So far, my shopping experience has been very good. The delivery times are a bit long, but it's understandable since the items come from another country or continent. A very good app for buying clothes.
My experience with your company has been nothing short of a nightmare. You dragged out my sale for over four months, and when I finally got my purse back, it was in terrible condition due to your carelessness. To make matters worse, after all that time, you had the nerve to call it a sale and insulted me with a mere $25 payout. I've never been treated so poorly by any company before. Your customer service was not just unhelpful—it was downright dismissive and incompetent at every step. This has been an absolute disaster from start to finish. Before and after pictures
I have been selling with Vestiaire for some years now and the service used to be good. I am a VIP customer so in September 2020 I sent 13 Designer clothing from Chanel to Saint Laurent from season 2019 so most of them brand new. Since 29 September 2020, all my 13 Articles are showing as sold but they are not sold because i have not been paid. Also, they put so little prices on them that i might as well throw them in the bin. I have contacted my VIP representative 8 times. I have contacted them via Chat 10 times. To this date, my articles are still showing as sold.
These are my 13 Articles showing as sold for 3.5 months now but they must be lost or stolen. Because, they do not get back to me.
Even at little prices, the clothes are worth over Euro 5000. I have now realised that they must have lost my designer clothes as the timeline for dealing with an enquiry is 72 hours. I have now emailed again and demanded full payment - an insurance claim. It is disgraceful service. Once the issues are resolved, i will never sell them again. I have also withdrew a Dior coat from sale 8 months ago. I am still waiting for it to be returned. As well, when i first started selling, i shipped a Dior Classic handbag with Fedex to be safe. It was signed and received but Vestiaire claimed that it was never received. Clearly, someone stole the bag. Don't buy or sell with Vestiaire. Disgraceful service.

This was my first time ordering and I was very impressed. The seller that I worked with was great. His communication was excellent and he shipped the item immediately. It was a phenomenal experience.

Terrible first (and last) experience on this website. Price was displayed in Euros since it's the currency on my account. I made an offer to a seller, which was accepted in EUROS! Once at the checkout page, PayPal, which was an option offered as a method of payment, was disabled and I could not click on it. Moreover, there was no option available for installment payments as advertised on their website so the only option for me was to pay upfront with card or Alipay... But this is not the most surprising part! The climax of my customer experience happened when the price (that I was supposed to pay in euros) magically switched in dollars on the invoice. I did not immediately notice that from euros to dollars, there was a difference of more than $60. Since I have a US bank account, I used my US card and billing address but immediately reached out to the support to get a refund of the price difference. They just denied the issue, did not take any responsibility, and just ignored my refund request. I asked to cancel the order, they answered they could not do anything but try to reach out to the seller. This is so bad! This company is stealing and cheating customers out of money by changing the currencies behind their back. This is theft!

I wanted to purchase a puffer jacket on the site, which I was very keen on. The seller and I agreed to a price of 340 euros. I'm from HK and that converted to HKD 2789 as per XE.com on the day. When I offered HKD 2789 with the make an offer function, it appeared as 300 euros for the seller. And when she counter offered at 340 euros, it appeared at HKD 3079. 52 for me. That is a 10% increase/discrepancy on the price due to exchange conversion. Exchange rates can fluctuate but not by such a significant amount. I chatted to 2 customer service agents for an hour with a lot of stock standard platitudes and absolutely no useful help. They told me it was not their issue as they used a separate company for exchange rates. One of them told me that they calculate the exchange rate based on the day of item posting and sent me that rate, which still worked out to be 333 euros not 300. They offered no answer apart from that they are constantly improving their site and to send an email to their team, which I did and no response. The service was appalling to say the least. Of more concern is that both the buyer and seller are losing a high percentage of money based on the exchange rate used. This is over and above the seller fee they buy and the authentication fee they charge the buyer. There is no disclaimer visible mentioning that a significantly higher rate is used which is very unethical. If I didn't happen to discuss the price with the seller, I would have never known this extra charge.

