The first time I accepted the offer it was accepted and then the transaction was cancelled (I think by 1stDibs, not the seller) for some unknown reason. It was unclear what I needed to do next. Also, I specified delivery to a FedEx office in Bend for pickup. The seller said she would arrange that and charge me $500 (maybe she still will - I don't know) but when I placed the order a second time the only alternative to check was in-home delivery for $599. Also the seller says delivery will be in, I think, 5-9 days but when I place the order with 1stDibs it's saying 4-9 weeks. I still don't know what to expect.

Exquisite collections from which to choose. Sellers offer the best customer service possible. I am extremely happy with my purchases. I know that my daughters-in-law and granddaughters will be very happy to receive the jewelry I chose to pass down to them.

The watch arrived with no issues. However, the watch was too small for my wife.
I contacted the company within the 3 days and was issued an accepted refund.
However they would not and still wont provide a return address for the watch and now say I am out of my return time and cannot get a refund.|
This is theft. I will be reclaiming my money back through my bank on the grounds of fraud.
It is disgusting that this company is attempting this.
Choose any other website for your purchases. Save yourself the stress and the money.
I wanted a diamond ring for March. Ordered it in Jan 2021. It is June 2021 and neither do I have the ring, and nor is anyone following up. I have sent more messages than I can count, and on multiple platforms. Luxury marketplace? Amazon is better than these guys. They had the nerves to even tell me I can not cancel the order, when I got fed up! Neither will I ever purchase from 1st dibs, nor will I let anyone in my circle do that ever either. Not only have I lost the chance to have the ring on time, but the 1 month I wasted on getting the custom ring made. Now in 2035 probably when this is resolved, then I have to start over and get a new ring custom-made. But it will be from a better platform, of course!
Amazing how easy it was! Only problem is that my old password did not work.

Purchased a $10,000. Art work and after 4 weeks hadn't received any tracking information. 1st Dibs did not respond to any online enquiries. I had to call from Australia to get any help and even now still have no item and they are holding my money. Appalling business. Would def not recommend a purchase through them.
Have tried on the live chat four times to speak to someone regarding a very expensive piece of furniture that arrived damaged. After two months still unresolved, each person at 1st dibs I speak to tells me they can't provide info, they had me wait home twice for a pick up that never occurred, the info they gave me for the courrier doesn't work. I'm just stuck. The customer service is horrible.

Terrible experience with London Dealer Rhodes Fine Arts. Very disappointed in 1stDibs customer service regarding this. Be aware, IstDibs offers a lot of promises regarding purchase protection, but just try to get ahold of them. Good luck. With that... We expected a vetted / honest Dealer (yeah, we know), and an avenue thru 1stDibs to resolve any purchase issues. Didn't happen - Our design team has learned a lot thru this
Purchased something, arrived broken, mover asked if it came from a barn, customer service NEVER responded, seller said they would fix the problem and never responded, 1st dibs told the seller to let them handle it. Absolutely zero customer service and fraudulent business practices. Buyer beware.

Answer: It's a real company. But as I have learned by experience their policies and buyer protection are a scam. They mark up prices and sell high. You over spend and no way to get a refund. I'm highly disappointed in their ethics. Don't buy, look elsewhere.
