Love this site, I used to buy from them back in the day when it was pretty new and not popular. I recently rediscovered it after I stumbled upon daily steals, which is awesome too but not OG like woot!

Fiverr features semi and full experts in field's from Writing SEO for your website, or drawing an outstanding characterization from your phone. Everything in between. One will edit your paper, another will create a cover for your E-book. Another, will write it for you. A stunning diversity of talent!

The deal is, and agreed upon work... is $5. Five bucks. Well it starts there. Add an extra (gig as they're called) bit of work: extra pages, additional copies, colour vs b&w, etc., the cost goes up - but only in $5 to $10 increments. Want it in 24 hours... add $10 bucks.

But what you're getting for a terribly reasonable price I have found a treasure trove of possibilities. For $5, plud an extra "gig" fee of $15, an A Capella instance of my singing a tune (which I thought sounded great), was sent to a professional sound engineer on Fiverr, and he added the musical track (and had to alter tempo here and there as I was off), and it was amazing. For $20? That's insane!

Check Fiverr out, it's a playground of opportunities, and, of course, you can sign-up to sell YOUR gig there as well.

CAVEAT! You have the opportunity to message with the pro, prior to agreeing on price and go-ahead. Ask ALL your questions at THAT POINT. Make sure you've all bases covered with expectation. You can ask for samples of seller's work. In the end, If what you receive is BELOW YOUR EXPECTATIONS, you can 1. Request the work be improved before you accept, or 2. Cancel the gig because it was just that bad. You can't lose.

Enjoy Fiverr.com, and hope everyone is well and prospering.
Warmly,
Ron

I recieved a renewed item from Woot that was scratched up and dirty. It also malfunctions. I wanted a replacement but to do so you have to pay the postage. I will never order from them again.

My daughter (a first year teacher) ordered a set of Fiesta Ware knives with a knife block. It came with a defective block and she was told my Woot (via email) to send it back and they would send her a replacement set. She did as instructed and now they tell her they won't honor that promise. WORST COMPANY EVER!

I have been an Amazon Prime member for many years. When I learned that Woot was an Amazon company, I decided to give them a try. Boy, was that a mistake! Amazon, as far as I'm concerned, has the best customer service in the world. Woot, on the other hand, definitely has the worst. If you can get a response from Woot, it is usually a canned response straight out of some manual. Otherwise, it's nonsensical gibberish that doesn't make any sense.

Besides the pathetic Customer Service, Woot must have the slowest shipping of any company doing mail order business on this planet.

I've ordered some supposedly Apple chargers for my iPads. I ordered them a week ago and finally got an estimated shipping date of three weeks from now. Four weeks to ship iPad chargers is ludicrous.

I can guarantee that I will never order anything from Woot again.

Also, I am going to contact Amazon and let them know that if they are going to have a subsidiary company that that company should be held to the same standards as the parent company.

Anyway, bottom line... don't buy anything from Woot!

Please do not waste your time ordering from this business. I ordered an item that was listed as in stock and now five days later I was told by email that it wasn't available and they COULD NOT fulfill my order. That's fine with me, but I was charged the full amount and Ive been ignored any time I inquired about a refund. Regardless if the items may be slightly cheaper, it's not worth getting a better deal when you will likely NEVER recieve what you ordered. Customer service is nonexistent and Woot is by far the worst business I have ever dealt with. DO NOT USE WOOT.COM!

I ordered a bunch of razor blades from Woot. When I got them they were terrible! DID NOT WORK. I sent a message to customer "support" asking to return the unused blades and get a refund. Their reply was, "we're unable to accept returns on items for personal reasons. We suggest trying to sell the unwanted item to a friend, a co-worker, on eBay or craigslist" DON'T BUY ANYTHIG FROM WOOT!

Woot will lie to you and hold your money till you figure it out!
I purchased a desktop computer on their site and was excited about the prospect of getting what I thought was a good deal! For some reason the shipping date for me to receive the computer was 2 1/2 weeks but that is ok I am patient.
So the projected day of delivery comes and I decide to check on the status of the shipment, FedEx tracking number says it was delivered a week ago to another city, no where close to me! What the %@&*#?
I email them to see if they gave me the wrong tracking number and they tell me it now is just a lost item and all they can do is give me my money back.
I check into it further with FedEx and the parcel is the wrong weight, sent to another city and someone signed for it... basically Woot LIED... a shipping label was printed for my address but never handed over to FedEx. Woot gave me someone elses tracking number to watch. So 2 weeks went by while Woot held my money in their account, all the while knowing they were not shipping my computer!
I tried conversing with them about a way to properly apologize for their fraudulent practices... "here's a lil coupon that expires in 30 days" was their reply.
Ummm... no b*#@h where's my computer!
Do not trust Woot, and if you decide to, watch them each day with your order, check every detail.

