“Best of a bad bunch”

rm s.
2/12/18

All of the real estate referrals for rentals, Vacation homes, and furnished apartments are extraordinarily expensive for what you get. In almost all cases tenants pay between six and 18% premium plus a 2 1/2% deduction for Credit card payments after the property owner pays $400 to advertise on their site. Zillow is the last of the free sites that operates just like a classified advertisement. So save yourself 10% on every vacation booking I'm getting contact with the owners directly via Zillow

“Becoming a Zillow premier agent”

David C.
7/25/24

We became Zillow Premier agents 5/29/24. Our first experience was a showing "no show," that was double booked with another Zillow agent, at the same property, 30 minutes prior. Agent support could not explain how this could happen. We agreed to paying $800/month for 4 leads who Zillow said would be verified pre-screened, pre-qualified leads that are ready to buy and are requesting to book appointments. This lead counted as one. With multiple calls, emails, and an escalation to supervisors, Zillow still has no explanation how this happened. They have now credited $250.00 for this one lead. In 2 months, we have had 2 bookings, both no shows. 2 calls were customers who already have agents, 2 calls were customers who requested to speak with listing agent only, 1 who pushed button to speak with for sale by owner, and none who were pre-qualified or ready to buy. In addition, we had multiple messages that we had missed a Zillow connection call, though our phones did not ring. We connected two phones to our account to ensure that we didn't miss calls and troubleshooted re-uploading app, resetting phone options, etc. and could still not answer calls once they did ring. Each of these went against our answer % rate and showed as missed or declined. When we received other calls they repeatedly failed to connect though we answered every time. We reported this multiple times through calls and emails and requested a refund. Agent support assured us that they were working to resolve and app was being updated and problem was being reported to their engineers then committed to follow up but would not return calls nor have ever provided compensation. Each failed lead was a missed opportunity to connect with a potential client which is impossible to put a price on. None of this was due to our phone system or lack of understanding how to answer. Our phone works perfectly for our other leads and clients every other day. Our phones are our business. We looked at a lot of reviews on other platforms and now realize how bad it is. We wanted to do this review to help any other agents thinking of become a premier agent. Don't waste your money it's a scam. Sent from Mail for Windows

I have tried to post my home on "make me move" it states that there is a 72 hour "verification" period. It is now one week later and still home is NOT posted! Called several times and the cust. Service rep stated that it is still being verified. Give me a break! I am going to the competitors and listing my home with them! Zillow you suck! AND I would give no stars but have to put something.

I only have a short time. I was given 90 days to move I've been using zillow daily for the past 2 months to no avail. When I am able to get a message to them I leave my phone number in hopes someone will call me with an affordable place. So far just emails with places I can't afford I mean with 2000 and 3000 dollar rents who the hell can afford that. Yet every time I use there site I always enter the same filters. It's funny how the site has you set up a username and password to save but they don't save information about your needs. Often I get houses listed for sale believe me if I wasn't just starting my credit now I would buy. But sadly I can't get a loan. I just hope I don't end up homeless bad enough our landlord is putting us out. And please no negative responses here you don't know the whole situation and I hope you will never have to experience what our landlord is putting us through.

Terrible customer service, nobody answers phone except for revenue issues. Owners and realtors have issues with inaccurate property information. They do not correct erroneous listings in reasonable time frame. The zestimate is misleading and only licensed property appraisers should be able to make this determination whereas their logarithmic formulas are not accurate and in many cases harm property owners and purchasers. They are political and use this to injure people who do not share their views. Feds need to break them up now.

I have no idea what happened, my house was at $850,000. Now it's at $767,000 2 weeks later. That's almost $100,000. Just keeps going down. By the end of the month. It should be worth about 10k. What a joke for almost 2 acres of lake shore property...

I put my house up for sale and had plenty of responses. A lot of RE agents bothered me to list with them, but I saved $7000 for the trouble, and could have saved twice that if the eventual buyer was smart enough to contact me directly instead of contacting an RE agent to contact me. Put in the ad to be contacted directly, also invite agents to bring their clients capping their commish at 2.5-3%, then save half or even all the commish.

Thanks Zillow. Now if you could just objectively improve your RE agent reviews instead of making them a cheering section...

I so highly recommend this guy. He is relentless for his clients he never gives up never says die. Every time I turned around there was another obstacle slowing down the sale of my house, but Joe never gave up I truly believe if it hadn't been for him I would have given up. Thank you for being one super realtor

Attempted to list a property through MLS. Zillow delinced the listing, yet Trulia and Hot Pads (Zillow sister companies) accepted. Reported problem with listings. OVER A WEEK no response. Zillow gives the appearance they just don't care if the information is accurate. I had a sales person call to sell me advertising space the next day. I told him HOW could I be associated with someone who doesn't react to problems. I understand why the company is losing money and coming up with the "Latest Technology" and raising money for new ventures. Their execution is BROKEN and need other people money to keep them going. I would retract this review if they called me and fixed the problem.

