“Best of a bad bunch”

rm s.
2/12/18

All of the real estate referrals for rentals, Vacation homes, and furnished apartments are extraordinarily expensive for what you get. In almost all cases tenants pay between six and 18% premium plus a 2 1/2% deduction for Credit card payments after the property owner pays $400 to advertise on their site. Zillow is the last of the free sites that operates just like a classified advertisement. So save yourself 10% on every vacation booking I'm getting contact with the owners directly via Zillow

“Becoming a Zillow premier agent”

David C.
7/25/24

We became Zillow Premier agents 5/29/24. Our first experience was a showing "no show," that was double booked with another Zillow agent, at the same property, 30 minutes prior. Agent support could not explain how this could happen. We agreed to paying $800/month for 4 leads who Zillow said would be verified pre-screened, pre-qualified leads that are ready to buy and are requesting to book appointments. This lead counted as one. With multiple calls, emails, and an escalation to supervisors, Zillow still has no explanation how this happened. They have now credited $250.00 for this one lead. In 2 months, we have had 2 bookings, both no shows. 2 calls were customers who already have agents, 2 calls were customers who requested to speak with listing agent only, 1 who pushed button to speak with for sale by owner, and none who were pre-qualified or ready to buy. In addition, we had multiple messages that we had missed a Zillow connection call, though our phones did not ring. We connected two phones to our account to ensure that we didn't miss calls and troubleshooted re-uploading app, resetting phone options, etc. and could still not answer calls once they did ring. Each of these went against our answer % rate and showed as missed or declined. When we received other calls they repeatedly failed to connect though we answered every time. We reported this multiple times through calls and emails and requested a refund. Agent support assured us that they were working to resolve and app was being updated and problem was being reported to their engineers then committed to follow up but would not return calls nor have ever provided compensation. Each failed lead was a missed opportunity to connect with a potential client which is impossible to put a price on. None of this was due to our phone system or lack of understanding how to answer. Our phone works perfectly for our other leads and clients every other day. Our phones are our business. We looked at a lot of reviews on other platforms and now realize how bad it is. We wanted to do this review to help any other agents thinking of become a premier agent. Don't waste your money it's a scam. Sent from Mail for Windows

Zillows estimated price of my property is way off. Just had a professional appraisal cause I'm thinking of selling. They were off by $70,000. Will NEVER consider them as a reliable assessor

Zillow can't seem to get my home listed for sale, even after several attempts with Zillow support. They are very ineffective at what they do per my experience.

No matter what you type in as a limit on the amount of rent you can afford, they only show places way out of the price range any average person could afford. Waste of time! 0

Started using postlets.com not too long ago to list apartments for rent and I have to say I love it. Because it posts listing in many different websites and gets you leads. Recommend to all Realtors.

HOW DARE THIS SITE POST INFORMATION ABOUT SOMEONE 'S HOME WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT? Zillow posted my home as in foreclosure and available. I am living in it and I am NOT in foreclosure nor am I selling my home! I expect the immediate removal of my home from this site. If this does not take place, I will seek legal means against the company! HOW DARE YOU HUMILIATE PEOPLE AND THEIR HOMES BY POSTING INACCURATE INFORMATION? You should be ashamed of your unethical practices!

Their 'zestimates' are so inaccurate it is almost laughable. They valued the home next door to me at $185k. It's been stripped to the bones. No walls, plumbing, wiring, etc. Someone even stole the /ac unit. At the same time, they valued my home at $184k. FYI, my home does have walls. I wouldn't trust ANY of their so called 'home values'.

Zillow.com is a joke. My wife accidentally browsed their website and found our house listed there, but the information about the house is completely wrong: nothing but the address is correct and they even got the house square footage off by 50%. I sent Zillow.com an email asking them to correct the misinformation since I could not find a contact number to call them. When I got the email reply back, I am stunned that they ask me to register on their website and correct the misinformation myself. How ridiculous is that? First of all, I have no interest to register on their website. Second, I did not create this misinformation and have no intention to make changes to something that I did not create. It makes me wonder how this company obtained, filtered, reviewed (for errors), and managed the housing data before they put it on their website. I would not trust the housing data on their website, nor do I want to do any business with them.

On a side note, it was not until I got to this website to post my review on Zillow.com did I realized that there have been so many negative reviews on them already. I would give them zero start if the web software allowed it.

Our Zestimate on Zillow was around 200 K. We spoke to two area real agents both Zillow agents. We then decided to try Zillow's Make Me Move option which is free. Over the course of 5 days Zillow had our property drop to 125K! Repeatedly emails from Zillow say their algorithm doesn't update for two months and its prime selling season. I found many other consumers on consumer websites complain about absurb low evaluations that they won't fix that make them eventually list with a real agent. Others claim agents are getting into Zillow and changing values. Our home had many amenties not listed on Zillow including a new pole barn that cost 25K, and 10 acres but it doesn't matter. List your home on Zillow for Free and your value will fall to the ground, especially if you talk to one of their Zillow agents first. DO NOT USE Trulia or Zillow. Its a headache and a huge scam. I can't believe the Attorney General of the US has not stopped their use of their unethical zestimates.

Zillow is really easy to use, and I like to use it for fun to look up some of the prices of houses, apartments, etc in my neighborhood. Great for when I am curious about real estate.

I am specifically reviewing Zillow mortgage page/tab. Do not waste your time there. It will give you a quote from several lenders that are just made-up quotes and ARE NOT backed up by the lenders
Once they call you (I suggest you do not put your real phone number there or they will bug you for several days) you realize that the quotes you got on Zillow are not real, and the real quotes are much higher (even when you call the same day - 15 min later)
DO NOT TRUST RATE AND FEE QUOTES AT ZILLOW
Look elsewhere

My husband and I are trying to sell our home and our agent said NOT to look at Zillow because of the consistent inaccuracies and now we believe her. We looked at our house which we built in 1989 and have never sold but the Zillow site reads that we have sold it for $45K and $100K. WRONG When using this site please don't believe what you read.

Our house was showing $230K week 1, $250K week 2, $259k week 3, $222k week 4, and the vaulation curve has also been changed. This seems a bit dramatic to me. House nearbvy all similar and their pricing is all over the place, there is no consistency.

Zestimate goes up or down 10+% in a matter of days when nothing has changed about a home! Zestimate on a home can be 15+% off from other estimates such as realtor.com etc.

I've been following home estimated values on Zillow as well as other real estate sites for a few years now. One thing I've noticed consistently from Zillow is that their estimated zestimate forecast is always wrong and usually way beyond low-balled. For example my home has been appraised at purchase by the bank as well as I had my own appraisal done. Both of the appraisals came in 25% higher than the Zillow Zestimate. Needless to say that is a huge margin and I dont think its right for Zillow to post false data on home estimates, because when it comes time to sell a home this will raise questions and concern to a buyer reviewing Zillows info on a home priced more than Zillows estimate. If you look on other similar sites you will find the estimate values to be more and right around the asking price of the seller. Another detail I've noticed is they have not updated their Satellite views with the latest available ( you can check this against google maps). This is essential in the purchasing perspective as people like to scope out the aerial view of the home they have interest in.

My client found a for sale by owner on Zillow they wanted to see. The seller priced his home at what Zillow showed the value to be...$345,000... It was actually worth $385,000 My clients closed on the property 30days later with $40,000 in equity.
PLEASE DO NOT GO BY ZILLOW VALUES! SOMETIMES THEY HAVE IT TO LOW SOMETIMES IT IS TO HIGH! THEY ARE NOT ACCURATE.
