I have been using WeatherTech Floor Liners for 20+ years (back when nobody even heard of them). Every time someone in our family or I gets a new vehicle, I immediately take the factory mats out, put them back in their original bag, store them and install the WeatherTech liners. When we go to trade or sell the vehicle, I pull the WeatherTech liners out, the carpets are spotless and I put the original "new mats" back in. I recycle the floor liners or give them to somebody who has the same vehicle. Better trade value. These are great products!
However, I now have my first unhappy experience. My daughter recently got a new car so I gave her WeatherTech Floor Liners for Christmas. She looked confused because her boyfriend had just given her a set. Since his were already installed, I needed to return mine. The return policy looked great but said that "return shipping cost is paid by the customer." I decided to take them to FedEx because that is how they were shipped to me. I picked the cheapest, no hurry shipping option and it cost $43 to ship liners that cost $110. Be very careful what you select or you too will be paying 39% or the original cost to return them!
I have bought Weather Tech for both my SUV and I am not happy with them. Dirt gets underneath the mats, my husband has had them in his trucks and dirt doesn't get Underneath the mats. Poor design for SUV.
The other day my order arrived. It was an oversized cheap piece of plastic like material. I purchased a liner for the rear of my 2014 Escalade. It is not slip resistant as promised.
I was disapointed that during the on-line purchaing process it did not state the estimated delivery date. But it did tell me the shipping was $18.00.
I received an order acknowlegement e-mail BUT there was no estimated delivery date.
Three days later there has been no Text or E-mail on my product delivery date.
Is it classisfied or highly confidential?
SENT EMAIL OF LESS THEN 1 YEAR OLD HARD ALLOY PICKUP COVER WITH PICTURES OF WORN OUT PARTS TO CUSTOMER SERVICE. HAS BEEN 3 WEEKS AND COUNTING - NO RESPONSE.
WHT DID I BUY THE MOST EXPENSIVE COVER FOR MY PICKUP? THEY ADVERTISE -HIGH QUALITY AND GREAT CUSTOMER SERVISE- WHERE IS THIS?
Purchased Weather Tech Pet Barrier to keep large dogs from jumping into front seat possibly causing accident. The thumbnuts holding the horizontal bars to the frame did not do that, so with the dogs' weight against them they slipped down and the dogs could get through. Not one but two (!) customer service representatives acknowledged this was a known defect and the company did not yet have a solution. So I ended up on a list, if you can believe it, to get a replacement part when the company figures out what to do, and was sent pictures of 2 DIY fixes. I wrote the CEO two weeks ago expressing my concern that the company would knowingly sell a defective product that, if it failed, could cause loss of life and have had no response.
Exact quote from second rep: "unfortunately, the only other thing we can recommend is making sure the screw is firmly in the teardrop area of the black bar, and using zip ties can help as well." He went on to say "[w]e are still waiting for a new part that is going to help with the issue, but we haven't gotten information as to when it will be available... if you want to keep the barrier, I ca add you to the list and send the new part when it is available."
This, from a company that proclaims on its website "our customers are our number one priority" and "we will do whatever we can to make sure our customers are happy for a lifetime."
Right.
I called yesterday 02/11/2020 and got a quote for my 2019 Dodge Ram 1500 front floor mats the quote was for $119 so I called to order them an they told me it was going to be over $200 I guess ripping people off is fun to them! Must be a commission thing. DONT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE!
I purchased two (2) face shields and set of back up face shields in mid-November to use on those rare occasions when I had to enter into a public space during the pandemic. The primary feature selling point was in Weather Tech's words "it comes with an anti-fog lens". I finally had a need to use the shield this morning and I was literally inside the building no less than 30 seconds when it became necessary to take it off. Suffice to say I was disgusted at paying a premium for this feature and having the product fail miserably so I decided to return the product. I called the number provided for Customer Service and I was #109 in the customer service que. 109! Yeah, I know, their time is more valuable than mine. If they can't service the products they sell they shouldn't be selling them. Pretty basic. I might have expected this from an online only site where the same product was available for $18.99 but NOT Weather Tech. Lesson Learned! I have purchased mats on multiple occasions; phone holders; car wash cleaning products; mud flaps; etc. But NO MORE!
I recently made 3 purchases from weather tech of over $400. A few weeks later I tried to pull my seat forward and was unable to do so. I contacted customer service through the website and the response I got was pretty shocking. The email said try putting heavy items on the floor match and leaving them in the Sun. Make sure the original car floor mats are not under the weather check ones. If there's anything I could do for you in the future please feel free to contact me. It was like case closed. I waited about a week and contacted them by telephone. The lady shame really nice and helpful. She asked for some photos. I sent the photos, as requested. The lady called me back and asked me to send more photos. They suggested I cut the top of the floor liner in order to give it clearance from the seat. I didn't love that idea and I sent an email back asking for advisement. That was over a week ago and I've never heard back.