Dear J T, we are getting back to you regarding currency conversion. Please note that that a first conversion to a euro standard is operated by our financial partner. We recommend our members to use our location filter and choose a seller located in your country to avoid any rate exchange and shop locally. Thank you for your understanding,

Was not very pleased I'm new to this site and purchased my first order through 4 payments, however I was not allowed to use that option for this order! Why not?

Dear Margie, we kindly inform that rate payment -and any other payment option- will be managed by the payment provider. For rate payments, kindly note that the payment needs to be first validated by the payment provider. In this case, we'd recommend checking on refusal details with the provider directly. Thank you for your attention,

I am based in Australia and recently bought an expensive vintage watch from a private seller in England through Vestiaire Collective. Having read many reviews, I was very apprehensive about the company but I am pleased to say I am impressed with how the transaction was handled. The seller was very helpful, keeping me updated throughout the process until the item left VC in France. I also made sure to keep in touch with VC that everything that the seller included in the original package was included as I had read about some bad experiences people had had previously with missing packaging, documents etc. Every time I got in touch with VC, I received a response to my question within 48 hours and a survey subsequently asking for feedback on their customer service; perhaps a sign they are reading some of the negative reviews on websites like this and trying to do better... It did take about 7 weeks from purchase to receipt of the item, however most of this was due to the logistics companies making errors. I was also concerned who would be responsible if the watch was lost during transit and found no answer on the site; upon asking VC however, I was told they have insurance policies in place to cover this, just in case anyone else was wondering! It may be that my queries were prioritised due to the high value of my purchase; however I found VC to have acted and communicated consistently throughout the somewhat long process and would buy through them again.

I've had good experience on Vestiaire. I like the variety to choose from. And I like being able to narrow down my colors sizes materials conditions, e.g.

I purchased the Gucci Jackie bag here, and today when I wanted to resell it, I was informed by Gucci employee that it is fake. I payed Vestiare to do Authenticity control. I also bought there Prada and LV bags, but I am terrified they are fake too, because obviously they don't do the Authenticity control, even if you pay for it :( :( :( I hope, I will get my money back and they do authenticity control for my other purchases :( It is dreadful experience and huge disappointment.

Vestiaire did everything possible to ignore the true fabric content of the nylon bag after I sent numerous photos and descriptions that the bag was improperly labeled as linen, when it is in fact, it is nylon. Vestiarire made the return process long and difficult with many different agents involved. No one helped at all. In designer bags there is no product code sewn into the Prada bag. I sent photos of the care instructions and authenticity card to show fabric content. After I established that the bag was in fact improperly represented as linen they mentioned the bag "does not justify a return" because I purchased from an individual seller. The rightful return was never approved, and then they threw in the single seller obstacle. There is no support for buyers, and Vestiaire will will not issue a return when it is legitimate. Vestiaire is not about doing the right thing, by the customer who spend money. Vestiaire is about keeping seller money for profit and they have loop holes. Vestiaire does not live up to buyer protection policies when an item is not as described, and I will never deal with them again. Buyer beware! They will not support your claims. I hope someone benefits from my poor experience.

I have credit that transferred from Tradesy to Vestiaire and I have been trying to use it ever since. I have made three attempts with horrible results. The authentication process is garbage. The first bag was a Gucci Dionysus the seller failed to mention in writing or show in photos that it was missing a Crystal. It passed authentication and then I had to jump through hoops to return. Second bag was a similar Gucci Dionysus I asked the seller if all crystals were in tact, seller said yes. No mention of missing crystal in description or in photos. Bag arrived after authentication with a missing crystal - had to return this one as well. Third attempt was a Gucci Guccisima bag that arrived after "authentication." The leather was cheap (felt like vinyl), the bag reeked of chemicals, the booklets had different product numbers than the actual item purchased, and it failed Gucci's nfc Authenticator process. I returned the bag and they relisted it saying it was authentic! It has been miserable trying to use this credit, I feel like I've lost $950. Doesn't feel trustworthy to buy from them at all!

