So far, my shopping experience has been very good. The delivery times are a bit long, but it's understandable since the items come from another country or continent. A very good app for buying clothes.
My experience with your company has been nothing short of a nightmare. You dragged out my sale for over four months, and when I finally got my purse back, it was in terrible condition due to your carelessness. To make matters worse, after all that time, you had the nerve to call it a sale and insulted me with a mere $25 payout. I've never been treated so poorly by any company before. Sellers be aware! They are cheating on us, the fees that they have applied are much higher and when you point this out all they do is giving you radio silence! Each December they raise their fees by 1%. This is their email we got in December " From 14 December 2022, the Selling Fee in your country for items priced between 80€ and 13 000€ increased from 14% to 15%.
This 15% Selling Fee only applies to items listed from 14 December onwards. For any items listed before that date, the fee will not change " all of my items are listed before the date, so the fees should stay by 14%, they have raised the fees to 17%! The price of all my items have dropped! Not only they lied and changed the fees but they raised it to 17% without telling us! Of course they are incompetent to say anything to that. In the last 6 days I have sent emails and contacted them in chat, of course they are silent, they are silent because they know they are wrong! And are incompetent to get back at me with reasonable answer. I am an Expert Seller, they have cheated on me with the fees for a long time and won't answer to my emails at all! Very poor service, unprofessional. Shame on you for lying and treating your customers this way! All they are capable of is copy paste the same message to each person that complain without giving any solution!

I recently made my first purchase with Vestiaire Collective and I couldn't be more pleased with my experience. I will admit I was a bit worried after reading all of the negative reviews. I made my purchased my bag on Tuesday August 15th from a seller in France (I'm in the US) and received it Thursday August 24th so it came within the 10 day time frame they said it would. The bag is beautiful and the quality is excellent! However even though I had a good experience with them I probably won't take any chances buying from this site again. Based on all the negative reviews I've seen on multiple websites I do feel like I just got lucky.

Just ordered dior heels and waited a week for the seller to finally ship item. I chose direct shipping so not authenticated by the VC team I GUESS THAT WAS A HUGE MISTAKE because the seller decided to scam me by sending me some non label heels instead of the dior heels! My horrible experience with Vestiaire as a seller.
I sold a necklace which had an additional safety pin installed on it. I have shown it in great detail in the photos and wrote about it in the description to make sure the buyer knows what he/she is buying. There is absolutely no doubt about it because as a long term seller I sell on multiple platforms and use the same description across all of them.
Other people reported it before but it has never happened to me that VC changes descriptions of some of the items before placing them online. I have never bothered to check mine and learned to do it this hard way.
I shipped my item and I've got all these requests from VC asking for receipts and other evidence (like servicing which was done by the original brand) which I've provided although the necklace had all the original hallmarks etc. This is where I was puzzled on what the whole fuss about and then discovered that the description of my item is severely trimmed. The sale has been cancelled due to "item does not perfectly match the description". There were like 20 super clear high res photos of the item from all the angles. And I know what I am talking about because I see the photos that other people provide.
How is this possible that I DO write about my product in great detail and then this information just disappears?
How is this possible that I provide a ton of super clear photos of the exact same product I am selling and it "does not perfectly match the description"?
I am so fed up with Vestiaire and their "expertise"!

Deal with care. Do not sell or buy high value items and definitely do not trust their "authentication" expertise.

I am on VC since quite some time and has been buying and selling as well (selling mostly). What I must say:
- make your own judgment carefully before buying the item. VC does not check authenticity of the items which are posted online. I've seen many times fake Van Cleef and Arpels items advertised, for example. VC is supposed to pick these issues up during authentication process but you never know and your time and money will be lost.
- I am not sure about authentication process. Obviously many people complain that fakes and items in bad condition get through to the buyers which is not acceptable on any level. However, in my case I have also seen signs of incompetence from another side where real authentic items were rejected because "authentication team" simply did not know how to verify authenticity. They would ask you for extra documents/receipts etc although this you clearly write in your ad what comes with the item.
This is a second hand/vintage market and obviously receipts are not always available. If I had a full set, I would not need a third party authentication agency taking 25% off my sale to sell my item to the client and for this amount of money making a fuss and not only simply showing their incompetence but also affecting my status as a seller.

