Overloaded Towers
December 5, 2022

I switched to Verizon for my phone and 5g home internet. From day one it was slow starting around 2pm and would stay slow until about 11pm. I had multiple tickets in for this issue and they told me others in my area had tickets in for the same thing. The ping would go up to 600-700ms during this time. I was told each ticket would take up to 7-10 days, about the 7th day on each ticket they would close it and say resolved and then open another ticket for the same issue and tell me to wait another 7-10 days. Finally a tier 2 support manager told me the tower in my area is just overloaded and there is nothing they can do to resolve the issue unless they decide to build another tower in the area. I paid off my phone and tried to take it to another provider and they won't release my phone for 60 days even though I can't use my phone half of the time. The customer service is also horrible, no one seems to know what they are doing or who they need to transfer you to. I spent 2 hours on the phone and transferred to 4 people an know one knew who they needed to talk to about getting my phone unlocked so I can take it to another provider that can actually provide service in my area that actually works.

If you owe Verizon a cent of last month's bill they lock you out of the app. My bill should be 150 but every month I owe about 450. Because I'm less than 1 month passed due I'm not able to speak with an agent to unlock my account and see the bill. I tried their chat room they suggested but it's another AI that has a payment link that doesn't work and no way to get the account unlocked to make a payment. Verizon is by far the worst phone company I've had. Get a company you can trust

Visited the Verizon store at the corner of Colonial and Six Mile Cypress this morning. Experienced a female brunette salesperson with disgustingly HUGE fake eyelashes. I waited for 10 minutes for the store to open and get assistance setting up a new phone. (Mine was stolen) The representative didn't ask any clarifying questions before immediately talking down to me as though I were an idiot. I told her I knew my apple ID and the new phone was not recognizing it. Two different times she stated "If you don't know your apple ID." I said I do know it. Her professional comment was "Do you want my help or not"? I've been in sales my whole career and I understand completely that I needed to talk to Apple, but this representative needs some training in how to treat clients who are experiencing an issue. There was no empathy, professionalism or respect for the client by this rep and she just escalated what could have been a very easy conversation.

Horrible experience

This is the worst experience I've ever had with a cellphone several provider. Since I started the service I've had to call over the course of this year over 30 times. The service is horrible and the equipment keep malfunctioning. I've been having trouble with billing and the customer service is absolutely horrible, the worst. Every customer service rep I talked to tells a different story and they never return your phone call. As we speak im dealing with another issue with this equipment. I purchased a brand new phone when the service started and since then I've had to get 3 different replacement refurbished devices in its place because they don't send out new phones for warranty. Even if it's not your fault and these refurbished phones only last a couple months and they break. Now they sent me another phone that supposedly should be warranty and I have over a 600 dollar charge that a rep told me I have to pay for. And the problem is not my fault. Like I say whoever reads this review I highly suggest you to find another wireless provider because Verizon is the worst company out there to deal with. I have a business account and every month I have to stop working to call Verizon for a problem. This is ridiculous and bow there telling me that I have to pay over 3k dollars to get out of a contract. This is a rip off and should be a crime. Please do not use Verizon. Im warning you all.

When you call Verizon for issue about billing they do not respond correctly when you ask for extension or if an issue arises on payment.Verzion will unless you over the phone and make a stories to harass you about payment. He also text you eight times in form harassment and coercion to make you pay the bill.
Verizon also control your TV by cutting it off with TV interruptions until the bill is paid and do not give you proper information on what you owe by mail and they will send your name to the debt collectors to collect without the federal reporting act law

I've wasted hours online with various chat agents (some that Verizon claims are live agents), and still can't log into my long-standing account. When I try to log in, I'm asked security questions that I've never seen before--clearly not ones I would have chosen. When I try to get help, the chat agent tells me I need to log into my account first before I can get help. It's an endless, time-wasting loop. Also, my Verizon cell phone also has terrible reception where I live--in the middle of a large city, but that's another issue.

Never ending contracts

I have been with Verizon for years for my medium sized business. I can't stress enough for anyone considering doing business to re consider! Their GPS platform is a never ending contract with severe penalties for canceling. Their phone service "one talk" does not work for my business needs, the KPI's are almost non existent. The salesperson lies in the implementation to make me buy the product. My reach lists to management are so far unsuccessful. By the way we spend over $5000 a month on Verizon services, and get absolutely horrible support

Lie from day one

Verizon got me to sign up telling the phone is unlocked and if I had an issue paying my bill let them know so when I lost my job and contacted them I got a run around my phone was shut off and when I asked for the carrier to be unlocked because I got a sim card from the government which is through Verizon so I could get another job they tell me they won't unlock the phone I was originally told was unlocked until my bill is paid in the original papers the policy stated that it was locked for 60 days at which time if it was not reported lost or stolen or fraud it would be unlocked. They sent me different papers that I never signed and was told one thing and then shown another. Verizon is a joke and I will never use them again. I can't pay the bill without a way to contact or for the jobs to contact me and I can not afford another phone. Bbb is supposed to be on their side but if you are mislead, lied to or just good old manipulated for their sales that should be a just reason to do something about it would it not?

