They collect the information very well, showed it with cheap promotion. I searched two cars, first one via plate number and the second other one via vin. Vin research worked pretty well. But plate number, as soon as I paid for the membership right after I search the first car and saw that the report is ready. There was nothing. Even if they sent another link that I can get the free record. I still doubt that was the best they could.
Site is an absolute scam. RUN AWAY. The $1 report produced absolutely nothing. Then, canceling the subscription is absolutely impossible. If you call, they tell you to ask the chat bot. If you chat, they tell you to email. In the email they send you to a link that doesn't work. SCAM. SCAM. SCAM.
Report is advertised for $1 but they charged me $24.95 instead. I immediately requested a refund and 22 days later, it's still in "high priority with the billing team". Moreover, the very next day, some other unknown company charged me $4.95 for "vin test results". I immediately blocked my card. They only steal your money and process unauthorized charges. And the Report I got for my car was useless.
Tip for consumers:
Do not give them your info!
They advertise one report for only $1.00 then charge you an additional $24.95
They automatically start a recurring charge that they never disclose the are going to do.
Their automated phone system says they've had a system error and hangs up

They charge 1.00 but then charge you 24.95 without anything in the site saying that its a 24.95 charge. This company is a site and did not provide any information that was need. Like vehicle lien... please beware. Then on your card it's shows LookUp
I was offered 1 report for $1, and told the monthly subscription would renew one month from that date. In addition to the $1, they immediately charged me $29.95 and $4.95. Their site only has some crappy automated chat, to which they don't respond. It generates an automated email to which they still don't respond. Having to dispute the charges with my bank. SCAM!
I paid for a $1 vin report months ago. They keep charging me $4.95, $9.95, $14.95 & $29.95 amounts over and over. The weird thing is that it's always under a different name but always something VIN related. The last one was from Track The Vin. I had to cancel my card to get it to stop. Hopefully, my bank can investigate and get me my money back.
The website says the look up is free. Then it will make you go thru the whole process and tell you that you owe a dollar. I paid the dollar because it's just a dollar. Then I was told that there were no results for my report. Immediately after, I realize that I was charged $25.00 for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! I never once agreed to this, the website specifically says $1.00 per report. Then they will charge you for an entire month without your permission. 100% a scam DO NOT USE THEM
Total scam! This company false advertises $1 dollar reports only to find out they charged me $1 twice, then $29.95. All at the same time. The report had no information about the car at all. I was able to get my refund in minutes only bc I harassed them about it. Now I'm afraid they will keep charging my card, avoid this website at ALL COSTS!
Tip for consumers:
Avoid at all costs. The hassle is not worth it

1. The $1 charge showed up in my account followed by a $25 charge.
2. The "report" was useless - on a 14 year old vehicle, their ownership records only accounted for 6 years, and showed NO service records.
When I emailed them to complain about the lack of information on the report, they emailed back saying "we sent report", attaching the same useless info.
Wish I'd have checked reviews first like I normally do...
DO NOT USE THESE CROOKS!
Tip for consumers:
Don’t
This site doesn't give what they say. Then when you cancel they still charge you $24.95 after the cancellation. Then they tell you that it will take 3 to 5 business day to look up. Then 7 to 10 business days for the refund... it's all just a scam to see if they can get away with taking your money... DO NOT USE THIS SITE!
Tip for consumers:
DO NOT USE THIS SITE... They do not provide what they say. Then when you cancel they go ahead and charge your card $24.95 right after you cancel. Its just a scam to see if they can get away with taking your money...

The service was fast and very informative and cheap too.
They claim other sites charging $40 for a report are ripping you off. In the pay $1 checkout section they have a faint greyed section that says "$1 initial report $29.95 every 2 weeks" and they charge you $1 then moments later a second transaction for the $29.95. Then when you cancel they say they don't offer refunds.

