I didn't have any issues when it was Vudu. For months I haven't been able to log in to my account, every time I tried to reset password it would either not send me a link or it said the link was expired. I contacted customer support through email and phone to no resolve. I sent a message asking for assistance AGAIN and I got an email that they deleted my account!? I sent another message asking for a refund or another account with the same stuff I bought but I have no hopes of getting either. This is why for years I used physical media and now that's what I'm going back to. So frustrating!

Login server has major issues, and tech support fails to respond to numerous requests for assistance. Call support line and they will put in an hour-long queue … and then disconnect you before you can speak with anyone.
Same thing happens when using their online real-time support system.
Email requests are ignored. It's as though they get a perverse pleasure from screwing with their customers.

My account got hacked on Jan 3rd and someone used my account to rent a movie. I immediately changed my password and attempted to remove my payment method (PayPal). Not only do they not offer 2-factor authentication to log in, but they don't even ask for a PayPal login/password when charging the account, like nearly every other website who uses PayPal does, so anyone who can hack my account can use my PayPal to rent movies. I reported the incident immediately and asked them to remove my PayPal account from my payment methods. It's now Jan 27th, and after multiple requests, they still have done absolutely nothing and I now have two more fraudulent movie charges on my account. I have submitted the information requested (information they've had since first contact) multiple times, but they still refuse to act on this in any way. Even after changing my password to something much more complicated, the hackers are still using my account, which implies that it's either an inside job, or they have a pretty serious security flaw somewhere. I recommend nobody use them, or if you must, get them to remove your payment method ASAP and demand that they make it possible for users to delete their payment methods themselves, as I have done.

Vudu has absolutely terrible security and does nothing for their customers when this is pointed out.

The app sid I can't download an episode because I am outside the US (I am not!). I logged out and tried to log in again, but it wouldn't accept my password (I remain logged in on my Roku TV, but can't log in on my ipad). I contacted support to ask for my user ID to be changed to my current e-mail address, so I could use the reset password e-mail. Support mad the change and received the e-mail but, despite 3 attempts, I cannot log in successfully. An hour on the phone with support and I still can't log in. I made screen prints of an entire attempt at changing my password and logging in, but the Fandango support site has no place for me to attach them. I spent mamy hundreds of dollars buying 338 movies and 5 complete TV series and now I can't watch them on my Ipad.

I purchased the complete series bundle of Walker Texas Ranger for nostalgia reasons. It's corrupted. The video stays playing but huge pockets of sound are replaced with LOUD STATIC. This is over multiple devices. It happens in the exact same second of the episode on my phone, iPad, computer or tv. VUDU asked me all sorts of questions about my home video setup…then ghosted me. I've tried contacting customer service but they keep giving new issue #'s. I argue to attach my original issue # and they promptly hang up or end the chat. This company is shady and corrupt as the digital files that they sell.

Vudu has the worst picture quality of all streaming services. There customer service is by far the worst waited for 30 minutes for them to say they will send me a message with a number to help fix the problem. I definitely would recommend resetting your device and changing your password every month there is many problems with their service movies will shut down and lose sound. Also if you collect movies take a screenshot of your movies every week because they like to remove movies that you bought from your collection I can keep going but there are many better services like Amazon iTunes and even movies anywhere that are way better in prices and picture quality

My vudu has been requiring me to authenticate my membership multiple times a week, for no apparent reason. Vudu corporate seems unwilling to take any action and seems multiple people are having the same issue. I would avoid signing up with them at this time.

all they can say is their experiencing a problem, NO KIDDING! NO SOLUTIONS! No way to recover the couple of hundreds of dollars in films already purchased!

Signed up, bought like 6 movies to watch while on the plane as traveling is a part of life. Downloaded the movie, got on the plane and airborne and the movie stopped. Upon landing, called Vudu asking about the movies I Bought, not rented. Like $130. Was told that a connection with the server must be in place to watch said purchased movies. Well, $#*! on my whistle. I thought buying the movie was like buying a DVD, taking it home and watch it wherever/whenever. Explained to him that therefore they are lying and stealing as purchased movies are not "purchased" but merely rented at a highly inflated mislead cost. So, told him to delete my account and I hope he can find a better employer that has more honor than Vudu.

