Waste of money
January 13, 2021

When I purchased my new car, I knew I wanted WeatherTech to keep my car protected and looking nice, but it was a complete waste of money instead and I will NEVER recommend WeatherTech to anyone. If you own a 2015 VW Passat like myself, be aware - the rain deflectors don't fit like they're supposed to, so if you're the kinda person that likes to crack their windows, you can't. Rain will still get inside of your vehicle, and this counts for the back windows and the front windows. I also paid for the floor liners - front and back - because at the time, I was a bonus mom to three young kids, however, the back floor mats don't stay in place. There is nothing holding them or gripping them in place, so in other words, they're useless. You also have to pay for return shipping which is a JOKE especially if what was sent to you is useless and can't be used (i. E. water still gets in my car because the rain deflectors don't fit the shape of the windows like they should). I sent back everything except the floor liners for the front, and like I said earlier, I'll never recommend WeatherTech and I will never buy their products for as long as I live. I maybe got a refund of about $100 when it should've been closer to $200 because I had to pay the return shipping.

I live in Michigan on a gravel road and the stones are a problem with the 35 inch ties i have on my Bronco, It's hard to find flaps for my ride so i ordered some front and back from weather Tech i love the back perfect fit but the front ones look like crap I cant believe they look like that. If I didn't live on the gravel road I would have them off people look and ask what's up with them. I take pride of my new ride but no pride in them NOT HAPPY

Received complete wrong order in which they acknowledged was their mistake. They offered to ship the correct ones to me with me sending the wrong ones back. When I asked if they would refund the original shipping costs that I paid (since they can't even offer free shipping for $250-450 floor mats and never run sales not even for military) they told me that they would ship the new ones to me for free! Well no kidding! Since you sent the wrong ones and I already paid for shipping. Now I'm expected to drive 45min+ to take the wrong ones to a fed ex! I spoke to 2 different people (the 1st Lady was rude) who both told me no on any price adjustments or reimbursement of shipping. Acted like they are doing me a favor! I'm praying my son is ok with me ordering from Husky who has better reviews and better customer service so I can tell this arrogant company with horrible customer service to come pick up the wrong mats and keep the right ones! When I asked to speak to a manager I was told well you can try to call back tomorrow but we are really busy this time of year! Like this is the only company busy at Christmas time! Goodness! All companies and families are busy this time of year! But they still offer customer service and take ownership of their errors and try to do the right thing for their customers. It's amazing to me it is worth it to them to have a very unhappy customer with word of mouth than to just reimburse the $20 shipping cost! Tells you what consumers mean to them I guess.

The WeatherTech sunshade for my vehicle's windshield was flawed, customer service is the worse to deal with and they don't want to stand behind their warranty.

On the installation, I discovered that the sunshade did not meet the top of my windshield. Therefore, it wouldn't securely in place as intended. I spent time adjusting it and trying to see if it was how I was installing the product. However, it became obvious that it just wasn't cut correctly. It was more on the driver's side of the windshield that had this issue. So now the sunshade droops down from the top on the driver's side.

After no response from WeatherTech via email, I had to do some leg work to final get someone on the phone. Weather Tech's response was essential that their products are made perfectly and vehicle manufacturer must have assembled their vehicle incorrectly.

I ended up emailing multiple photos showing the defective of the WeatherTech sunshade. After all that, WeatherTech continued putting blame on the vehicle manufacturer. They told me ship my purchase back to them at my expense and they will look further into the situation at that time. Furthermore, if I wanted a refund, I would have to ship the item back to them first, again, at my expense.

The cost of the return shipping is about as equal to the cost of a new sunshade. So you can see the game their playing.

I'll remember to take my business elsewhere in the future for any vehicle accessories.

