EHarmony takes the silver medal from me. Brilliant dating site, just behind WeJustFit.com (my gold winner) and that's impressive believe me, take it from a guy who has tried at least ten sites this year alone!
I get one like and after message for a day, realized he was a scammer. I tried to report it and left him on my site so they could look into it. I got crickets. I am seriously considering contacting State attorney general.

Tip for consumers:
That they don’t vet very well and that they cannot find one decent match so waste my time with faceless profiles.
What's even worse than their fake profiles and not knowing whether someone's account is still active… It's the completely false advertising to suck you in. They tell you, you can browse for free and yet all of the pictures are blurred out. When you do join all of a sudden the same people are not available as the ones that were blurred out before you joined.
Tip for consumers:
Just don’t waste your money. It’s an unscrupulous website plain and simple
If I can give zero star I will. I signed for 3 months they charge for the whole years! Then I tried to dispute was declined then they blocked your account where you already paid and charged for whole year! A month later aHarmony send me another bill for whole year again! WHAT?
I only used a few months where I barely go to online due the quality and limited amount of members they have.
Is this for real?
Does eharmony still open by scamming people?
Since some people just give up with their bullish
Why this site still around and running with that many complaints?
Why is it legal scamming people?
They don't have real customers service where you can speak too. That (800) number not even work.
Tip for consumers:
I hope authorities close down this pansy scheme
Out of 11 mutual "likes" (in six months), 7 of those profiles were blocked by eharmony AFTER we messaged each other twice... It just says the person was blocked for violating their terms (nothing offensive was said to me). So, eharmony is infected / infested with a high amount of scammers/fake/AI type profiles that they call "members"... for their statistical data. They do a bait and switch to make you think you are actually communicating with valid people/profiles. I took a screenshot below showing how eharmony will automatically block people after they let you message back and forth two or three times. I would consider myself attractive but live in a rural area. Nonetheless, I had set my filters to match up with people in other states. But, most of these people would email me similar sentences - so it was strange - eharmony allows this - and then they block the person afterward, to make it look like they're 'on it' with getting rid of scammers - yet those people remain on their site. Very fraudulent - I hope they get sued for the highly fraudulent / unethical behavior.
It was awful, no customer service "live person" to see what happened to my account. Spent hours trying to figure out what went wrong and got a note that something didn't match up on my profile? Again, no customer service to work things out. Thank you for reading.
Paid $370 for 6mo premium sub on 10/28/24. Members get 15 Match Unlock credit per month. Unaware that I need to screen for "fake" members, I used around 11 credits on fake accounts and 3 on real people, in less than two weeks I used all but 1 credit. And once that is gone (probably going to be wasted on another fake) The service will be useless until my monthly credits reset, almost three weeks from now. Around 66% of the accounts that I have interacted with are fake. There is a huge issue in the screening/quality control process for new members. For example, 60 members within 30 miles. 40 are fake, leaves 20 real. You match with 5. If I knew this I would rather talk to 5 people at the superrmarket and save almost $400 dollars. I tried to contact eharmony about my concerns, only to have some automated system tell me that I can't cancel my subscription and to read the terms and condition. I also tried to contact them via email to regain some of my lost credits and never heard back. I am not looking for a refund, I would rather have it fixed or my credits returned if the fake profile is confirmed and blocked as fake. Also, I want to warn future members before they make the same mistake. Eharmony won't address my complaint so I am posting it here.
Tip for consumers:
Don't do it. It will cost you in money, time and self-esteem
I was looking for love in my future so I posted a profile on E.Harmony I was happy friendly kind to everyone I sent message too on E.harmony I met some men made some friends and everything was great then one day I could not use my profile, so I asked my friends on E.harmony if they saw anything wrong with my profile they told me my profile and photo had a big red X on my face and that my profile said I was a fake scammer who was a thief and lier that my profile was nothing g but a fake I was so embarrassed I cried I know I am a good Christin lady I know I would never do or say anything wrong to anyone on E.harmony or would I ever think of lying or scamming anyone on E.harmony this is nothing fake about me I'm only looking for love and happiness with a good man instead E.Harmony sent a message to all of my friends on E.Harmony that said I was a scammer to all my friends, another problem is there is not any phone number for E.harmony I am guessing that no-one speaks English at E.Harmony is one reason why no-one can talk to them for any reason they can not be contracted they just do not care about anyone on there dating site for any reason it's sad, they change a lot of money, but would never talk with you over the phone it's a terrible dating site that seemed to want to make sure I had a terrible experience.
