Help is available 24/7. The site design is 9 out of 10. I have been with another web designer, and Web.com is more user friendly. I would like to see availability for my email on the left side menu when I first sign in.

Very helpful site builder except for adding picture images along with text. I have been using an app for imaging then uploading as too time consuming any other way.

Reason I chose this business:

It seemed like a more modern technology site for those who do not have a design degree. But I am learning the difficulty of building particular images compared to other programs. It's just a longer process but it works.

Your SQL management interface is really unreliable. Once a database is created its fine. But getting a new user to activate properly, or add a new database can be incredibly frustrating. For example, today, any new database name I enter, I get an error saying it already exists, and it does not appear in the list of databases. Even if I use a random new name, it will give that error. That's just today's issue. Every time its something. And the SQL management window wont opem, just says it not working. And FTP wasnt working for a while, then it just started again, chat guy had no idea and had trouble following information.

Reason I chose this business:

Because you moved Dotster clients here.

I was told that my domain name emailscashsystems.com would be made into a website that you would build for me. What I'm getting is (page not found error).

Reason I chose this business:

Why did you choose Web.com? Because I was told you would build a site for me on my domain name. All I get is an error message and no site. I am not happy and wish I had my money back. You did NOT fix a problem, You created a problem!

You limit of password length to 16 characters is INSUFFICIENT in today's world for something as important as domain management. I am a Dotster customer coming over, and this is a significant downgrade!

Web.com are probably your average web service provider but I would avoid them. We are in Australia but that should not make any difference. They sell their services world wide and should provide customer service that can easily be reached world wide. From my perspective it feels like they are very happy to take your money but they really don't want you contacting them for any help or customer service. I recommend finding someone who has customer service that is easier to get in contact with.

We have an old website which we keep and redirect to our new website purchased through a different provider. Web.com automatically renewed some products that we did not want. In order to have these services cancelled and a refund issued I literally spent weeks trying to contact Web.com on the number listed and the AI chat. I ended up doing a google search and reading independent blogs of other people having the same issue. I found one blog that gave a number I could not find anywhere else. With nothing to lose I tried it and got through. The customer service agent was very helpful and did exactly what was asked - he cancelled the service and refunded the money. But it literally took weeks of research and it could only happen if I called the number listed in the blog I read. It was not a number I could find on web.com and when I used their chat feature it was useless. I would recommend finding a web service company who has better customer service and certainly one that is easier to reach.

If you are also outside the USA and need to contact them try ringing *******186. Good luck.

It's taken hours of time, but I hope my site is active again. I am 71 years old and it's a challenge for me to maintain my art site. I appreciate the help.

Reason I chose this business:

To continue my dotter website as it changed names since I haven't had it working for months and I didn't know what was wrong. Still not sure and will chat agin if this doesn't work now.

Its too hard for the website owner to send me the correct link so I can make website changes on her EComm site. Cant you make it easier for them so I can login and do the work? Please add 24 hour CALL IN TECH HELP or make your website easier for them to add user roles like Wordpress... only in the Ecomm sites.

Reason I chose this business:

I didnt. Its the website owners. This website is too frustrating for her to simply add a user and Ive been waiting weeks for a login. Apparently she never gets the help she needs. Im not sure why your Tech team cant send the link out for her. Thank you.

Your prices keep going up every year. I tried someone else with a new domain i purchased and they are cheaper and dont keep bothering me with marketing and phone calls.

Reason I chose this business:

I didnt... you now have dotsters old clients and i started with them in 1983. Wasnt any choice i was given at the time when you bought dotster. Your pricing though is making me consider looking elsewhere.

I'm a former dotster user, which I liked. It was simple. Used it for years. Here, if I search for a domain, it's automatically added to my cart. No! Just because I search doesn't mean I'm getting it for sure. And then when I do pick out domains I want, the domain with the.online extension is automatically added to the cart. No! If I want something extra like that, I'll add it myself. Don't make me go to the work of having to remove things from my cart that you've decided to put in it. And then when I go to checkout, AFTER I've removed the extraneous stuff from my cart, I get ads and a whole bunch of other stuff in my face that I have zero interest in. It's too busy. There's too much going on. Feels like my old faithful dotster has been absorbed/bought out by a scammy, ad-filled, suspect operation. Not impressed. If I come here to get domains, just let me do my thing and check out in peace. If I want other stuff, I'll look at it myself. Don't throw it in my face and make me wade through it, because all that does is make me cranky and seriously consider moving my domains somewhere else.

Reason I chose this business:

Former dotster user, so I didn't have any choice.

I'm trying to log in to fix a billing issue and I am hit with the stupid pin number requirement which I honestly rather not deal with, then with a website review offer, and now a survey. Get out of the way and let people do what they need to do.

Reason I chose this business:

I had no choice as you bought dotster

I don't want to be forced to set a pin. Or spammed with email about contact information. 100% this is a nuisance and I would not recommend this service to anyone.

Do you want your site to be down and not be notified? Do you want customer service that tells you all the glitches are your fault? Do you want a chat service that takes 6 minutes to answer you back? Do you want those answers to NOT actually answer your question. Do you want to waste an hour and get nowhere? Then web.com is the right place for you!

I have had a notice that my Email Forwarding service is being cancelled.
I asked if there was an equivalent free service available, as I am 78 years old who is not aware of how to go about these things.
I have received no information from web,com and no correspondence whatsoever.
Since I have had only a few weeks notice of the cancellation, and don't know where to go from here, I think it's appalling service to just cut someone off without suggesting an equivalent replacement service.
The suggested services are only applicable to businesses who can afford to pay - as a pensioner, I cannot pay those huge prices.

Reason I chose this business:

I didn't - I am closing my account.

Lots of issues to get my mail ongoing
After 6 days still a "high priority ticket not being worked upon (? What's the SLA?) --> purchased the hosting to obtain the catch-all functionality that still does not work
Migration of my old (nameszero) mailbox into this new one seems not te work

Reason I chose this business:

Because it (should have) would be the easiest to "continue given I was prior at dotster/nameszero
Looking back at the last week: seems to be a serious mistake from my side

The transition from dotster has not been smooth and we have encountered multiple problems, from hosting autorenewing but not domain. Then something as simple as changing contact information results in a two month hold. I am paying for 12 months of service but receiving 10 because I needed to change an email address. This has negatively impacted my business.

Reason I chose this business:

I didn't. Web.com took over Dotster.

Web.com is a dishonest company who will take your money and run! They do not have your best interest.
You're better off using a individual web developer.

Credit card fraud it's not where I want my business.
You need to be with a company or individual that will be honest and look to help you properly display your business. Do not use your credit card before doing your research on Web.com

Tip for consumers:
Please do your research before making any payments

Products used:
None. I only did a short trial to find out the dishonesty
