Poor Customer Service
February 13, 2020

3 weeks ago I bought what the Wairfair website said was a fireplace tv stand as a "guest" at checkout. What was delivered to my house was a tv stand with only shelves. I called to replace the shelves tv stand for the fireplace, which the sister-company Joss & Main instructed me to just purchase the fireplace on THEIR website, which I did, they also said they had sent me the refund form for the shelves, once I printed the tags to return the shelves, I realized they didnt have the right information to refund me for this purchase because it was a "guest" account, they were going to refund the purchase to some random card number, after battling on the phone and through countless emails with them about this the last 3 weeks, I have come to the conclusion I am now the owner of BOTH tv stands because they cant seem to get their system to show the correct info, therefore telling me its MY fault this all happened and I will not get refunded for the product that was incorrectly sent to me. I will never purchase from Wayfair or Joss & Main again. I do not recommend you do either.

Email I sent directly to wayfair:

I have ordered from you multiple times and EVERY SINGLE TIME you have messed up. I always have hope that your company will get their act together, but every time I order from you, something goes wrong. This past order was supposed to arrive today. I got notified TODAY that my rug wouldn't be sent out for close to two weeks even though I was supposed to receive it TODAY. My curtains were supposed to be delivered to my house. Instead, they got delivered to a local Krauszers where I have to go PICK THEM UP MYSELF tomorrow if I have time. Ive been home all day and no one tried to even deliver them here. Its ridiculous. The last time I tried to order a rug from you about a month ago, you sent a completely different rug and tried to rationalize it by telling me on the phone that the one I wasted wasn't in stock so you decided to send a different one. WHAT. You've got to be kidding with that. When I had to return it, I never received my refund, so I had to call and remind you TWICE. You've also sent me a vanity I ordered with MISSING PIECES and the replacement pieces took almost a month to arrive. Once I receive this order, I will no longer be a customer of yours. I will not recommend you to anyone I know. In fact, I plan on doing the exact opposite. Thanks for nothing Wayfair.

We ordered a sofa on the 15 Sept which was FINALLY delivered on the 15th Nov and after waiting for 2 months it was the wrong colour... Brown instend of beige...

I Reordered a replacement on the same day 15th Nov and still waiting for it, on the same day of reordering, I requested to cancel the order as delivery was saying Christmas eve, and I found another sofa on there web in the outlet part which was available within a few days...
We ordered this on our credit card and was assured that the replacement sofa would be canceled and our card refunded...

Still trying to CANCEL and no luck so far even though its showing its on BACK ORDER until the 12 Jan... I feel they are doing everything they can so it can't be canceled...

No one can call the warehouse in poland, all they can do is send emails to request the order to canceled...

I've spent as much time and energy on this and NO ONE at the company can help and get this CANCELLED... They are saying I have to wait for it to be delivered and then refuse the delivery... REALLY, its beyond me... BEWARE... There must be so many UNHAPPY customers out there, If they run there company like this...

Buyer Beware! Paying less doesn't payoff!

I ordered dining room chairs and a kitchen cart and paid through Wayfair for Handy to assemble. Issue #1 Dining chairs came with the wrong legs and Wayfair wouldn't correct that day. Told the outsourced company wants to handle it and they will email me tomorrow or the next day. Not acceptable! Their issue with the supplier. They should arrange to have correct items sent out today. We just moved and have no chairs for eating. Issue #2 When I placed my order I added the assembly cost. For one, the website does not say this is an outsourced service. During purchasing I chose a date and time range for assembly. I got an email from Handy to with a different date and time. I was able to download the Handy app and change it. THEN, the technician texted me the day of asking if I could change the date to the next day because she had other jobs in my area. I agreed even though my husband had stayed home from work to meet her. She told me to contact Handy (gave me a number to call) and tell them the time had been changed. When I called them they said they couldn't change the date/time in the system but if the technician and I had worked it out, okay. Well, guess what. My husband stayed home from work again and she never showed up. Two hours after the expected time, I texted the number she had contacted me on twice to ask why she hadn't shown up. No response. I then called Wayfair--remember I purchased directly from them--and was told they couldn't refund my cost and I would have to contact Handy for a refund. SO, I called Handy and they told me since the computer showed the installation had already happened, they would have to process the refund and could only refund in the form of a check which would take approximately 5 weeks to go out. Bottom line, Wayfair outsources everything! And, if the price is much less than you find elsewhere, the products and customer service are why! I wish I had spent a little more for better quality, actually just the correct items and service. So many issues and customer service said on both issues they couldn't correct the issues. My hard learned advice: Buyer beware! Paying less did not pay off.

I recently purchased a sectional online from Wayfair for a posted price. They charged my credit card, sent me an email stating that my purchase had been processed, and notified me that I would be receiving shipment of the item within a set date range. I made this purchase on the 24th of September, and the price was set at $234.99. I then received an email stating that my purchase had been cancelled on the 29th, with no explanation. My money was refunded to my card, but there was no explanation of what had happened.