This is why I have a "stick it to the big man" mentality now and get my movies at a much reduced rate.

In recent weeks, I have tried numerous times to buy a movie or show. The payment method is just fine. However, within half a second of getting a purchase confirmation, I get a purchase error. My transaction is canceled every time. I tried to reach out Customer Support and got the same answers that were found on the internet. Nothing and no one has been helpful. It's a system error on their part, and yet, nothing is being done to resolve this issue. Their Virtual Assistant is a joke too. I was second in line and got pushed to 4th in line. And waited for over an hour to reach someone.

Downloaded the app to watch a movie for free. Had to create a new account because it said I already had a Fandango account but couldn't get it to work. I understood there are ads. BUT the ads don't play unless you touch the play button. So 30 minutes in there are 5 consecutive ads but each one doesn't play unless you are there to touch the play button, otherwise it just pauses until you do. This means you can't walk away or do something else while the ads are running. Very irritating, just deleted the app. No thanks Fandango. Oh, and couldn't find a way to delete the account and their junk emails have no unsubscribe link. No thanks and goodbye Fandango.

I ve purchased an older movie, Aliens for 5. Noticed that there is Aliens Special Edition for $5, a few lines down. Contacted Vudu's customer service and waited over an hour. Told them what happened and the clown said was we dont offer exchanges. It is litterally the same movie and the same promo pricing. I am not asking to switch to another movie nor was I asking for my money back. I ll think twice about giving my money to that company in the future. Might as well buy the 4k movies with digital codes. Vudu dont give a rats $#*! about their customers.

I bought an older movie that had bad language in it. This movie was only $5, but all the bad language was bleeped out and ruined the movie. Signed up and bought season one of Bless this Mess, doesn't seem to want to connect via my smart TV and high speed internet, although when I tried to log in via phone it played right away and my smart tv said another device is viewing. But still wont connect when on own, keeps saying error. If your business is not reliable dont charge people money!

Our account is still not working. We can no longer watch the movies we purchased. It's been almost 2 weeks since this ticket was first made. It should not take this long to correct the problem. I demand to speak with someone in charge who can fix the problem today without any further delays or excuses. Prior to this, we had been customers for 8 years, it's repulsive we are not able to view movies and TV shows that we paid for.
This is the worst customer service ever. Where is the supervisor?

I have purchased dozens of movies since before they changed from Fandango Now to Vudu. They replaced one of my purchased movies with a different one with the same title. Multiple contacts to customer service who lie and say they will escalate the matter. Then left hanging for half hour in the middle of a chat! They DO NOT CARE! You buy at your own risk! Never again!

I spoke with Clayton in customer service after my one year old bought a movie for $19.99. They answered quickly, understood my concern and reversed the charges without having to jump through hoops. I was very impressed by the experience. They also advised me about how to add a parental control (and set it correctly to "ALL RATINGS"). Thanks for the great customer service. I like app on our Roku, also!

Wow, reading the other reviews, I almost feel guilty.
I've never had a problem with the site. Maybe it's because I have Dish? I don't know, but we've watched all of the Walking Dead, Once Upon a Time, The Following, Blacklist, ect, all with no issues at all. It seems I'm certainly the exception to the rule here! I've Always had problems with Hulu, never with Vudu. Go figure.
My only complaint is the sites UI. Really confusing, difficult to store the movies, and shows you want to watch. I put them in my "Wishlist," which seems to work. Well, anyway, I've not had a problem, so take it with a grain of salt if you wish. Good here.

Vudu has a good selection of new release movies... and you're able to buy movies before they are released anywhere. BUT, who can buy every movie? AND they don't have captions. Even worse, it costs $5 to rent a movie in HDX... for only 24 hours. If they rented HDX for $3 for 48 hours, so it was more competitive with Redbox. I'd never rent from Redbox again. Vudu... you could put Redbox out of business. But, not at the moment.

After signing up with vudu, I started receiving dozens and dozens of junk email daily. I unsubscribe to each of them but they keep coming. If you value what little privacy you have with your email account, do not sign up with vudu as they apparently sell it to every hog, dog and frog there is!