Please do not let this happen to you.
YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CANCEL YOUR ACCOUNT SO BE CAREFUL ABOUT SIGNING UP. The site is full of scammers. Like, if you think she's cute, she's not real. Seriously.
Poor selection of singles in the area, all of them are 60 to 100 miles away. When called to cancel my subscription after 9 days, I was basically told that I need to pay for the entire full year, I cant even delete my profile anymore, feels like a total kidnap. Shame of organization!
Tip for consumers:
Stay away from them
This company is the worth! All they care if about money! They don't have enough people for dating and most of then have no pictures. Customer service all they care is about money, they will go after you for 71.00 and other people have experience collection, you will never talk to a person is all auto emails collecting. Stay away read all the reviews from different places not just eharmony reviews! You will be running! Don't do it! Read read all the reviews do your homework! I did not!

I have now been informed that promising a customer something in exchange for money and not delivering on that service or product can be considered felony theft through fraud. I will contact the attorney general in their home state to see what it takes to get an investigation/arraignment/indictment/ and pressing of charges started. This 'company' must be brought to justice before more thousands of innocents are misled and suckered.
Shun this 'service' that has had huge numbers of negative reviews on line! Sorry to say that perception is not reality in the case of this dating service. All the promotion on line is self-serving and very strictly limited as to what is available to prospective members UNTIL THEY SIGN A $$$ CONTRACT!. In most states there is no 'cooling off period' to allow for cancellation if misrepresentation no matter how flagrant that is present...as in Idaho. Matches are NOT based on my priorities that I carefully put together. After paying one learns furthermore, many of the 'prospective recommended' individuals have no photos making it impossible to decide if it is worth following up on. The expensive and 'very long lasting memberships' are clearly designed to maximize their cash profit at EHarmony with no way to cancel after it is found to be a worthless 'service'. It appears that their service is designed to take advantage of lonely people going through tough episodes of divorce, spousal death, or just separation. Also I have tried to revise and narrow down with filters to no avail. After 3 days of this nonsense I am going to challenge my bill with my credit card company as this service appears to border on fraudulent behavior. A non-cancellation policy based on deliberate misrepresentation or especially outright fraud is non-enforceable according to court findings.
Tip for consumers:
I have to believe that their own reviews are fictitious since the reviews I've read in online review sources are uniformly horrible.
Products used:
Never used the service as it seemed bogus, of no help to me at all!
Eharmony advertised deal for $12.95/month for first 3 months and then normal $25.90/month. However, they charged me $139 and then wanted more. I disputed it but they put it in collection and my final damage ended up being over $550. Absolute false advertising and bait-and-switch.
I subscribed to eharmony. The site is not a good dating site. The bank account I gave eharmony for billing was subsequently closed. When the renewal was not paid, eharmony cut off the service to me. Then, eharmony turned me over to collections for almost a thousand dollars they say i owe under the contract even though they cut off the service. What a scam.
If you want to throw your money away….Don't sign a contract. They will not let you out and you lose money….This is worse than any free site. I had a six-month subscription to eHarmony, and in that time received about 20 matches, not one responded and the ones that did were scammers. I thought by the reputation eHarmony has and the price you pay would be a great site to join. I reported to eHarmony and all I get is a response that they removed the profile and not to communicate with member. I learned not to trust anyone on this site. Do not join. There is no screening at the eHarmony site that they say they do.
Tip for consumers:
Have asked for a refund or to stop and no results from eHarmony.
Horrible company. The app is old, poorly structured and ended up with zero dates. That's not even the worst part, I closed my account and they tried to bill me over $500 for the renewal I didn't approve. And when I didn't pay they sent me threatening emails saying they are going to send it to collections. Horrible company, will never recommend.
I have been checking the site for a few months and there are absolutely no responses! I attempted to cancel within 24 hours but they refused me! So I am paying for several months for absolutely nothing!
Tip for consumers:
Don’t do it it’s a ripoff!!