I emailed customer service for more information on what had happened, and they stated that they had accidentally posted the incorrect price. The new price was $1199. 99, a difference of $965.00! I had been looking at that particular couch for several weeks, and the price had always been $234.99. I had even asked for a "back in stock" notification placed on the item, and the pricing had stayed the same throughout that time. When I was notified that it was back in stock, it was still at the price that I agreed to when I submitted my purchase, $234.99. After I expressed my displeasure they then offered me 15% off, which comes nowhere near covering the cost difference between what they are currently offering the product for and what I had agreed to pay for the item. I actually think that 15% is what they offer new email sign ups on their site, so it was a bit insulting on top of the actual problem.

I think that the company acted in bad faith when they offered the item for a set price, then changed it after the fact. If the situation were reversed then I would have been held to my end of this contract, and I feel that the company should have to be held to the same standard. I WOULD NEVER buy from this company. You may be duped into falling in love with something only to have them yank it out from under you or demand more money if you actually want the product!

My husband and I use Wayfair quite a bit. We ordered a vanity and it came damaged, we contacted them on 5/7/22, sent pictures, and we were told that Non Stop would be giving us a call to set up a pick up date in 2-3 business days. 5 days later I called Wayfair and explained we did not receive a call. I was told that they tried to call me on 5/12/22 and they sent me an email. I looked through my call log, no unknown missed calls, voicemail and no email. I gave them the benefit. Was told that I would get a call in 3-5 business days, again, and to look out for an email if I miss Non Stop's call. Again I called on day 6 and sat on hold while they "got in touch with Non Stop". Today I call because I have not received a call and I tried contacting Non Stop-it's all automated no person- I spent an hour on the phone and was told that Mario spoke to Non Stop and they would reach out in 3-5 business days and there was nothing more that Wayfair could do. He asked if I wanted Non Stop's number, I verified what I had with him and he said that was the correct number, I asked why he could speak to someone and I could not... He did not have an answer. I told him that I was not ok with another 3-5 business days, and that we have been storing a large piece of furniture for several weeks, (mind you he is a "manager") and he said there was nothing more that he could do to help us. I asked for someone above him and he said that there was no one. He kept speaking above me, he would not listen when I asked who was accountable for the failure, Non Stop or Wayfair, he said Non Stop. Wayfair is accountable for all 3rd party businesses they use! I don't even know where to go from here... Anyone have any ideas...

I'm out $600

I purchased 5 lighting fixtures through Wayfair using my phone. I went through the normal purchase process, I had to add a new credit card and address. I received a confirmation email and the link to on top of the email didn't work, but I wasn't too concerned. I later received a shipping notification from Wayfair with FedEx tracking number links on top of the email, those did not work. I was supposed to receive the items on Monday and nothing arrived. I decided to give them a break because I know shipping is slow due to the COVID-19 virus. Saturday came and I started to look into it more. I had received an email from Wayfair stating that the items arrived on the previous Saturday. It had a link to my order number, again, it didn't work. So I logged into my Wayfair account. The items went to an address that I had not lived at for 5 years. And my less than 1 year old credit card was charged with that same old address. That old address was never even associated with that card, but it was still charged and still went through. I called customer service and they were no help. I explained to them that I added my new address and new card information, but apparently everything resorted back to my old address. They even stated they know that their links are not working, but if I scrolled to the bottom of their emails, I should have verified my information there. And somehow they were still able to bill me, even though the billing address did not match on my credit card. So I'm out $600. I was told if I called sooner that they would have been able to do something with FedEx, but now it was too late. So I was not able to verify my information using any of their broken links, they charged my card using incorrect billing addresses, and now I'm out $600. O, by the way, no signature was required for delivery of a $600 order. I'm in the military and do a lot of online shopping, I will be briefing this experience with everyone.

I ordered a gaming chair from Wayfair. Paid almost $300 for the chair and when the chair got to my place it was missing a piece plus the chair didn't look like the one they advertised online. I also paid for the assembly service as I am a petite woman and can't assemble a big chair. When they finished assembling the chair the back of the chair didn't align with the bottom plus it was missing on piece. I contacted Wayfair that told me they would refund me the money and if I didn't hear from them in two weeks that I could donate the chair. 3 weeks have passed and I was going to take the chair to Goodwill but I decided to contact them another time to make sure. At this point they told me that I would have to return the chair, disassemble the chair and take the heavy chair to the post office in one week or they would charge me again for the money they had returned without never contacting me about. The lady called Kimberly apparently a manager even hanged the phone on me. I never experienced worse customer service in my life. Now I will have to pay someone to disassemble this chair and take to the post office for me. Wayfair used to be a good website as I purchased some furniture there in the past and they had great customer service but I won't be purchasing nothing from this website ever again as they don't sell what they advertise and could care less about their customers. I wanted to return the chair if they could come and take the chair apart for me the same way they put it together but they don't care if you get stuck with a chair that is missing one piece plus doesnt look nothing like the chair they advertise on their website. I don't trust this company anymore and I will make sure I spread the word around among my friends and customers.

