So far, my shopping experience has been very good. The delivery times are a bit long, but it's understandable since the items come from another country or continent. A very good app for buying clothes.
My experience with your company has been nothing short of a nightmare. You dragged out my sale for over four months, and when I finally got my purse back, it was in terrible condition due to your carelessness. To make matters worse, after all that time, you had the nerve to call it a sale and insulted me with a mere $25 payout. I've never been treated so poorly by any company before. Your customer service was not just unhelpful—it was downright dismissive and incompetent at every step. This has been an absolute disaster from start to finish. Before and after pictures
My purchase was not what I expected for being labeled "In very good condition " bag showed pronounced wormed scuffle to the bag. I am not pleased with bag description.

I am dealing
With a lost package on their side … and now they let me text with 9 different people - and want me to change the tracking number THEY provided me which
Is FRAUD! I gave it now to my
Attorney - since they don't answer the question why they want me to change the tracking number with the carrier which they provided and which
Is stated in the app

Worst customers service in the world, these people do not have ANY training before they handle and check your bag, just ask for recipe everytime. How on earth am i gonna find a receipt of something i brought a few years ago? And why the hell do i need to pay up to thousands of commission if u just gonna ask me for receipt? Isnt the whole point you exist is to check bags without certification? AND NOT TO MENTION HOW RUDE THOSE STAFF ARE! It's they are working for us for free or they are actually paying us or something. Btw some tips for new sellers, when they refuse to return your bag, just call the police to their shipping address :) that's the only way works, no need to wait for their emails cause you very likely need to wait up to months

They're OK for sellers. For buyers, I'd strongly recommend Germany-based Rebelle. Those guys are serious when it comes to authentification and quality check.

Ladies, Stay FAR AND AWAY from them and their website. Not only all my 5 purchases on different times have been a complete joke, but they keet covering their faults, calling you names, hanging me up. Their quality control are shameful, they let items pass when they should've been returned immediately to the seller because of a misrepresentation, items that were described in fact in new condition in their description arrived in fair deplorable condition. Plus I had to pay duty fees every single time. They don't have true authenticators and if they do they don't know the difference between a LV never full replica and an authentic one. I just told them to screw themselves at the end and I closed my account without looking back. Fortunately I got rid of those bags and made a small profit stating their true condition but I would be in complete devastation if I were keeping those crappy bags. Also, 30 days to get your item if the seller decide no to send it in a reasonable time, really? 30% of commission... total rip off. Don't Believe what vogue says, they own the company.

LOL, read all the responses from this so called "company" to the complaints. Its all generic crap. I was over charged on a louyis vuitton rosewood patent leather bag (yes vestaire...you know who I am)!
I have written numerous emails showing via video and photos that my attempt to accept a reduced price from a seller became a decline and THEN they processed my credit card with the full price!
DO NOT TAKE THE RISK...THIS COMPANY IS NOT ABOVE BOARD!
STUPID, STUPID...I JUST SPENT OVER 6,700 ON A NEW LOUIS VUITTON AND A GUCCI PURSE...YOU COULD HAVE HAD THE SALE IF YOU WOULD HAVE BEHAVED A LITTLE MORE PROFESSION RATHER THEN RETURN EMAILING ME THE SAME GENERIC NONSENSE EVERYONE CAN READ HERE!

Chanel Backpack Debaucle Mal a la tete.
Tried to buy a Chanel backpack but was told that a preferred customer had reserved it. After several weeks of checking back I was finally told that it was available for purchase. The seller agreed to the price I offered and Vestiaire told me I had to purchase it within a period of time. I tried to purchase it within that time and was told that the item was unavailable because a preferred customer wanted it. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told that none were available. When I asked for someone to call me back, I was told, "Our customers call us, we do not call them." WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I see why the ratings are so low. Sadly this company does not seem to care. It is like trying to have a meaningful conversation with Donald Trump.

Dear Donna,
We are very sorry to hear that you had difficulties purchasing the Chanel Backpack. Please can you share the reference number of the item and we will look into this ASAP?

