Love their huge selection of Vans & Converse. Dig their sweats and the store is always having a sale. What's not to like? I see a lot of unhappy peeps on this. I don't get why they're so angry? If you've got a problem, then just contact them. If it's still leading to no where, contact your credit card bank. If everyone were forced to work in retail, they'll all be a tad more understanding and empathetic. No one's perfect & mistakes do happen. Be more human. Getting back, Urban's totally the place to go if you want trendy styles. Perfect place for me & my gf to go. We just split into our individual sections and meet up in the Home section. Shopping online is super easy too. Love Urban.

The company whose business model is to screw up your order and/or account and be so lazy, indifferent, and/or incompetent so as to do absolutely nothing to rectify anything and literally block customers from ever purchasing again, because they can't be bothered to fix their mistakes. Good, if you're looking to reserve a date in bankruptcy court, I guess. Lol. Shop Free people, Urban Outfitters, & Anthropologie at your own risk. And once their regular abysmal customer service ignores you, you'll be blocked by their corporate level staff if you attempt to contact them. An online shopping nightmare. Ugh.

Edited review- I ordered a Kanken last Friday, (obviously paid for it in full) but UO sent me a freaking black cardigan. My order invoice said frost blue kanken so how on earth did they mistake it for a sweater? There was zero return labels in the box just this sweater that was honestly ugly and cheap feeling. Customer service was really great, she was really nice and expedited my (hopefully) correct order and sent me a return label. This however will be my first and last order with UO because I can't get over how such a nice store got my order so wrong. Update- it's been 4 days and I've still received nothing. I just called again and they said my case is still open and will be for another 36 to 72 hours then they'll close it out and you'll get an email about what happens next. JUST SEND ME MY CORRECT ORDER IT IS NOT THAT HARD.

Be careful when making payments. Invoice will show the price in AUD but your account will be debited for different amount. Their excuse is that was the USD price!

As an international customer my first order were cancelled since they've requested me to call them within 48 hours although I've submitted the full payment!
My 2nd order was OK, but many items was not eligible for international shipping so I've taken them out from my cart and when order received 3 garments came totally different from the picture shown on the websites with bad quality fabric and when I emailed them about it,,,, they've ignored me.

I never received an order I placed on 7/3- it is now a month later! My first email to the company regarding this went completely unanswered, then I called last week and customer service representative essentially told me over the phone "too bad" and that, because it was signed my a doorman (which I do not have- I live in a walk up building, and the signature was REL 496) that I would still be charged in full for the order and that I could file a police report if I wanted to. Infuriating! I cannot believe that this company would expect a customer to pay for an order in full that was never received. I urge everyone to read customer reviews on the below websites. No wonder Urban outfitters has nothing but negative reviews on the Better Business Bureau and so many women are choosing to shop on sites like Revolve.com instead of giving this company business.

Well, if you had a pleasant experience with these people then you are very lucky. They have horrible customer service. I originally ordered two items paid for over night shipping, only to find out they had none of one of the items in the warehouse so they had to hunt it down in the stores, the other item was on back order. These people offer a free shipping policy, "Right" if order is over $50.00, which mine was. They had no other choice but to refund my original shipping cost for over night shipping because they could not get it to me over night. They did nothing special for me. I received one of the items with no cost for shipping, still no favors for me because they have a free shipping policy. Then the second item still on back order finally shipped and they charged me for shipping. When I called to complain that I should not have been charged for the second item to ship because it was on the original order which should have been under the free shipping status, they wanted to argue and argue and argue that I was reimbursed for the shipping so I should have been charged for shipping the second item. I still don't get where the free shipping comes into play. Both items together came to over $150.00. So they lost a customer over $10.98 for shipping. Because I want to be treated fairly.

Tip for consumers:
Don't, they don't care about their customers opinions.