Occassionally Woot has good deals, but BEWARE, listings are almost intentionally misleading, their customer service is slow and most responses are irrelevant AND the return policy is THE WORST that I've ever seen. Even for a loyal customer, they would not issue a credit for a purchase in which the listing did not convey that I was buying a generic brand vs. name brand.

I ordered a computer but the advertising did not mention if it was a touch screen or not,
So before they shipped it I asked if they could change the order to a more expensive computer that said it was touch screen. But of course they said no, you only had 15 minutes to cancel orders, so it could not be changed.
This is the type of customer service that drives these sort of companies out of business. It would have made them money to change the order, but no, they would not do it. So when the computer comes if it is not a touch screen I will have to send it back for a refund, will I then buy the other computer from them, not on your life. I will never shop with this company again. So they lost another customer. Maybe you who read this will also shop elsewhere. Maybe they think losing one customer is unimportant. They will find out that soon they will run out of people who want to take the chance.

Other say their merchandise is of no value either. That is yet to be determined. Undoubtedly the one follows the other. Too bad, they seemed to have good prices.

A bunch of Tardo's that can't figure out how to put the right color and style item in a package and mail it to the paying customer that spent over $200 for 1 item. Such as a refurbished phone 3 yrs old. I got the wrong 1 after realizing it was the regular pixel not the XL keeping the color factor aside not being a huge deal since it was still 128gb but I kept saying it doesnt have the xl features now I know why... it wasnt the xl. So after paying to active the phonewoot offers me $40 off the price of a phone I dont want and a meager $10 off my next purchase! Suck it WOOT! I wont ever buy from u again and now I know the slob kabob bozos owns woot I will not be a Amazon customer either! Eff u both!

I purchased a tablet from here, but it broken after a couple of days. I asked for refund, probably sent email more than 5 times, but they never respond me back.
Since it was expensive stuff, I file with BBB, and right after that, they contact me and was able to return the tablet.
I recently bought a golf related item for my husband, but he didn't like it. I sent email 3 times so far for return, but they never respond my email. Since it was only $10, I gave up and decide to forget about it.
So DO NOT BUY ANYTHING EXPENSIVE STUFF THERE!
Only buy something less risky, and spend money that you don't mind to loose.

Do not order from this site. If you receive a damaged product there is no way for you to get a refund/replacement. They will simply ignore your emails.

Do yourself a favor and order from Amazon.com.

I joined Woot.com- was able to sign in. It is owned by Amazon. When I signed in- and attempted to place something in my cart-as to buy that item-it wouldn't let me. This site has no phone number-so I resorted to writing a total of 20 e-mails explaining that I could sign in-look at my account- but could not buy anything. Rather than fix the problem- they kept telling me to change browsers. So I tried that-and after 5 different browsers-the problem continued. Meanwhile I kept writing e-mails. Telling them that I had lost out on 4 beautiful Deals that were advertised on their pages. Again their response was something about my browswer. Come on folks- if it was my browswer-how could I sign into my account- and look at my profile etc. I then called Amazon owner's of this company- and was lied to by their customer representatives that there was a phone # there to call. Blatant lie- look for yourself-the best scenario is you have an account and you write the support department. They don't care. So folks-I have decided to cancel my account with Woot.com. Filed a complaint with Amazon for their customer rep's blatant lie. My advice- don't bother with this firm. Just buy your stuff from some other on site firm- as Amazon-Overstock-BestBuy- or the thousands of others.

Woot.com advertised a Razor scooter that accommodated a 13 year old, up to 220lbs. This is even the information received directly on the receipt for the purchase. I had no reason to doubt this information and I trusted Woot.com. However, when the product was unboxed( on video!), the instruction manual stated a weight limit of only 154lbs! Obviously, we were shocked. I went back into my email and looked at the receipt. Not only did Woot lie about the weight limit, they also falsely advertised this scooter as "new" condition. The scooter was clearly damaged on one particular part, as shown in photo. I reached out to Woot and let them know what had happened. They did not care, not one bit as NO resolution in any way, shape or form was ever offered to me. No replacement, no exchange, no credit, nothing at all. I would have been mortified if this falsely advertised product with it's chipped paint was sent directly to the recipient. They messed up the birthday present and they have no remorse. If this has happened to anyone else by Woot, it seems it's time for a lawyer to look at these product descriptions and hold Woot accountable.

Tip for consumers:
Don't use Woot! Just avoid it all together.

Products used:
None, because the product description was wrong. The weight limit was falsely advertised and money was lost.