The app created an awesome community of vintage/ luxury sustainable lovers, I'll give them that.
However, their customer service is simply appalling.
First issue I had around two months ago - an item was sold to Italian buyer (I'm based in the U. K.). I contacted DHL and they said due to lockdown & Brexit they're unable to ship internationally. I contacted Vestiaire and it turned out they knew about the issue but did not advertise it anywhere on the app and still let the sale to go ahead. They advised me I cancelled the sale, which costed me a badge of trusted seller (therefore loosing visibility and trustworthiness) and there was no reimbursement from VC.
Recently, VC introduced a new commission model which saved sellers some money. I sold two items and accepted low offers for these as I thought I was under new commission model. Wrong. Turns out all items listed previously were under the old, more expensive commission model. I contacted VC and once again no reimbursement.
I'll ship my newest sale, will wait for the payment and then will most probably close my account. Very disappointed with the customer service experience.

Honestly, I love the idea of buying used fashion items and being able to have them authenticated before you receive them. In principal, it's great! But honestly, the company itself is a hot mess and nothing ever goes right. My first purchase I ever made, I used my "Welcome" coupon code. The vendor ended up selling the bag elsewhere so they canceled my order. Vestiaire Collective refused to re-issue the coupon, or provide a new coupon for the same value. Twice now I have made a purchase only to be told "Sorry, the seller no longer has the item." And the sellers are still allowed to sell on the platform, how does that make sense? Sellers who screw people over should not be allowed to continue using the site. The customer service is pretty terrible and it's almost impossible to actually get in touch with anyone outside of their email ticket system. I also once bought a bag that was marked "Very good quality" only to receive it and half the bag was stained blue, almost like a dark denim was rubbed against it. How is that very good quality? I complained and they basically said, too bad. Absolutely amazing how terrible this company is.

Dear Ashley, thank you for bringing this matter to our attention! Upon verification of your account, we kindly remind that your order dates back to September 2020 and remind that the Welcome voucher is only available on first orders.
We are sorry to hear that your order has been cancelled. Regarding item availability, sellers will either have 7 or 15 days to ship their sold item before the order is automatically refunded. This is a thief company, I sold an item and their so call quality control couldn't verify the item, they requested more information i. E original invoice via email and it says if I don't have the invoice requested then the item will be send back to me free of charge. I responded on the same day saying I don't have the invoice. The next day sale was cancelled and my item was refused and asked me to paid $12 to have the item back to me. I emailed them asking that in the previous email it indicated item will be return back to me free of charge and an agent responded saying will investigate and come back to me within 3 days. No reply until I follow up again to have my item returned, however they refuse to provide a timeline. So they keeping my item for no reason and not returning my item. When it's new order they take less than one day to have the item sent out. But when it comes to return item that they have no legal right over, they just make excuse. This is thief! Don't sell via this company unless u want your item taken.
UPDATE: since I can't wait for their ridiculous investigation about the free return charge, I now paid the $12 to the their US bank account as they provided in the email. GUESS WHAT, they told me now the account is no longer active and I have to wait another 5-7 days for progress. How can this company operate by sending customer wrong bank details and refuse to take any responsibility for it. This is absolutely a nightmare. I will NOT use this company again.

Please note that this information is automatically shared by email if our team can not determine the origin of your item. This fee refers to storage and shipping fees. Please note that our team will soon the return of your item and thank you very much for your understanding on that matter,

I ordered two items from Vestiaire on August 25th. I was initially very impressed with them! The first item I ordered was sent to the authentication center, properly verified, and then sent on its way to me.
The seller of the second item never shipped my item. No problem, I think, this company specifically advertises that I'll receive a full refund in case my item isn't shipped. THAT IS A LIE.
They are refusing to refund me for shipping and customs fees attached to the item. They're making me pay these fees for an item that was never shipped and never went through customs.
Their customer care team takes ages to respond, is not attentive at all and doesn't even read my messages. All I get is "we are happy to inform you a full refund has been issued". Which is completely incorrect. The replies are in broken English and my issue is not being addressed at all.
I had to resort to filing a claim with paypal. Do NOT order from this greedy, money grubbing company. If your seller doesn't ship the item they'll just steal your money. There's a million better ways to purchase second hand items, this one is a massive ripoff and not worth the hassle whatsoever.
I'm deeply upset about the stress this has caused me. This seemed like an awesome company at first, so I was extremely caught off guard when they turned out to be a scam.
Stay away from this one at all costs.

