Customer service is awesome. Love the templates provided and how easy it is to create a wesbite.
Help is available 24/7. The site design is 9 out of 10. I have been with another web designer, and Web.com is more user friendly. I would like to see availability for my email on the left side menu when I first sign in.

To check my email.
The website is complicated and not user friendly like Go Daddy, which I currently have an account but wanted to replace with Web.com to establish my e-commerce store. Considering cancelling my subscription soon
Trying to renew my domain names and card is expired no way to edit. Created a new one but it's not an option to use because the domain is connected to the expired card. Oh and there's a domain name listed as suspended that's not mine. This place is a joke now. Might be easier to just transfer the names somewhere else.
Terrible user experience - almost unusable. A hodge-podge of multiple acquired tools and programs that barely work with each other, very poor usability, even the support team gets confused and have a hard time figuring out how to access most of the functionality. Can believe this company still exists.
I ended up here after many acquisitions and now I am stuck with an unusable platform
My domain was not on this website, and now it appears to be handled by you. I have no idea why I also had two domains, one that I did not ask, (an.online), and now it seems my website is not secure and I cannot use it. It also seems also that to make it safe I have to pay lots of money. There is no place to fin information on how to fix these issues and I need to help to a friend.
I didnt choose it!
I have a domain somegaveitall.com that was on Dobster but Web.com acquired my account. The website was built with WORD PRESS and now the domain is not live on the internet and I've spent hours and numerous times talking to tech people and they can't fix the error connecting to database. I was told to get hire a tech design person to fix it. I am so angry that my website has been down since web,com bought them. I am told that WEB.COM does not use WORD PRESS so I am left without having my site online. I have 3 domains that were brought over from Dobster. One of others didn;t work until I paid for a security certificate. So far this sucks and I am looking to move my accounts to somewhere else.
You have created some kind of multi-account mess. It is horrible to manage and deal with in any way.
You terminated the contracted service of free email forwards, but then recanted for some accounts with complaints. Did you change you policy on all of these? At fatcow, I'm able to mix both forwarding and accounts and I happily pay for extra storage etc. You are losing revenue by your short-sightedness.
I was forced to by a buy-out.
I had a family emergency and can not activate this account. In reaching out to them found that I could not stop this and they would not refund anything. Beware that if you are not sure, don't go with this one.
I have a fractional website. I cannot adjust the website because I cannot access the site. Sometimes it comes up and other times it does not. I cannot add things or take away items on the website. I needed a 1,2,3 kind of setup that is easy to adjust and update.
As an alternative to Go Daddy. I hope I did not make a mistake.
web.com is the first platform that I, as someone who did not grow up with computer technology can relate to and work with. Web.com's professionals are knowledgeable, courteous, patient, compassionate, thoughtful and efficient.
I was looking for a platform I could intuitively relate to better than others I have worked with in the past. I have found it in Web.com. The fact that assistance is actually available without fail, is so reassuring. It changes an otherwise painful process! Stress is limited because of the Web.com process even for someone with little knowledge about website building. I am actually having fun finding my way with assistance, which is HUGE for someone like me. I am looking forward to adding to my website
Moved from Dotster, my old login didn't work so had to get a new login (which to be fair was dealt with well). Have found your website to be confusing and awkward, with seemingly obvious functionality hidden. For some reason I have 4 separate accounts with you at this time. I also find your prices higher than is fair.
I didn't - you bought Dotster.
My legacy g suite is not receiving email. And im trying to log in and manage it and everything looks fine here and there but managing anything on tour site is horrific! 100x worse than it was with mydomain! I HATE this when it should just be set it and leave it alone but instead problems every month or so! Sucks
No choice you have ruined mydomain.com users experience!
Your SQL management interface is really unreliable. Once a database is created its fine. But getting a new user to activate properly, or add a new database can be incredibly frustrating. For example, today, any new database name I enter, I get an error saying it already exists, and it does not appear in the list of databases. Even if I use a random new name, it will give that error. That's just today's issue. Every time its something. And the SQL management window wont opem, just says it not working. And FTP wasnt working for a while, then it just started again, chat guy had no idea and had trouble following information.
Because you moved Dotster clients here.
I have renewed my domain already for many weeks and up until this point, my email which is linked with google workspace under the domain that i renewed still does not work. Therefore, Yes, pls give the attention to this issue. Your team told me after I contacted that everything will work after 24 hrs. Up until now, nothing worked!
