Love their huge selection of Vans & Converse. Dig their sweats and the store is always having a sale. What's not to like? I see a lot of unhappy peeps on this. I don't get why they're so angry? If you've got a problem, then just contact them. If it's still leading to no where, contact your credit card bank. If everyone were forced to work in retail, they'll all be a tad more understanding and empathetic. No one's perfect & mistakes do happen. Be more human. Getting back, Urban's totally the place to go if you want trendy styles. Perfect place for me & my gf to go. We just split into our individual sections and meet up in the Home section. Shopping online is super easy too. Love Urban.
The company whose business model is to screw up your order and/or account and be so lazy, indifferent, and/or incompetent so as to do absolutely nothing to rectify anything and literally block customers from ever purchasing again, because they can't be bothered to fix their mistakes. Good, if you're looking to reserve a date in bankruptcy court, I guess. Lol. Shop Free people, Urban Outfitters, & Anthropologie at your own risk. And once their regular abysmal customer service ignores you, you'll be blocked by their corporate level staff if you attempt to contact them. An online shopping nightmare. Ugh.
Great store. They don't have such a great options as Nastygal or ASOS for example, but still lots of good items.
I'm a client since 05/25/2012 and I've had 12 orders in this period.
Once they sent me an item in a wrong color (a pair of glasses). I emailed them about and they quickly solved the problem giving me a full refund with no need to return the item because its value was under $50.00.
Problems happen but me, personally think the most important is the behavior of the store under a problem. So we can see the real store.
I chose to write an email, only because of my online experience. (In store staff, and availability is always great)
(All my praise goes to in store employees, especially located in Millenia mall, sweetest genuine people who really do help and don't make checking out feel like just a transacation)
On a different note, my experience with customer support (over the phone) was so unprofessional that I almost just wanted a refund. I don't recommend online shopping here whatsoever just in case of any mishaps.
This was by far, the worst customer experience ever. Tried x3 to reach customer service but couldn't wait more then 20 minutes. Today I decided I'd have to wait for however long it took as Christmas is quickly approaching... waited 30 minutes and asked for a supervisor immediately. All this for a gift card. Never again.
Their ordering system is terrible. I have twice tried to order and both times been extremely disappointed. NB the second time I was trying to use the discount code I got from the disaster the first order was.
In both cases the customer service department has not given 'a $#*!' and just apologized and hoped I would not make a deal of it.
Nothing has been pleasant and I recommend Urban Outfitters to no one.
I placed an order in November 2017. Two holds for total amount were placed on my card, and then the actual charge - so the money was taken out of my bank account a total of 3 times! Then later refunded twice. And then out of nowhere in February 2018, months after I paid for and received my order, I received a new charge. I could not figure it out and customer service told me it was for this November order. They stopped returning emails and everyone says call this other number (back and forth). Had to go to bank and report for fraudulent charge and cancel my debit card.
I ordered a gift for my daughter for Christmas. It arrived today in packaging with Urban Outfitters written all over it. I get the need to advertise your brand but during the holidays? Could they be a little discreet? Sephora did the same thing last year and I am happy to say they listened to customers and changed their packaging. I contacted UO to mention that they should change their packaging during the holiday season. I was nice (though pissed) and they were somewhat dismissive. I wasn't looking for anything but acknowledgement. Like maybe they understood and will put it in the notes. Nope. Nothing. Just an ok. Customer service is useless. This is what she asked for however, I will be returning my daughter's gift and I will get her something else. I do not plan to shop with UO again.
Tip for consumers:
Don't order gifts online if they are to be a surprise.

Unsure if I am keeping the order
I ordered a pair of jeans from them, they arrived in the mail much later then they said they would. Turns out they didn't fit right, so I returned them and requested to get a pair of shorts instead that were the same exact price as the jeans, this was 7 months ago, and I still haven't received my shorts or money back after emailing and calling this bullsh*t company hundreds of times. Overall terrible service, they just lost yet another customer.
I placed an online order, promptly received an email confirming, followed by another email stating that my order was canceled. When I telephoned customer service, I was given the runaround about having bad credit with the company, etc., etc. I had NEVER ordered from this company before. Because my teen really wanted the item, I asked my friend to place the order, and guess what? The same thing happened to him. There are many other stores that offer cool merchandise. Urban Outfitters is worthless.
I recently got a good deal on a pair of shoes. So I purchased 20 of them. They processed my order for 3 days to cancel it for no reason. Their explanation was that the price is too low and they can't sell it to me for that price. They later banned me from purchasing anything on their site with no explanation. Don't waste your time with then they suck!
My 12 year old daughter and her friend visited the Nottingham store earlier today.
She had £100.00 in cash to spend.
They didn't understand the changing room policy (they are 12 after all) and were abused by the shop assistant.
The shop assistant then decided to exacerbate his obnoxious behaviour by calling my daughter a tramp.
When my wife complained to the store the manageress couldn't have made it clearer she didn't give a dam.
If I could I'd have awarded NO stars.
Urban Outfitters, they're just the worst.
Tip for consumers:
Don't let the shop assistants near your kids.