VC ARE SCAMMERS!
I purchased a pair of Balenciaga triple S sneakers and sent them for QC check to their hub. I am not sure if they really checked the shoes but they confirmed that it's compliant and they sent the sneakers to me. When I received the shoes they were unglued and with a hole above the sole. I reported it to VC and their costumer support told me that I need to send the shoes back to them for a second check and they will refund me. After I week they informed me that there is nothing wrong with the shoes and they are matching the description of the seller. I am sorry but holes were nowhere visible or mentioned in the description. Seriously doubt the authenticity as well. Of course they didn't refund me but relisted the shoes on my account but they didn't mention that there is a hole so I will have to scam the person who is going to buy it. I just told them to sell it by themselves and to take the money. I am not going to wear shoes with holes, nor I am going to scam people. Never again buying from there.

Don't buy through Vestiaire.com
At the end of march, I bought a Louis Vuitton bag through Vestiaire Collective. In the discription it said that the condition was as good as new (very good condition) and no user marks. When I received the bag, I was dissapointed about the colour so I used the resale option and sold the bag whitin 3 weeks. I didnot check the quality enough because there were some using marks. But in the resale, because it was a resale, without provision, I did not change the discription, condition, price etc. when I put it one the site for sale. I did not use it so why should I? After the sale, I send the bag to Vestiaire to send it to the buyer but then it went wrong. According to the quality check, the condition was not correct, it was good instead of very good. I found that very strange because I had bought it at their site and had not used it in those three weeks. I started asking through the contact form how this was possible and looking for an solution. The buyer did not want the bag anymore so the bag was send back. So I was back were I started but with a bag that I can not sell for the price I bought it for and no possibility to sell without the commission. After I think 15 mails my side and receiving an email back but never receiving an answer to my questions I litterly gave up. I have tried to call but after 10 minutes from Holland to France, a voice told me it was to busy and the connection was disconnected. I have never been traeted so badly and therefor I am very dissapointed. I tried everything to find a solution but every time I received an email back that was not an answer to my question but they wished me a nice day, hounestly an insult. I want to warn every body not to use the site because if something goes wrong, you have a problem!

I bought a FENDI handbag and when it arrived, came without the shoulder strap. I wrote them asking to please contact the seller, because I was sure that he had forgotten to send it, they told me that the deadline has passed and they can not help me. Aside from this they took a long time to send the bag, much longer than estimated.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND VESTIAIRE

I noticed some very obvious high priced goods here are counterfeit items. It's aparent that VC DOES NOT authenticate properly. I can tell just by just looking at some of the Louis Vuitton and Hermes bags photos being sold by a Turkish seller here were fake. After traveling to Turkey recently, I realized that the country is world renowned for counterfeit high-end designer items as they are 30% of the economy. Sadly, the rest of us have to suffer from this theivery and VC is not taking responsiblity for protecting us from scammers. I am deleting my account after seeing that too many honest people are not being properly protected by VC who still profits off every transaction. I DO NOT SUPPORT ANY BUSINESS, whether knowingly or unknowingly, WHO PROFITS FROM ABUSES.

I have no clue where to start. For years I sold seamlessly on Tradesy, Poshmark and eBay and now that Tradesy is Vestiaire I have no choice. I sold LV shawl in good condition. Buyer requested to go to their quality control and they told buyer it has minor pulls ( mind you I put clear pictures of shawl with that on site) and it was micro pull but ok, buyer bailed and I lost sale. I received my shawl back but with extra hole where they (Vestaire) quality control team put their tag. When I contacted their CS via chat, she asked me to send pictures of before I shipped shawl. I am in shock, they put clearly their tag I sent them images and they pretend stupid. CS does't seem to ever understand English or gives straight answers. Another LV bag got rejected from sales but not clear reason. I realized and waiting. Again contacted CS and all they give me is robot answers. And this site makes quite a profit from us sellers yet they treat us poorly. I will try to limit or totally leave Vestaire for good. Too bad Tradesy is gone. They were not perfect but at least you could talk to live customer service on the phone and not robots

I just bought a grey Marni bag from VC, but had my doubts about it when I received it - the bag was listed as 'Trunk' style but I don't think it was, the clasp is different and I couldn't find examples of the style I purchased online. The leather felt very dry and the bag appeared to be brand new although I purchased a 'good condition' item The seller also accepted my first offer. I was very suspicious of it's authenticity, so, with some difficulty I managed to get permission to send it back to VC for re inspection. I dropped the bag on Thursday to a DHL hub, they received it on Friday and today I got a full refund - but no explanation... The worrying thing is that the bag is probably fake and they passed it on inspection, I find that most concerning that they let items slip by, and I'd really like an explanation.