Because my problem is still unsolved and prolonged for a long time.
Horrible user experience. Lagging and bugs everytime I use the platform. Inability to perform basic functions on a consistent basis has led me to have little faith in this platform.
Web.com are probably your average web service provider but I would avoid them. We are in Australia but that should not make any difference. They sell their services world wide and should provide customer service that can easily be reached world wide. From my perspective it feels like they are very happy to take your money but they really don't want you contacting them for any help or customer service. I recommend finding someone who has customer service that is easier to get in contact with.
We have an old website which we keep and redirect to our new website purchased through a different provider. Web.com automatically renewed some products that we did not want. In order to have these services cancelled and a refund issued I literally spent weeks trying to contact Web.com on the number listed and the AI chat. I ended up doing a google search and reading independent blogs of other people having the same issue. I found one blog that gave a number I could not find anywhere else. With nothing to lose I tried it and got through. The customer service agent was very helpful and did exactly what was asked - he cancelled the service and refunded the money. But it literally took weeks of research and it could only happen if I called the number listed in the blog I read. It was not a number I could find on web.com and when I used their chat feature it was useless. I would recommend finding a web service company who has better customer service and certainly one that is easier to reach.
If you are also outside the USA and need to contact them try ringing *******186. Good luck.
I am so upset. I have tried to cancel my subscription time and time again and it has been impossible. Stop charging me or get some better customer service. Im furious that I even have to give one star
It's taken hours of time, but I hope my site is active again. I am 71 years old and it's a challenge for me to maintain my art site. I appreciate the help.
To continue my dotter website as it changed names since I haven't had it working for months and I didn't know what was wrong. Still not sure and will chat agin if this doesn't work now.
Its too hard for the website owner to send me the correct link so I can make website changes on her EComm site. Cant you make it easier for them so I can login and do the work? Please add 24 hour CALL IN TECH HELP or make your website easier for them to add user roles like Wordpress... only in the Ecomm sites.
I didnt. Its the website owners. This website is too frustrating for her to simply add a user and Ive been waiting weeks for a login. Apparently she never gets the help she needs. Im not sure why your Tech team cant send the link out for her. Thank you.
I'm a former dotster user, which I liked. It was simple. Used it for years. Here, if I search for a domain, it's automatically added to my cart. No! Just because I search doesn't mean I'm getting it for sure. And then when I do pick out domains I want, the domain with the.online extension is automatically added to the cart. No! If I want something extra like that, I'll add it myself. Don't make me go to the work of having to remove things from my cart that you've decided to put in it. And then when I go to checkout, AFTER I've removed the extraneous stuff from my cart, I get ads and a whole bunch of other stuff in my face that I have zero interest in. It's too busy. There's too much going on. Feels like my old faithful dotster has been absorbed/bought out by a scammy, ad-filled, suspect operation. Not impressed. If I come here to get domains, just let me do my thing and check out in peace. If I want other stuff, I'll look at it myself. Don't throw it in my face and make me wade through it, because all that does is make me cranky and seriously consider moving my domains somewhere else.
Former dotster user, so I didn't have any choice.
The transition from dotster has not been smooth and we have encountered multiple problems, from hosting autorenewing but not domain. Then something as simple as changing contact information results in a two month hold. I am paying for 12 months of service but receiving 10 because I needed to change an email address. This has negatively impacted my business.
I didn't. Web.com took over Dotster.
Pretty solid, chat support is 9/10, usually very helpful. Website it a little clunky to build and doesn't have a ton of options but again, pretty good.
I liked Dotster. They only contacted me when needed. I keep getting emails about auto renew--WHICH I TOOK CARE OF. WHY ARE YOU BOTHERING ME? If this keeps up, I'll switch to another service next year.
I was lured into checking my website numbers but then was mislead. And I hate that you keep on sending me emails about stuff I've already taken care of. I'm about to block you.
It was not clear where I would go to make DNS changes. But I finally found it. And then the list of the DNS records was confusing since the list was not complete. It took me a while to figure out that there is a "see more" link at the bottom of the list. That could be more clear. Or just list all of the DNS records since that is what we would be used to seeing anyway.
Your prices keep going up every year. I tried someone else with a new domain i purchased and they are cheaper and dont keep bothering me with marketing and phone calls.
I didnt... you now have dotsters old clients and i started with them in 1983. Wasnt any choice i was given at the time when you bought dotster. Your pricing though is making me consider looking elsewhere.
