I have just purchased my first WorldSIM card and the product is exactly what I am looking for. A real must for any world traveller. Daniel from customer support has been extremely helpful and supportive. A great experience!
World sim is useless, did not work in either New Zealand or Canada. Contacted customer support and received some instructions which I followed without success. I tried calling the help line numerous times with no answer. I ended up buying local sims in New Zealand and Canada. World sim is a useless product do not buy
Great service from Matt B. Highly recommended sim card company. Great prices and easy to use website. And great service correcting my ordering mistake.

I ordered a WorldSIM card three weeks before my trip to Spain and I never received. Less than 3 hours of landing in Barcelona (it would have been less but I had to wait for stores to open at 10am), I purchased a cheaper, with a better plan, pay as you go SIM card. If I had read reviews of WorldSIM before purchasing my card, I never would have purchased. I contacted WorldSIM several times post purchase but prior to my trip to inquire about my order. Customer service was useless. I plan to contest the charge with my credit card company when I return home.
UPDATE: After posting the above review, the same day WorldSIM posted a response asking me to contact them. (The quickest response to date I have received from WorldSIM.) I contacted them per their request. I NEVER received a response, NEVER received my SIM card, and NEVER received a refund. NEVER, EVER do business with this "company".

I am travelling in Sri Lanka and in a hotel with no wifi in the room. Brilliant, I'll connect my newly purchased TriFi Pocket Modem. The initial capacity was used up almost instantaneously so I topped up with 20 pounds. By the time I woke up in the morning it was completely used up. OK, I topped up with 50 pounds in the morning and still no internet access. When I called Worldsim they told me that I had used up the entire 50 pounds in 5 minutes connection to the internet. I may have received 3-4 emails in that 5 minutes with immaterial attachments. Further I had been connected to the "wrong" network. They admitted I had been over charged but could not guarantee to reverse the charge and would take 24 hours to get back to me. In order to connect to the right network it seems I have to take the Sim card out of the modem, insert it in a phone and then manually connect to their preferred network. I asked them how I was supposed to know this given it isn't in the instructions for the device or on their web site. They had no response. This is a total rip off.
I was debating whether to rent a portable WiFi or purchase one for my next vacation. Jonathan answered all my questions and I decided to purchase from WorldSim
Great idea for making it easy for friends and family to ring you at moderate or no cost to them in the UK and FREE TO YOU abroad.
This is a boon to those travelling to NON EU countries.
For those with unlimited or generous free UK Calls you can divert your mobile to the UK SIMWORLD number.
worldsim.com is a scam!
I had several many with worldsim and particularly the phone rates are ridiculously high!
I) Worldsim advertises a 24h support, but the support is only occupied 8h during normal business days. This is not helpful!
Ii) I have booked a 2 GB data bundle, which was activated as two 1 GB bundles. After I had used less than 500 MB, I was informed that I had used up all my data. They also do not honestly monitor the data usage.
Iii) Same is true for calling! Half of the time the website is not properly working so that you cannot access the actual rates for your phone calls. Next, they charge in two minute increments. Could you please show your rates as price per 2 min if you charge in these increments. And then they had an issues to charge the proper rate and overcharged.
Iv) Although the roaming mode for the sim card was deactivated the sim card could still access the internet and I was charged another 10 $.
V) On the other hand you need to get lucky that the sim card even works. Often the settings are incorrect and you get sim card texts with error message, which also the customer service does not know what they mean. I could also not make and receive calls in the USA.
Vi) The website has regularly issues and you cannot access your account.
To sum it, save yourself time and nerves and go to proper company. Worldsim is a scam!

Very efficient communication. Can only be recommended. Very moderate cost of postage and delivery, nice and rugged products. The telephone tarif are also moderate.
Jonathan from World SIM has just been an outstanding representative in solving my WORLD SIM technical challenges... problems solved quickly and efficiently...
Good Customer Service is scare these days... WOLRD SIM have brought that back.
Well done WOLRD SIM...
Well Done Jonathan.!
ENJOYED! THE SERVICES IN THE COUNTRY I TRAVELLED WOULD DEFINATLY RECOMEND!
Excellent product, allows me to use anywhere in the world without buying local SIM. The rates are excellent, and you can put on auto pilot by enrolling in auto charge
I ordered (AND PAID FOR) my World SIM card almost 2 months ago, and originally the order was delayed because APPARENTLY they needed to verify my identity. This in itself wouldn't bother me, but they never told me they needed to! So they just didn't ship the card and by the time we sorted it out, I had left already. We made arrangements to send the card to my first destination on my trip, but they put the wrong address, so after 1.5 weeks or waiting, I find that the item was being returned to sender. I gave up and asked them to send the item directly to a post office so I can pick it up (hoping it would be quicker) and I was told they would ship it out immediately (I only had 1 more week in that location). After being told 3 times that the item would be shipped immediately, it still hasn't been shipped and I leave in 2 days! Overall the customer service has by abysmal and they make promises that they don't keep. Every time I call the customer service, I speak to another agent and have to fill them in on the entire history, despite having the order number and ticket number for the issue! I have to double check with them for every detail, and I have to call back in every day or 2 to check up on what is happening as I haven't received any information regarding the issue! Terrible customer service and I can't even get the stupid product! It has been 2 months!
Tip for consumers:
Just don't do it!
Short story: This company works on a complete farce.
Long story: Switched to this before undertaking a year trip away (South East Asia, New Zealand, South America). Hadn't heard of the service before so really thought I would get the most of it while travelling extensively.
The prices of the bundles are high but thought may be worth it. Although I should have realised early on that this wasn't going to work out when I paid extra for next day delivery and it hadn't arrived until 1 fortnight later. With very little customer care support.
The data they charge you daily is at the most expensive rates. I topped up my sim twice, maybe three times after receiving it 2 weeks before leaving country of origin (Ireland). Was still left with no credit. Thought, It will get better once I move away, but oh how this has not been the case.
Have not been able to receive any texts or phonecalls whatsoever - even free messages to sign on to public WiFi which my boyfriend has been able to get seamlessly using an Irish network company and 0 credit. Want to top up online and the prices of bundles have doubled. Have contacted the company in their annoying chatbox that nags you about discounts and they have just ended the conversation flatly with no response each time.
Not what is advertised, Recommend to avoid at all costs!
Tip for consumers:
Don't bother!!