I tried a trial over a year ago and just got charged $90 without warning... Apparently the trial I did automatically signs me up for new memberships. Customer care doesn't care and is ignorant to my complaint, can't talk to a human neither. Boooooo!
Tip for consumers:
They told me it's in the policy and that I signed up for it. I did not sign up for anything and now they want $400 with $90/mo payments....
This is a scamming dating site.to rank 171 for a dating site, should tell you all you need to know. The dating options are terrible, the sign up is too confusing, and YOU CANNOT CANCEL AT ALL! Customer service is only email. Save your self needed stress EHARMONY is a for profit/robbery site, it is not a true self help option if you truly looking for someone
Tip for consumers:
Scammers, they do not vet on this dating site and you can tell. I'm sure people who signed up and left, but don't remove them.

I signed up for this service thinking it's monthly billing. They billed me $271.95 for a year. I signed up Saturday, 6/17, I wanted to cancel the same night. They were close Sunday. Today I'm told no refund 6/19 11:35am. And for a contest my dispute if not getting a refund, they only have email correspondence. Wait 24hrs for answer. Lol. I disputed this with my PayPal representative. I will not give you any money for a terrible/inactive site. I'm thinking these matches are not even active, probably signed up at some point. Why do some states get 3 day cancellations and some don't. Your a predator site. If you have the same problem thinking you sign up monthly but was billed yearly, register a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I am open for a class action lawsuit in Florida.
Tip for consumers:
Eharmony need a full overhaul, pricing, content and the website needs better transparency.
There were only like 20 guys in my area on eharmony, 19 of which were not my type at all. I messaged customer service asking for a cancellation because of the quality and quantity of matches and they refused plus told me I was stuck on the hook for 3 months at$85 a month. Ridiculously expensive and not even an inkling of help to get me any closer to finding someone who I'd like.
They make it as hard as they can to communicate about your account with them, but have no problem holding YOU accountable (no refunds) for automatic renewals! Phone numbers they give you to communicate with them are bogus and won't even go through when you call to talk to them. DO NOT give them your credit card number!
Tip for consumers:
I’ve read lots of reviews on eHarmony from people that have experienced the same things I have, and it’s very unfortunate that a business like this continues to get away with this. I tried blocking them from charging against my credit card in the future, but have to change my number to do that. Very unsettling when you can’t trust a business that is SUPPOSED to be a trusted business!
Hello, I signed thinking it's a one month plan and cancelled it believing I'm all set. Then out of no where I received notices that I still owe over $148 for 6 month plan. And I was sent to collections to my shock. I just setup to pay off the balance and I can't even use the site anymore. They're scammers and I wish I can sue them!
Tip for consumers:
Please. Stay away from E-Harmony. They will scam you out of your money!
EHarmony takes the silver medal from me. Brilliant dating site, just behind WeJustFit.com (my gold winner) and that's impressive believe me, take it from a guy who has tried at least ten sites this year alone!
I am 71 years old and met my wife when I was 65. It took almost two years to find each other but worth the effort. We're a perfect match and we've never been happier. While I would agree that some of my matches left me wondering what criteria were used; all of these sites rely on user honesty. I'm sure that lack of self esteem and loneliness can contribute to misrepresentation. Regardless of site, be patient; the person who is looking for you may be tomorrow's match. Suggestion: If possible, expand your geographic range. What might seem impossible in theory may become very possible for the right person; I'm from Maryland and my wife was from Ohio. Update: sixth anniversary; never been happier
Feeling good about eHarmony, been using the site for around a month and have a date set up with a really nice girl. A bit nervous to be honest as last date I had was through wejustfit.com a few weeks after I split with my ex girlfriend in March. Check the site out and run some searches, if you get good results then you'll be setting dates up like me in no time at all. Well worth it! Exciting times!
I am totally surprised by the bad reviews about your site. They are completely inaccurate. I think your site is amazing. I signed up half-heartedly at a friend's request, and to my complete surprise, 'met' someone who is incredibly compatible the very next day. Even if it doesn't work out in the end with him, at least I know that there are guys out there that have the qualities I want. Also your personality book is wonderful and was completely accurate. Thank you. I've already learned a lot about myself and my own relationship weaknesses from joining your site.