Same story as 100 others, same scam. Live chat takes u in circles. Email never arrives, refund promised everytime...only to passify you, cost is $1 then charged $29. Two days later charged 4.95 for test results? I was taken hook line and sinker. My bank is never supportive. Already reported them to cfpb...for zero customer support. So no help there. Closing card to avoid more cost. Closing bank account. Angry, robbed, zero solution. Reported to fed trad comm. That is why this continues. No one reports them.
They would continue to charge your account various amounts until you block your card. Apparently from they have changed their name to 'searchresult prospect US'. That's the merchant showing on my credit card statement. They are a complete fraud! Please avoid by all means.
I purchased the auto vin review from this site for $1
You can only view it online which is OK for $1 but you have to pay for downloading or printing.
The BIG problem is, just after I paid the $1 charge on my CC I started getting warning about rejected charges for 29.95 & 4.95
Beware of this company
First it's free, then it's $1 then you pay the $1 and they charge your card $29.95! Try to cancel and of course the live chat bot says a team member will email and they never do! A month later and they are trying to charge me $29.95 again! Be better off buying a lemon then giving these people access to your account. Wish could give minus a million stars!
Tip for consumers:
I wish could give minus stars! Don't like giving them even 1 star, it's too many!

This is a car history report website
I paid for one report at $1. The next day I was charged 29.95. I immediately called in to complain and get reimbursement and stop my subscription that I didn't know that I had signed up for. 30 days later the process repeated. I had to change my debit card to stop this from happening again. Please save your money and don't be fooled!
Read the site about the $1 vin report. Ordered one (1) report that didn't tell me much more than the free Vin reports. Was charged $1.00. THEN was charged $29.95. Contacted customer service through Live Chat, and was told I had signed up for "biweekly service". I said I did NOT. No credit was received after 1 week of constant chatting with the company. Had to have my bank dispute and get a new debit card. TERRIBLE COMPANY
I was able to receive a quick report, however, the site shows a misleading price since it says that would cost only $1.00 per report and by the of the transaction the charge you a subscription of $29.95 without even telling you. So what a surprise when you go and check your bank!
False advrtising! They gaff you with "completely free". After you provide your personal info, they want to charge you $1. They actually say "beware of companies that claim to be completely free". WTF!
Advertising entity VIN History USA (vinhistoryusa.com) Advertises in bold letters why it charges $1 instead of being a no charge site. It says that by charging a dollar it can provide much better quality vin information.
The information provided is quite thin, practically nothing on the search I conducted. But, the crime is that they subsequently steal $24.99 from your card for which you entrusted them. Effectiviely, they get people to trust them to provide credit card information, then they steal $24.99 from them.
The named billing entity on my card is HOUSE DATA FINDER. My guess is, as the billing entity name is different than reported below is that the prior business name or business names were stripped by its credit card processor due to high volume disputes.
These folks are outright thieves. I plan to contact the state consumer board. It's outrageous they are in business and that google does business with them.
Tip for consumers:
Take the time to either find no charge sites, or pay a fee to a legitimate established VIN data seller (ex: Edmonds)

Offered free VIN report, then told me it would be $1. Decided to pay the $1 for a report. They generate a report and before you can see it, you have to give them your email, address, and phone to email you the report. As soon as I did this they charged me $24.95 additional for something? I assume a membership that they say nothing about. Now I have to dispute charges and deal with that headache. Don't deal with them. They should be shut down.

Be carful to the service.
And even worst, 2 days later I found another charge from an unknown source. I fully believe either they sent my credit card information to others or they may simply charged my card for anything else.
I was trying to get a copy of a report for 1 Vin for a car we are considering purchasing. It said $1 for this Free report...Nothing was said about $29.95. Company is charging the $1 & another $29.95 to my credit card. Which my card flagged luckily. I call the Cancelation number listed, it's invalid. Cannot be completed as dialed. Call another # listed for Customer service & it's invalid. I should have flagged it myself when PayPal & other forms of payment were unavailable.Beware, this is a scam!
Tip for consumers:
Run.. Stay away from this scammer site.

I wish that I knew how these scam sites are able to continue to scam people even with so many complaints. Do not give them or any of your information. It seems all of the VIN sites do the same thing. They charge you and then keep charging, and they make it incredibly difficult to cancel. I got zero information from the vehicle that I was trying to look up and they changed me $29.99 plus $4.95 (for who knows what) an then another $29.99 for a monthly subscription. I had to go to you tube to learn how to cancel it. Within an hour, it was cancelled and they refunded me only $29.99, and so they still managed to keep $35 of my money for absolutely doing nothing. I filed a grievance with the better business bureau and they never responded to them. BBB closed the claim due to the lack of response. Beyond frustrating.
I received the report right away and it was easy to read!
