If you need your order within 5 days, I strongly recommend purchasing elsewhere. I placed a recent order, the website advertised a 2 day shipping option, but it would not let me choose that at check out. I contacted CS to place the order with them, paid a hella high price for their 'standard' shipping, ($29) with an additional $15 fee for "2 Day Express" delivery. My order was processed same day, but not sent to FedEx until 2 days later, with the 'express' information apparently omitted, as FedEx had it as 'standard', and I'm still waiting on delivery 6 days after the fact. Young Explorers are running a shipping scam.
Awful service. I paid extra for two day shipping but it won't be delivered until five days after the order. I emailed customer support. They still haven't responded and it has been three days. Their customer support on the phone is horrible; they are rude and don't want to be bothered. Do not order from them.
Information on the Young Explorers website is not accurate. Customer service is dismal. It is very difficult to get through on the phone and they refuse to honor the free FedEx return shipping for unwanted, over-priced items.

Ordered two items on 12/8/2013, thinking I would receive them by Christmas. One item barely made it in time, the other is still outstanding one month later. Online order status tool does not work. E-mail inquiry goes unanswered for days. Still cannot determine availability on backordered item, and cancelled the order today. Prices seem high for what you get. Shipping charges are excessive. My advice is to find yourself a different toy vendor; these people could care less about you or your business! I would give them "no stars" if that were a choice.
Horrible customer service. Bought the R/C hovercarft and didn't move on any service. Returned it via UPS was signed for by a Young Explorers rep and now stating after 2 weeks that they haven't received it. They claim it takes 4-6 weeks to log into their computer before a credit will be issued! DO NOT buy from this company. Extremely unprofessional.
I will never buy from Young Explorers again. Ordered item as gift to be shipped to grandchild. Never received order update after initial confirmation but got ads for their VIP Club. By the way, their VIPs do not handle anything to do with actual customer service questions. Charged me 8.99 postage on one item. I finally called 7 days later and they just shipped it! Then I was told 3-5 days before arrives. While on the phone with a rep from another country, they asked me to repeat addresses they already had under the order number. Sorry, lostbit. I will be credited postage amount but no present on time for my granddaughters part!
I ordered several items for my nephews birthdays on May 21,2020. By June 2,2020, I still had not received a notification the items had shipped. I called them, and they claimed there was a problem with my shipping address. I asked why they did not call me, and the "customer service" guy, so very eloquently said "we are not calling our customers if there is a problem". Seriously?! You're going to be silent? When I pressed the issue, he said they supposedly send an email. I never received their email! Stay away from this company. They do not care about customers, they fail to provide even the most basic customer service, seriously Walmart is better, and they generally do not seem to care. There are soooo many other places you can buy from. Avoid this horrible company at all costs! I will be watching my credit card to make sure they do not attempt to charge me for items, which they clearly have no intention of sending. (That's called theft.)
We place an order on 12-19-21 with rush delivery for $18.94. Package received 12-30-21. We wrote customer service 3 or 4 times NEVER got an answer. I called customer service got someone in a foreign country who was no help, blamed Fed Ex and said rush shipping always takes 5 to six days. I am in Chicago the package was sent from NJ. By usps it would have cost, maybe $11.00 and taken 3 days. I am in the mail order business, if I treated my customers like this I could not afford Young Explrers
Made an order and suppose to get a discount and free shipping. Didn't see either one. They said it would make it by Christmas it is two days after Christmas and it still hasn't shown up. If you go to their website and try their contact us option you just get a giant run around. My grandkids leave early tomorrow morning and live two thousand miles away so I guess I will have to pay shipping to get it to Phoenix. I will never buy anything else from them. The only ones more disappointed than me are my grandkids. I hope you people feel good about yourself but I see I'm not the only one you screwed. You are an embarrassment to the real toy stores
I ordered over a week paid $4.00 for expedited shipping and will not get my items until Dec 24. Funny how I ordered from another company in the same state the same day, did not pay for expedited shipping and I got it 2 days ago. Will never order from them again. Should have read the other reviews. Did not receive until December 26. Ordered on Dec 14. Now if I send it back it will cost me $43.00.
I have notified them that one of my grand daughters b day presents never arrived. They said to wait and then wait some more. After another 2 weeks I sent another e mail on 10-9-21 and still have not heard anything, They are not answering me.
I noticed now that the website is down. 10/29/21 merchandise was ordered on 9-4-21
Do no know what to think of this but I will call my credit card company for help now.

I ordered toys for boys and girls but the problem was with a fit bit watch never received.
They kept saying it is shipped but was not package that came. Also her birthday was 9-22 and the package came on 9-23 and ordered 9-4-21. she is also registered with them for her b day etc.
I have all the e mails to verify this but want to see if they will reply now.......???
They get one star because 0 is not an option. I have an order number but no confirmed ship date. Customer service responds with computers are down - seriously, since 10/16? No problem last year with order but stay away this year!

