I am surprised by the amount of negative review. I've always received fresh veggies and meats. I work from home so my boxes don't have a chance to be in the elements for an extended period of time - that said you can schedule what day your delivery comes and plan accordingly. Anyhow, after my discount first box I knew I'd be charged for subsequent boxes unless I paused a week or I called to cancel the service completely. There was quite up front in the information presented to me and I think pretty par for the course as far as ordering on subscription anywhere. I've loved most of my meals, and the ones I didn't like were more just personal preference. I currently have my account on hold now due to my kitchen being gutted for renovations but I'll be back. I've dealt with customer service once and was pleased with their responsiveness and friendly manner.

He said it was too late to add it, even though it won't ship until 3 days, I asked if I was supposed to starve my kid...no solution was offered, I asked for my membership to be canceled, and money refunded, he said it was too late for that as well. Not only is this a clear false advertisement, but the worst customer service and lack of empathy I've encountered in a while.

Cheating & Fooling New Customer
Last week I have seen their offer for new subscription for $21.96 for 4 meals in a week, but NO WHERE they have mentioned that the subscription will be doubled from 2nd week onwards. They have charged $45.46 for 2nd week. After checking with their call centre support, he said that they have added shipping, handling, packaging, etc? So why its not been cleared in their communication on 1st instance only, why kepy all hidden and cheating/fooling customers? Pathetic experience

Signed up May 4,2024, hello fresh picked 2 meals. I was not interested. Emptied the cart, looked at other meals did not find anything I was interested in. Several hours later I noticed 2 unauthorized charges on my debit card to HelloFresh. Cancelled subscription. Customer Service is awful!

I recently have moved and have been declining hello fresh boxes for months. This week I apparently forgot to skip and when I called customer service they informed me I could not get a refund because it was already being prepared. I informed them I didn't pick any of the meals and it was being shipped to an address I no longer live at and they told me I could change the recipes and the address of the box but not receive a refund. This tells me no box has been shipped yet and you just want to keep my money. I am absurdly frustrated and will never be ordering from hello fresh again. I hope this helps others when making their decisions about subscription boxes!
Live chat is the only way to chat with this lot - they are rude and robotic. Save yourself the expense and time by NEVER signing up. If you are already a customer - PROBLEMS will happen and they simply do NOT give a toss and you will lose out.
Someone got ahold of my credit card information and has been charging food, total of1800.00 plus. I have contacted Hello Fresh and they keep telling me contact my bank. They either laugh at me or hang up. I had to cancel one card, and my new card gets charged. Beware if who you do business with.
Be aware if you look at HelloFresh they consider your account to be activated and will send food regardless charging your credit card…. I had not used this service since 2019 was thinking about it / they arbitrarily sent an order for $82.99 to my old residents even though I never claimed to order anything. The new occupants called me to say there was a delivery not a good delivery just a delivery - it had since gone bad as I didn't pick up from my old home until 2 days later. The fact that my looking at an account and Hello Fresh automatically shipped goods is bull$#*!!
I tried the Hello Fresh service but wasn't impressed. The food was ok but all the recipe cards were 'screwed up' in the box and I did not feel it represented good value for money so ultimately I cancelled my subscription and deleted the app. Months later I then had notification of an order going out to me so I immediately called them but they refused to cancel it, saying it was 8 hours after the cut off (but I knew nothing about it until after the cut off!). I disputed the payment with the bank whilst it was still pending and was advised to cancel my debit card, which I did, but the payment has now debited my account. I have advised Evri that I cannot accept delivery and raised another bank dispute. I also spoke with a manager at Hello Fresh who told me that if they didn't receive payment for this 'order' - which I did not place! - they would pass my details onto a debt collection agency. I will fight this all the way through to court if necessary but in the meantime please take note of the numerous negative reviews here and AVOID using this company!

Food looked nasty, tasted even worse, it was tainted. Hello fresh has no fresh vegetables, in fact hardly any veggies at all but if you do get some they're spoiled. One week after eating this food, I got a bad GI bug requiring me to get a 7 hour surgery in a hospital. Stay away for real

After ordering their products we have not even had time to cook one of their meals and they are billing me again in the same month via a subscription. We don't have the space to store all this food that I didn't even order yet. It's just a money thing with these people. Do not get involved with this subscription.
Once you sign up it's very hard to make changes in time for your next delivery. They don't send a reminder email that you need to do this within a time frame to ensure you don't get foods you don't want! I think that's their big mistake and I will not be using them any further.