I've purchased through Woot before and had ok experience. Unfortunately, I recently purchased a t-shirt that ended up being slightly too small. I emailed to see if I could exchange size and NO. WOOT DOES NOT ALLOW SIZE EXCHANGES! What poor business and customer service. I want to support artists, but Woot DOES NOT. I will never buy from WOOT again. My money will never support another designer because Woot DOES NOT support their DESIGNERS or their customer. Poor upcoming artists. Woot lied to you.

I ordered an HP Pavilion laptop and realized the next day that, to my horror, I had clicked my old employer's address. I immediately emailed woot support. Hours later they emailed back that it was too late, it was shipping and they couldn't stop it. They told me in the email to contact my old employer and have them refuse. I checked the order status and it was still "pending/not shipped". I guess Woot's customer service folks don't know how to talk to their warehouse folks. Anyway, I did contact ex-employer and they refused the package. However the FedEx tracker still shows "Delivered". I had the receptionist at the old employer email me what happened and she confirmed it was returned. I've given the details to both FedEx and Woot, copied woot on my contact with both ex-employer and FedEx. The point is this: I did everything I could once I realized my mistake, to get the order re-routed to my home or new job... Woot by all appearances did not even try to intercept the package which was clearly not shipped until the next day! And then they are doing everything they can to not acknowledge the cascading $#*! that snowballed after their first "no".

In most cases, the deals are good and products are as described, however, BEWARE of higher priced electronics because if you are unlucky enough to get a lemon, you are stuck with it.
Purchased a NEW, (not re-conditioned) Nexus 7 tablet as a gift which was DOA (Dead On Arrival) and would not turn on and could not be resuscitated with any of the YouTube videos or myriad of suggestions on the web.

Woot, was "sorry" about my experience, but they were not sorry enough to allow me to return the item for an exact replacement, a similarly priced item, credit towards another purchase or offer any solutions other than for me to contact the manufacturer ASUS, who couldn't help me because I had an email receipt and since I didn't receive a receipt with seller's logo, was also "sorry" they couldn't help me.

Tip for consumers:
Don't buy electronics or anything you can't fix yourself because if an item is defective, they won't take it back.

I ordered an item and paid extra for two day shipping, needing it in about 5 days and I wanted to be sure it arrived in time. Before ordering they estimated delivery by Friday, I needed it by Saturday. The next day I received the order confirmation, which had it arriving on Saturday. This was about 12 hours after placing the order. I wrote (you cannot call, there is NO phone number) that I wanted to cancel the order, as it hadn't been shipped and wouldn't arrive within the time frame I'd paid extra for. They wrote back saying the order was "in process and could not be cancelled". A day later, i checked on the status of the order, which now had it due to arrive Monday, a week after ordering the item with 2-day shipping. Again I wrote customer service and was told there was still no way they could cancel the order, despite it not having yet shipped. Well, it finally SHIPPED the following Tuesday, arriving the following Thursday, 9 DAYS after paying for expedited, two day shipping. And yet, somehow, with their abysmal, totally inflexible system they were not able to cancel the order anytime during the 7 days it took to process and ship. I've bought a number of things on Woot and they've always been a little disappointing in one way or another. This was the last straw.

Found a great deal for refurbished Apple products but the bad news was the worst service and refund experience ever. After I decided to purchase, I was transferred to Amazon to complete it. Then the headaches began.
Received a box damaged from the inside, not outside abuse. The laptop was packed into an empty box, with NO PACKING MATERIAL! I reported this to Amazon immediately who had me check it out and then had me return the item for a refund after finding it totally non-functional. It has taken 5 weeks of back and forth before they even attempted a refund, still waiting for it to hit the bank. If the refund ever gets to the bank.
I had to file complaints with the State Attorney General to get any cooperation and response from execs at Amazon and action. Finally got a positive statement that the refund was processed 4 days after filing a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). That got me action in place of the constant battle with Customer Service who demanded a photo ID or Driver's License or Passport before considering a refund! If the refund ever gets to the bank. They have the device!
Imagine an online wanting a picture ID for verification like an in-person store!

Beware of the subtle Invasion of Privacy and the intrusive tactics used, alleging "... abnormal activity in your account, or unusual activity with your account." Check the latest Amazon Terms and Conditions, they collect a massive amount of data on you automatically, from your location to following your devices and you. WOW, a page and a half of items are listed on their Data Collected page!
They have no shame in creating scenarios to justify and rationalize their action. Now, they are claiming I damaged the laptop.
I will no longer be dealing with Amazon after 14 years of loyalty, or any of its shadow businesses, definitely will take the other route of direct manufacturer purchases.

Tip for consumers:
the interaction with third-party customer service and the lies they go to to rationalize their behavior and to justify their outlandish requests for verification after 14 years of dealings with them

Products used:
couldn't use the product, arrived damaged, non-functional