I ordered some shoes on the 6th of October. Track and trace was relatively good and shipping was prompt with the shoes arriving in New Zealand on the 11th and clearing customs on the 12th. However, after this track and trace was never updated again. It is now the 22nd of October and i still have no information and no order. I have tried contacting them and they do not respond by email. The do NOT respond by Facebook. They DO NOT respond by Instagram. They are quite possibly the worst excuse for a company i know. I also contacted Asendia the company they shipped through. They could not give me any information about the new carrier in NZ and now it seems as if the shoes have vanished. I dont even care anymore, all i want is for Urban Outfitters to get what they deserve for this horrible unproffesionalism. Please someone tell me how i can make this happen.

I purchased a item (raincoat) on 16 July 2015 with Urban Outfitters( North America) but had to exchange it for a smaller size.
Unfortunately the only 'exchange' method is to place another order online and return the other size back to the Reply Paid address provided.
Hence this I did.
I have been back and forth with emails checking whether they have processed my refund.
The generic emails I have received did not provide me with even simple information to say whether they have received the returned item in question!
The date is now 9 September 2015 and they haven't the courtesy of responding to my latest email ( after having said that they would respond within 72 hours which has long lapsed)
I shop globally online all the time and have never encountered this atrocious level of poor service. I thought UO were a reputable company. Obviously not!
I have wasted enough time chasing after my refund. A cashback from my credit card company is the way to go I reckon in this case.
UO- you have lost a customer today. Never will I shop with you again.
There are plenty of other good if not better sites to shop from.
You have been warned..

They don't practice the first part of their name URBAN! The NW Portland OR store racially profiles their customers. If your a minority be prepared to get followed!

I only am reading these reviews now because I had a problem with this company. And it's the same problem as everyone else! The worst customer service EVER! I ordered a hat online and they sent me the wrong hat. I called and they said they would be sure to send the right hat. Still wrong hat. I called again and they made some excuse about the tags being switched and they were trying to figure it out and would call me back, which they never did. I spend 1 hour total trying to get the right hat.

When I was returning to the store, the salesgirl showed me the store info online which stated the hat was out of stock, but restocking at a certain date. Same time, she showed me that the hat is available online. She said that when they run out of an item, they just send a similar item and hope you like it and are too lazy to return it. So you never know if you are going to get the right item, because to the consumer, it appears to be in stock. This store has customer service worst than PacSun - I didn't think it would be possible, but this is the worst customer service!

I have never seen a looooooonnnng shipping delays haha, i've purchase from a lot of US website and its the first time that it takes sooooooo long to arrive! For one simple hoodie hahahah! Ive also received a sms that my order is on its way and out for delevery... still no sign of my purchase! Hahah never buying there again

Way to over overpriced. The items quality is not worth its price. If I wanted to buy something from there, I want the name brand to be put somewhere on the outside of the item, not just its tag.

Last week i bought the Ed sheeran vinyl from their Amsterdam shop and it was not original. It was all looking the same with the original from the outside but the man singing in the vinyl is not ED, its clearly that is not him. DONT RISK IT.

I read the reviews in hear saying it was the worst and to never shop there. I was a bit nervous ordering from here, but i took the risk. I ordered champion sandles, within 4 days it delivered, EVERYTHING PERFECT, URBAN OUTFITTERS UR THE BEST!

I do a lot of online shopping, this company is the absolute worst I've encountered. I ordered a dress. I get an email saying the order was canceled, here's a coupon for 20% off and free shipping. So I reorder. The coupon code turns out to only be 15%, not the 20% promised in the email, and with no free shipping. I placed the new order anyway since I really wanted the dress. Few days later I get another email saying they were mistaken, the original order was never canceled, and that it was on its way. I emailed customer service multiple times, they finally sorted things out.

I made another order with another discount code that I received for all my troubles. It was a huge order with more than ten items. I don't know why they can't compile the order into one. Anyways, they sent everything in separate packages. One of the packages was lost. I had to contact customer service. They refunded me, but they made a mistake. I ordered two tube tops of two different colours and they only refunded me for one. So I have to contact them again. Also they have no option of reshipping, any lost items can only be refunded. That means if I were to reorder I'd lose the original discount code that I was using.

