Phone calls and texts did not work. There was an extreme lack of communication until I typed a review. After that, I received contact within 2 hours. They apologized for their lateness and quickly got my paperwork and marketing packages sent out. Thanks to Howard Chow and Jaeyoung Chon for their efforts.
Everything started very well and i was pleased. I paid for each service they offered to me even the fast trac system for additional fees that was approved by the us patent office so i wouldn't have to wait 12 months. Patent examiner rejected my utility patent why offer that service if your going to automatically get rejected. That was a waste money. So i paid additional fees to appeal the patent that almost 2 months i havent heard back from Howard or jay. I have sent emails with no response. I tried to look up the patent pending application on the us patent website and it doesn't exist or even give a patent pending status. It has cost me everything i have to trust this firm i live low income and i am disabled since birth so gathering funds was very difficult. I guess we will wait and see. It's hard to trust people from another state.

Thoughts To Paper Patent Preparation is in my book thee best route to go, they do everything basically, all you have to do is agree and sign. I'm an engineer with a number of patents issued through corporate legal firms. When I was searching for legal services to support the creation of my personal invention I felt a bit comfortable looking for "value". My thinking was I could help augment a less then top-notch service with some of my own experience. With TTP, this turned out to be an unnecessary contingency.
My team of Jay and Kamal were fantastic. No "less than top-notch" here. Jay would respond to inquiries clearly and within a timely manner. The patent engineer Kamal very quickly grasped the intent of what I wanted to do and helped expand upon and reinforce the invention with great insights. They even pushed to meet my request to get my filing in before the holidays.

Shopped around and truthfully the only reason I selected Thoughts to Paper is because they are cheaper then anyone else I contacted. Thing is they always had time to answer my questions, no matter how long it took and treated me with respect. If my invention makes me Gates rich I would still use them.

I would say the people at Thoughts to Paper are very good. It is a difficult task to interpret ideas of others and get a printout & info into a format that could lead to a patent. So if you are a Rookie, give this group a chance & I'm sure they will help out.

Thoughts to Paper helped me file two provisional patents and we are now in the process of filing the utility patents for the inventions. We will see how it goes but so far so good and better service and pricing than the last time I filed a patent application a few years back with another service.
The language of the USPO is unique and needs some 2 way interpretation so the inventor's ideas are clearly expressed in the language of the USPO. The ideas expressed by the inventor should conform to the interpretation of the PO examiner. Keeping order and understanding between the 2 is the T. To P job. I hope my idea's as expressed are acceptable at the USPO.
ThoughtsToPaper re-filed my Patent Pending several years in a row without batting an eye. Last year, they said to be able to re-file you have to make significant changes to your product. If that's true, why did they re-file the first couple of years without mentioning this? They DID charge me to re-file but I never heard a word back about whether it was accepted or denied.
They dropped the ball several times and they also tried to get me to renew several months early "by mistake".
Daniel, if we were all about the money, we would simply not mention if there was something needed to be done to re-file. If based on our review, re-filing is not appropriate, we would let you know or give you some options. If we did charge you and the application was not filed, rest assured we will simply refund you immediately. THey Did everything at the beginning until the fast trac was filed and have heard nothing since. I hope i am wrong and these guys are legit they seem very nice when i told them about losing my daughter they didn’t get pushy like some
Stan, we're working on the response arguments to the patent office and it's on track to be ready before the due date to respond. Your patent attorney will call you Monday to go over everything and answer all your questions, but rest assured everything is on track and in progress. If you ever need to communicate with us, remember we have a live staff manning our phones Monday-Friday 10AM-7PM Eastern. Gary, I apologize for getting work done slower than anticipated. We've had a lot of inventors coming to us recently with the start of the new year and we never want to sacrifice quality so our production times are slower than usual. Please know that it is because we want to do good work, as opposed to fast work. I would rather get it done right and a bit slower, than to do sloppy work, I hope you can appreciate that.
