“The only place for quality, original designs”

When we start a new company or concept, 99designs is the only place we go for design work. We can put our concept out to hundreds of designers at once and whittle down to what we like. Many of these designers have incredibly original and inventive designs. We like being able to "tweak" designs as we narrow down, and always are more than satisfied with the end results. The timeframe is perfect for us - giving us time to make a decision while not feeling the process becomes "stale". And, customer support with 99designs, in my opinion, is TOP-NOTCH. Contacting me when needed but not pushing anything. If I have questions, I get answers quickly and professionally. Highly recommend!

My designer level has dropped, but my graphic design skills are still strong, and my communication has improved, which makes clients happy with my designs, I already have many art school certifications. I have been a talented designer for 12 years. However there are still empty slots on the project browser, and they have stopped working on limited to 15 contests. 99designs is not a good platform for them.

This process at first was very intriguing to me. Once, I chose the winning designer based on an image they posted, I was in for a rude awakening. What I did not know, was that the image they promoted was a 3D image. And a 3D image was not what I was going to get for my LOGO. Hummmm... I suppose if I was a graphics expert, I would have known this? Please beware that what you see is NOT going to be what you get! Ask the designer to ONLY show you real renderings of what you will get for the images you are paying for. They showed me 3D images and I truly thought this was the logo they were presenting. That being said, I did not and will not be getting what I wanted and paid for on this site. Very sad, but true. Now I am out $400 and have to start all over again.

I don't understand, my design has 4 star and get into final step, but i have really surprise, there is 2 contestant can comes to final steps without ratings.
And more surprise 2 of them making same ideas with mine. And booom, and the winner is the one of them. And copied same colors and same style of mine too.
How could this happen?..

I was one of the first adopters of 99designs. It was a lot of work back 8-9 years ago but it was the only solution. However I had to get a refund back in two of the last batch of contests.

One of them was difficult, they forced you to call him but no one is there to answer the phone, you wait and disconnect. You have to do this many times. Now with the latest contest, I called in several times, waited a long time, had to leave a voicemail but never got a callback. To me that's a scam. I don't know how to get my money back.

Like most users of 99Designs, I'm a busy business owner I do not have time to keep on calling them.

I will never use them again! Horrible experience.

Great way to get a broad range of concepts resulting in a unique design. Great resource for small businesses who are on a budget. I also love that you can get a design in as little as 2-3 days if you are on a tight timeline.

I not happy designer for 99designs. Do they have selfie refunded me designer for their stuff from winner me, I no longer be paid and I will be suspended for the violation. I had been five refunded.
I issues that violation.

I joined on 99designs 3 years ago and I have no regrets. I learned a lot, I earned ... maybe not a lot, but enough.
99designs is a really good platform with a friendly interface and a proffesional staff. Congrats!

My experience:

1. Recommended by a business colleague
2. Ran a company logo contest for $599
3.131 entries
4. Selected 3 for final round
5. First round of emails stating: "$#*! You!" for not selecting their design
6. Selected final design
7. Second round of hate emails telling same as first round.
8. Paid winning designer
9. Third round of emails with losing designers pointing out the winning design was plagiarised (confirmed on TinyEye)
10. EMails to 99Designs asking for refund: replies received- none
11. Live chat inquiries responded to by 99Designs: none
12. Second round of emails to 99Designs support. Replies received: none

Utter, utter waste of time. Money

So, made a few designs, about 6 or 7, and they all were good looking and made just how they needed to be and just when I was about to find out if I got qualified in 2 contests I suddenly i got suspended! Why? My work doesn't fit the site! I was shocked, because I've had experience with making logos and designs! When I searched in google the reason I got kicked, I found out that plenty people have been kicked for the same reason, and not even unexperienced people, pros and artists that have been making logos for over 10 years have been suspended/kicked for the same reason!... So in summary, it's a site that doesnt support their artists enough and a site that doesnt really care about artists. I feel shocked and ver angry, because it took me 2 days to make those logos...

Dissapointed after we didnt like any of the logos and website designs to find out we had been charged allready and we couldnt get a refund cause we didnt ask for our money back in time!
Then was told that we could re open the account to give it another go, but then when tried to take up that offerseveral times, they dont respond back.

Not happy after spending $1,000 on nothing!

Hallo

I always sent email 99designs support but till now no response from 99designs:(
I want to request payout, there is an instruction to verify account, i do it to verify my account. And i try to uploaded my National-Government-ID / Driver's-License and my Photo... i try 3 times but always failed..."unfortunately your documents couldn't be processed "... what happened? Would 99designs to check it please...

