so disappointed.

I booked a room with uniplaces in Madrid which had an ensuite. As soon as I booked i realised the link no longer worked and it took me to a slightly different page that did not have the same bedroom details as I booked. I waited for the contract which arrived 3 days later and realised it did not have the right bedroom details again, so tried to cancel - but it was after 24 hours of booking which is ridiculous as they lied on their website and made me pay for a room that doesn't match the description, so I have lost £1500. Now uniplaces are not responding to me at all, so I would highly recommend avoiding this website at all costs! They are awful I can't believe people exist to be horrible in this world- students, workers and young professionals should avoid too.

Even if their propaganda say they are super safe and can redound when you have problems with the accommodations! Total false propaganda! Simply awful! I used Uniplaces to find my house in France and, at first, I was a bit afraid but once I spoke with Maria everything went smoothly. I got rejected once but Maria sent me an option right away and the second time I was accepted with no problems.

I booked a room on Uniplace (ID *******) in September 2021.
I paid 843 euros, 650€ corresponding to the first month of rent and 193€ for service fees.
I receive a confirmation email saying you are moving on this date, you will have to pay one month deposit and including the details of my landlord.
Then, I spoke with the landlord on WhatsApp and he asked me to pay him 2 months' rent up-front to get this room and told me that this wasn't negotiable.
I told him that it was not specified in the ad and I would prefer to cancel my booking. He replied to me « There are many things which are not described in the advertising »...
So i contacted the Uniplaces « support » by email and via their website it took sometime for them to reply but at the end they solved my problem.
