I am totally surprised by the bad reviews about your site. They are completely inaccurate. I think your site is amazing. I signed up half-heartedly at a friend's request, and to my complete surprise, 'met' someone who is incredibly compatible the very next day. Even if it doesn't work out in the end with him, at least I know that there are guys out there that have the qualities I want. Also your personality book is wonderful and was completely accurate. Thank you. I've already learned a lot about myself and my own relationship weaknesses from joining your site.
Out of 11 mutual "likes" (in six months), 7 of those profiles were blocked by eharmony AFTER we messaged each other twice... It just says the person was blocked for violating their terms (nothing offensive was said to me). So, eharmony is infected / infested with a high amount of scammers/fake/AI type profiles that they call "members"... for their statistical data. They do a bait and switch to make you think you are actually communicating with valid people/profiles. I took a screenshot below showing how eharmony will automatically block people after they let you message back and forth two or three times. I would consider myself attractive but live in a rural area. Nonetheless, I had set my filters to match up with people in other states. But, most of these people would email me similar sentences - so it was strange - eharmony allows this - and then they block the person afterward, to make it look like they're 'on it' with getting rid of scammers - yet those people remain on their site. Very fraudulent - I hope they get sued for the highly fraudulent / unethical behavior.

Paid $370 for 6mo premium sub on 10/28/24. Members get 15 Match Unlock credit per month. Unaware that I need to screen for "fake" members, I used around 11 credits on fake accounts and 3 on real people, in less than two weeks I used all but 1 credit. And once that is gone (probably going to be wasted on another fake) The service will be useless until my monthly credits reset, almost three weeks from now. Around 66% of the accounts that I have interacted with are fake. There is a huge issue in the screening/quality control process for new members. For example, 60 members within 30 miles. 40 are fake, leaves 20 real. You match with 5. If I knew this I would rather talk to 5 people at the superrmarket and save almost $400 dollars. I tried to contact eharmony about my concerns, only to have some automated system tell me that I can't cancel my subscription and to read the terms and condition. I also tried to contact them via email to regain some of my lost credits and never heard back. I am not looking for a refund, I would rather have it fixed or my credits returned if the fake profile is confirmed and blocked as fake. Also, I want to warn future members before they make the same mistake. Eharmony won't address my complaint so I am posting it here.
Tip for consumers:
Don't do it. It will cost you in money, time and self-esteem

I get one like and after message for a day, realized he was a scammer. I tried to report it and left him on my site so they could look into it. I got crickets.
I am seriously considering contacting State attorney general.
Tip for consumers:
That they don’t vet very well and that they cannot find one decent match so waste my time with faceless profiles.

I was looking for love in my future so I posted a profile on E.Harmony I was happy friendly kind to everyone I sent message too on E.harmony I met some men made some friends and everything was great then one day I could not use my profile, so I asked my friends on E.harmony if they saw anything wrong with my profile they told me my profile and photo had a big red X on my face and that my profile said I was a fake scammer who was a thief and lier that my profile was nothing g but a fake I was so embarrassed I cried I know I am a good Christin lady I know I would never do or say anything wrong to anyone on E.harmony or would I ever think of lying or scamming anyone on E.harmony this is nothing fake about me I'm only looking for love and happiness with a good man instead E.Harmony sent a message to all of my friends on E.Harmony that said I was a scammer to all my friends, another problem is there is not any phone number for E.harmony I am guessing that no-one speaks English at E.Harmony is one reason why no-one can talk to them for any reason they can not be contracted they just do not care about anyone on there dating site for any reason it's sad, they change a lot of money, but would never talk with you over the phone it's a terrible dating site that seemed to want to make sure I had a terrible experience.
Please do not let this happen to you.

YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CANCEL YOUR ACCOUNT SO BE CAREFUL ABOUT SIGNING UP. The site is full of scammers. Like, if you think she's cute, she's not real. Seriously.
Date of experience: October 21, 2024
What's even worse than their fake profiles and not knowing whether someone's account is still active… It's the completely false advertising to suck you in. They tell you, you can browse for free and yet all of the pictures are blurred out. When you do join all of a sudden the same people are not available as the ones that were blurred out before you joined.
Tip for consumers:
Just don’t waste your money. It’s an unscrupulous website plain and simple

If I can give zero star I will. I signed for 3 months they charge for the whole years! Then I tried to dispute was declined then they blocked your account where you already paid and charged for whole year! A month later aHarmony send me another bill for whole year again! WHAT?
I only used a few months where I barely go to online due the quality and limited amount of members they have.
Is this for real?
Does eharmony still open by scamming people?
Since some people just give up with their bullish
Why this site still around and running with that many complaints?
Why is it legal scamming people?
They don't have real customers service where you can speak too. That (800) number not even work.
Tip for consumers:
I hope authorities close down this pansy scheme

It was awful, no customer service "live person" to see what happened to my account. Spent hours trying to figure out what went wrong and got a note that something didn't match up on my profile? Again, no customer service to work things out. Thank you for reading.

Poor selection of singles in the area, all of them are 60 to 100 miles away. When called to cancel my subscription after 9 days, I was basically told that I need to pay for the entire full year, I cant even delete my profile anymore, feels like a total kidnap. Shame of organization!
Tip for consumers:
Stay away from them

I have now been informed that promising a customer something in exchange for money and not delivering on that service or product can be considered felony theft through fraud. I will contact the attorney general in their home state to see what it takes to get an investigation/arraignment/indictment/ and pressing of charges started. This 'company' must be brought to justice before more thousands of innocents are misled and suckered.

