Zillow has a rating of 1.5 stars from 582 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about Zillow most frequently mention real estate, customer service, and home value problems. Zillow ranks 1310th among Real Estate sites.
All of the real estate referrals for rentals, Vacation homes, and furnished apartments are extraordinarily expensive for what you get. In almost all cases tenants pay between six and 18% premium plus a 2 1/2% deduction for Credit card payments after the property owner pays $400 to advertise on their site. Zillow is the last of the free sites that operates just like a classified advertisement. So save yourself 10% on every vacation booking I'm getting contact with the owners directly via Zillow
We became Zillow Premier agents 5/29/24. Our first experience was a showing "no show," that was double booked with another Zillow agent, at the same property, 30 minutes prior. Agent support could not explain how this could happen. We agreed to paying $800/month for 4 leads who Zillow said would be verified pre-screened, pre-qualified leads that are ready to buy and are requesting to book appointments. This lead counted as one. With multiple calls, emails, and an escalation to supervisors, Zillow still has no explanation how this happened. They have now credited $250.00 for this one lead. In 2 months, we have had 2 bookings, both no shows. 2 calls were customers who already have agents, 2 calls were customers who requested to speak with listing agent only, 1 who pushed button to speak with for sale by owner, and none who were pre-qualified or ready to buy. In addition, we had multiple messages that we had missed a Zillow connection call, though our phones did not ring. We connected two phones to our account to ensure that we didn't miss calls and troubleshooted re-uploading app, resetting phone options, etc. and could still not answer calls once they did ring. Each of these went against our answer % rate and showed as missed or declined. When we received other calls they repeatedly failed to connect though we answered every time. We reported this multiple times through calls and emails and requested a refund. Agent support assured us that they were working to resolve and app was being updated and problem was being reported to their engineers then committed to follow up but would not return calls nor have ever provided compensation. Each failed lead was a missed opportunity to connect with a potential client which is impossible to put a price on. None of this was due to our phone system or lack of understanding how to answer. Our phone works perfectly for our other leads and clients every other day. Our phones are our business. We looked at a lot of reviews on other platforms and now realize how bad it is. We wanted to do this review to help any other agents thinking of become a premier agent. Don't waste your money it's a scam. Sent from Mail for Windows
He lied to me and played games when tried to get title insurance. He even made a joke of this situation by sending an email about me and my lawyer to me instead of someone else. Not a good person to do business with.
I am not even allowed to change MY address at MY property without the hassles of going down to the City and asking for a
Form that shows my residence address has changed. Zillow was not worried about that when I 1st advertised, did not question
The address I put in one time. We just simply advertise now with Apartment Guide. All advertising we had on Zillow has been
Deactivated. We lost over 2 weeks of prospective renters while I waited for a response from Zillow to change my address just
To find out Sara won't do it, therefore you lost my business. It my advertising, my property.
What a waste of time these guys have been. It would be a different story if someone else tried to change my address but they would have to hack my Zillow account to do so. Advertise with Apartments.com too, they get it done better with less hassle and FREE!
I have been trying to get Zillow to correct my Zestimate on my home to no avail. Each time I contact them to provide them the correct information my Zestimate decreases... it actually seems intentionally punitive! Most recently it dropped $ 100 K in a single day. They are the absolute worst. They may have dodged a few random lawsuits for these behaviors... but, a huge class action suit will no doubt put them it their place... can't wait!
It is virtually impossible to get Zillow to respond to or help on the site. I am a landlord and have used Zillow for a few years. Whenever I have an issue, they are impossible to contact. I have sent emails as they require and never hear back. I strongly suggest that landlords find an alternate site for listings.
Morgan and her whole team are awesome and helped us build our new home. We have never had a Realtor that actually was involved like Carolina life. Professional and on top of everything. We would never use anyone else other than Morgan Brinson Fann.
Agree with most of the other posts here - the price data they have on zillow is just wrong. Two roughly identical houses on my street - one valued at $1.9M, the other at $1.2M. Same bedroom, bath, sq. Ft., acreage, amenities, etc. Don't bother with this site - it's useless.
You can put your house on Zillow for free as in for sale by owner, however, the remaining information on the page is generated by Zillow and is usually quite inaccurate. I have no idea how an internet site can "zestimate" the value of your home (unless they are asking realtors). This can be pretty damning. The internet doesn't know when the house was reroofed, whether or not the neighborhood is safe, or when the furnace was replaced. I have consistently seen the square footage or property taxes NOT match the county assessor's website. I can only say that it's okay to look, but don't take their website information as truth. Buying a house is a big investment.
Tip for consumers:
BEWARE! their website has a lot of inaccurate information on homes.
Guess what? You pay 29 dollars an application on zillow that you can use for 30 days, waste of money cause they allow to landlors to use their own application doc and of course you have pay again 30 to 50 dollars for every adult almost every time you apply for a place. Also the Zillow app and the website is a piece of sh... confusing, not organized, etc.
There is no guarantee that you will get an apart even when you have no issues, many people applied at the same time so there is a big chance of wasting your money on background check. They are supposed to take applicant by applicant so if no issues you can get the apartment but not, it is like a lottery.
I'd give Zillow a negative star if I could. It is a big scam - it publishes highly faulty information and runs a big business! I am surprised it hasn't been sued yet.