I looked on the website under warranty information and it was fairly shocking. Without quoting it directly it basically said they wanted their products but they will not cover people who are asking for frivolous claims. This was right in their warranty information. Judging from what my experience was they seem to think that all claims are frivolous. God forbid there should be something wrong with their product. I don't mind paying for things but when I pay a premium price I expect a premium product with fairly friendly customer service. From my experience their service is not very good. In all fairness the mats are really nice and they for the most part fit pretty good.
The floor mats curl up and trip everyone who tries to get out of the car. They do not lay flat. They are very stiff and hard to remove. I am not impressed or satisfied at all
THIS COMPANY ARE CROOKS
I would not order any thing from these crooks, weather tech they kept
50 dollars of my money for shipping because it was returned to them.
There's no way it cost 50 bucks so if i was you i wouldn't spend your
Money here.i was told by amazon i would get a full...
Great looking Store 2 Greeters In the front standing waiting for somebody to ring the merchandise one cashier one person in front of me he's taking his sweet time as well as the cashier nobody else to ring the merchandise and no end in sight left the merchandise walked out disappointing experience I don't need their merchandise that bad
Looks sloppy in back seat without holding tabs. Large one we ordered for back of suv was shipped in small box rolled up... way to expensive with tax and shipping it was nearly 150.00 for 1 piece
Purchased I a set of floormats, it has been 15 days I still have not received them. These floormats are extremely overpriced, you would think that they would pay for better shipping.
Ordered mats for my car, told the sales person numerous times the make, model and year. Received the mats and they do not fit. Called to get a return ticket and was given a hard time. Person i spoke to argued with me to tell me that the mats fit. I told her that i have a photo showing that the mats do not fit and she continued to debate my truths. VERY RUDE. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.
I had written a bad review on Weathertech. They contacted me and have credited my account for the shipping charges. I retract my review of them not returning my shipping charges.
I've been impressed with auto floor mats from Weathertech in the past so I looked forward to my purchase of their undersink mat for our kitchen. Unfortunately it did not fit our space. No problem, I thought. I'll just return it. The process was simple and I got a RA number with no problem. HOWEVER, the customer is responsible for return shipping (customer pays for purchase shipping as well), and it was ridiculous. The original shipping was $12 via FedEx for a $40 product. Return shipping is $36 for UPS or $29 for FedEx so if I return the product I've spent almost as much getting it back and forth as the product cost and I've have nothing. Needless to say, it's not going back and I'll find a use for it. What I'm saying is, make darn sure you are getting exactly what you want because returning it, while easy, will cost you.
I guess I've been spoiled in the past by Prime and free shipping and free return shipping. It's just that this caught me off guard. It would be nice if they'd at least provide a label using their shipping discounts with those companies. Like I said, it cost $12 to ship it to me but would cost me $30 plus to return it.
I purchased a black cargo liner part # *******. 2023 MB GLA 35 AMG.
Did not fit properly. Cost $141.00 Order # ******* order date 6/19/23
Customer service return authorization # *******.
Weathertech would not pay return postage via USPS of $40.45.
UNFAIR ITEM DID NOT FIT COST $40.45 to return.
Weathertech should change their mantra from made in America. TO UNFAIR TO AMERICANS
I ordered everything WeatherTech for my new 2017 Ford F-150 Crew Cab, and everything continues to function as advertised except the Wind Deflector. I have tried to get help from WeatherTech via email since June 2020, without remedy. The problem with the Wind Deflector, now that it is 3 years old, is that it chatters loudly when going down the road at highway speeds. The problem seems to be the pressure that builds under Wind Deflector, which releases by the Wind Deflector lifting up and down at a high speed causing the chatter. When you open the sunroof, the chatter stops. This is highly aggravating and the only way to stop it is to remove the Wind Deflector. WeatherTech does not have a solution and will not help to develop one. Therefore I give this company this rating for this reason alone. I would not recommend this product. The other products are fine. I baffles me why after talking to two different customer service people I don't have a solution. I have since taken the Wind Deflector off.
I have a 2020 Equinox and these liners dont fit right. They're a little too high so when you climb in you catch your foot on it. They slide a bit too because they aren't a "laser fit".
Answer: Haha! Placed on hold with 165 callers ahead of me. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told I could try to call back tomorrow but they're really busy this time of year!
Answer: I have boughten a few things for Weathertech and I had a problem with a part that got broken. I called customer service and got right through and they solved my problem in just a few minutes. They were very nice and easy to deal with.
Answer: Any company is better. Mine are absolute junk. They are so cheap I'd be better off buying Walmart brand floor mats.
WeatherTech has a rating of 1.7 stars from 353 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with WeatherTech most frequently mention customer service, floor liners and passenger side. WeatherTech ranks 2255th among Autos sites.