I bought the WeatherTech CupFone holder and was totally furious with the lack of written assembly instructions! As this product needs to fit many different cup sizes for various cars, there was a minimal amount of assembly required. However, there were NO WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS FOR A SIMPLE INSTALLATION! Instead there were inadequate pictures which didn't explain what the customer was supposed to do! Luckily a friend of mine went through this already, so he was able to show me what to do. Stop being SO CHEAP WITH THE INSTRUCTIONS WeatherTek, it soured me against buying any more of your products!

I really feel bad putting this out for the whole world to see - but I'm an honest person - and I really screwed Up! I have a 2004 Ford Explorer that after 17 years (just over 100,000 miles) still looks new and I wanted to take care of it the best way I could (it is under a shelter - covered by a very well made padded car cover)... so I bought Weathertech Seat covers, floor mats and their Cargo mat. All of this stuff on TV looks fantastic. And when they tell you it is "laser measured - for correct fit", etc. and it really sounds like something great... WRONG! It is some really cheap crap - the seat covers don't half fit (even after they ask you for exact make - model - year, etc)... the floor mats "roll up" like tacos after a few weeks (they will actually tell you how to turn them inside out to hopefully get back in shape) and the cargo mat is more of the same. "IF" they would use some material thick enough to actually hold its shape - they might actually be worth the purchase price, but I'm out around $600 and believe me - their "Made In America" product could have been much better made in China. It's really a shame for them to use the patriotism angle to lure folks in to buying their product... by the way - I'm a disabled American Veteran and patriotism is something real to me. I bought all of the above items at "TNT Exhaust center" in Reidsville, NC. They not only do exhaust but also sell 4WD / trailer / modification parts. I no longet have the receipt, but am sure that Joel and his wife (who run the business) will remember me as I am a regular customer.

Front liners for Frontier were adequate rear seats did not fit at all. Get out the scissors. The back liners did not even take into account the tool box built in under the seat.

Cheap material, poorly designed, extremely over priced. Window rain guards interfere with operation of the windows. Will eventually cause problems with the window motor.

Floor mats

I hate my Weathertech floor mats. I have a manual transmission and the mats catch on the clutch petal every time I shift. I have tried several solutions none or which work.

I purchased front and rear mats for my Tundra, had to return them because received the wrong mats, then it took over a month to get the right mats shipped to me. Once I received the "correct" mats I only received the rear mats and they were delivered to the wrong address a mile down the road and had to have a neighbor find me to give me the rear mats, called weathertech to get the front mats which are being shipped now still over a month later. Opened the rear floor mat box and put them in the truck and they hang over the edge about 2 inches to far on both sides. "LASER CUT" I don't think so. These are just plastic mats cut to fit any truck just like the cheap old plastic mats used to be in Walmart. They are thin and useless. I'll end up having to put regular cheap mats back in the truck to protect the carpet. Weathertech mats are a TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY... I purchased them because they say they are an American product and wanted to support USA products, but this is NOT what I signed up for. Just a total useless piece of plastic that will not protect anything, does not fit, will not last and shipped to the wrong address, plus I only received half of my order but paid full price. SO you order at your own risk. I have told you the truth on here and when you end up with this same mess the rest of on here half had, it's your own fault. You can get a much better product for this price... I paid $240 for front and rear mats that are worth $20 and NOT LASER cut. Good luck.

Customer service seems slow
September 14, 2020

I placed an order on Thursday afternoon, and I received email confirmation. A friend recommended another place to buy liners, so I checked it out. I found husky liners was 35% less, so I purchased a full set of liners from that place. I immediately responded to weather tech's email and cancelled my order the SAME day. I called as well, but they were closed less than an hour earlier. Friday morning I called to cancel the order. They said they would call it back from Fed Ex. I received the order, Saturday, the following day. Excellent, if I wanted it but I don't. I sent emails explaining that I don't want the merchandise, and I had cancelled it. They don't respond to email. Even though site says you can email or call. I have been on the phone for 20 minutes and disconnected. I'm back on the phone. After 15 minutes someone took my call. Apparently there are computer issues. They will send me RMA via email. Hopefully no issues thereafter. I wouldn't recommend this place, BUT if you want quick delivery on orders they won't disappoint. They just don't seem to be able to handle other things. Plus they are pricey. I can't talk to the quality of weather tech merchandise because I decided to get comparable liners, at a better price, better warranty and no shipping charge. However, based on my research weather tech is excellent quality just as the one I'm getting. You have to consider warranty, customer service, price...