Shun this 'service' that has had huge numbers of negative reviews on line! Sorry to say that perception is not reality in the case of this dating service. All the promotion on line is self-serving and very strictly limited as to what is available to prospective members UNTIL THEY SIGN A $$$ CONTRACT!. In most states there is no 'cooling off period' to allow for cancellation if misrepresentation no matter how flagrant that is present...as in Idaho. Matches are NOT based on my priorities that I carefully put together. After paying one learns furthermore, many of the 'prospective recommended' individuals have no photos making it impossible to decide if it is worth following up on. The expensive and 'very long lasting memberships' are clearly designed to maximize their cash profit at EHarmony with no way to cancel after it is found to be a worthless 'service'. It appears that their service is designed to take advantage of lonely people going through tough episodes of divorce, spousal death, or just separation. Also I have tried to revise and narrow down with filters to no avail. After 3 days of this nonsense I am going to challenge my bill with my credit card company as this service appears to border on fraudulent behavior. A non-cancellation policy based on deliberate misrepresentation or especially outright fraud is non-enforceable according to court findings.
Tip for consumers:
I have to believe that their own reviews are fictitious since the reviews I've read in online review sources are uniformly horrible.
Products used:
Never used the service as it seemed bogus, of no help to me at all!

I cancelled the membership and they refused. They continue to try to charge my credit card. My bank has blocked them.
I am formulating a class action suit. Anyone want to hop on board?

Do not use this company

Eharmony advertised deal for $12.95/month for first 3 months and then normal $25.90/month. However, they charged me $139 and then wanted more. I disputed it but they put it in collection and my final damage ended up being over $550. Absolute false advertising and bait-and-switch.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Scammers set you up with auto renewal as default, take a year's subscription without permission and won't pay back upon noticing. It's not like I waited a month to request it, just a few days. Haven't used their service. Any other business would just refund no problem. Greed!
Date of experience: March 2, 2023
Avoid using E Harmony at all costs!
I joined last year when they had an offer on, I think it was £60 for the year. I turned off the auto renewal as I always do as I don't agree with company's automatically renewing a service for a years time when it might not be required.
I have been bombarded with emails saying I now owe them £166.80 as i have renewed for another year and I need to make the payment before further action is taken. I've requested to speak to a real human to explain the situation but all I get is an auto generated email response and the customer service number doesn't even ring.
They have now passed my case onto a debt collection company who are now sending me emails. Tried to call them 5 times and left messages but so far no one has called me back. Disgusting companies ripping people off.

No respond from any of my matches In first week,I just had refund about 50% of amount.Im not recommend eHarmony website to anyone,In my opinion other
Dating services are a lot better. Also in Eharmony you can view only your matches, you can't see anyone else.

Basically, the idea is to write something critical of eHarmony on your dating profile, and get it past their censorship. It's like a puzzle game! If you want to see how many times you can curse eHarmony, before they terminate your account - go for it! I mean, why not? Their censorship algorithm is about the only thing that works well on their website, and it gives their worthless staff members something to do. Otherwise, they spend all day collecting money, and not offering appropriate matches, or an enjoyable experience, to the point where they HAVE to kick people off just for saying: "You know what? I'm getting really tired of this BS!"
Date of experience: February 13, 2023
After trying to delete this dating app I was told I could not delete it but didn't know about the auto renewal. Was automatically charged $805 on my credit card even though I tried to delete it and haven't used it in months.
If you ask me this is nothing short of a scam plus the site itself sucks. I highly recommend people save there money and use bumble instead. Bumble has a way better setup with more users.
Hope this was helpful and will deter people from ever using eharmony.
Tip for consumers:
Don’t use this site at all
Date of experience: January 13, 2023
This company isn't interested in anything but their yearly fee.
I realized early into my subscription I was not ready to be on any apps to date and reached out to customer service and they denied cancellation. Now they are sending the last three payments for my unused account to a debt collector. Repulsive.
Date of experience: September 26, 2023
Eharmony is expensive, yes. Even worse than that there are barely any profiles with pictures. When you try to get your money back because of this, it's a flat NO. If you have ZERO preferences and don't care a thing about your standards in a partner, this is definitely your site! If I could give - 0 stars, I would.
Tip for consumers:
Don’t waste your money or your time

Hello, I signed thinking it's a one month plan and cancelled it believing I'm all set. Then out of no where I received notices that I still owe over $148 for 6 month plan. And I was sent to collections to my shock. I just setup to pay off the balance and I can't even use the site anymore. They're scammers and I wish I can sue them!
Tip for consumers:
Please. Stay away from E-Harmony. They will scam you out of your money!

So I had technical problems that prevented me from actually communicating with people like 90% of the time. I spoke with someone who said I would get a call back 24 to 48 hours and it's now weeks later and I still don't have a call back. I found lots of horrible reviews online. Wish I would have looked beforehand. Stupid. I'm sure they're sitting back saying yay we got another one!
Tip for consumers:
I really feel like this is an absolutely horrible company I wish I would have read more on it before I signed up

I live in a small town, (just over 10,000 people). Three local matches, despite wide search parameters and a willingness to drive 1 to 2 hours and many months. Tried to get together with all matches. Was able to see one and it didn't work out. Many months have passed with no local matches. It's an expensive subscription. Don't sign up unless you're willing to travel, (lots of matches five hours away). Or, you live in a largish city. Never again with this subscription service.
Tip for consumers:
There's got to be a better way.

I've read so many bad stories about dating scams that it took me forever to convince myself to join a dating site. But what can I say, I guess I am more lucky than most other guys. Joined eHarmony and Chemistry but also Mingle2day and Tinder. Personally, Mingle2day and eharmony worked best for me. Met a few women off both sites. Totally recommendable.
