Terrible
June 12, 2020

Despite requesting to return these items about 2 weeks ago, I still don't have the info to return them. I have no where to store them, which I noted in my original note. I finally received a response after 2 notes asking if I would like a $20 credit or to return them. I immediately responded that I wanted to return them, as stated in my initial 2 notes. Then no response. I followed up again, and received a response that it may take a few days to get back to me. At this point I'm about to dispute the charges with my credit card. These chairs are not only designed wrong, but smell really strong of petroleum finish. They are in the box, on my patio. I can not store them inside due to the smell and space constraints. They need to be returned asap.

Do not order from this company!

I ordered patio furniture. When it came, there were missing pieces. I understand situations like this could happen, however when I tried to call, during business hours, there was no answer and I have yet to receive a call or email back. Very disappointing to say the least. I have since contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge.

Crappy return policy and customer service. :/

This purchase was to replace a bench that was shipped broken. Their return policy forces you to package it up and ship back before replacement. This was for a 17' patio bench that was assembled, as well as all the packaging thrown out. I needed the bench the next day and agreed to a partial refund just because I had no other options. So now I spent twice as much on a product that was shipped faulty, and a return policy that SUCKS...

I received prompt and efficient help from VidaXL. I got a lot of material but as it turned out the materials were simply not suited for my business. We are far too narrow and the materials were way broad; not targeted enough.

I ordered the black coffee table and it arrived with a really nice scratch through the finish in the top of the table that I had to paint with black nail polish to hide. Then to make matters worst there were no instructions. Luckily I very mechanically inclined.

Quick hassle free service.

I needed a set of couches delivered with within a short deadline and trusted the estimated ship date set by the website. I was pleasantly surprised that the delivery date was met and my request for email confirmation quickly addressed after contacting customer service. I would definitely use this company for future furniture needs.

Upon purchase of a platform bed, we were notified that it would be delivered in two packages. Both packages had their shipping labels printed the day after, and the first one was then shipped according to the tracking information. A few days go by and we receive the first package, but the second was still only showing that the label had been printed, and not yet shipped. I then contacted customer support, who said that the second packages contents were out of stock and that we would have to wait another month for it to be in stock. We chose to return the product instead of waiting.

I got a really nice table from these guys. Beat everybody's price, local and web including the big A. Had a problem with the website later when shopping for something else. They responded quickly and voila! No problem.

Bad product
November 12, 2021

I got a pair of chairs from them. They looked pretty, we ensambles then according to instructions. Couple months later my husband set in one and the whole leg broke. I checked the other legs and the wood is splitting in most of the remaining legs. I been emailing back and forward and the want to refund me $17 for my troubles. I payed $250 for the 2 chairs. It's been a month of emails and is going nowhere. Very irresponsible.

vidaXL US attempted to help this customer through the Sitejabber Resolution Center, but the customer did not respond

Missing shed parts
January 28, 2023

I purchased a metal shed from a distributor of VidaXL on Ebay and did not try to assemble the shed for 10 months. The kit is missing (2) critical parts and VidaXL will not help to get replacement parts. I even offer to pay a fee for the parts. Very disappointed. Update: After several emails, vidaXL has now supplied the missing parts to me. Not sure why it took so much work to make this happen but, in the end they did make good on the deal.

Rabbit hutch
July 26, 2020

We bought this large rabbit hutch with 2 runs, the wood is flimsy, chipped and cracked. The tray that slides in is about an inch too big and won't fit. Wire was untrimmed and hanging off, see pictures. The website I purchases from wouldn't let me post a review. They probably get too many bad ones as they have an F rating on BBB. Which I didn't find out til after my purchase. Hoping this holds up to weather but I would not recommend or purchase from VidaXL.com again. And it took 3 weeks to get item even tho it shipped out the next day from ordering and getting in contact with customer service is nearly impossible.

Run, Don't buy

Yes the return policy says 30 day cooling off period, but they will make you jump thru hoops before you can return the item. Beware if the item is heavy, you will have to take it to UPS.
Bought an outdoor dining table & chairs, cheaply make, came damaged, paid $195.00, wasn't worth $25.00. Had to send pictures 3 different times, 20 plus emails, 5 texts, 4 chats with 6 days. Will see how long it takes for a refund. Tried to dispute charge with credit card company and they wouldn't deal with the company. Stay away-

I love my new outdoor couch! It is just as beautiful in person as it is online. We did have some issues with the direction on putting it together but once you figure it out it's not much to it. The UPS man broke the glass to our table and they replaced it with no problem. Had to manufacture defects but they also replaced it with no problem. Call about each issue I had and they responded very quickly. It was nice being able to talk to a person about my issues. I would definitely recommend VIDAXL and will buy from them again in the future.

Small and Unstable

The arbor we ordered was very short. So my husband and I (5'6" and 5'8") could not walk below it if installed properly because it doesn't rise up enough on top. We've tried everything less cement to keep it in place but it topples onto the ground with any breeze, much less New England weather. We contacted VidalXL about how to return but did not get a response. Apparently, we are out the time and money involved and will need to find something else, somewhere else.

I bought a bird cage that could be better described as a cheese grater. Upon unboxing, I discovered literally every component was a different dimension, and not a single piece actually fit.

Every metal screen was razor sharp on every surface, and my hands were sliced open several times.

I emailed them with a picture of my injuries, and asked for a refund. They assured me that my case had been sent to the "escalation dept" and I would have a response within 24 hours, but a week (and several emails) later, no one had contacted me.

This company is a complete scam, and a class action lawsuit is certainly in order!

Thankfully, my honest review on this site prompted vidaXL to reach out to me and make things right. They gave me a full refund and paid to have the hand pump returned. The customer service people who ultimately helped me were great to work with. I just wish it hadn't taken two months of my time and effort to get them to do what they promise to do in their own return policy. I'm upgrading vidaXL to 3 stars as a result. Again, the product itself was decently made and designed, but I still have questions about its safety and how much effort it took to return it. Sitejabber definitely brought about a positive outcome, and they deserve 5 stars!.

I ordered a hand water pump in early August, and it arrived poorly painted from a Chinese factory with paint chips falling off the interior of the pump. The pump also was incorrectly assembled and did not work. I immediately notified VidaXL of the safety issue and asked both for a refund and for this product's manufacturing to be reviewed for the safety of other customers. A month passed before I heard from anyone. It's been another three weeks, and my request for refund has still not been acted on after numerous unanswered emails.

Quality & Fast

I paid less than expected, It shipped really fast. The table is all mortise and tenon joints, a little sloppy but fine. They use stain to cover teak quality it easily sanded thru and hard to match. I recommend a top coat of some finish that will hold up better, I used lightly tinted marine Cetol made for teak, it came out beautiful. All in all a great value, my wife and I are very happy with the purchase.

Poor Service, Poor communication

Received table that was damaged and contacted company on their webpage for returns. Didn't get any response for four or five days. Submitted pictures two different times. Repaired the box item was shipped in and am still waiting for instructions to return. Poor service, poor communication.