The information on Zillow is wrong and misleading. This site should be taken down!

BEWARE and THINK ABOUT SUING Zillow! Their Zestimate Tool undermines and sabotages any discounts you provide to potential buyers. Your house valuation goes down with every discount/reduction. So buyers do not believe they are getting a good deal. My house valuation went down 7+% in 6 months while many of the 1000+ in my home community stayed flat. I suggest everyone who is selling their house to start collecting the valuations around you every week. If you see what I see, think about suing. It is an easy case for anyone to understand and will easily side with you. Please feel free to reach out to me at *******@gmail.com if you want to start class action. Good luck!

Got their service 2 months ago since my husband wanted a place near Bloomington. We are searching online for a real estate company and found Zillow. Actually Zillow is not new to us since one of our relative introduces them befire and I heard that they are the real deal when it comes to real estate. Now, I can attest that they are indeed reliable and trustworthy company. They have showed us the best choices and offered us the best value for money. They gave us a clean title and we really love our new house here in Bloomington. Thanks you so much and hope you keep helping more people achieve their dream home.
Had an issue with an agent neglecting to submit an offer to seller. Wanted to protect other buyers from using her in the future and Zillow would not publish my add simply stating the offer and how agent not only did not submit it but never even returned my calls.
My active listing on Zillow is erroneously listed as Off Market. Yesterday morning Zillow "corrected" this temporarily, because later in the day it reverted to Off Market. Their history section claims that my realtor took it off the market yesterday, but my realtor stated that they never touched the site that day. I fear that potential buyers are overlooking my home due to this HUGE mistake. Zillow says that it often takes 3-4 weeks for MLS information to update on Zillow; this is unacceptable in today's real estate market. Also, Zestimates are not anywhere near correct; there must be a better site from which they make their calculations.
Zillow lets a computer run their system and they can't change anything. The comparable houses they used aren't near my house and don't look anything like my house. They also go by the Tax assessed value which doesn't take into consideration to improvements to my home. It's making it very difficult in trying to sell my home.
We decided to go through Zillow Offers to sell our home, signed our closing docs and went a full 4 days past our closing by date before Zillow finished their closing. My pregnant wife and I went 2 days without having a home since we needed the funds to be wired for closing on our new home. I wouldn't sell through them again if it were my only choice. I made it through the entire process without ever talking to my ‘agent' no matter how many times I left voicemails, texts, or emails over the entire 2 month process of receiving my initial offer. They aren't professional enough to be in the business of buying homes. I get better customer service at run down fast food restaurants.
They have undervalued our property for years and when we tell them they won't listen. The photo of our house was taken out a car window and in back of a street telephone pole (Absolutely a terrible photo)
I own two homes in wv, but in different county. They have them both over listed i am trying to resell one. Therefore i made a aaccount to try to adjust the price with no luck. So both the house are listed for 4.5-10 times more then there actually worth.
This site has completely made up numbers
Tip for consumers:
Don't it is made by a 4th grader.
I have a house that has been on market for three days and has still not been posted on zillow website. So people that go to zillow are not seeing all homes in Seattle area. Not a very good thing for home buyers.
Turned in a customer service request to get home listed. No response except a "Your request (xxxxxxx) has been received and is being reviewed by our support staff.
To add additional comments, reply to this email."
Well it's 5 days latter and no information or contact from a zillow rep.
Is this a real site with no customer service?
An automated response is not customer service, and not replying to my reply email as instructed is also not customer service. Hope to hear from you today.
Dear Zillow,
Just a word of gratitude and thanks to Andrea Mason Richards/Realtor Consultant to me regarding the sale of my home. Andrea went above and beyond in getting my home sold in 4 days. She was my counselor and guidance right up the end in less than a month. I Would recommend her with the highest utmost referrals to family and friends, even strangers. Very professional, very knowledgeable, very courteous. Was always ready to help as she heard my nervous voice over the phone with quick encouragement always. Andrea I can't thank you enough more than words can say.
KUDOS TO YOU! Keep up the excellent work you are doing. Believe me you are BLESSED….
Sincerely
Ann
I listed my house with zillow because they had it estimated at over $273,000, I listed it for $269,900, almost immediately they reduced it to $251,000 and a few days later they reduced it to $247,000 so I complained to the about this and they sent a message back that this is done by algorithm. And than reduced it to $245,000. I believe something should be done about this company. I did not check that allows Real Estate agents to contact me, maybe that's why.
Tip for consumers:
Stay away from them
I drove 3 hours to look at a property zillow listed and it wasn't even the correct address! I went to another site and found out, it was ANOTHER hour away! Mad is a understatement, this website is a joke, do not look for homes/land here, it might end up costing you more time and money than what you expected!
We had our house up for sale and they messed up the property showing another house altogether. Then, when we decided to rent our house instead, configuring the system to rent our house vs. having it for sale was a nightmare. The system is just full of bugs and virtually no support to help. What a hot mess.
Zillow has new communities posted. We were interested in a few of the homes. Speaking with an agent, the homes were available. Once the agent found out we had an agents. We were told the the home is under contract and that the price on Zillow is not correct, it's a higher price than what is listed. Is this there way of