Zillow is not accurate. Some listings they have all previous price history, some only current history. Their zestimates can be way off compared to comparative area studies. I would not recommend them as an accurate source of information.

We like the idea of dealing directly with our tenants to make sure they will take care of our property. We placed our rent house on Zillow October 10th. Third responder signed a year's lease starting November 1st and happily stated our house was exactly what he was looking for. Will definitely use Zillow again in the future.

Thanks
Ray

March 2016 we had our Realtor in TN locate a Realtor here in Longview, TX. She recommended Dona Willett with Summers Real Estate Group. Dona is like talking to a friend and we felt comfortable with her soon as we met. Once we found the house their were some issues, and she stayed on top of it up until the closing. We are talking 7 long weeks. While she was on vacation she called from the airport checking on things. If she was out of the office Brandy stepped in and helped. We could not have asked for a more personable, professional agent. Always up-beat with a ready smile. We closed on our home 6/27/16
We highly recommend Dona Willett with Summers Real Estate Group.

Zillow is a scam if you are selling by owner. They do not show FSBO listings to buyers, unless the buyer knows to change their settings to show FSBO listings, otherwise they are hidden, and only shown to realtors and investors, who then blow up your phone with calls and text messages, dozens a day, wanting you to list with them or sell for half price. I listed for three months and had no calls from buyers. All of my legitimate buyer calls came from my sign on the property.

To Whom It May Concern:

Kathleen Hill, with Berkshire Hathaway spent hours and miles over two long weekends, helping us find the home we wanted. Her availability through numerous phone calls and emails was essential with the remote closing process. We appreciate her considerate, objective observations and suggestions which helped us make informed conclusions/decisions.

Respectfully,

Kenneth and Clair Roe

In our recent purchase, Zillow +Redfin+our buying agent were all necessary to get a great house. It was not the "lowest price" house, but the right school district+walkable location+ house with great bones+ right size. Mind you, Zillow is just "one" tool, however what else is available to buyers? The buyer's agent, while very experienced and on our side, is not perfect either. For us, having many reference points, such as our agent, city tax assessment, recent sales, Zillow's data were all necessary to make a better choice.

I listed my home with my agent as per normal. Zillow picked up the listing and slammed us with a very low Zestimate and outrageously low priced comps. I have been trying for two weeks to get some straight answers from Zillow and have had little success. This directly impacts our home sale. Zillow should not be allowed to get away with gross misrepresentation's that they admit may be "inaccurate".

They are very rude and keep pressuring you to buy the land when you are not comfortable with it. They have hassled me so much. They make the whole situating much more stressful than it should be. To be exact, Alex at Zillow keeps hounding me. He will not leave me alone or answer any questions for me. Never using Zillow for anything.

Tip for consumers:
Alex is the worst person to talk to.

I would like to thank everyone that posts on Zillow and then promptly does not respond to multiple e-mails and calls. Really appreciate it - I guess it's not that important to find a place to live. Maybe you will see me on a street corner somewhere holding a homeless sign due to your negligence.

I would not recommend using zillow to sell your home. They don't allow the owner to be contacted directly, buyers have to contact a realtor the way it's set up.

They removed my listing by owner and never notified me. I have lost time and clients. No phone number to contact a live person.

Zillow.com falsely advised our house in Naples Florida as Sold, the date it was sold and the price paid, the mortgage I had, this was all complete load of lies,
There is no one I can complain to about this site, and because the house is a rental has caused me no end of problems with my guests who have rented the house from me, any help would be appreciated

I was looking for buying a townhouse or small house in Ellicott City (MD). About 50% that I found on Zillow.com as "available to buy" were sold or under contract in reality. Finally I bought a townhouse in Dec 2012 for $290,000, however in Nov 2013, my townhouse was marked on the website as "Sold May 2013 for $318,000". Where does the site gain information about houses?

I'm working in Bogatov Realty Inc., successful company with a high indicator of sales.
We signed up for Zillow leads service in the end of 2013. The result from it is absolutely ZERO!
The company pay $2500 per month, but never get a real leads. Its leads look like a fake with wrong phone numbers and nonexistent emails.
We want to stop our contract, but cancellation fee is $6000! This is like a real trap! We are disappointed!

I have a home listed incorrectly on Zillow. I have called multiple times and my Realtor has attempted to contact them as well. Neither of us have been successful despite the message- We will get back with you shortly. We are going to miss out on multiple views due to Zillows error. I have a 4 bedroom 2 bath home which Zillow has listed as a 1/1. I understand mistakes happen but have the means to correct the mistake. This is completely unprofessional and going to cost me in the end.