I've been shopping with them for many many years.
Pros: They have the best selection of all resale sites.
Cons: Their fees are getting more insane year by year. They force you into paying a "authentication fee" for $25. They also force you to pay customs upfront which is OFTEN overestimated in my experience. If this is the case, I have been reimbursed the difference after hounding them down. Customer service in general is atrocious/non-existent. The fact that they make a commission off the seller, and then a hefty $25 per item, overcharge on shipping, and overcharge on prepaid customs, is appauling. ALSO they only ship items one at a time now, so you have to pay for shipping separately on every order. What else... OH YES. So currently, you have to pay taxes AND import duties for your items at checkout. Yes, you have to pay double the tax. I wish people would use just about ANY OTHER website to sell their items, because Vestiaire is the worst - they do have a good selection though.
Also they used to have a "premium members" thing where you could get free shipping, but they've removed that too. I hate this website/company quite a lot.
Tip for consumers:
Honestly best to avoid using it if possible.

Dear Per, we would like to inform that customs and shipping fees will be required by the carrier directly. We kindly inform that customs fees will be calculated, depending on three factors such as your location, the seller's location and the price of the item. We also need to inform that items are shipped separately for parcel insurance purposes. We'll remain available for further questions or requests regarding customs fees.

My latest experience with Vestiaire Collective Uk has been horrendous. I sold a watch on 14th Jan 2024. I sent the watch together with the guarantee card and Vestiaire received the watch on 16th Jan. Then they asked me further proof of authenticity. Their online form asked me the date of purchase, I think it's clear that date of purchase is the start date of guarantee?! I am shocked they asked me for this info even they received the guarantee card. I then tried to reach them but it has been a nightmare. First, the so-called 24 hours CS livechat never replies responsively. Second, the CS support email chat asked me again and again for info that I have already provided. Third, the expertise email address DOESN'T work. THEN at the same time I received a 2nd email from their expertise team asking me again for proof of authenticity….Most angry fact is that the 1st email from its expertise team says if they don't receive your reply w/in 4 days they will treat you as not able to provide further info. BUT as I said already the expertise's email address DOESN'T work.
It seems to me inside the company they don't want what each other has been doing. It has been a nightmare, after 4 days I still don't know what has been going on.

I ordered a wallet from Vestiaire Collective on 7th September 2022. Authentication took A LONG LONG TIME - after reading reviews I'm not even sure the authentication is really done.
They shipped using Fedex, and they LOST my parcel. There's nothing I can do about it and I contact Vestiaire Collective. The agent keeps changing and I have to REPEAT MYSELF OVER AND OVER. After they assured me yesterday (5 oct 2022) that a refund will be issued IF THEY ARE UNABLE TO LOCATE IT AFTER 7-15 DAY, TODAY (6 oct 2022) THEY UPDATED THE STATUS OF MY ITEM TO DELIVERED EVEN THOUGH ITS STILL PENDING AND NOT YET DELIVERED AT ALL.
I paid hundreds of dollars for my item and it's just money wasted. This just feel like a FREAKING SCAM. Just avoid at all costs and pay a little more for the item from the boutique. This isn't worth the mental stress and lost money.

Don't trust this app!
I resell second hand designer/vintage clothing.
I live in Australia, however, all my items are listed in EURO not AUD.
Vestiaire confirmed this with me multiple times and on the emails and app it showed as EURO.
On one email, it showed as AUD and I quickly went to their support chat to rectify this.
The difference between AUD and EURO is quite substantial, so instead of receiving $200AUD I ended up receiving $126AUD. I was under the impression I was selling my items as EURO, not AUD.
They then said no it's all in AUD and the app was wrong - what? How? I put it in myself how is it wrong?
Now everytime I join an online chat to ask them for an update, every customer support agent would leave the chat and not help me.
It has been almost 7 months now and they still haven't responded or bothered to help me.
Just use depop or grailed, literally craigslist is a better option.