Worst customer experience

This year I added a line during the bring your own device get $500... then they claimed I canceled a line and needed to pay the $500 back so that was added to my next bill. No help with customer service at all. Then recently I upgraded my phone and my husband to get 800 off of the new phones this was in Sept. Here we are in November I get an email saying they are taking the 1 of the promotions back because they didn't receive the device. I said how you guys receive one phone and not the other when they were taken to UPS the same day. Make it make sense. The trade in occurred on Sept 10 and the phones were received back to them on Sept 26 which is not 30 days. I'm sick of this company and wouldn't refer them to anyone. Just a money racket and no experienced help. So don't even bother to ask for a Supervisor because they are never available

I cancelled service on 5 lines only 3 days into my billing cycle and was only credited $43 out of $280 bill. So I had to pay $237 for 3 days service! What a ripoff. Go with Spectrum, only $29.99 per line ( no extra fees or taxes)

Customer Support is……

I have Verizon service for over 20 years. Recently over the last 6 months I've tried to get some support from a Verizon customer support person. There are those who are very passionate about their job and those that have no clue how to deal with their customers. I seem to fall into the latter category as there was one female support worker who looked at me as if I was from Mars. That's one store. Another one today placed a sign on their front door saying "If you don't have an appointment stay out". I then went to AT&T and switched plans with great pleasure. So long Veeryezoooooooonnnnn!

Hidden charges with plan
November 11, 2022

When they offered, it was included in the offer that the activation charged are free but still they charge that. And in ever bill they charge surcharges with bill and taxes which is never mentioned anywhere. If you using $40 plan, you ultimate bill will be around $60

Disrespectful

My father is deceased. I sent his death certificate and they still keep sending a bill. He has no income! It's extremely rude to keep sending a bill! Our lawyer said his children do not owe money for his bills!

Changing providers

I have had phone service with Verizon for about 4 years and nothing but issues. The phone service is terrible in my area not to mention the customer service is ridiculous. Been on the phone with them 5 times this week. Nothing but runaround. And please don't waste your money on letting them talk you into phone insurance as I have been paying $17 a mth for insurance for them to send me to a third party company who wants $250 to replace a 4 year old phone that went black. Seems Verizon shouldn't sell third party insurance that doesn't honor their insurance. I will be getting a new provider this week.

Consumers matter too

I purchased a Verizon prepaid refill card by mistake I have Verizon home internet customer service told me they don't accept Verizon prepaid refill cards customer service is horrible how can you not accept your own company's card if Verizon don't take this card the bill won't get paid and I'd appreciate it if it Verizon will respond cuz I'm getting nowhere with customer service or Verizon retailers

Scam

So my wife and I have been Verizon customers for quite a few years now and it was time to get our 9yr old twins a phone. We went to a Verizon location in Burlington WI. Where we upgraded my phone to an iPhone, my wife got the new Samsung s22 which was free with another Samsung trade in and my kids got last year's Samsung s20fe phones which were supposed to be free with new activation. After spending almost $700 ($667.78) to be exact in store for "free phone's" our phone bill went up over $100. We went from $150mo. To $281mo. For 4 phones when we were told our plan would only go up $18. So our next bill was $281. A $131 increase from what they told us to add 2 lines to an existing plan. Now we got another bill for $450 which no one at Verizon can explain or tell us where our money went or what it was for. If that isn't enough, my 9yr old daughters number was still connected to another phone so we had strangers calling and threatening us. It was like pulling teeth to get them to give me a new number for my daughter without charging me activation and setup fees to make the change when it was clearly Verizon's fault. This is 100% unacceptable. Now at almost $1,500.00 within 2 months we still have no answers and we've lost an entire mortgage payment. That's pretty expensive for 2 "free" phones. This company is a total SCAM! I would never go with this company even if they were the only one! I would seriously think twice before even considering Verizon. Us cellular is much more transparent with there bill and will not fluctuate every month like Verizon. Plus US Cellular's family plan is cheaper even without all the "discounts" Verizon offers. Seriously regret going with this company. Sad to see this is how they treat former military members.

I hate Verizon!

I thought no company could possibly ever be worse than Comcast used to be in their worst days. Verizon has proved me wrong. I despise this company, and wish they would just go out of business. Without fail their customer service is either nonexistent, or they screw up everything, or they screw up everything but act like they're going to assist you. It isn't even worth going through any details. They are terrible and impossible to deal with across the board, for anything you might need, and regardless of whether you're a consumer or a business account. Even when it comes to sales they screw up everything! Never mind saying I hate Verizon. I D-E-S-P-I-S-E Verizon!

REBATE ISSUES

I'm having an issue getting the $350 rebate I'm supposed to get for binging my own device when I added another line. They said I didn't submit the form on time. I have screenshots sorting the link I was given to use to complete the form & one that shows the account I created on that link. I've spent HOURS on chat sessions & phone calls trying to get this resolved. I'm beyond frustrated. I've always paid my bills on time & have been a customer for 20 yrs. I'm gonna look into alternative companies for cell service. Their rebate program shouldn't require that the customer do anything additional to get as rebate for doing exactly what you needed to. I brought my own device. They know that because they got the line set up. Just a bunch of hoops to make their customers jump through so they don't have to pay out the rebates & blame the customer. That's NOT how you should treat customers.