Disclaimer, I haven't used the sites services yet. But, I really like the concept. You send out a design project to a bunch of graphics designers and specify the amount of money you're willing to spend on the project. Then, any designer who's willing to take on the project comes back to you with design proposals or drafts. You keep iterating with them until you end up with a logo, splashscreen, etc. that you like. In the end, you only have to pay the designer that created the winning design. Prices seems really reasonable, $200-$500 for a professional logo. Compared to what a "professional" design and brand management shops charge (thousands!), that's a great deal. Plus you get the benefit of picking the brains of multiple designers, without having to pay for the ones that you don't like.

I found Sherwin Soy on a website called 99Designs. On May 29,2019, I paid $200- for Sherwin Soy to create a book cover for me. He said I would have a draft in 5-7 days. That came and went and he never provided a draft. I asked him to provide the draft for over a month. He kept giving me excuse after excuse. I finally told him to cancel my order and give me a refund. I filed a dispute with Paypal and he refuses to respond to Paypal. He emailed me and told me that I would have the refund over a week ago, but he is still has not provided the refund. I need my money back so I can find another designer. Sherwin Soy has wasted over 5 weeks of my time and stolen my money. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS DESIGNER.

Tip for consumers:
Do Not Work With Sherwin Soy.

Products used:
Sherwin Soy never provided the book cover/graphic design services that I paid $200- for. It has been 5 weeks and he is refuses to respond to my dispute claim via Paypal. His plan is to hold onto my money for as long as he can.

We didn't know what to expect You came highly recommended by a friend and we have had a graphic designer for our company for years. We decided to take a change and it was a great experience. Some designs weren't what were were invisioning, but most were great.

It's a scam. From a contest holder:
"This is a joke. Lxxxxxx coerced Dxxx Hxxxxxxxxxxx into choosing him as the winner of the contest so he could get the job without any competitors getting in the way. This is a breach of contest rules and unfair to all other designers. We apologize to all the legitimate designers that probably could have won the contest with designs that were much better than this garbage. It's an unfair process and 99designs needs to declare the contest unfair and rigged. 99designs should disqualify Lxxxxxx and refund the money back to Dxxx Hxxxxxxxxxxx. Unfortunately this is not happening and DH will be seeking legal relief to remedy the situation."

You never never can get 100+ more design under 7days from 1000+ designers like what they say. I paid $1300 for the logo. After 5 day, I got 10 similar logo from 6 designers But I don't like them at all. They look all the same. It's look cheap for a Premium Platium package. Another a few days, I got 4 more. :(( (((. And they said I have to pick some of them to make final list. I didn't have many choices. I picked 3 of them. Day after " please, pick the winner and don't forget after select the winner you are not able to get refund". So surprised. I didn't know about it before.- 100 guarantee back?. There was a design I though much better than these another. I asked the designer to fix it 2 times but it's still not what I want. When I keft asking him to fix it He sended a private massage" I got some more ideas, I'll send it to you if I become the winner" what I can do. I picked him :(( ... The end of the road I paid $1300 for a logo which I'll never use for my shop.

This is very poor website according to services not for working as a freelancer, They block account without intimating, is the big problem 0% flexibility with freelancers.

Disgraceful outcome, didn't follow my brief, rushed any further edits, didn't listen, completed job not at all suitable for its purpose. Will have to rip up and start again. Complete waste of money

We just ran our first 99Designs contest, and the results were wonderful. Before going to 99Designs, we spent a lot of money with two professional book design firms recommended by the Independent Book Publishers Association. The problem with a single design firm is you only get what is in their heads and you pay them whether they come up with anything useful or not. With 99Designs, we started at $299 and then after seeing that the designs were worthwhile, we guaranteed the prize and then extended the contest twice (which adds money to the prize each time). We received 129 entries from 25 designers. The end result was 4 great designs, any of which would have worked for us. We then used the POLL technology within 99Designs to poll some potential readers to help us pick the final design.

Please note that you have to guide the designers actively by giving feedback on what you do or don't like and what you are trying to accomplish, but I would definitely do this again.

BTW, I would take any negative comments that say they never heard back from 99Designs as completely bogus. We called them three times and emailed once during this process and they were always immediately responsive.

It's a great program. You can get many different designers with talent competing for your business. You can see other perspectives and not be stuck with one graphic design. We will use them again.

The concept where different designers can see each others' designs and how they fare with you is great, and it can't be beaten by any single company, no matter how well you pay them

Crab. Waste of time... If you submit too many designs... they will block and suspend your account. Other app are far better way than this... its just a waste of time n energy..