Problematic from the beginning! I am pregnant and needing more space at home as my size and lifestyle changes,, hence I need to sell considerable amount of my closet. My go to is eBay but I am looking for another platform to expand and expedite sales. So I decided to try VC. I have purchased a Gucci bag through their AU platform, paid in AU dollars all throughout and was given a checkout order total of $$$$AUD "includes shipping and ALL fees" says on checkout. Next thing I know I am emailed a receipt from Paris with a different total amount in US dollars and VC overdrawn my bank by the hundreds! Spoken to multiple VC agents and we just run around in circles. Days now passed with no update. The item arrived via sendle today and the driver just left my parcel out the front exposed. I opened my delivery and found damages on the bag not disclosed on the ad and seller also kept the bag's receipt and all paperwork's ie care card, original tags etc. which were included on his photographs. Bag also has stains front/back on top of odour issues. When I contacted the owner about it, he was immensely defensive and rude. I raised the issue with VC so I can return the bag, but I won't hold my breath receiving a prompt response. I had it authenticated through my trusted lux authenticator — it will be very interesting to see if it's fake given the seller's desperation to pass it on. VC is just headache after headache and customer support pretty much is non existent — and they want me to entrust them with my prized possessions after this? NO WAY!

I was sold a fake $3000 bag. Their authentication service is a joke as the bag was authenticated by them twice! Thank God I used Pay Pal so after two months I was able to get a refund. FYI: They never even responded to me directly or Pay Pal so I can't imagine what would happen if I purchased directly. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM!

Vestiaire is full of fakes, especially Chanel. I am a well established collector and I have confirmed with Chanel that at least half of their items are fake (some are obviously fake even from the picture, yet they will allow the item on the website anyway). Other sellers use genuine pictures but send you a fake item instead. This is what happened to me. I've sent back counterfeit shoes with a detailed description, photos, even a picture comparison with genuine pair. I thought they will ban the scammer (who already managed to scam other people). Instead, Vestiaire refunded me and simply relisted the shoes again on their own account as if they were real. They are scamming people big time. Please be careful and ALWAYS seek a second opinion because Vestiaire is known for selling fakes with a massive price tag. Either they do it deliberately or simply have no idea how to authenticate the luxury pieces. I will post a video about it and share it with my fashion community because this deserves to be spoken about.

Avoid in general or buy only if you have a decent knowledge about the brand, so that you don't get scammed with very good fakes

I bought the sneakers on the platform from a private seller. In the description of the item was nothing about damages but they were in such terrible condition. Torn, frayed, torn seams. I wrote to the support they told me that they are "really sorry" about the situation and offered me the "second check", I sent them back the shoes. And they decided that the condition matches the description what is insane! So they just propose me to sell them from my account and they want to take the commission from this selling! I'm in shock, really!
Also from the support team I got this:
"I understand that you are unhappy in this entire solution, I will feel the same if l'm on the same shoes."
Everybody understand that I was deceived but nobody take care of it! I would never ever recommend somebody this platform! It's the worst thing I ever did - buy the stuff here. I lose my money and I just need come to terms with it. Or sell the sneakers and make the same situation for somebody else.

I would strongly recommend to avoid this company. I had a total of 4 orders with them, out of which, 2 with issues. A pair of shoes with broken heels and a dress that never arrived. To refund me, i was asked to hand write that the product was indeed broken (despite submitting several pictures immediately after collection) and in the other case, that the item indeed did not arrive (despite being pending on UPS and VC app). In addition, they requested a copy of my ID by email. If you check their T&Cs, none of the above is stated and should be easier to obtain a refund. Requesting IDs from buyers and by email, raised me questions on their DPO obligations and how they meet it. One of the refunds was made after a month, the other one is pending delivery for almost 2 months and they would not investigate it as I refused to provide the ID. I raised a complaint externally with dispute adjudicators. If you can, stay away from them, if you were treated unfairly, raise your complaint further maybe their practices can be investigated.

HORRIBLE SITE! They claim to authenticate/ verify the transactions with their experts... BUT... By verify, they simply mean they compare the write description to the item and Nothing more! They don't even verify the information is correct and accurate. Even after I supplied Double RL catalog photos showing the pants being worn on and sold as women's. Yes, I received women's pants being SOLD as Men's on Vestiaire Collective. The pants are even being sold currently on Ralph Lauren. Com as women's. Anyone can verify information as correct but an expert can tell if the info is accurate and correct. Apparently not here on this site. I sent them catalog photos, links to the current pants being SOLD as women's but still rejected my return. Shady service! I paid $15‐$20 for this authentication service and they didn't even do it accurately and can't admit any wrong doing. EXPERTS my A$$! I'm letting the court system and the federal trade Commission figure it out.

Very poor service
If you buy from this website be careful, I paid extra for authentication of the bag which arrived with a broken strap making it unwearable it was also in much poorer condition than described and was poorly packaged. I sent multiple photos and videos and requested a refund of the full amount, I was than told to send it back for "reinspection" I sent it back but was told it matched the description despite it being clear it did not. They than sent it back with the strap loupes missing when I complained they said that they werr not missing they than sent me pictures of the bag being packaged which clearly showed them missing. After losing faith in the process I was able to uses my evidence to claim chargeback through my bank. I would urge anyone to do the same if you are going to buy from here and I would recommend you don't, ensure you keep records and pay through PayPal or on credit card to ensure you have a good claims procedure with your bank"