For many time stretched people these meals can be very useful. They are costly though for what you get. There are options to upgrade your choices to premium but come out very expensive. Be warned!!!

They double charged for my weeks all the time. No one would ever get my refunds done even with proof. They stole $600 from me and all they could do as a refund is $91.50. They will continue to take money from you and refuse to help or do anything about it. I had to cancel my subscription and I'm willing to bet I'll get another charge after I've cancelled.

Signed up for a subscription to view the meals on Feb. 10, didn't see anything I liked, and canceled my account in less than an hour. Then today, I get a message saying my first box will be arriving soon!? My debit card was charged after my account was closed. I had to contact HF customer service, request a refund (5-7 business days), confirm this won't happen again, and now I'm going to wasting food I didn't want in the first place! Total scam!
The produce is awful, they charger you for the next weeks box before the current one has arrived so if you're dissatisfied you still have another week to endure. While paying for the privilege. Not cool. Their customer service is very inconsistent. Some people you speak to are helpful some are rude and don't want to do anything to help. The app is glitchy, I've skipped weeks and they've still charged me and sent to box with no way out of it. Absolutely ridiculous.
To start off they advertise false coupons saying that you'll be getting free meals and end up charging you for it. I tried calling them to explain I wanted to cancel my subscription and that I was charge for it when I was supposed to get free meals and they keep hanging up on me. I cancel the subscription and received an email it was processed and every week they keep charging me for meals that I did not order or authorize them to charge me. The customer service is extremely disrespectful every time I tried to talk to them they will hang up! This company just want to take your money and will charge you without your permission! I had call them 6 times for 6 different transactions that I did not authorize them and they hung up

I clicked on the discount link and its automatically reactivated an account i have not used for 3 years. Took the money out of my account and i contacted them straight away! I was told its not possible to cancel or choose dishes! Absolutaly ridiculios! So i paid for something i cant eat as one of dishes is beef and i dont eat beef! They say you can edit up to 5 days before delivery date but i clicked on the discount 5 days and 2 hours before delivery.
Hello Fresh has a 50% chance of making an error with your weekly meal kit. Either they pack the wrong menu item or about 80% of time there will be missing ingredients. I've been a customer 2 years and they promise to "look into" these problems, yet they occur almost WEEKLY. Also, if there is a holiday they will often mis ship date by 2 or 3 full days. Try Instacart and order your own stuff. That gets there faster and is cheaper

It comes all boxed up w/ recipes and usually the correct amount of ingredients. It's advertised as fast and easy but it's not always; problems w/ missing ingredients. Furthermore even if they perfected this I still have such a disdain for the product I'd never recommend it in any way. It requires the "chef" to dirty a bunch of cups, pots, cutting bored. Which is a burden latter naturally. If you would like to dirty a bunch of kitchen utensils on recipes that are fluffed up go for it. It has led me to nearly having a full blown aneurysm w/ the tedium of it all.

Always great food! I like how they separate the food into individual paper bags which makes cooking and figuring out portions a breeze. I also like the big card they use for each meal. My 10 year old and 14 year old's both can make a dinner from start to finish without help (although I do stay in the kitchen while the stove/oven is on;-).

I absolutely love hello fresh! Their food is absolutely amazing. Have only had 1 meal that was "just ok". Even my daughters love it, age 3 and 7. I should mention we are vegetarian, that being said this review is based on vegetarian meals only.
I've been through 9 boxes so far, ingredients were somewhat fresh. Don't bother calling they will just hang up on you. No help at all. Definitely worth going to another company. They charged my account after I cancelled my order. Beware of these scammers! Hopefully it will be the last time they charge my card

So we kept getting these mail ads for HelloFresh and decided to try them. Bad move. First, they sent an email after the date of arrival of the first "Free" box which never arrived saying that the "carrier notified them that the box had been lost or damaged". I attempted at this point to cancel the subscription which I finally managed to do. No answer at the number provided to call with problems, no response from the auto-mated chat bot, and they are still sending emails saying my package will arrive. This is week two, and neither the first or second box have arrived. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.
