After purchasing a car coat for just under $80 I wore it a handful of times before noticing the fabric badly pilling and the seam falling apart as it was sewn incorrectly. Upon returning the coat to the store with receipt I asked for an exchange, it was outside the 30 day window so they would not do anything. I did not request a refund, just an exchange I was instructed to take it up with customer service. OMG WHAT A JOKE. When they called they lied their way through their rehearsed jubberish. I asked questions relating to what I was just told, I was put in hold before he informed me the things he JUST said were done, actually werent. The company has to look up the definition of customer service if that is the term they are going to use for their call center.
In the end... HORRIBLE quality, disgusting customer service. This company only cares about getting what money they can before everyone realizes what trash clothing they sell. Disgusting they can operate this type of business.
Spread the word and tell people not to purchase items from Zara. I have and will continue to do so. Theyve lost my daughters and friends.

I bought a gift card today and it took me an hour to spend $100. I had to go on their Chat line twice and every time I submitted a comment or question it took 5-8 minutes to get even a response from them. Who ever designed their web page should be fired. My 13 year old niece would do a better job than the people you wasted your money on to design your webpage. I can assure you I will never buy from them again.

BOGUS Customer Service
December 24, 2017

I recently ordered pants from Zara online. When they came I waited a few days to open them and then once I did I realized I ordered both pairs in the wrong size. I quickly went online to make the exchange but accidentally ended up just ordering as the correct size as a new purchase. Not thinking much of it I figured I would just return the pants to the store. With a lot going on and no store close by, I attempted to bring back the pants about a week after the 30 day window. They refused to give me store credit for the $90 I spent online. I shop there ALL THE TIME. I spoke to customer service online two different times and they insisted there was "nothing they can do." I am a hard working teacher in NY and was a regular shopper at Zara. I find it shocking that there is nothing they can do to simply give me store credit for another product in their store. They are pants that are STILL being sold there. It's truly incredible that there was no willingness to even consider a store credit for the product that does not fit me. I'm truly disgusted by this money hungry corporation who cares more about a bogus 'policy' than their hardworking, paying customers. After 10 years of shopping there they have most definitely lost a customer in me. Such a shame.

NEVER BUY FROM ZARA
December 23, 2017

I have been to a Zara store today in Covent Gardenand had the most frustrating experience ever and in the end, they made me look like a fraudster.

I bought a £30 gift card and after paying the lady who served me, I walked a few yards away from the till on my way to leave the store and when I opened the little box, there was no card inside. I came back to the till straight away without leaving the store and complained. The lady looked very confused and I asked them to check CCTV.

After 20 minutes they came back out saying that she did put the card inside the box but she hasn't. They wanted to make me believe in that evidence but they wouldn't want to believe in me when I said that she made a mistake. She never came back out and she knows, they know she made a mistake. The security said she would have to pay double if she made a mistake so that's probably why they want to keep on her side and claim she did out the card inside the box.

I would never make such a fuss for £30, it's about the principle, she made a mistake just won't admit it.

I asked them to show me the evidence but they said for Data protection they couldn't. That data is about me for God's sake.

I called the police but hey were useless saying it's a civil matter. If I had committed a crime they would call the police and the store would even check all the cameras, l but why would they not check the cameras to see whether I took the card out of the box, hid it and went back to ask for another one? They did not check other cameras and they were very unhelpful and at one point rude.

I am taking this further but I am sure they would never go against the member of staff. I'm very annoyed as I am an honest person and they basically told me I was lying to them. They even suggested that maybe I was pick pocketed but how?! There was no one around me, I was inside the store and away from the till for 20 seconds...

If they have nothing to hide why won't they show me the CCTV where they claim shows the staff putting the card inside the box?!

I have been a customer for many years now but they treated me like a thief. It's probably safe to buy from them as I have been for a long time but one day...

I order from Zara and my package was not delivered. Online appeared that was delivered by the side door which I don't have. I called customer service and they said they will do an investigation on the case. They called me today with the resolution- no reimbursement and no replacement. ZARA is DEAD for me. I will never order from them again!

Never received my items
December 15, 2017

Bought 3 items on their website as presents for Xmas. Never received them. Zara refused to refund or reship the items claiming that I did receive them even though there was no signature on the delivery (said it was left at door, but there was nothing there). They conducted an investigation and decided everything was fine. I never got them and had to contact my credit card company so they could demand a refund on their end! Terrible customer service, horrible experience, never shopping here again.