I have had these liners for around 2 yrs now and called about them the day I put them in. The passenger side does not fit to the vehicle, and I found them to be very slippery when wet. I emailed the company, they asked for pictures, I sent the pictures and the gentlemen I was connected with said that is the way they are suppose to fit. I have over an inch of gap on the passenger side which makes the liner constantly move. What happened to "made to fit"... their motto...! I would never buy from this company again, they have made it clear to me that they care nothing whether their customer is satisfied, for the price you pay they should do better. Buyer beware and don't assume that because it fits your "friend or family" vehicle that it will work for yours. They say that it is digitally measured and made to fit your vehicle, but if that were true then I wouldn't have over an inch of slippage/movement with mine. But it does explain why they don't allow for "reviews" of their products on their web site. (unless I missed that on their site)

Ordered WEATHERTECH ALL WEATHER MATS for my 2014 Mercedes Benz ML350 on 09/22/20. They were $99.95, with shipping($15) and tax($7.61) came out to ($122.56). The second row mats didn't fit, so i returned them for a refund. I was charged $15.99 to return a product that did not fit. You spend a lot of money with Weatertech and they don't provide you with free shipping or a return label, but than they charge you for a return label (which they do not tell you when you speak to customer service about a return)... I also orederd a set for my sister's car as well, which was $309.95 and shipping ($18) and tax($21.72) totalling $349.57... which I'm returning as well once I receive them. So they can charge me the ($18) shipping fee if they want. BUT I REFUSE TO DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THEM EVER AGAIN and will make sure my family and friends don't do business with them as well...!

Disappointing Product
November 24, 2021

Purchased a rear bench seat protector for our 2020 Hyundai Elantra and it is not up to Weathertech standards. The product is about 2" to small all the way around. The back portion does not reach the seat creating a "hammock" like effect and the bench portion does not come to the sides or front resulting in the sections meant to drop over the edges to be completely ineffective. The "grip" feature on the bottom may work on seats that are completely flat but does not work at all on our car as the bench has a slight contour and because the top material is so stiff it sits like a piece of carboard especially when it is cold. This was purchased because we have a dog who rides in the back. She is constantly sliding when she tries to move. Jumping in to the car results in the cover shifting and not protecting the seat as it bunches up with most of the material being pushed away from the edge of the seat. The seat portion definitely needs a strap on the corners to help hold it in place. Have purchased 2 sets of floor liners in the past and these were perfect. Was hoping for the same quality and fit in this seat protector but am seriously disappointed.

Deflectors

Do not buy deflectors. The rear deflectors are impossible to install, you will damage your rubber seal and still have to end up paying to install them.

I JUST PURCHASED A BOUT 5 ITEMS FROM WEATHER TECH OVE $500 AND ONE OF THE LITTLE ITEMS WAS A PAIR OF CUP COASTERS WHICH SAYS 2 LARGE AND 2 SMALL FOR THE BACK SEAT. WELL THE LARGE DON'T WORK AND THE SMALL SO YOU ARE PAYING $15 FOR TWO RUBBER COASTERS WHICH I NEVER WOULD OF DONE. SO I CALLED THERE AND THE GUY SAID WELL YOU KNOW WE CAN'T BREAK THEM UP THEY ARE A SET AND EVEN IF YOU SPENT 11K WE CAN'T DO ANYTHING AT ALL SO BASICALLY JUST EAT THE 15.00 FOR THEM AND SHUT UP. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER WEATHER TECH ITEM EVER THEY COULDN'T BE MORE WORTHLESS.