World Sim with next day delivery
Hello Jenny C.,
That's really terrible to hear. Please allow us to offer the most sincerest of apologies. 9 out of 10 next day deliveries of WorldSim always reach on time. Yours must have had a really big issue to arrive so late. We will at once look into this matter.
Regarding our Bundles being expensive, that is really difficult to accept on our part because we offer up to 95% reduction in international roaming prices. Did you choose the correct SIM Card followed by the right bundle to go along with it? Please send us the details and we will at once look into the case of high rates.
About the prices of our bundles being double, WorldSIM has never increased their rates suddenly, not once ever. We offer the lowest rates possible in the international roaming scene. Kindly send us a screenshot comparing the sudden rise in rates & we will deal with the preposterous rates in an urgent manner.
You will really help us if you can send your Ticket number/Mobile number at customerservice@worldsim.com (mentioning the ticket number as the SUBJECT line)
We are ready to provide you with any reimbursement if applicable. We promise you won't be disappointed.
Thanks,
WorldSIM Support
The website is kind of a joke so I should have known better than purchasing from them. They are pretty much uncontactable. The phone number goes to a terrible line where you can barely hear the Indian call centre reps who are not empowered to make any decisions and answer every problem with "we're escalating your enquiry" which is a deadend that occasionally results in an open-ended email "ticket" that you cannot reply to (gives an error if you do try) and the mail form on their website produces errors if you try to use it "you haven't entered a correct ticket number" - a catch-all error that is just designed to prevent you from sending messages.
Phone works for a little while and then stops even though the data count on my phone says I've only use 33% of the bundle purchased.
Panic-stricken I bought another bundle which then could not be activated... so bad service it almost makes you wonder if they are just accessing your phone to steal the data or something and then deactivating it and laughing about your continued attempts to use the customer service runaround and even paying them more money. Seriously bad feelings about the whole experience... Stay Away!
Also they sent me an email offering me money to leave a review so I don't believe half of these reviews...
#notpaid
Works for a while and then doesn't without any changes in phone settings. Phone may require several re-starts to start working again.
Today helped by Nancy via useful u tube video to set up link to my phone. Very efficient. Now working perfectly.
Don't believe what you see on their website, WorldSIM are practically lying in how deceptive their prices are. It seems like a great deal but the realty is exactly the opposite. I paid for a SIM card, thinking I would get discounted mobile service overseas but I ended up paying MUCH more for less. Here are three surprises I encountered, hopefully this review will spare you the experience.
1) In Indonesia, only one service is available and my phone tries to constantly connect to it. Following WorldSIM advice actually connects me to it automatically. But instead of the < $0.50 USD per minute advertised rate to call the US, it costs me OVER $5.00 USD, more than 10x the adviertised price.
2) Despite notices everywhere highlighting free incoming calls, they actually charge me $0.17 USD per minute. When confronted, they tell me free calls only apply if someone calls your UK number. This is not mentioned on their website, and is useless to me since I'm based in the US.
3) My phone receives texts but cannot send them. When confronted, they tell me the WorldSIM system is not compatible with Verizon, the US's largest carrier.
I will NEVER use WorldSIM again and feel they owe me money for how deceptive their website is. After spending about $80 on the SIM card and service credit, I'm walking away--better than spending more money for almost nothing.
Dear Josh N.
We hope everything is clear as discussed via email. In case if still any issue, please let us know.
Thanks,
WorldSIM customer support
He's helped me on more than one occasion using online support and has always been really helpful. WorldSim has taken a little getting used to, but it's a great way to bring your phone while traveling.
Although beautifully designed purchased tablet does not work with a 3G network.
Had a lot of problems connecting to web inspite of haven correctly configured settings.
Had to get a local sim
Update 8-30-2017: WorldSim finally did refund my purchase. Here were my previous comments: I have used international Sim cards before in my US unlocked phones without problem. Decided to use WorldSim due to rates and the countries that I was going to be travelling in. They sent me 2 Sim cards and I never was able to get either to work, even after many HOURS of time with their representatives on the phone and on webchat. They also "escalated" my issue numerous times without ANY resolution or rectificcation of my issue. I even tried getting the Sim cards to work BEFORE my trip to make sure things were working. One of their representatives finally agreed on the phone to give me my money back if another escalation did not fix things for me and they still have not refunded my money. I keep getting emails saying that they are escalating the issue and to wait... for weeks and weeks. I finally disputed the charge on my credit card because I never received their service. They make it sound like they have good customer service, but they just keep yessing you, putting you off and stringing you along without actually helping. Beware.
WorldSIM is the world's most connected network saving you up to 95% on your international roaming charges. We specialise in unique travel gadgets and roaming solutions so you can keep in touch with family, friends and business contacts when you travel.