Hi, don't shop at Zara or any Inditex stores because they don't pay their workers. Also the factory owner disappeared with all the money that workers should have gotten. With that shoppers are finding notes in their clothing that said "i made this item that you are going to buy but i didn't get payed for it". Thanks for reading my review, hopefully it will change your mind about shopping at these stores.

I strongly recommend against buying a Zara gift card, or allowing them to transfer the balance of a return to one of their cards. I tried to use my card for the first time today and it came up as invalid on their "activate card" site. I first tried to resolve this issue through chat. The customer service person told me they couldn't help me and that I needed to call customer service. I called customer service and spoke to Lorenzo who told me this was an in-store issue and that I would need to call the store. I asked to speak to a manager, and he told me he is the manager and that I would need to call Corporate in order to file a higher complaint, but he would not give me the phone number. I called Corporate and spoke to Jessie, who told me I need to call customer service for any complaints. When I told her that Lorenzo said I had to call Corporate, Jessie said that she couldn't imagine why he would have said that as only customer service can handle complaints. Is this honestly how Zara runs its business? I am amazed at the run around I just received and still no sign of resolving my issues anywhere in sight.

The shipping company " ONTRACK' Zara used did not deliver my package. I saw the ONTRACK delivery truck passed by my house, but the driver did not drop off anything. However tracking record said " delivered." right after. I immediately called Zara cutomer service and talked DANIEL. He suggested to wait till next Monday. ( It happened on Friday afternoon.) There was no delivery on Monday either, so I called Zara customer service for replacement or refund whick Daniel promised. Two days later they responded to me via email; NO REFUND NOR REPLACEMENT. THE PACKAGE WAS DELIVERED AT THE FRON DOOR. I was at the front door at the time truck passed by and called customer service to report the incident. I am very upset the fact Zara did not try to investigate the case. It really discourages me to make another purchase on line.

The sipping company they use for their online orders will STEAL the merchandise. And while they say they will take care of it, days go by without so much as an email or a call. Don't bother. Either go to the store if you like this brand so much or order from a responsible company like Amazon.

Not sure whether they are using automatic reply or anything like that. When you chat with them, they don't ever understand what you are saying and the conversation will automatically end after some time. And the reason why I contacted them was that I ordered a pair of shoes with size 9 and they gave one in size 9 and one in size 8.5... unbelievably dumb.

Shopped at Perimeter Mall in Atlanta. Picked out $400 worth of clothing to buy.! Cashier and a little latin guy working who the cashier said is the manager. 1 lady in line took over 30 min to return several items. 9 people in line waiting behind her. 2 more left after leaving clothes on the floor. We asked why the manager doesn't help and the rude cashier said he isn't allowed to work behind the counter, that's company policy. We will never be back.

Zara is by far the worst company to deal with. They act as though returning a pair of pants 3 days after their return policy is a life or death situation. Absolutely no sympathy for extenuating circumstances. Will never shop here again. I wish there was a rating for ZERO on here.

Bad customer service
November 23, 2017

My friend bought a top at zara and lost the receipt but it was charged on their visa and the tags were still on the top. Zara would not reimburse her or give her a store credit. Terrible customer service and for 40 dollars they have lost the business of all our HO staff as i am going to make sure everyone knows. Best advertisement is word of mouth.

Policy is really bad
November 22, 2017

I had bought a jacket from Zara and the zipper always get caught on the fabric. In just 2 weeks the fabric got ripped. So I called customer service and asked for a replacement. To my surpise, they said they cannot do any exchange/rerturn without original receipt. They said "NO EXCEPTIONS" and I am really disappointed at their policy. Other big chain companies will accept my credit card statement and at least give me a store credit.

Never buy from ZARA (ever again).

Zara shipped me a damaged item, and they refused my return. Their customer service said I have to pay for this damaged item in full prize.

Zara really sucks... the quality of their clothes are even more worse than before. Also, even more terrible customer services.

You will never know you next packages including any damaged items, and you will never have a chance to return or get a refund. Because they think you made the item damaged. So customer have to pay for their damaged items.

They Refuse to Refund me
November 14, 2017

Zara misplaced a package with items worth $230 and refuses to refund me or send me my items. I even went as far as getting the delivery service to submit proof that they delivered all the packages to me (they refused and stated that they were informed to return items to Zara). Two investigations by Zara and they still refuse to credit or send me my items. I've been purchasing items from Zara since 2011, and will never shop at their store again.