I've never in my experience had so many problems with online ordering from a company. I like their products but I'm never ordering from them again. The process is stressful and annoying. Not to mention their shipping isn't free!

Never ever ever have I been so disgusted by a company in my entire life. I'm appalled and furious with URBAN OUTFITTERS.

Il try to make this short... I ordered a headboard online, they never communicated when the headboard would be shipped but it took a very long time... finally when I'm out of town for a work meeting the headboard was supposed to be shipped... so I drive 5 hours to get back for the furniture. GUESS WHAT they changed the shipping last minute... moved it to 2 days later... and of course they didn't ship the item... so again I take off another day of work... reschedule the shipping and for the 3rd time NOTHING... yes my item was shipped but I was so angry with urban... and of course while I was waiting for the item it went on sale! I was so mad and called to complain and the woman on the phone generously offered me 40 percent off plus free shipping... generous deal right? THINK AGAIN... i even asked for written proof never got any proof of this offer... I even called back they said it will be applied and credited back... called again a few days later still no sign of a refund... called again still no sign... called again they assured me I was getting a refund... called again still NOTHING but they kept on promising me... then I sent some emails and this complete moron says there is no sign of this offer but il give you 25 percent... that person had the audacity to insinuate that I'm literally pulling the offer out of thin air... um no... i was told 40 i wasted countless hours on this and to say 25 after the fact is a disgusting insult... URBAN IS HORRIBLE DO NOT BUY ONLINE.

Pretty disappointed with this company so far. I ordered a 60$ dress online that, in the pictures, looked like a great grunge distressed denim. The description said it was soft and stretchy and comfortable, which was awesome! I just had surgery and I needed something like that. When it arrived, it was less "90's grunge" and more "could have gotten the same thing at Wal-Mart for 10$. M bad. I still liked the dress so I kept it.

Secondly, I ordered a watch for my boyfriend's birthday. The watch was one back order, but only by three days, so I figured I'd be safe. On the website, the picture of the watch displayed a beautiful dark grey-tan leather strap. When I checked out, I noticed in the product detail that it said Face: Silver Strap: Black. I emailed customer service immediately and wanted to make absolutely sure that I was not going to receive the tan strap, not the black one. The customer service rep (only a day and a half later) told me that it was just labelled black, but I'd actually get the tan. Lo and behold, two and a half weeks later it (barely) arrived in time. I paid an extra 4$ to have it "giftwrapped". This actually meant that it came in an awful plain red box that was haphazardly taped on one side. It looked terrible, so I removed it. Out of curiosity, I checked the watch to make sure I was content with giving it to him, and thankfully I did. The strap was, of course black. Three days until his birthday and now I have the wrong watch, after being ABSOLUTELY ASSURED that it wouldn't be.

Will never order from this company again.

My daughter placed an order using a gift card with 2 items on it. She received the 1st item, then they charged the gift card for the 2nd item & never received it, but they are claiming there was a problem with the gift card. Contacted the Gift card company they informed me UO has indeed charged the card for the 2nd item. Now my poor daughter is out $40 on her gift card because of this BULL $#*!! Company. By the way, the OLD FOSSIL LADY I was talking to was extremely rude. ATROCIOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE. WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN. I WISH SHE HAD CHARGED ON CREDIT CARD, WOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH EASIER TO DISPUTE IT. TERRIBLE SERVICE.

I had the worst experience with urban outfitters! I had tried on a different color of the pair of shorts i wanted (size 4). I asked an associate to order me size 4 online in the color I wanted. I received the shorts 5 days later in the mail and i received a size 0, I called and the later said she would do overnight shipping (which took 3 days). I received the incorrect size 4 TIMES! I finally searched for a store that had my size. No apologies, no discount, NOTHING. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED.