So I have had nothing but issues with Wayfair/Joss & Main. I ordered a couch on April 5th, waited over 2 months, had 2 delivery dates that I took off work for and never recieved my couch which ended up being lost by the warehouse. If you would like to read about my predicament with Wayfair/Joss & Main in detail, look for my other review, "COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY". Anyway, I ended up cancelling the item on 6/11/16 where I received an email saying someone would contact on the first business day, which should have been the following Monday. When that didn't happen I called on Wednesday, 6/15/16 about getting my money returned to me. Whoever I spoke with said it would take 3-5 business days to see the refund in my account. Well today is the fifth business day and I have spoken with one Wayfair rep who said she didn't why it hadn't shown up in my bank. I then called my bank and they have no record of any refund, I then spoke with second wayfair rep. According to the second rep my refund wasn't processed until today... So when I called last week nothing was done until I called AGAIN and the first rep was the one to actually process my refund, a week later and then tried to hide that fact that nothing was done last week. I will never do business with Wayfair/Joss & Main again and I recommend that you don't either.

This company is a scam.
I did open a Wayfair account like a year ago, during that time I've been ordering some small stuff and have been waiting for Christmas time to come so I can order a huge order for my kitchen and by using the "promotion " I've could save some win. Win, but unfortunately after ordering the kitchen set few minutes later I'd received a email that my order has been canceled because of unmatched billing address, ok I've made sure and I updated my address with Comenity Bank and also trough the wayfair web site and I called the customer service so we've made three way call to the bank and wayfair to figure out who has what info so the bank verified the correct address and the wayfair lady was like aa ok let me re-order the stuff then after been on a hold for 35 min she came back and told me that they can't re-order the stuff because I've changed my address and is red flag and also is a big order and if I want I can use different payment method... HAHAHHAH
Can you imagine they are refusing to let me BUY with their own credit card with the whole promotion and savings they are offering?
So I've asked her " basically this 7000$ I have on my wayfair credit card is worthless " and she said "Yes".
I never had any internet shopping and banking experience like this one
DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY! It's worthless

I ordered a grill insert (Legacy Firemagic Charcoal at $40.43)) for my outdoor kitchen. The price was way below retail (probably a loss leader or bait and switch. After numerous emails, here was my answer " I am sorry for the confusion. You will be receiving the grill and grates and they are expected to ship with FedEx on or before 3/3 making your delivery estimate on or before 3/6. Your replacement sole is expected to ship today with UPS and arrive to you on or before 2/27. You will receive emails when the items ship with tracking information so you can monitor their progress on their way to you. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. Thank you for shopping with Wayfair. Regards, Kristofer C."
Then this response: " There is an issue with your order and I am trying to get it worked out so it can ship. If you are unable to wait we certainly understand. You will hear from me tomorrow with more details. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. Thank you for shipping with Wayfair. Sincerely, Tiffany F.".
Response again to my question: "No update to shipping information since March 3. Then expected arrival was March 6. This is March 10. Is the item STILL at the warehouse as the details say." Ans: "There is an issue with your order and I am trying to get it worked out so it can ship. If you are unable to wait we certainly understand. You will hear from me tomorrow with more details.".
Finally: "I am very sorry the issue could not be resolved and the order had to be canceled. We are no longer carrying Fire Magic products otherwise, I would be happy to honor the price. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. "
So, for over 2 weeks of "my order is at the warehouse, shopping soon, to order cancelled; BUYER BEWARE. Action on this order was a FRAUD! Not a mistake, an out and out FRAUD.

Garbage Quality

I will not be buying from Wayfair again. Over the last year, mostly around the same time (bought a new house) we have purchased the following items from Wayfair- A sofa, dining table, bar stools, coffee table, entertainment center, crib and dresser, 2 changing tables and 2 comforter sets, computer desk/hutch (beyond a year ago but ill add it).there may be more but that's what I can think of. Out of all of these items.the only items so far that has held up is the entertainment center and the crib. The 900.00 computer desk, crap.scratched at the lightest touch, doors falling off, keyboard tray broken. 2k dining table is garbage- chips in the flimsy supposed real wood, legs constantly breaking off chairs, warped end just from 1 year of use. 150.00 a piece Bar stools- heavy but garbage- legs falling off, cross bars breaking. 150.00 Coffee table, meh...legs bending, top super easily scratched. The 2k sofa...gosh the sofa, if I could burn it in the fire pit.I would, it's single handedly the worst I've ever owned or sat on, I literally hate it and make a point to sit in our movie room (which has a 10 year olf sofa that is insanely comfortable) for TV watching to avoid sitting on it. 200.00 Changing tables- should be recalled, can't tell you how many times my poor child has had a limb stuck under its poor design leaving her with bruises. 250.00 baby dresser- bottoms of drawers fall out with very light use. 150.00 comforter- washed once following directions and the entire underside looked like it had been bleach it was completely discolored...from laundry detergent! 500.00 Entertainment center- SO far no issues and while the 500.00 crib has been great, it's easily tippable which is a concern, especially since we've have 3 other children in cribs with no fear of tippage. Wayfair absolutely lacks quality control and they let complete garbage products be sold under their name. I can't get past the absolute greed they must have to allow these items to leave their warehouses.