Ordered a toy for grandson which was not what I expected. I called and asked for a return authorization and prepaid shipping label as their website clearly states. I was told a return label would be emailed to me within 48 as mailing it to me was much longer. After 86 hours I called back as I had not received the label. I was told the first agent was mistaken and they don't issue labels. I am responsible for shipping. I told the agent that the website clearly states to request a FedEx prepaid return label. Oh you can request it, but I have to pay for it. Very shady and I will not be making any purchases in the future.
They charged ridiculous rates for expedited shipping and it took 12 days to arrive. After refunding $15 for the "expedited" shipping, two weeks later a mysterious $14.95 charge appeared on my credit card. Apparently, when you order, they "enroll" you in a VIP group that automatically charges you monthly! This is credit card FRAUD! I can promise you I would have never enrolled in anything with this company after my initial experience! BUYER BEWARE!
I purchases two pair of shoes for my grandson since the stated size was not the same as other shoes he is currently wearing. NO label came in the package but when I called to return one pair, they stated that they only send one label and would not email return paper work and label. I did have my order number and they were able to find the order but were not willing to assist in anyway. They suggested I just write out the info and find someplace to mail it back at my cost. With seven grandchildren, they have lost my business. I will never order from them again because of the inconvenience, the over pricing, rudeness, and their return policy.
This business won't tell you if items are in stock. You'll ask for rushed shipping and find your item is on backorder. No one will tell you this. You have to find it out yourself. Also, don't bother with their customer service. I'm pretty sure it doesn't actually exist.
To make a long story short, on November 14th I placed an order with Young Explorers. Today's date is December 6th and after several phone calls I still don't have my order, not to mention, the item that I ordered was priced at $49.95 and I ended up being charged $74.80. I will never order anything from this company again. I should have read the reviews. P.s. As far as proof-of-purchase, are you kidding? From this company, all you get is the run-around!

On 12/11, I placed an order online and paid $24 for expedited shipping. All items said they were in stock. They did not ship until 12/15 and they shipped it via FedEx SmartPost which is not quick shipping. I am currently trying to track down my package with the USPS and it looks like I am not going to get these items before Christmas.
I tried to call them to complain about the "expedited" shipping, but was on hold for an hour and then gave up.
Save yourself some stress and don't order from them!
Customer service is non-responsive. I have contacted Young Explorers via multiple ways trying to get a refund from items that I sent back in November 2021 but have never heard any response even though I have sent them all documentation that they could possibly ask for. Cancelled my orders but still received the items that I ended up having to pay shipping for to have them sent back. No refunds for the stuff I sent back and still waiting almost a year to hear about my refund. Paid for stuff I sent back and didn't keep. I will never order from this company again.

I purchased a Jr. Engineer Motorized Construction Set for my nephews before the Holidays and have had nothing but problems ever since. The item took over a month to reach its destination and then it was defective due to a bad motor. The unbelievable hassle I had to go through for a "replacement" to be sent was insane. And then on top of it all I was CHARGED for the replacement and never told what additional fees and or BS was involved in the return process. This company seems like they make most of their money off of customers who didn't get what they were paying for and then just gave up after 15 minute hold times and trying to get ACTUAL customer service. Long story short: You will probably want to look elsewhere, this company is not reputable.

When I saw a pending 14.95 Amex charge I called them as I had no clue what it was. Fortunately they had a call center that picked up late at night and I spoke with Erica, a very patient representative. Apparently I have been a MEMBER for 4 months. She credited back the 4 months of charges and CANCELED my subscription. WOW, how do these scams worm their way into your life? Check your charges monthly, i guess these days its no surprise you will find someone robbing you.
I try to be careful and purchase from reputable sites. Ive learned the hard way never to buy from those 'pop-up' ads. I clearly let my guard down here looking for Christmas gifts.

This company is not worthy of a single star! They sent the WRONG item. I invested my shipping materials and $12.95 to return it, gas to drive to the post office and time to complete these tasks. There was also the time I spent on hold twice and was disconnected on the second call. When you email them, they respond by saying that they'll get back to you and NEVER do. To date, they have not reimbursed the return shipping costs. Let alone compensate me for what I had to do to fix THEIR mistake.
I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy. I will NEVER do business with them again!

I unfortunately, assumed that because the business was called YoungExplorers, it was an educational toy company, gathering the best products for children interested in science and discovery, Imagine my surprise when I received my order an it turned out to be the plastic, cheap crap I was trying to avoid. Lesson learned. I will not be using them and I will be telling others not to as well.
Unbelievably horrible experience! My online order was duplicated which meant not only did I receive 2 products, but of course I was charged twice. Customer service offered a refund but told me they did not have return shipping labels "at this time" and I would have to pay the shipping to return the duplicate item. Shipping was $55. Price of the item $59.99. I called back and they told me to return the item, pay the shipping and they would review the charges and determine if a refund for the shipping was possible (but not guaranteed). Highway robbery as far as I'm concerned. I prefer to keep the item and give it away. Not to mention they remove all negative reviews from their website. How convenient!
I ordered two toys for my grandson on Sunday, July 12,2020, and paid for rush delivery which was promised by Thursday, July 16,2020. When the package did not arrive, I contacted customer service and was told that the order was "in progress." This was a real disappointment to me and my grandson. I canceled my order and do not recommend YE for anyone who wants a product and service that they promise. BTW, I ordered the same product from Amazon and received it in two days.