I ordered a hoddie from Urban Outfitters and paid $30 for shipping at checkout. Three weeks after purchase I got a card from Royal Mail asking for a fee of £17.78 to get my parcel delivered as insufficient postage had been paid. All in all, I ended up paying almos the same amount for shipping delivery than what I paid for the hoddie. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN, THANKS!

Ordered from the site and one item shipped quickly without any issues the others shipped separately and were late because they attempted delivery twice but had the wrong address. How do items that are on the same order as the last one now have the wrong address? After being on the phone several times with UPS and not getting anywhere I called UO customer service who just told me to call UPS back and their best guess is that the shipping label got cut off, why didn't anyone check this? So finally after hearing nothing for a few days I talked to customer service again who said they would send me a refund and I should expect it in 24-48 hours. It took at least 4 days and writing another customer service member to get it taken care of except they refunded me for the one item that actually came on time not the three still missing. Wrote again to customer service who said they would call within a few hours and still haven't heard anything. It's been days and I wrote in as well, nothing. I'm guessing I'm never going to get this refund. DON'T EVER SHOP HERE.

I love urban outfitters clothing/furniture even though it is overly priced, its cute and ive purchased from them once. My order was almost 300 dollars worth of items and I figured my order went through because the money was taken out of my account (and figured it worked like a usual company). However i was sorely mistaken when half of my order was put on hold for shipping confirmation due to them asking for a purchase code on my bank statement and that i needed to call my bank so that they could my order through. When my bank did not have this and was as confused as I was, I stayed on the phone with the horrible customer service rep till my order went through. Later I realized half of my order didn't go through because it was on back order and when it was ready to ship it could not go through because UrbanOutfitters had continued to hold my money till it put me into debt. I had to cancel the order and am not able to get a refund on my money because the pending charge that i had put through on my account was no longer allowed for me to purchase my items because they "charge when ready to ship". Never buying from them again, if I see something in the future that I like from them, I'll gladly go on nordstrom or depop.

I got a discounted gift card on Raise.com, placed an $473 order on UO, being processed for three days, got an email ask me to call customer service to verify the order, the Rep told me any order paid by a gift card not purchased on UO will be cancelled. A new gift card was issued, but 0 balance in there, called customer service again, was told an answer will be given in 2 days, no answer yet. Do not shop with UO!

Finally got an answer from UO via email, they states that
The order was cancelled and the gift card redeemed due to the fact we received a report the gift cards used were reported as fraudulently used/purchased

But there is still $6.80 balance left in the gift card after the $473 order, if this gift card is fraudulently, why there is still a balance in the gift card?

I emailed them again, but they never reply my email. This is how UO treat their customers, I will never shop with UO anymore, and tell my friends not to shop with UO, they are the worst retailer I've ever seen!

Site kept crashing when placing my order. Things in my basket suddenly were out of stock. Kept trying and messages coming up were saying unsuccessful however I somehow got charged three times. Even the PayPal transaction stated "cancelled". Got charged by PayPal and twice by UO. Left wondering why the PayPal transaction was listed as cancelled upon purchase - maybe so I could not excercise cancellation rights? PayPal got resolved, but when I made contact to cancel one of the other transactions due to their own system fault I was told it could not be cancelled as it was too late (did so on the same day). Then they didn't ship for over a week after that yet it was too late to cancel one transaction a week earlier? Then got sent an email for one superfluous order stating the payment method was rejected due to suspicious activity and if I wanted to continue, to get in touch with the payment authority and send an email to confirm order still wanted or wouldn't ship. Made no contact to confirm, yet miraculously they charged again and shipped anyway. To state this is a farce is understatement. How can one business be so incompetent. If the orders ever come I will be shipping them back, which will cost more for their HR resources than a cancelation in the first place. Good work Urban Crap - you haven't only made it difficult for the consumer, but for all stakeholders and staff concerned that have to work extra because of your inefficient and broken processes. What a joke.