None, my daughter fled the store.
Usually i love urban outfitters, they have a variety of clothes and other items that i'm often drawn to. But this is the first and last time i have ordered from them online. My mom ordered me a few items online for christmas. There was a bed set, which won't make it here until march and a hoodie. The hoodie was a champion one, which i've been wanting for a while now. I typically wear a small and sometimes a medium, depending on the item. I decided to size up with this, so it would be a bit oversized, and picked medium when putting it on my wish list. They sent an extra large. It would be one thing if they sent a small or a large, but an extra large is two sizes up from what i ordered and way too big for me to wear. It just looks stupid on me. As far as i'm concerned, they will do nothing to fix this. They have a no exchange policy (which i was unaware of, before this situation) and take $5 from you when you return an item. I would not recommend shopping from them online, at all.
The shoes I ordered ran half a size too small so the next day after having received them, I mailed them back for an exchange using the pre-paid shipping label included with my order. It has now been 3 weeks and 2 days and no sign of the new shoes. I contacted customer service about two weeks in and was told that I should receive an email once my return is processed and the exchange is shipped. No email. No shoes. I'm leaving for a 3-week trip tomorrow, and if I knew that I would not get the shoes before I left, I just would have asked for a refund. I sent a second email to customer service 3 days ago. No response! This company is terribly UNPROFESSIONAL.
I ordered my comforter and pillow case set with standard shipping and I received them two days before the minimum expected arrival date! They're in the wash right now and hopefully will soften up a bit, but overall the shipping was great and I hope the product is, too!
I ordered from the US website instead of Canadian website by mistake and they basically told me too bad when I asked if I can return the items. What company these days don't accept returns? Absolute joke of a company who couldn't care less about their customers. Never will order from them again but I'm sure they don't care.
There's no way to make ANY adjustments to your order after it was placed and no one will help you. I placed an order and it was confirmed but then hours later they emailed me saying I needed an authorization from my bank? I can't reach my bank because they are busy dealing with many calls during this pandemic. I have no choice but to cancel my order and one of the items I ordered are now out of stock and I can't get it anymore. NEVER shopping here again, they are not flexible or helpful at all.
I have returned goods and two weeks later haven't received a refund. I have emailed and keep getting the same response of 'our IT system is down'. Unacceptable and frustrating that I can't speak to someone directly - I have to keep emailing. Will never order from them again.
I have given 1 star as this site wouldn't let me submit my comment without rating - given the choice, I would rate them '0'
Confused with all the terrible reviews. I think the good outweighs the bad by far, I just dont think the people that have a positive experience are writing reviews. I bought some cute baggy jeans and hopped on the trend. I ordered them a week ago and it literally came in 7 days. I'm in Canada btw. The jeans fit nice and the quality was great. Nothing to complain about except I wish I would have sized down. The name of the jeans are BDG High-Waisted Baggy Jean - Bleached Light Wash
I had a terrible experience trying to order an Urban Outfitters gift card. Between 11/26/14 and 11/28/14 I tried three times to order a gift card online. Each time I got an email that the order had been cancelled because the product was unavailable. On 11/29/14 I called Customer Service who told me that there was some kind of problem with an order of mine months ago that had carried over to this order. Customer Service promised that someone would call me within the next 5 days to resolve the issue. By December 4 nobody had contacted me. I will not be ordering from UO again.
3 times with promises, it was all taken care of, NO e gift card for my granddaughter's Christmas, No problem with my cc paying for it. First they wanted verification from my cc company for me to get a number. Actually the cc co, never heard of such a thing and thought the site was a fraud. After 3 different attempts and promises, still no E Gift card! Never again with this outfit!

E Gift card. Never delivered and Urban Outfitters cancelled it 3 times, for no reason!
And then they just drop a random tweet to a link rather than giving everyone an opportunity to order a system and somehow manages to sell out within seconds. Definitely believe this was a PR stunt to drive traffic to their page and generate publicity online for their company. Very disappointed.
They have the best sales, and always promote some kind of shipping deal. It's safe, and there are free returns online! As far as I know, they have great trendsetting fashion, and pretty good customer service.
I last ordered a dress from Urban for a dance at my school a week before the actual date. Knowing it might not fit right or look how I wanted it to I paid for express shipping. Not only did the dress not come within the time period it said it would, but the dress arrived a month and a half later! I do like Urban, but I would not suggest shopping on their online store. Terrible service.
They don't care about your business. Thier customer service is the worst. Don't bother with their online--they cancel your order for no reason. They ship things to the wrong address and then you call them to correct and they ship it to the wrong address again and again. Refuse to give refunds for their mistakes. Its like a company run by drug addled maniacs who don't care if they sell anything. Hippies.
If you live far from an urban outfitters like myself and decide to order online. DON'T. Just spend the extra and travel the distance. I have never had more hassle ordering online.
After seeing that there was a 75% off sale online I ordered three items of clothing. The cost came to £67. After three days I hadn't received any information about the despatch date or the delivery date. I only had information that my order had been received.
So I emailed them.
Their response was that I should receive an email a week later to tell me my despatch date (bearing in mind my order should have been with me at this point).
A week later I did receive an email.
To say my whole order had been cancelled.
I emailed them a very frustrating email as the clothing I bought were actually Christmas gifts for my sisters.
Looking on this site I can see I am not the only one.
Whatever you do, travel the distance or shop elsewhere.
Customer service and online ordering experience is APPALLING.
Absolutely horrible. It doesn't get worse than this.
I ordered a white resin deer head and print from them. A total of just over a hundred dollars. The deer head arrived shattered. I called customer service within a few minutes of receiving the damaged item and she told me to return it and then they would issue a replacement. I asked about the print while on the phone and she told me that it was back ordered but would be on it's way shortly. Monday morning I found an email in my inbox letting me know that they'd cancelled the print portion of my order. Just cancelled it. No reason why. Why was the order allowed to go through? Why was there nothing on the site that said it was back ordered? TERRIBLE. STAY AWAY.
Always open, always awesome. Clothing, accessories and apartment items for men and women.