Update on DvF Dress bought on Vestiaire Collective
I should add that the DvF dress I posted below passed quality control. If VC can let a dress with very huge stains and holes and tears passed through quality control I don't know what else will not pass.
See post below (author H F) for photos
It is not cheap. About GBP200 so it is a real rip off. The seller is Miriam - don't buy from her and the so call quality check from VC is useless
I was told to send the dress back "as an exception" where they will "re-examine" the dress.

This site is the absolute worst. I've tried twice to list my Goyard bag. I've followed their guidelines to a T and each time, I received a response saying, 'After being carefully considered by our expert team, we were not able to list it as we require some extra photos in order to be able to publish the listing. Please feel free to upload your listing again with the photos previously requested.' I've included details about every defect/damage/discoloration, etc. about the item, in addition to including multiple detailed pictures (10-12). It would really help to know why EXACTLY my item was not acceptable to list. At first, I thought it was because they thought the bag looked too worn to be able to sell, but when comparing other similar bags that are for sale in the same condition category, my item looked to be in much better shape. For example, some of the bags for sale had holes in the corners and the paint was badly faded. My bag does not have any holes, the paint has not faded and the straps and piping are not torn, ripped or cracked. In fact, I like to err on the side of caution and was debating on whether to list it in good or fair condition but I chose 'fair' to be on the safe side. I just don't understand their criteria. They really need to work on transparency. Also their customer service is a joke. It's beyond frustrating to use this site and I've given up.

I purchased a Bvlgari ring from VC, which was obviously was at a substantial price. When I received the item, I was stunned by the poor quality and clearly was a fake. I took the ring to Selfridges Bvlgari boutique to one of the sales I know very well of - she said they cannot guarantee but this is 99% a fake. On this ring, you can even see gaps of metal joints, 'diamonds' were badly aligned, powders came off the mother of pearl, number of claws on diamonds are not correct, the ring surfaced were dented as well... After I sent this ring back with several pages of pictures explaining the obvious differences between this fake and authentic rings - after 10 days of receiving the return and my explanation, they finally came back and still accepted ring as authentic. Do they even know that many Asian factories use real gold, cheap but real diamonds etcs to fake expansive jewllery? But if you know the craftsmanship and quality of an authentic ring, differences are obvious. Completely beyond me, how does this website do their checks? Does their 'experts' know anything at all? Extremely alarming. So I would tell anyone off if you wish to buy any piece of expansive jewelry, watch or Hermes bags - this website cannot be trusted.

I should prefix my review by saying that I'm a top seller with VC, ( Expert seller badge) with a 100% quality compliance record and I've sold thousands and spent thousands with VC. That said, the treatment that I receive from the company is just appalling. I recently sold a pair of sugar stack Paloma Picasso Tiffany diamond earrings to a buyer ( for a very good price) and everything went smoothly until the "Quality check" sent me a message saying that one of the "rhinestones" ( which was inaccurate as they are diamonds) was missing and this ultimately led to the cancellation of the purchase. I was terribly confused as I sent the earrings in perfect condition. Turns out that they 1st: misrepresented the diamonds as rhinestones to the buyer and 2nd: removed one of the diamonds themselves and later blamed me for a "missing diamond." So now the damaged 5750€ earrings are being return, leaving me with the task of paying to have them repaired at Tiffany & Co. The entire ordeal has been incredibly careless and unprofessional. They ruined a sell, misrepresented the earrings, damaged the earrings and blamed me and now I must pay the price

I was naive and believed the website when they said they had authentication to make sure the goods on their website were real. I bought a Gucci Cap and was planning to also buy a bag until I started to see negative reviews. That's when I started to get skeptical so I enlisted the help of an authenticator to check the cap and bag-guess what, both fake. I did not purchase the bag but the cap was already a done deal so I emailed them in order to cancel the order as it was still in transit and had not yet been authenticated by their team'. I even called up to let them know and guess what happens- their so-called team deems the item as authentic and it's now ready for shipping. I call again and the consultant tells me she'll stop the shipping and send me an email. (Albeit in a dismissive tone.)Guess what happens- at 2am that morning the item gets shipped! Great! I knew they would mess it up too! I have called again and FINALLY talked to a consultant who did not seem dismissive and useless like the other ones (thanks Alex)- the item has been shipped but they can give me a prepaid shipping package, so if they don't keep their word for it, things will seriously hit the fan because I have been stressing and worrying about this for days. Not to mention other poor customers who don't realise the stuff there is fake, I mean, the bag I authenticated is still on the website. Just, don't buy anything from here. Save the hassle. Trust me

The worst shopping/selling experience ever.
They sold me 2 fake pair of designer shoes noting that every time you buy you HAVE to pay 15eur authentication fees, and in the end you get fake items, so when i contacted them to inform them that the shoes i got (Valentino rockstud heels and D&G sneakers) didn't have any serial number and that they seem so fake, they assured to me that not all shoes should have a serial number to be authentic and that the shoes are authentic for sure, so i tried to sell the Valentino on their website and when it got sold and i shipped it to their warehouses, they refused it saying it's fake, and later on i sold an authentic Valentino which i bought myself from a Valentino store, they refused it saying it's fake, and every time i had to pay shipping fees, import fees back and forth so i lost an amount of around $1200 in the process.
Not to mention that they have the worst customer service ever with dumb automatic bot replies which are almost never related to your issue, plus they take forever to reply.
I've been using ebay and therealreal since years and they are excellent and very professional.
Vestiaire Collective is not recommended at all,
Unless you want to buy fake items and lose your money.
A total failure kind of business!

I have the worst experience ever from vestiaire app. I have sold a fendi hat 8 days ago, I am trying to verify my details since a week ago and I keep receiving errors on the app that I can not verify my details. After trying uncountable times, I keep receive the same error. The customer support department is unable to assist me. I am in contact with them, during the last 6 days and the only advice I am receiving from them, regarding the matter, is to try again and again. They have never paid me the amount of the hat I have sold. I told them to send my hat back to my address but they are refusing doing it nor pay me. The IT team of vestiaire advised that I didn't enter my address while trying to verify my account in order to get paid, while I have proven them that I did the steps correctly and entered all of the necessary details. I have sent screenshots several times showing that all the fields are correctly completed alongside with the error I am receiving at the end. Their only reply is to try again. The issue has never been resolved, my account has never been verified and I have never received the funds from the hat I have sold. The app is a scam and the customer support live chat is not efficient and assistive. Don't sell or buy anything from them. The whole situation was so stressful and waste of time (and money). Avoid this app.

I was a Tradesy member and agreed to be transferred to VC because I had unused credit. The credit was from a pair of expensive shoes i purchased and unfortunately did not fit. When I finally decided to use my credit on July 5, the code they gave me didn't work. After many exchanged emails, I was able to use my credit on 07/11. I purchased a bag that was never delivered. They made it extremely difficult for me to get my credit back. They asked for pictures of my driver's license etc. On 07/26, the issue was corrected. I purchased another bag on 08/02. Unfortunately, I did not realize the bag wasn't a cross-body bag. The style I mistakenly purchased was very similar to the cross-body bag I wanted to get. I contacted them on the same day upon opening the box. On 08/13, they asked me for a picture and a reply within 24hs, which I did. I sent them a photo on 08/14 as you can all see on the attached screenshot. Then on 08/14, they sent me the following message " Upon checking, the item was delivered on August 9 and you reported an issue the same day. My colleague replied to your email and were asking you to provide the photos of the issue but we did not receive any response from you in 96 hours. Therefore, your claim was automatically closed by the system. " I'm speechless. They simply don't want to take the bag back and are telling me I need to re-list it. I do not want to re-list the bag. They have the WORST customer service. I just want to use my credit and be done with this. And I'll never use this company ever again.
